We couldn't have been more pleased with Peace Hill. It was a true pampered bed and breakfast experience. Every need was thought of. The Hosts are wonderful people. A definite do again.

Husband and I went for 2 nights to celebrate anniversary. Weather didn't cooperate for bike riding but the Inn was great. Chikahominy Suite was very relaxing and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Gift of muffins for the road was a nice suprise. Enjoyed having so much space to walk around in with out having to get in car.

We booked the Chickahominy Suite for five days in August for our family. Sleeping accommodations were perfect, slept great in the peace and quiet of the country. Breakfasts were amazing! My daughter and I are vegan (hubby is not) and Tanya went "above and beyond" with her amazing creations. I've stayed at Vegan B&B's and the food at Peace Hill is just as good, creative and fresh. We used Peace Hill as home base as we explored history in Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Plantations. We enjoyed the use of the Common Areas to relax in the evenings and get caught up on Olympic actions. Mike and Tanya are wonderful hosts.

Our family of 8 - 6 kids, ages 11 and under plus 2 adults - stayed at the brand new Henhouse. We loved it, the innkeepers were so helpful, friendly, and all around wonderful hosts. The food was fantastic, they easily accommodated our gluten free diet. Everything was clean, the Henhouse was well stocked with games, basic kitchen supplies, books, etc. We will definitely be back!

We had a good stay! We were going to pass on having breakfast but once we smelled the aroma of fresh eggs, bacon and homemade biscuits we could not pass it up. The breakfast was great and Mike & Tanya's easy company made it even more enjoyable. We highly recommend staying here! Oh almost forgot...Tanya's bag of cookies to go were the best!!!!

My friends and I decided to try The B&B at Peace Hill for a "Girlfriend Getaway in Williamsburg". We wanted to visit the nearby winery and Antique Mall, so this was the perfect end to our day. Relaxing, peaceful, great food and hosts! We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to put this hidden treasure on our future getaway list.

We loved our stay at Peace Hill. It has country feel, yet with lots of amenities. We stayed in the Holdcroft Room, which is ideal for a couple looking for a getaway. The hosts, Mike and Tanya, were very warm and hospitable--getting to know them enhanced the experience. The proximity to the "Historic Triangle" of Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown was a plus. I wish we had booked a second night.

Life at a slower pace was desired and received on our stay at Peace Hill. Having the place to ourselves was an extra benefit, only adding to the need for a night away from life. The surrounding countryside covered in snow added to the serenity of the place. Our evening supper and breakfast were very good with homemade biscuits and jelly. Thank you for a great stay.

We have had a very good experience at the Peacehill B&B. The room was confortable and extremely clean. The King bed was fabulous. The breakfasts were delicious and it was with anticipation that we arrived in the breakfast room as they were different everyday! Tanya and Mike were extremely good hosts discussing with us the region and nearby attractions. The place was very peaceful. We’ll make sure to come back. Dominique and Marc

This area has always been a respite for me...if you haven't found your way out here yet, do yourself a favor! The inn is absolutely beautiful and Tanya and Mike are the most wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond in every way. Your stay (and your meals!) will be amazing!

Tanya and Mike were exceptional host. We stayed at the cottage and it was more than we could have asked for. The food was excellent! And the rosemary scones Tanya sent us off with were awesome! If you are looking for a place to just get away from it all then Peace Hill is for you! Again thanks Tanya and Mike for being such fabulous hosts! We will be back again!

This was the perfect getaway. The cottage is huge and so quiet, and we loved the walk to the farm and the pond. Sunrise over the crops was gorgeous and fireflies at night brought back tons of childhood memories. Breakfast is awesome and innkeepers so kind.

