A Cozy Country Welcome!

4.8 on June 29, 2016

We enjoyed a wonderful stay upstairs in the Inn. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends or family. Larry and Paula are very welcoming and easy be around. They worked hard to make sure we had anything we needed. Rooms were clean and cozy and homey. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars for the rooms is that the upstairs set of rooms has an odd approach to the bathroom - a few stairs up. It was well-lit, but those with any kind of walking issue may find it challenging to get to the bathroom at night. But since this is an old converted farmhouse, it is understandable. We had a great stay!

A wonderful anniversary celebration!

4.2 on June 27, 2016

My wife and I went to relax and celebrate our anniversary. Our Hosts were outstanding. In spite of the event of a severe storm and electricity loss, the automatic generator kicked right in. The old inn felt so secure and comfortable. We felt as if we were family members and will mark this one down as one of our BEST B&B experiences.

Relaxing Mountain Escape

4.2 on April 19, 2016

Larry, Paula, and their adorable pup were very welcoming and accommodating for our weekend stay. We enjoyed spending time with them, and taking a great recommendation for dinner at another local B&B. The breakfast was delicious and filling! Comfortable room, but interesting lay-out with the bathroom; although did not pose a problem. The water smelled sulfurous, but did not linger after bathing. Overall, I would return again! Thank you Larry and Paula.

Two Night Stay for Ski Trip

4.6 on February 02, 2016

We stayed at the Chestnut Ridge Country Inn for two nights while skiing at Snowshoe. The drive to and from the top of the mountain was around 30 minutes (very doable given the price difference). Paula and Larry were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. They were also accommodating of my dietary restrictions (gluten-free) and prepared a breakfast both mornings that was enjoyable. They also has a friendly, well-behaved dog who loved being loved (which we were more than happy to do). Overall we enjoyed our experience and would look to stay there in the future!!

This trip was our first experience with a B & B. We enjoyed our visit. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Larry and Paula are very friendly hosts. They were very helpful with suggestions for the area. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed quiet time on the porches.

Larry and Paula are great hosts and we enjoyed our stay very much. The guestroom was spacious as was the attached bathroom. The Garretson's were very knowledgeable about the area and made great suggestions for sites we could visit and resturants in the area.

Cozy and Friendly Country Charm!

A wonderful bed & breakfast in a gorgeous country setting! We truly enjoyed our stay here! Paula and Larry are such warm, welcoming hosts. Our room was very clean and cozy! The house is a very charming, country farmhouse. The breakfasts were delicious too. We enjoyed homemade pumpkin pancakes and fantastic omelettes! If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place to just be, you've found it!
