Very generous accommodation with use of the lounge, garden and hot tub. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Jill and David were standing in whilst owners were away. They did a terrific job, informing us on places to visit, transport, eating out, etc. We had an early excursion so we were given a breakfast box to take with us. We had a great stay, thank you. Margaret and Guy.

My mother and I stayed with Linda and Tom for two nights during a quick visit to Seattle. We had our own rooms and a very comfy and inviting living space to hang out together. Breakfast both mornings was fabulous! Thanks to Linda's knowledge of the Seattle public transportation (clean and convenient trains and monorail) and her preparation (she has pre-printed handouts to assist with sightseeing) we were able to fit in Pike Market, the Giant Wheel, the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden in one day with only a short drive to and from the LINK station. She and Tom are warm, engaging hosts who spend just the right amount of time with their guests. I would highly recommend staying with them if you are lucky enough to find a vacancy!

We stayed here as a family with two kids, 11 and 13. Great hosts, perfect breakfast, everything is like it should be or even better. More than enough space, which was great. Location is about 10min from the airport - but no plane noise. Into the city it takes about 20min by car. Beautiful garden, we even saw hummingbirds. We will gladly return when getting back!

Linda and Tom's Guesthouse is a wonderful oasis to begin and end hectic days visiting Seattle. Mornings begin with delicious and artful breakfast amidst their beautiful home and spectacular gardens. Amidst those gardens is a lovely hot tub that adds to the de-stressing. It is peaceful. Linda and Tom have elevated inn keeping to an art form and have mastered the balance of helpfulness with discretion.

Being our first time staying at a B&B I didn't know what really to expect. It was a great stay and we were well taken care of ! They've set the bar high for others to live up to now.

As this was my first BnB experience, I relied upon my friends comparison. She said over and over again how well I'd done in choosing. She also said that it is the best Bed and Breakfast she had the pleasure of going to, and that I would be hard pressed to find better! I wholeheartedly believe her!! Tom and Linda were exceptional in welcoming, and making us feel like we "belonged". Thank you for that!

Linda and Tom went above and beyond any expectation I may have had, to make special my daughters late night arrival from NYC on her 30th birthday! They allowed me to decorate, but when we arrived from Sea Tac they improved upon my decor and added an amazing cake! Breakfast was not your normal B&B quick meal. This was a gourmet delight, beautifully prepared and happily consumed. Durn good for a "regular" house in a residential neighborhood on a busy road near a major airport, The Guest House is one of the best. Comfy linens. Personalized service. Excellent food. Nice people. Good hot tub. What else could there be? Thank you

The Guest House Bed and Breakfast provides a delightful experience.. The owners/hosts are the greatest. They are very knowledgeable and prepare an excellent breakfast.

Linda and Tom graciously allowed me to stay at their B&B while I was overseeing some night construction work in Burien. Linda made me a great breakfast when I arrived after my night shift, and I was very comfortable sleeping in a quiet bedroom with a great bed. I had a very good stay, and appreciated Linda's and Tom's hospitality. I would highly recommend their B&B as a very comfortable alternative to an airport-area hotel.

We stayed here while traveling and shopping with another couple. We found Linda and Tom very knowledgeable about the area, as well as wonderful hosts. They recommended great places to eat, when we were not enjoying the delicious breakfasts they made. Breakfast was always beautifully prepared and tasty. I must add my husband used to cook professionally and commented numerous times on how excellent the breakfast and evening treats were! It was a delight to come home to this beautiful B & B and relax in the back yard. The back yard is an oasis in a quiet and safe neighborhood in Seattle. We had a room on the front of the house, but did not find road noise to be any issue, as I am a light sleeper and did not wake once. I must add the couple we travelled with found the bedrooms as comfortable as we did. They liked the place as must as we did. I would highly recommend checking this lovely little gem out. I am sure you will not regret it. We hope to go again this year! Thank you Linda and Tom for making such a lovely space for us to visit and rest. Sharon