Peace Hill was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, clean, close walking trails and great food. The food was amazing and coffee/tea/cider/coco is available 24/7. The attention to detail was excellent, including flashlights for evening walks, extension cords in the rooms, a small fridge stocked with bottled water and room for leftovers, bathrobes and slippers, and complimentary toiletries. We stayed in the Holdcroft room and with the exception of it being a little chilly (the thermostat for the upstairs is located in another guest room) it was perfect for our needs. The soaking tub was just the right size for a relaxing bath before bed. They have a fire bit a little ways back in the property next to a small pond. We had a bonfire and s'mores while we stargazed. During the day we took the canoe out on the pond and read while drifting around. It is super close to Williamsburg and tons of activities, but the noise and light pollution doesn't reach this small peace of tranquility. Highly recommended.

Mike and Tanya were delightful hosts and could not do enough for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend their B&B. The location is perfect for exploring Williamsburg or Richmond/Petersburg, but it's well removed from the traffic and crowds of either. The setting is truly peaceful! The breakfasts were outstanding and huge. Highly recommended!

We were made to feel at home from the very start. The property is great, with activities to do if you choose. The screened in porch is also nice to relax in the chairs or hammock with a pitcher of tea (that Tanya so kindly prepared for us). Bed is very comfortable and breakfast is tasty and filling.

My husband and I just got home from 2 nights at the Peace Hill B&B, and we are missing it already! Tanya and Mike were wonderful hosts, and the whole stay was perfect. This was our first time staying at a B&B and we had a great experience. We were the only guests while we were there, and we enjoyed our time in the hammock on the porch, walking around the nearby pond and farm, reading in the sitting room, and gobbling up the delicious food! In addition to breakfast each day, we also enjoyed dinner one night, a picnic lunch, and even took some of the farm fresh chicken eggs to go. The Holdcroft room was very lovely and the bed was very comfortable. What a peaceful and relaxing stay!

Everything about our stay was superlative. The suite, the innkeepers, the gourmet breakfasts and the charm of the location. Mike and Tanya were the ideal hosts. We highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast.

[Before I got this email, I mailed on a postcard a review of our stay.] The only thing I found not quite up to my expectations (which are very high!) was that the mattress was not as comfortable to my aching hips as mine at home. My husband was very pleased, however. The hosts were delightful --quite friendly and open, but sensitive to one's need for privacy. The facility is aptly named -- both for its history and its accommodations and setting. I highly recommend it!

Mike and Tanya Moore are pros at sweating the details to make a stay very enjoyable. I was traveling by bicycle, it was raining, and I was wondering how I could get dinner without getting soaked. Mike provided the transportation both ways. And before I left, Tanya sewed up a tear in one of my riding gloves. On top of that, the place is a gem and a good value. Stay there -- you will like this place!

Peace Hill is perfectly named and impeccably managed. The house and grounds are beautiful in a laid-back welcoming way. Tanya & Mike are the most personable, thoughtful hosts I've ever found. Don't miss the walk through the woods, and put your request in early for the rosemary-strawberry scones -- yum! This is a great choice for foodies, cyclists, and history buffs.

My husband and I needed to get away for some "us" time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home itself was beautiful; however the hospitality and great conversation with Mike and Tanya made the experience much more special. And the food and beverages- from the presentation, wonderful aromas, and delicious flavors- were excellent. Thank you! We look forward to future visits!

Mike & Tanya, the Innkeepers, have the most wonderful home EVER! Spotless, quiet, accessible, wonderful food & most comfortable beds. Everyday was a wonderful feast at the breakfast table! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Already planning our next trip to VA in November and plan on staying with them!!!!

The Inn Keepers, Mike and Tanya were awesome! From the momment we arrived and all through the stay, they made us feel so extremely comfortable. The breakfast and hospitality was first class and we had a great time sitting with them at night relaxing and talking on the sun porch. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to relax and feel like they are always going to be welcomed.

The proprietors of this B & B go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Staying with them feels more like staying with a beloved relative than in a business. The rooms were beautifully adorned with antiques, right down to turn of the (20th) century books. There are numerous choices for meditation and relaxation; the sitting room with its old piano, the sunroom, the front porch with the porch swing and hummingbirds flitting about, or my personal favorite, the back screened in porch with the rockers and authentic hammock from Guatemala with a fabulous view of the cotton fields and woods. Mrs Moore makes wonderful breakfasts that are as nice to look at as they are to eat. Mr Moore is the dutiful jack of all trades and entertainer. My daughter fell ill while we were staying there and they were as concerned as if she was there own grandchild. My best B&B experience yet. You will enjoy your experience here.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Mike & Tanya had everything ready and perfect. The bed & breakfast was very quiet & relaxing. We will make a point of going again!

