Birthday weeekend

5 on January 15, 2018

We had such a wonderful weekend away celebrating my birthday. I thought one night would be plenty but I wish I'd booked two. What a beautiful place! I can't wait to go back!

Beyond words!

Hard to describe this gorgeous B & B. It is a must stay! I have been to many, and this is best by far!

Perfect romantic getaway

5 on December 27, 2017

We wanted a special night for our 5th Anniversary and we were lucky enough to be able to book the German Suite for the night, with dinner reservations at The Vine. It was Christmastime so the Mansion grounds were full of Christmas lights and it was stunning and very romantic. We could see the snow and lights from our bed. The suite was very large and decorated for the holidays with an elegant German touch. Nutcrackers placed throughout the suite. The Heart shaped jacuzzi tub was so comfortable. They even provided sugar body scrub for us. They thought of everything. All of the little things made a huge difference. This was our 2nd visit to Cameo Heights and we already have reservations for our next visit. We definitely need more than one day there, though. Next time we are staying for 3 days so we can enjoy even more of the Mansion, amenities and grounds.

Great Retreat

5 on December 19, 2017

My wife and I stayed two nights to get away from home on our 40th anniversary. Everything about our stay was excellent. We had a great time with a friendly staff and a very comfortable environment. Hiked in the area, watched movies in the theater and enjoyed some games in the game room. The dinner was our favorite anniversary dinner we could remember. We plan on going back in 4 months. What a gem so close to home.

Tis the Season

5 on December 18, 2017

We surprised two other couples on a weekend get-away for a Christmas gift and we could not be more thrilled! Cameo Heights went out of their way to make us feel incredibly pampered and special. They hand delivered campaign to our guests while they waited in the car for us to check them in and leave gifts in their rooms, they also set up "private dining" for our 7 course dinner. Here's to Chef Nathan!! Every single piece of our dinner was exceptional and exquisite! If you are looking for a place that happens to be close, but will give you that LUXURY VACATION feel and whisk you away to all the ammenities and romance....I could not recommend anywhere else! Cameo Heights, keep it up....you are all doing it right!

Absolutely Amazing Place

We LOVE Cameo Heights Mansion. We can’t say enough good about the service, food, rooms, and people. It is definitely a 5-star hands down!

Can’t wait to stay at Cameo Heights again!

5 on December 02, 2017

Our stay was to celebrate our 44th anniversary. We relaxed, walked the property, visited nearby Walla Walla, explored the mansion, got cozy in front of our room’s fireplace, ate some of the most fabulous food ever! Their extensive wine list and gourmet meals were a treat! We were there in early December and were wowed by the holiday decorations. Every member of the staff was helpful, friendly and super competent. We met the owners and they’re delightful!

Treated like Royalty

5 on October 27, 2017

This is one of the most exquisite places I've been to. They treat you like royalty. Staff makes you feel like family. Josie will greet you with a glass of champagne before checking in, the other staff leave coffee and freshly baked pastries at your door in the morning before a two course breakfast. Then there's the pool and hot tub. To top if off their views are breath taken. Reminds me of Tuscan. Take time to order the 6 course dinner. To die for.

Beautiful Property

5 on October 03, 2017

From the moment we drove up to the place we were in awe. The beauty of the home and the land really is spectacular. When we walked in we were greeted with Champagne and given a complete tour. The rooms were immaculate and the staff so nice. The home is quiet, relaxing, and has a on of activities. We were not there when it was warm enough to swim but were treated to the hot tub which was tucked away and private. I highly recommend a trip here and I have referred many already! Bonus, at breakfast we met the owner who was at the front desk when we were going down for the BEST breakfast I have had. He was so nice and it was really neat to meet the owner/builder. This place was a 5 star for sure!

Oh My Word!

5 on August 11, 2017

We have lived in Walla Walla since 1996 during that time we had seen the mansion when it was empty and indeed heard the wild rumors about the mansion that had been built on a "nest of rattlesnakes!", and had to be abandon! It was fun to read how this rumor started with the sighting of one snake! Needless to say our experience was not one that included snakes but instead we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and Josie and the whole staff were so accommodating and friendly. We had asked for our breakfast in our suite, but at the last minute asked if we could have it down by the pool so we could spend our last couple hours there and they were were so willing to switch it for us. Great place to spend out celebration of 30 years and we will be back again! We would give it 10 stars!

Innkeeper Response
We know the story about the rattlesnake tittle-tattle, actually it was more than that. It was an urban legend that the Mansion was abandoned due to exorbitant pressure from persistent rattlesnakes. But to people who repeated these tales, they were not rumors, but facts. The seemingly incredibe myths were enriched over the next 10 years to include the account of a Australian outback named Crocodile Dundy being hired to fly in from Australia and clean it our of the varmints. Sadly, according to the legend, he found that not even he could extricate the rattlers from their chosen location. I am not making this up. As each person shared the gossip and added their two bits, line by line, with a little here and a little there, each adding just a bit of enhancement--it all made into quite a story. When we resumed construction 10 years later, it caused a local sensation and the Walla Walla bulletin immediately sent a reporter to investigate. His first question: "How did you get rid of the rattle snake?" When the story hit the press, people were visibly disturbed and incredulous. They were sure there was no way the tales could have been made up. Afterall, they had heard it with their own ears from very credible sources. But by now, you know that some of the stuff people saying now about the Mansion really IS true. It is a terrific getaway to find romance, relaxation, and rejuvination. We hope you will journery our way back again soon!
