Our daughter sent us to Woodstock for four days. The Jackson House Inn was unbelievable. Matt and Chris were so friendly and attentive. The breakfast was superb. Every morning was a three course breakfast. Our room was spacious and clean. There were soft drinks and coffee available all day. Would go back in a flash. A delightful stay. Thanks Matt and Chris

Just celebrated our early 25th wedding anniversary. Matthew & Chris’s hospitality was off the chart!! The breakfasts were superb, the grounds and rooms were immaculate. Got to feed the rainbow trout and even saw a deer. If you have never stayed at a B&B before the Jackson House Inn is a MUST! And if you have been to one this will top it! My wife and I are already planning a return trip.

We had booked a trip to see upstate New York and Vermont and just did not know we needed more time. We stayed each night in a different Bed and Breakfast, each unique in it's own way. The Jackson House is like going to an estate. you arrive and you will be guided though the home. The inn keepers show their love of the home and greet each guest. We had a glass of wine in the garden which is quite large, and end at a small pond. The front deck has chairs, the back yard has chairs , fresh herbs used for breakfast are grown on site. And their is pride in the presentation of the meal. Your stay will be unique. We had a downstairs room with access to the exterior from the room. I will not say it was large in fact it was cozy But it worked for us. The ground make up for the room size. Dining for breakfast is in large common area with a great view of the garden, The hosts, suggest places to eat in town. I do want to return to spend more time just to enjoy the inn.

Had a great stay at Jackson House Inn, Woodstock, VT. Kathy and Rick are the best Innkeepers. Fabulous breakfast creations every morning in a great Green Mountain setting. Could not be improved. We loved the fireplaces, antiques, cozy bar, and hot coffee every morning early right outside the door. Highly recommended!
We thank you so very much for such kind words. The setting is one we love to share with guests along with the wonderful food products of the area. Warm and cozy are the goals at this time of year - glad you enjoyed! Hope to see you again in the future.

The owners Kathy and Rick were extremely helpful and informative. The Inn was not crowded when we arrived so we were immediately upgraded to a larger room with a sitting area and a fireplace. The highlight of each day was the very creative and tasty breakfast consisting of locally sourced fresh ingredients gathered the previous day by Rick. Rick is also the cook (he prefers cook to chef) and each breakfast is served with an enthusiastic and heartfelt presentation of the food. A great place…we can’t wait to go back!
We truly appreciate your taking the time to share your Jackson House Inn experience with others. It was our pleasure to offer you a larger space with warmth and a view since winter continues to make its mark. Rick particularly thanks you for the kind words about your breakfast experience. We can't wait to see you again!

The Jackson House Inn is by far the best bed and breakfast we've ever visited. Imagine a renovated colonial mansion with a small town country feel. Upon stepping into the house, you are greeted by impeccable cleanliness and thoughtful styling.Kathy will greet you and make you comfortable immediately. The rooms all have their own charm. We stayed at the Nicholas which was very spacious. It had it's own fireplace, balcony, TV (not that we watched), and the fluffiest most comfortable bed and sheets you'll ever experience. Now, onto breakfast. Where to begin.....Rick prepares a two course feast better than most 5 star hotels and $$$$ restaurants. He uses all ingredients from local farms and adds his own twists. Every dish was impeccably prepared with complex flavors building on each other. You will not find a better breakfast on this coast. Last but not least, we forgot our jackets in the closet. We emailed Kathy about them and she promptly mailed them to us via USPS priority mail. This highlights how friendly and special Kathy and Rick are as people. I will certainly be back in the future.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. It was our pleasure to have both of you with us. We're happy you found warmth, comfort, service and, very importantly, delicious breakfast to begin your days. Also, we were happy to have found and returned your jackets since winter seems to be continuing to make its statement this year. We look forward to seeing you again.

Regular visits to many inns throughout the country and trips to Central Vermont led us to choose Woodstock as home. Passions for gardening, history and food created the foundation for a new chapter in the history of The Jackson House Inn. It is a true joy to cross paths with so many people from all corners of the nation and the globe!
