Gorgeous B&B in a lovely , sophisticated small town. The rooms are large, my bathroom is as big as a studio apartment . The decor is perfect, rooms are spotless. The hostess is wonderful and classy. Could not ask for anything more.

My husband and I went on a last minute getaway near Madison, Wi that wasn't crazy expensive. We found Covington Manor and we are so glad we did. The owner, Carol is one of the sweetest, nicest people you'd ever meet. The house is beautiful!! Its beautifully decorated and makes you feel like you are in Anne of Green Gables. Her flower gardens are gorgeous and so peaceful to walk through. The rooms are cute, clean, and comfortable. Carol made us fantastic breakfasts, crockpot blueberry french toast, bacon, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea one day and quiche lorraine, fruit with a yummy yogurt sauce the next. Needless to say we will be back. Thank you Carol for a wonderful stay!

This B&B is beautiful from the flowered grounds with fairy fountains to the romantic yet stately interior of the home. Our hostess was accommodating but not hovering, and breakfast was delicious. There were lots of things to see and do in the community as well. Highly recommend a visit.

After three nights on our first visit, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to stay again if in the area. No regrets, everything a B&B can do to earn your business, Carol, the Inn Keeper is providing. The Covington Manor is in a quant rural township just 20 minutes from Madison. Best of both worlds. Try it - you'll like it.

I was in Cambridge to attend a family reunion of a helicopter pilot I flew with in Vietnam, 1969. The reunion was at Lake Ripley and Covington Manor is less than a mile away. The house and the grounds were gorgeous; the prototype for what a B&B should be. My room was spotless, comfortable and quiet. In the morning, Carol, the proprietor, arranged breakfast on an outside patio. The morning was warm, the meal hot and delicious. Surprisingly, I was the only resident this day and Carol asked if she could join me for coffee. I was on a tight schedule and intended to eat and run but the conversation with Carol turned out to be so enjoyable, breakfast lasted 2 hours. Carol was as pleasant a person as I have ever met, a great listener, wise and experienced, and we discussed topics from child rearing to politics. When I finally had to leave, we shook hands but I would have hugged her if I thought I'd have gotten away with it. I'd like to think I'd made a new friend. And I was thinking of reasons to return on another day with my wife. Unfortunately, I really don't have a reason to re-visit Cambridge; the reunion was a singular event. On the other hand, perhaps visiting Covington Manor would be sufficient reason in itself. Could happen; it would be worth it.

We loved the feel of the Victorian era B & B. Carol was a great host and we felt like we had gained a friend by the time we left our 3 day stay. We would definitely repeat the experience.

Carol is a wonderful host who makes everyone feel at home, without being intrusive. The Johnson Room was what you would expect in a well-maintained B&B - true to the pictures on the website - with a large private bathroom area. Carol is happy to give guests a tour of her garden. B&B is within 20-30 minutes of Madison and canoeing, and within 5 minutes of Lake Ripley for general beach recreation. Highly recommended.

We were attracted to the Covington Manor for its location near Lake Ripley. The choice was a good one, away from the urban afflictions of the state capital twenty minutes away.

Our Labor Day stay at Covington Manor far exceeded my expectations. We were met by Carol who is a gracious host and very interesting person. Our room was impeccable, interesting and comfortable. Breakfast was a treat, and because my wife has Celiac disease, Carol made her meal with gluten free bread. It was just as tasty as the regular portions. There were three couples at breakfast and we were unknown to each other. Carol joined the group after breakfast and the conversation was so interesting we lingered until almost noon. We've stayed in lots of B & B's and give this one, and the experience, our highest recommendation.

Covington is absolutely gorgeous and I don't think I've ever been in a more clean home...it was spotless. We were warmly greeted by Carol and immediately felt at home. She was just wonderful. I can't say enough about her and this place...it was just phenomenal! Our room was comfortable and we had the windows open and slept like babies. Our breakfast of quiche, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberry movie coffee and juice was just outstanding. We will definitely go back!!

The Covington Manor is an exceptionally well cared for property and you can see why when you meet Carol. She was very welcoming and she offered spot on advice for where to dine and what sights to see. Carol is by far the most accommodating and gracious hostess that we have ever met!

We had a wedding to attend in Cambridge with many activites planned for the weekend. Carol was accomodating to our schedule making breakfast early one day so we could golf with those gathered there. Excellent food with consideration for our diet needs. The rooms are beautifully appointed and it was one of the best bathrooms and showers I have used. The garden setting is quiet despite being on the main street and close to downtown Cambridge. Highly recommended.

Time for a family reunion in Beautiful Cambridge. The Lake house on Lake Ripley could not handle all the brother, sisters and spouses. The well water alone. Solution was for 4 couples to stay a few nights at the Covington Manor. Arrangements were made by the Cambridge Lake Ripley crew with Carol Simon. Wonderful house, antiques and the morning breakfast? Don't be late! Coffee well made and a lot of attention to small details. Don't miss out if you have a chance to stay sometime. The AC worked well and it was 100 outside. Cable & Golf Channel too. Hah! Enjoy this gem, gotta go. A totally wonderful experince.
