Stone Manor near Lovettsville, Virginia, is a perfect place to get away from bad city air and traffic without having to spend a lot of time getting there. Nestled in northwest Virginia, Stone Manor is centrally located for sampling the best the area has to offer. If your preference is fine craft brews, the new beer mecca of Purcellville is just to the south. If wine is your choice, numerous wineries are close by. Or, if you just want to stay put, the phenomenal breakfast hosts Beth and Spencer start you out with will last most of the day. Speaking of breakfast, it is served family-style in the grand dining room and gives guests a chance to get to know each other. If you hang around the property and do find yourself hungry, Spencer usually leaves scones in the kitchen, and Beth whips up a great fruit and cheese tray. As for our room, we splurged on the Manor Suite, which was spacious and comfortable with homemade soaps and bath salts, and the double shower with multiple shower heads was amazing. We highly recommend Stone Manor, whether for a special occasion or just a needed respite from hectic living.

This is a nice, quiet country stay, and only about 20 minutes from Leesburg and all the commercial conveniences you would ever want. The highlight of the stay for us was the breakfasts. They were wonderful.

My fiance and I stayed overnight at this phenomenal B & B...very impressed and most pleased with the first class amenities, gorgeous furnishings, and idyllic, country setting. Even more importantly, the innkeepers, Beth and Spencer, are warm, welcoming, and gracious; immediately making you feel 'at home'!!! Delicious food, prepared with love and a special treat of hearing Spencer's beautiful singing started our day :-))) We're very much looking forward to celebrating our wedding at Stone Manor in late summer. Very highly recommended!!!! A+++++++

Warm and welcoming, certainly more of a country inn than a traditonal b&b...Spencer and Beth were incredibly warm and personal and really made us (and all the guests) feel as if we were part of the inn, not just guests--very comfortable to just relax, have the run of the house (and the scones), and our room was charming, unique, comfortable and spacious--Y'all have to go! My husband and I stayed at Stone Manor for just one night after visiting friends in the area, and we wished we could have stayed a few more days. Spencer and Beth are lovely people. They were so warm and welcoming, and it's clear from the minute you walk in the door that Stone Manor is a real labor of love for them. We stayed in the Turret Room. The bed was so comfortable, and the spa-like bathroom was divine. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, we especially loved the white chocolate pancakes. With the attention paid to every detail--from the directions Spencer printed for us to his recommended dinner spots to the soaps Beth made for us to use and take home--we left Stone Manor feeling nurtured, relaxed, and refreshed. We can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

This suite has large old fashioned pocket doors, one to enter the suite and one that separates the bedroom from the private bathroom. The private bathroom is a spacious 12′ by 11′ with a combination tub and shower.
The Red Garden is in the original part of the Manor House on the lower level of the Turret. The two-foot thick curved Stone Walls of the Turret and the deep set windows provide a nostalgic romance to the room. Both the wooden floors and the paneled ceilings provide warmth and charm. It has a queen-size bed and flat-screen TV. The private bath includes the exposed, low wooden ceiling beams and original stone. The private bath has a low-ceiling in the water closet area, a shower, and pedastal porcelain sink.
The Blue Delft Suite is in the original part of the Manor, overlooking the raised organic gardens. It is surrounded by two-foot thick stone walls and large windows. It has a large, custom built cherry closet door with mirrors. The window treatments, queen sized bed and bed curtains are all a combination of the blue delft, blue and white pattern. The Peacock Suite is a spacious suite with a King-size bed, fireplace and flat-screen TV. It's bedroom and bathing suite are appointed with a breathtaking French neoclassical suite of furniture that was originally located in a castle in the Tuscany area of Italy. In addition to a spacious built-in closet, there is a 7′ long barrel-front burled English walnut armoire with three closet doors. The king sized bed is part of the neoclassical suite, with columns of inlaid satinwood and carved mahogany leaves. Across from the bed, in between the two windows is a comfortable and beautifully carved victorian sofa. A small stained glass peacock fountain is attached to the wall and a pair of French doors lead to a private balcony from the Peacock Suite that overlooks the dining hall. The bathing suite of the peacock wing includes a sumptuous two person shower with tile benches and ten adjustable water sprays. The Peacock bathing suite also has a raised two person Jacuzzi.
The Manor Suite is a 1200 square foot suite. With its vaulted cathedral ceiling, living room, dining area, private kitchen, and hand carved four-post Queen canopy bed, the Manor Suite is a vision of opulence and luxury. It also has a large private balcony overlooking the southern meadow which provides a perfect escape to enjoy the morning coffee or a quiet evening with a glass of wine watching the stars. The armoire, dressing tables and bureaus from a castle in Tuscany envelope you in romance and sumptuousness. The attached 17 x 22 foot private bathing suite is breathtaking. The tiled floors are covered in a Turkish hand-woven carpet and sheepskin rug in front of the large Jacuzzi as well as at the base of the two-person, 10 spray shower (which has benches and beautiful custom tile work). A Duncan Phyfe couch, covered in brocade is provided for lounging and is across the room from the dual sinks that have been encased in an antique bureau. The water closet has a bidet and toilet.
The Turret Suite has curved walls and stained glass windows that overlook the east, southeast, south and southwest. It has a queen-size bed and a flat screen TV. The bathing suite of the Turret rooms have heated white marble floors, and white marble wainscoting with copper and grey veins that highlight the rich colors of the stone walls, and copper hand beaten sinks. The two person shower is equipped with benches and ten adjustable sprays. The raised, two person Jacuzzi is also surrounded in white marble and has a European faucet that memorizes and delivers your personal water temperature preferences.
The Silver Maple Suite is a second floor suite with a king-size bed and a jetted tub. The bath room has stone walls which were part of the original manor. The view from the Silver Maple Suite overlook the fruit trees and gardens and the 100 year old Silver Maple tree which provides the name for the suite. The suite has an interior balcony which overlooks the grand dining hall. This suite has nine foot high ceilings and customized moldings. The suite also has a dedicated hot water heater which is not shared with any of the other suites at Stone Manor. The suite is accessed via a SPIRAL STAIRCASE. For families traveling together, there is a double lock out door to the Turret Suite which can be opened to allow for adjoining suites.
