We stayed at the Lochnaiar a second time while visiting family and it remains a wonderful place to stay in Racine. Shea continues to create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for her guests. While our stay was short, we left fully refreshed. Taking in the lake from the sitting room of the Master Suite was a highlight, and with a dining table it made for the perfect spot for our date night dinner. The Inn is perfectly located to take in all the historic houses in the area and enjoy an afternoon downtown shopping; all within easy walking distance. There is no other option when we are in Racine! Thanks Shea!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Lochnaiar. We were warmly greeted, and Shea filled us in on the history of the building. The décor is beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of Lake Michigan. There is a bike/walking path along the lake that we hoped to use. Unfortunately, it was windy and raining while we were there. Hope to return soon!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely stay at Lochnaiar Inn. First of all, the lighting was so lovely in the first floor dining and seating areas with lovely Lake and Garden views. The wine, cheese and sausage the first night were very tasty. Bed was very comfortable. Decor throughout the entire facility was fresh and beautifully done. Would definitely stay again, but next time for two nights.

We just wanted a spot where we could unwind with a view of a lake. What a wonderful surprise the Lochanair was! Charm and serenity incarnate overlooking the blue expanse of Lake Michigan (gorgeous sunrise!). Our room was spotless and comfortable. Delicious breakfast. Owners strive to make guests at home with amenities like coffee, tea, cold drinks and snacks. Our fellow guests were a delight. Highly recommend the Lochanair!

Lochnaiar is such a beautiful and serene place to visit. The Premium suite is AMAZING! The shower alone is the most relaxing, amazing, and perfect for more than one reason. The jetted extra large tub is absolutely perfect with candles and bath salts for added extras! And the view is spectacular! So the room was BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT, and AMAZING, but the owners are just as AWESOME, KIND, and WELCOMING with all the little "extras" from an upgrade just because they felt we may need a little extra, to the wine and cheese from 5-7, the refrigerator in the hall filled with various sodas and drinks, to the snacks and York peppermint patties. There are games and movies available to use as you wish, and the home is decorated so beautifully and serene. Thank YOU, because YOU made our visit to Racine worth the trip!

Great location on the lake in Racine. We took many walks along the lake front and through the historic homes neighborhood. Gorgeous decor, great shower. We were there during the week so didn't get to experience the breakfast other than breads, boiled eggs, etc. They did have Bendsen's Kringle every morning.

While in Racine, I had a sinus infection so stayed in our beautiful room for the bulk of our visit. I can't think of a more comfortable or accommodating place to be while feeling under the weather. Thanks Shea for being so helpful.

This is a luxury inn without the price. Stayed here for a weekend with some members of our family. Didn't expect the level of quality of accommodations we had here. The interior decoration was tasteful done. We enjoyed wine and cheese hour and continental breakfast as well as a tasty, sit down breakfast between 9 and 10am. The place is spotlessly clean. There is a nice 3-mile loop along Lake Michigan that takes one to a fishing pier and marina. Town of Racine is not too far.
Originally the childrens playroom this bright and cheery suite has views of Lake Michigan with a king size sleigh bed overlooking the real flame fireplace. There is also a seperate sitting area with a sleeper sofa and comfy chair for relaxing. The spacious bath has jacuzzi tub with shower and a pedistal sink.
Our exquisite Master suite features a queen size bed with lovely views of Lake Michigan and the fireplace with original mantles. French doors lead to your own private sunroom with sitting area and table and chairs. A perfect place for morning coffee. The bathroom has a freestanding double jaccuzi bath overlooking another original fireplace and a massive walk in shower. It also can be attached to room 3 for use as a two bedroom suite.
Lovely room on second floor that can also be joined to the Master Suite to create a two bedroom suite. It has a pretty mansion queen size bed and a double window with window seat that looks out over Lake Michigan. There is also a real flame freplace that completes the room. The original bath has a deep soaking empress soaking tub with ceiling rain shower along with pedistal sink.

Egg Cups with Smoked Apple Sausage
This dish was handed down to us by my mother who makes it on our family weekend breakfast. It consists of eggs, heavey cream, ham or bacon, and seasoning cooked in a cupcake pan for delicious, fluffy egg baskets. Pair that with our delicious apple smoked sausage and you have a great start to your weekend.
