The B&B has everything you would expect, quiet, understated elegant, inviting. I stayed in the Garden Room, tastefully furnished, lots of light, pristine clean. The owners,, Gary & Wendy went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Breakfast was great. This B&B is within walking distance to the Inn at Little Washington restaurant, where I took dinner. A perfect experience all around. And, yes, I will be back.

We were so happy we chose the Gay Street Inn for my 40th birthday celebration. They were perfect walking distance to the Inn at Little Washington for dinner. Gary and Wendy were lovely hosts. They were helpful and provided us all the information we requested, but were never too intrusive. And the breakfast the next morning was just so delicious -- there was just so much to eat, I wish I wasn't still full from dinner the night before! I would definitely recommend the Gay Street Inn to others, and I hope we have the opportunity to stay there again.

What an incredible find! We had family visiting so we took drive to Washington, VA where we were having dinner locally & needed to reserve a pet friendly room. This Inn has one dog friendly room that is delightful! The Inn is fresh and modern with a colonial feel-beautifully appointed! Clean as could be, lovely yard, delightful house & outstanding breakfast. Stuffed French toast, fresh muffins & pears w/raspberries- even the coffee was good!