We were here for just one night, we had booked one room and a breakfast. We were given that room but we could use another room and the porch and the winter garden. What a great surprise. But wait. Tanya and Mike prepared a delicious breakfast for us. What a treat. And when we left we got a little present from them. How nice. We can recommend this B&B and we will come back. Knut, Germany

Mike and Tanya went out of their way to make our stay at Peace Hill a relaxing experience. From the cheese and fruit tray for our enjoyment as we sat on the screened porch chatting to the delicious breakfast, they were wonderful hosts. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated and clean. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely go back again.

We were going to a wedding in the area and had several choices of B&B's. I am so glad we picked Peace Hill. It was not opulent like some of the others but just the right price for us and very peaceful. Mike and Tanya have the gift of hospitality. The breakfast was wonderful. We plan to go back to the area just to stay at Peace Hill

Tucked into the quiet countryside but ideally located between Richmond and Williamsburg, The B&B at Peace Hill is exactly what you imagine when you hear its name: peaceful. It is a charming hunting lodge filled with antique furniture and modern amenities, staffed with the most wonderfully hospitable innkeepers, and complete with all those extra-special touches that make staying at this B&B a one-of-a-kind experience. From the expertly prepared and elegantly served Southern country breakfast in the dining room to lemonade or sweet tea on the sun deck in the afternoon (during the warm months) or tea by the fireplace in the evening (during the cold months) to the bath products laid out by the claw foot tub, every detail is just perfect. And if you just go for the prize-winning scones, that alone will make your stay worthwhile!

Mike and Tanya make staying at this bed a breakfast a pure joy. They are two of the most pleasant people you will every meet and the breakfasts that Tanya prepares are delicious. The hot coffee and snack (home made biscotti and sweet bread) at your bedroom door every morning is a great way to start your day. The scenery is beautiful.

Our 2-night stay here was absolutely delightful! Mike and Tanya thought of every way to make us feel welcome, from the fresh flowers, chocolates, stocked refrigerator and cheese/cracker tray upon our arrival, to the scrumptious, hearty breakfasts (especially those rosemary scones!). We loved sitting on the huge, screened-in back porch overlooking the farmland and felt so peaceful. Mike and Tanya have made this B&B a place where you can't wait to return. They are warm, wonderful people and I would recommend this B&B to everyone. It's not far from Williamsburg and all of the other area attractions, but far enough away so that you feel like you got some 'country living'!

Tanya and Mike Moore have found their niche. Their outstanding hospitality and delectable meals have more people a reason to look outside Williamsburg for a place to stay.

My wife and I had stopped at several B&Bs prior to this one in Charles City, each distinctive and quite satisfactory. After a long days trip we were pleasantly surprised as the innkeepers came outside to greet us as we pulled into the drive. This was but the portend of the service and joy experienced during our two nights stay. We cannot speak highly enough in praise of this inn and the innkeepers. We certainly plan on returning and recommend it to those heading for the Williamsburg area. You will not be disappointed.

Peace Hill's innkeepers Tanya and Michael made us feel like Peace Hill was our home away from home. They had wonderful information of the area's sites and restaurants. If they didn't know the answer to our questions they found out quickly. The snack and breakfasts were outstanding. What a wonderful day to start a day of touring.

We had such a wonderful time at Peace Hill. Tanya and Mike were perfect hosts. We were made to feel right at home as soon as we got there. Tanya is an excellent cook and a superb baker. We appreciated the warm goodies whenever we returned from our day of adventure as well as the ones that were packed up for us to take. The breakfasts were feasts! It was very clean and comfortable. If you want to relax and feel at home this is the place to be.
