Our first B & B

5 on August 28, 2018

This was our first time to try a stay at a Bed and Breakfast. Our hosts were great and many extras that were unexpected. And this Victorian style/age home was stunning. We would encourage anyone looking to stay to choose this place.

Fabulous B&B

Hosts were great, breakfast delicious and the rooms were beautiful.

My Favorite B&B

5 on June 30, 2018

Jennifer, the Innkeeper, is the most organized hostess. She is knowledgeable about the Sparta area and can reccommend restaurants, activities, and historical walks. Breakfasts are delicious (even the gluten-free options). The roomsare quaint and well appointed, with lots of extra little touches. I look forward to my next stay!

Best in the Midwest!

5 on June 22, 2018

We enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay in Sparta, IL at the Franklin Victorian B&B. Our hostess really knows how to cater to the most discriminating guest. Every convenience and comfort was anticipated. The home is exceptionally beautiful and lovingly kept to its historic accuracy. Breakfast was superb in the home's family dining room, with bird feeders outside to watch the local birds. Our hostess gave us many suggestions as to local activities and points of interest. Also, the many menus on hand gave us plenty of options for dinner. We couldn't imagine a more welcoming or enjoyable stay!

Bike Trail - Elroy/Sparta Stay

4.0 on June 21, 2018

The Franklin was wonderful! Close to downtown, eats and shopping. Jennifer was a great B & B Innkeeper. Provided great recommendations and a wonderful drive to Elroy so we could ride the entire trail back to Sparta. She is full of knowledge and was willing to give us lots of history about the trail, Amish, and her story! Definitely recommend The Franklin Inn!

Our 3rd stay!

5 on June 20, 2018

The Franklin Victorian B & B is so inviting and a great place to stay. The breakfasts are delicious, with special diet restrictions taken into consideration. The rooms are spacious & comfortable, you feel like you are at home, except you are being pampered! The location is great also, the Franklin Victorian is within walking distance of the downtown and shops and restaurants. We cannot wait to come back!

Great stay!

The Franklin Victorian B&B is a great place to stay. Jennifer is a fantastic host and very accommodating to your needs. Sparta is a nice town to visit. We rode the Elroy-Sparta bike trail on a beautiful day with seeing beautiful scenery, farmland and small towns. This is one B&B we would definitely return to.

About the innkeepers

We moved to Sparta, Wisconsin in 2002 and are enjoying running an award winning bed and breakfast ever since. Jennifer wanted to own and run a bed and breakfast. With her interior design background, it only seemed natural. Both Jennifer and Steve had grown up in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Because of their love of the Midwest and their family ties in Wisconsin, they wanted to return to their roots. We love what we are doing, so come visit we would love meeting you!
