Nice hospitability . Room disapointing

3.6 on June 06, 2017

We orderd the small room for 2 nights and realized that we made a mistake. The room and the bathroom were really tiny and can suit 2 small children but not for a couple with 3 suitcases. After I told Tom about it he offered me to upgrade to a larger room for additional payment. The new room was biger and more satisfactory from the size point of view. The beds in both rooms are very soft and were a little sqeeky. We also heard other residents walking in the house which disturbed us a little. The house surrondings and public areas are beautiful. Lots of books and down stair, videos to view. There is a lovely view and garden. Tea and coffee are available in the dining area Breakfast was sufficient and Tom provided us with a vegeterian dish. Good coffee.

Perfect B&B!

We had a great weekend at the Timberholm! Tom and Susan make sure all guest needs/requests are met, and the breakfast is delicious. I cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Timberholm--highly recommend!

Can't Praise Timberholm Enough

I'm actually torn about writing a review. While my boyfriend and I had a fantastic visit, I don't necessarily want to tell the whole world and spoil this wonderful, secret find! The inn is cozy, charming and warm, the innkeepers are wonderful hosts, and breakfast could not have been more satisfying and delicious. We stayed in a compact room since we were only in Stowe for one night. As their room description discloses, it was a tiny space- but it was perfect for our short stay. If we were staying longer (which we will in the future) we would recommend getting a larger room.

Excellent stay

The great backyard views of the woods are only matched by the homey feeling in the living room. I thoroughly enjoyed it in the summer, and I plan to come back in the winter! Breakfast was great in the company of Sophie (the canine innkeeper).

Return to Timberholm after 60 years!

5 on August 06, 2015

My sons and a friend and I just spent 2 wonderful nights at Timberholm, which my parents designed and built in 1949. We left in July of 1954. Tom and Susan made the entire experience, from online room choices and confirmation, so easy! How they arranged for such beautiful weather is a mystery but it was so gorgeous that they must have! I can’t say enough about the fantastic rooms, beds, views and, of course, truly fabulous breakfasts. It is my pleasure to highly recommend Timberholm for a true Stowe, Vermont, vacation experience. I spent one night with two kids. Tom was just great, as well as the rooms, the garden and the breakfast. I highly recommend Timberhom, you will thank me later....

Fantastic getaway!

We had the privilege of staying at The Timberholm Inn for a one night getaway this past week. What a lovely place! The property and indoor space is delightful. The great room is cozy and comfortable and Tom and Susan are incredible hosts. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the inn itself is just off the beaten path so there is no street noise or issues with traffic. The breakfast was utterly outstanding! We will be back and for a longer stay next time.

Terrific Timberholm

Wonderful location for this mountain hideaway! Glorious views and peaceful setting. Fabulous breakfast and lounge area with huge picture windows. Helpful and generous host Tom who cooks delicious breakfasts with hot dishes, home made muffins etc. Our suite (2) was spacious and very comfortable - many thanks for the surprise upgrade Tom! Great info given about local attractions and restaurants and we enjoyed a couple of games of shuffle-board in the downstairs den. This had free water in the fridge + snacks and soda for sale. One of our favourite stop-overs on our 3 week New England tour.

Stowe Wedding

We traveled to Stowe for a wedding; so looked for a B&B for a couple of nights. The Timberholm Inn was an excellent place to stay: Great innkeeper, good room, wonderful breakfasts. The view from the deck is what's on their website -- valley with mountains across the way. And Tom even figured out a plug-in for my car!
