Retiring in my mid-50s I wanted to restore an historic property that could become an Inn. The perfect building was found in Alma, Wisconsin on the Mississippi River. You'll fall in love with our historic river town just like I did. How can you go wrong with the Mississippi River, bald eagles and the bluffs and valleys of the Driftless Region of Wisconsin?
"Baby Blue" Buckwheat Mini Pancakes
An "old fashioned" favorite served every Saturday. We use locally ground buckwheat flour and local blueberries to make stacks of this mini pancakes. Combine them with fresh Wisconsin butter and local Wisconsin maple syrup and they're a real treat. We've been known to make 5 batches on a Saturday morning and we only have 6 rooms!
