One of the reasons my husband and I selected the Homestead Inn was the breakfast part of the Bed and Breakfast concept. When looking for somewhere to stay, we saw there was a café across the street, which served the breakfast and according to the website offered a dinner menu. When we checked in, we were informed that the café was seasonal and that it was not open for even breakfast. In the suite, there was some fruit but we were really looking for a breakfast because of medical reasons and a long stressful day a head of me. We were also expecting to get dinner there. Getting there after a long drive then finding out we had to travel 25 minutes to find something other than pizza or bar food was very disappointing. The Homestead Inn is a beautiful house that is very cozy and is located RIGHT beside a road (and brick building that is falling down), which is quite busy. The traffic was loud and constant all night long and I did not get much sleep before a long, very important, stressful day. The reason why I put the rating about value that I did is because we had a gift card that we used for this stay. If I would have paid full price, I would have been VERY upset.
