Reynolds House Bed and Breakfast

111 S. 7th Ave , Sturgeon Bay, 54235 USA (Show map)

Voted "Best in the Midwest" in Midwest Living Magazine and "Best Breakfast" in Inn Traveler Magazine. Relax and unwind in the elegance of the Reynolds House Bed and Breakfast - a Arts and Crafts home in beautiful historic downtown Sturgeon Bay. The Reynolds House has a huge wrap-a-round porch with hand cut limestone columns, and an oversized porch swing with several gardens that are in bloom from April through October Inside the historic home you'll find maple flooring, craftsman style oak woodwork and paneling, oak mantled fireplaces, leaded glass windows and stained glass windows the owner created. Period antique furnishings from the early 1700's to the 1900's fill the many common rooms and guest bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen bed with quilts or down comforters, private baths, some with whirlpool tubs, ceiling fans and central heat and air conditioning. The owner is also the chef who creates a two course gourmet breakfast you won't find at any other establishment on the peninsula - asparagus filled savory crepes, hazelnut polenta torte, orange infused breakfast croissants, or a sausage and prosciutto roll may be served at the harvest table in the oak-paneled dining room or wether permitting on the front porch with a hot cup of custom blended coffee or tea. Fresh cookies or sweet breads from scratch are offered every day for an afternoon snack or bedtime snack. Celie, the resident puggle will make sure no dropped cookie crumb is under appreciated.

First bed and breakfast

5 on August 07, 2017

After many years of a promised bed and breakfast, I finally took my husbands offer and booked a room at the Reynolds House B & B. It did not disappoint. We were met by our host David and his dog Celie and immediately felt at home. The home is beautiful. We stayed in the Dragonfly Room. Although it did not have many antiques, it was a warm and inviting room. We would stay in this room again. David was an interesting host with many stories about the area. He was a wealth of knowledge. Our breakfast was outstanding. We were very impressed with David's cooking skills, from plating to actual taste. From the delicious cookies (different each day), to the breakfasts of "Sausage and Prosciutto Roll" and Asparagus Frittata's we left very satisfied. We enjoyed our first ever bed and breakfast and will return here when we visit Door County again.

The best stay in Sturgeon Bay... was a really good touch to a weekend full of adventure and exploring Door County.

I went to the Reynolds House B&B for a mini moon. We wanted to have a relaxing place to stay since we knew we'd be packing as much as we could into our schedule. We got more than we thought. The hose David went out of his way to make us reservations throughout Door County for dinner. I had asked him about some of the best places to eat, so he reserved spots for us on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there. His knowledge of the area and his networking skills paid off big. No complaints. -Wally

This B&B is a great place to stay.

Our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and it was wonderful. The house was very inviting as was the owner David and his sweet little dog. We enjoyed talking with David, his amazing breakfasts and simply relaxing. We hope to visit again someday.

This was our first trip to Door County and a B&B. We loved both! David was the perfect host, he made us feel very welcomed, even though we arrived late the first night. He is very knowledgeable about the area and his stories are very interesting. David is an excellent cook and breakfast both mornings was exceptional. We definitely will be back!

Where to stay in Sturgeon Bay!

Three-day stay with David in his beautiful inn. Not only was the home everything one would expect from a lovingly cared for Victorian, but innkeeper David stands well above most in his passion for cooking and allowing you to share his delightful culinary presentations. Special requests were cheerfully accommodated.

Outstanding B&B

Nicely furnished historic home. Convenient location in Sturgeon Bay. David was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and the Reynolds House history. The breakfasts and home-baked treats were delicious! We had a very relaxing and enjoyable 3 night stay. Plan to return this fall.

Our stay here couldn't have been better the room was lovely and the breakfasts were amazing. David, our host, made us feel at home and had great suggestions on what to do and where to eat in the area. We will definitely be going back to Reynolds House our next trip to the area.

About the innkeepers

I became a BnB owner and chef after searching over ten years for the perfect home and location - Sturgeon Bay and the Reynolds House checked off all the boxes for my dream BnB! I have stayed in over 150 BnB's around the world and now I can repeat what I liked most from my favorite BnBs - a big communal table, unique food served fresh and in healthy portions with healthy ingredients. When I am not busy around the house I am in a state park walking my puggle - Celie and enjoying the fresh air.