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved everything about our stay. Our hosts, Tom & Linda, were such a joy to just sit and chat with. We felt like we made new friends and will definately try to stay here again when we are in the area. Their team work in the kitchen to provide us a breakfast fit for a King and Queen was a joy to watch and very yummy. Linda gave us the recipe for her delicious Dutch Babies and I've already made them for our granddaughters. Score one for Grandma! Thanks Linda. Our breakfast meals were so big & wonderful they lasted us through lunch!! Linda took great care to check our likes, dislikes, allergies, requests, etc. Our bed was extremely comfortable with crisp ironed sheets, bathrobes in the closet, chocolates for a treat and so much more. We never used the second bedroom but it too was gorgeous. The bathroom had everything we needed and was immaculately cleaned every day. The livingroom with it's TV, stereo, DVD, everything to make you feel at home. They even placed a basket of umbrellas next to the front door in case we needed one. Which of course we did in beautiful Seattle :) Linda was very helpful in leading us to parking locations, must see attractions or anything else we might need. Mike & I will be visiting our new friends again for sure. As my title states, Linda and Tom have made this so much more than just a Bed & Breakfast. They made sure we felt at home. We thank you so much for making our short stay so great. I even think Tom gave my husband an idea for a fun part time job!!! Thanks Tom :) We will come visit again soon, Robbi & Mike

We are a family of two adults and one child. We stayed at the Guest House bed and breakfast (www.guesthousebnb.com) in Burien (south Seattle) for five nights prior to an Alaska cruise this past August and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Minutes from the airport and the light rail train station by car, taxi or bus, a twenty to thirty minute train ride into downtown Seattle, Guest House B and B is an ideal place for visitors to the Seattle-Tacoma area to enjoy some r. and r. after a day of touring, exploring or doing whatever it is you have come to Seattle to do. Lovingly tended gardens and a carefully maintained hot tub and deck provide a magically comforting and calming balm to weary muscles, feet and spirits. Guest House B and B provides a quiet, private, self contained suite with two bedrooms, each with its own beautifully coordinated colours, character and queen sized bed, a full bathroom, use of a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, a comfy sitting room with TV, VCR, radio and a collection of books and games- completely separate from the living space of hosts, Tom and Linda Dike. We wakened every morning to the earthy, seductive aroma of freshly ground coffee and a gourmet breakfast where a simple white plate becomes the canvass for an exquisitely presented piece of art; a symphony of colour and flavour. Attention to detail begins with starched and ironed bed sheets and immaculately clean living space and continues throughout your stay with fresh towels and bathrobes for the hot tub and cookies or cake left each evening for guests to enjoy. Tom and Linda are very respectful of the privacy of guests yet incredibly helpful, providing much information about sites and transportation in the Seattle area prior to and during your stay. The next time we go to Seattle, we know exactly where we will stay.

Linda and Tom are fantastic innkeepers. The house is immaculate and very well kept. The breakfasts are fantastic and she goes out of her way to give you little touches like flowers on your plate. The yard is manicured perfectly and the flowers are so beautiful, the pix on internet do not do the gardens justice. It was a perfect and relaxing ending to our 2 week washington vacation and 7 minutes to airport. It was a great value to have two bedrooms a bathroom and living room to yourself, and a whole yard including a hot tub.

We just left The Guest House a few days ago and I'm already scheming how I can get back to Seattle for another get-away. Loved Linda and Tom's gourmet breakfasts and their attention to detail in every aspect of our stay. My favorites: homemade meals with fresh-from-their-garden fruits & herbs (strawberries, basil, etc.); the hot tub, their beautiful garden, all the wonderful referrals to local restaurants and ferry rides, the oatmeal cranberry cookies, and the nights of restful sleep on their queen-sized bed. This B&B was perfect for us in terms of location, price, amenities, and most of all, Linda and Tom's fantastic breakfasts. What a find!

