Beautiful Property

5 on October 03, 2017

From the moment we drove up to the place we were in awe. The beauty of the home and the land really is spectacular. When we walked in we were greeted with Champagne and given a complete tour. The rooms were immaculate and the staff so nice. The home is quiet, relaxing, and has a on of activities. We were not there when it was warm enough to swim but were treated to the hot tub which was tucked away and private. I highly recommend a trip here and I have referred many already! Bonus, at breakfast we met the owner who was at the front desk when we were going down for the BEST breakfast I have had. He was so nice and it was really neat to meet the owner/builder. This place was a 5 star for sure!

Oh My Word!

5 on August 11, 2017

We have lived in Walla Walla since 1996 during that time we had seen the mansion when it was empty and indeed heard the wild rumors about the mansion that had been built on a "nest of rattlesnakes!", and had to be abandon! It was fun to read how this rumor started with the sighting of one snake! Needless to say our experience was not one that included snakes but instead we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and Josie and the whole staff were so accommodating and friendly. We had asked for our breakfast in our suite, but at the last minute asked if we could have it down by the pool so we could spend our last couple hours there and they were were so willing to switch it for us. Great place to spend out celebration of 30 years and we will be back again! We would give it 10 stars!

Innkeeper Response
We know the story about the rattlesnake tittle-tattle, actually it was more than that. It was an urban legend that the Mansion was abandoned due to exorbitant pressure from persistent rattlesnakes. But to people who repeated these tales, they were not rumors, but facts. The seemingly incredibe myths were enriched over the next 10 years to include the account of a Australian outback named Crocodile Dundy being hired to fly in from Australia and clean it our of the varmints. Sadly, according to the legend, he found that not even he could extricate the rattlers from their chosen location. I am not making this up. As each person shared the gossip and added their two bits, line by line, with a little here and a little there, each adding just a bit of enhancement--it all made into quite a story. When we resumed construction 10 years later, it caused a local sensation and the Walla Walla bulletin immediately sent a reporter to investigate. His first question: "How did you get rid of the rattle snake?" When the story hit the press, people were visibly disturbed and incredulous. They were sure there was no way the tales could have been made up. Afterall, they had heard it with their own ears from very credible sources. But by now, you know that some of the stuff people saying now about the Mansion really IS true. It is a terrific getaway to find romance, relaxation, and rejuvination. We hope you will journery our way back again soon!

Incredible Experience in Every Way

5 on July 15, 2017

Words can't adequately express how amazing our stay at Cameo Heights was. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty from our warm welcome to our glorious room and everything in-between. Each morning we were gently awakened by warm danish and choice of beverage. Then, on to a 5 star breakfast on the patio overlooking the spectacular grounds. The rest of the day included many activities on site which may include simply laying out by the pool in a tranquil, beautiful setting. The mansion staff couldn't have been more accommodating and lovely, and the mansion's restaurant, The Vine, is not to be missed. The mansion is conveniently located to activities we partook in such as horseback riding and jet skiing, and of course, wine tasting. Treat yourself at least once to this spectacular place. You won't be sorry.

Innkeeper Response
We are so excited to get this review. For some reasons, we have had no reviews for several months on this BedandBreakfast directory. And what a nice review it was. It certainly well worth waiting for! Though we don't know who you are or where you hail from, we certainly hope our paths cross again when you plan another trip to the Mansion. Until then...

