We arrived late but Kerry and Dave made sure we were able to get into our room. We were surprise to hear the waves and see our room. This was our very first experience in a Bed and Breakfast Inn. From the wonderful hospitality, story telling, and meeting new people each morning made our experience an opportunity we would do again at "The Waters Edge." We stayed in the "Northern Woods," which was perfect for us. The feel of the room and the waves hitting the shoreline made us feel like we were back in HI. If you want to have a wonderful and charming time, Kerry and Dave will make you feel at home, your room will remind you how it feels to be near the shoreline, and all the attractions you can visit around the area during your stay. We plan to revisit them soon again. Thank you Kerry and Dave for your wonderful hospitality.
I am so glad you guys enjoyed your 3 night stay with us.... sometimes I think we forget how really nice it is here, but reviews like your remind us!

A delightful bed and breakfast located just south of the Door County line. My wife and I really enjoyed hearing the Lake Michigan waves as we went to sleep at night. Good breakfast too.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. The waves are really great, especially with a bonfire!!

Very nice place to stay. Loved everything about it. People were so nice. Breakfast could have been a little later.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. As for a later time for breakfast, when we opened up 8 years ago, we served at 8:30am. We survey our guests the entire first year and offered a 8am, 8:30am or 9am breakfast. Over 80% wanted 8am.... and some even earlier. So we went with what our guests told us!

Breakfast was yummy but choices were limited. Hosts were very accommodating, really enjoyed the wild animals and lake view.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay and our breakfast. As for being limited, we serve up to 14 guests every morning, so having a "menu" would be impossible. Our dishes take approx. 1 hour to make, and we have several that we serve. So, if you stay here 2+ nights, you will never get the same breakfast twice. And we always rotate between a sweet dish (apple pankcakes, stuffed blueberry French toast, peach praline) and an egg dish (soufflé, Mexican quiche, country pepper scramble) among others!!

We stayed At the Waters Edge recently and were very happy with our experience! We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before. Experienced beautiful sunrises right on Lake Michigan. Kari makes a delicious breakfast and is so outgoing and personable. We would stay there again!

We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and we were pleasantly surprised. Kari's breakfasts were outstanding! We enjoyed the conversation with the other guests and Kari is doing what she is called to do. A real people person! The view is outstanding. Beautiful sunrise right outside your private entrance door. A great job on decorating the themed rooms. Would highly recommend this place! When we return to the Door County area we will stay there again.

From the moment Kari greeted us when we arrived, she made us feel like good friends she hadn't seen in awhile! She's a genuinely happy person and witty conversationalist. The rooms are nicely detailed and supplied with comforts of home. Sit out on the deck and enjoy the best view of Lake Michigan from only 30 yds away. I'm not lying when I say that you will crave Kari's delicious breakfasts after you leave. We have stayed at several other B&Bs around the Midwest...this is the best!

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed by the hosts, Kari and Dave. They treated us like family! The huge deck and lake views are wonderful, and they have little conversation and relaxing areas that are very cozy. Our room had everything we needed and more, including information about the area and books related to our theme, "Tropical Paradise." We didn't need to use the fireplace even though I wanted to! We liked having a little fridge to keep what we brought cold. I can't forget to mention the food, because it was so delicious! I have never had a cheese souffle or peach praline french toast before, but I hope to again because they were both amazing. And the coffee was great too! Don't pass this place up, it is everything you could want and more! I can't wait to return! A very happy guest :)

Our room is clean and charming with beautiful view of the lake. Breakfast was very tasteful, and Kari is a great host with always nice conversations. The house located south out of the town, very quiet. Ideal place for a getaway weekend!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this outstanding bed and breakfast. Kari was a terrific hostess and her breakfasts were incredible. The new deck outside our room made the sunrise over lake michigan even better. She gave us a tour of all the themed rooms and we could tell the effort that went into every detail. We would highly recommend this experience to those of you who don't want the hassle of door county!!

We stayed At the Water's Edge in August 2009. What a wonderful, relaxing place. Sitting out on the deck with a bottle of wine, watching the sunset, and listing to the waves lap at the shore was so relaxing. We cannot say enough about the great service, the wonderful rooms, and the unbelievable beakfasts. The service in helping us with attractions and suggestions for dinner proved to us that we will return to enjoy the hospitality At the Water's Edge!