My wife and I chose this B&B largely for the 1st floor accommodation for my mom. What we found was a gem of a B&B. Linda and Tom have put a lot of love over the years in this B&B, and it shines through the lovely rooms, the showcase gardens, the lovely jacuzzi, their breakfasts, and of course their graciousness as hosts. Tom & Linda's Breakfast were the best we've had for a B&B - and that's saying quite a lot. Breakfast is our family's favorite meal - ever. We were treated with Souffles, quiches, an abundance of Fresh fruit, with strawberries from their garden, not to mention the AWESOME homemade strawberry jam. Homemade scones were offered with breakfasts and homemade Cookies were made in the afternoon. Yum! BTW, Our vacations are based around savoring local regional foods, especially breakfasts, and having a home-cooked one started out our leisurely days perfectly. We all agreed that Linda and Tom's breakfasts were one of the surprising highlights of our Washington/Oregon trip. Don't forget to bring a bathing suit for the Jacuzzi - it doesn't matter what the weather is like, the jacuzzi is a very very nice addition after a full day of running around the city, or going fly fishing. We also loved that we were the only guests as the B&B caters to one family at a time. No loud families, or other kids running around us. Tom and Linda were also great about providing maps and directions to places, AND had great local restaurant recommendations. We went to Anthony's Homeport in nearby Des Moines, and were treated to a fabulous Hawaiian-inspired poke salmon appetizer for free thanks to Linda making the reservations for us. Tom and Linda are some the most gracious hosts that we have experienced in our B&B experience - good people. We will definitely be back.

Each evening the operators of the Guest House asked us what time we would like breakfast to be served in the morning. The first morning they served French toast with a hint of cardamom and orange zest, accompanied by fresh fruit, banana bread, bacon, and juices and tea. The second morning they served a green chili quiche with fruit, banana bread, and bran muffins. The third morning apple-oatmeal waffles with a delicious carmel syrup, chunky apple sauce, a kielbasa-type sausage, and banana bread. (They also offered dry cereals for our two children under age 4 and had whole milk on hand for them to drink.) The final morning we had to leave very early in the morning and they prepared a box breakfast with yogurt, grapes, granola bars, and blueberry muffins. The quality of the food and dining surroundings was top notch. The accommodations included two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and one with a full bed. There was also a nice living area with a TV and a few books and toys for the children. And in the kitchen there was a shelf in the fridge reserved for guests, 24 access to tea, coffee, and juices, and fresh baked cookies in the afternoons and evenings. The backyard is beautifully landscaped with a hot tub for guest use. There was also a single parking space in the front of the house for guests. This was our first stay in a bed and breakfast and we would HIGHLY recommend The Guest House to everyone considering staying in a BNB.

We have had the privilege of visiting The Guest House for almost eight years. From the moment you speak with Linda & Tom Dike about your reservations to the moment you say farewell, you are part of the most beautiful sanctuary imaginable. Their welcome is immediate and genuine; the comfort of the private suite is far more than you can anticipate; the beauty of the grounds is a Garden of Eden; the breakfasts and snacks are sumptuous, abundant and lovingly prepared! Because of Linda and Tom's true gift of hospitality, we now have dear friends in Seattle and a place to call home. Add the convenience of being within sight of SeaTac International Airport and you might call The Guest House a little bit of heaven! -Mark & Doris Cannaday, Midland, TX

If you love gardens and good food you are in for a treat! Hosts Tom & Linda have paid attention to every detail and ensure you will want for nothing. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the beautiful gardens, superb breakfasts and cleanliness of the guest house made our stay one to remember. Photos and descriptions do not do justice. We'll be back!

Less than 10 minutes from the airport. Off-street parking. Wonderful, inviting accommodations. Very charming hosts. The Breakfasts are to die for! My daughter has stayed at many B&B's and agrees that Tom and Linda's breakfasts are the best in food selection, presentation and taste. We'll be back!