Definitely a 5 -Star Experience

5 on October 31, 2016

My new wife and I booked a wedding here and a two night stay. We booked the Spanish suite and elected to have Cameo do the wedding planning and arrangements. The place is immaculate with countless details. Every little amenity has been hand-picked by the owners and we were so surprised to experience such personal and luxurious service. The food was like nothing we had ever tasted. Chef Nathan cooked us a 7 course meal, and explained every plate he brought out. They did our wedding cake which was nothing short of incredible and the rooms are nicely appointed with such detail and luxury. We had a fireplace next to our enormous jetted tub. The beds are huge and comfy. We had private massages in our room and even had breakfast delivered. It definitely commands a premium price but I think you will see it's worth every penny. They have amazing staff and everything is of the highest quality. You might save a buck at a hotel but once you experience Cameo, you won't want to leave. One of our favorite things was their handmade soap, hair care products, and lotion. I'm not sure what the secret is, but my wife says there is nothing like it. I even bought a bottle from the gift shop for her to take home. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to book another stay for our first anniversary next year. Oh, and they were ready to go the extra mile because we had an outside company provide the officiant because one of the owners who usually officiated had surgery. When it came to the last minute and still no officiant, she was ready to jump in to make sure we would have our wedding. The officiant did end up showing but it was such an amazing gesture to know that they were ready to make it happen, no matter what. My wife and I have repeatedly told each other how glad we are for going this route. It allowed us to relax and enjoy our special moments while Cameo took care of all the details. It felt like we were guests in our friend's home, very personal and very comfortable.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your sweet review. We are so grateful for every great guest experience. It looks like we will see you next year on your anniversary. Until then...

Outstanding just isn't enough

5 on October 23, 2016

We were only able to stay here one night because of other things going on with our schedule. But I can only hope we will be able to come back again for a longer stay. The B&B is everything you think it is going to be and more. The accommodations are superb, they have thought of everything and then more. The food is great make sure to have dinner there. Each morning if you would like you are awakened with a knock on your door and a fresh pastry and beverage is delivered to tide you over until you have breakfast. But I would be remiss not to mention your host and hostess. What a wonderful couple eager to take care of your every wish without hovering over you. Thanks again for a wonderful short but outstanding stay

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to post your flattering review. We try hard for every guest to have your kind of experience.

The ratings speak for themselves (can't rate the dining as we did not dine onsite). This was without a doubt the best B&B we've ever stayed at.! We've already decided on when we'll return and even extend our stay to include some golf and wine tours. The staff are simply first rate.

Innkeeper Response
Those are strong words about being the best. Frankly we don't necessarily work at competing with other B&Bs directly, we just try to be the best we can be.

Another wonderful stay at Cameo Heights

5 on October 12, 2016

We have stayed at Cameo Heights twice now, and will be staying again in early December. Beautiful setting; the rooms are amazing and its so nice to be able to dine at the Vine without having to drive. Dinner was wonderful as was breakfast. A movie room, and a pool. Who could ask for more? Highly recommend it!

Innkeeper Response
Our isolated location makes on-site dining very attractive. Fortunately we have the best chef this side of Dodge. So guests not only don't want to go anywhere else but guests staying at other places in town, for whatever reason, are often driving to The Vine at Cameo Heights Mansion just for dinner.

Another incredible staycation at Cameo Heights Mansion

5 on August 30, 2016

We are so lucky to live a short drive away. The rooms are beautiful! We still haven't gotten to stay in the Spanish room, but someday we will! The service is splendid! I loved making s'mores! The hot tub is relaxing! The view is unbelievably stunning! The innkeepers are wonderful! My advice: arrive at check in, stay until checkout, and stay at least two nights :)

Innkeeper Response
Good advice.

You won't be dissapointed!

5 on August 29, 2016

They have thought of everything to make your experience the most relaxing, romantic and memorable experience you will ever have. It is a stunning mansion and the views, food and ambiance are unlike anything else I have experienced visiting a bed and breakfast. You won't be disappointed!

Innkeeper Response
Through guest evaluations that we invite, it is you, the guests, who have told us everything to make your experience most memorable. We just listen well.

Romantic and relaxing

Loved our stay at Cameo Heights, was our first time at a bed and breakfast and Cameo definitely exceeded our expectations! Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Vine as well. Can't wait to go back someday! If you're looking for a romantic getaway or just want to relax this is the place for you!

Innkeeper Response
Rest, relaxation, great food, with a splatter of romance. Can't beat it.
