On the occasion of celebrating my retirement from active duty service, we found this gem of a B&B in the quiet hills of central VA and heart of wine country. Beautiful property with versatile accommodations - something for everyone in the family! Great stay for a romantic escape or family getaway. Awesome basement with game tables, billards, arcade, fitness center, and home theater. We enjoyed sweet and savory breakfasts on the porch overlooking the pond. The pool was refreshing and relaxing. The Thoreau room was perfect for couples. Had a nice bathroom w/jacuzzi and private porch access. We'll be back for gatherings with family and friends!

On the occasion of celebrating my retirement from active duty military service, we found this gem of a B&B in the quiet hills of central VA! Beautiful property with versatile accommodations - something for everyone in the family! Great stay for a romantic escape or family getaway. Awesome basement with game tables, billards, arcade, fitness center, and home theater. We enjoyed sweet and savory breakfasts on the porch overlooking the pond. The pool is refreshing and relaxing. We'll be back for gatherings with family and friends! Walden Hall is the best B&B we've ever stayed at in over 20 years of marriage and while serving in the military from New England to Hawaii!

We were so impressed with this B&B in so many ways! My fiance and I booked their Walt Whitman Grande Suite, which is UNBELIEVABLE. Eric and Andi took great care of us throughout our stay. The food was always to die for, we managed to snag the movie theater each night with free popcorn, we played billiards in the club, my fiance loved the little gym and I personally couldn't stop staring at this beautiful property. The lake in front is magical! I adored that they gave us some free tastings to local vineyards and they really spoiled us with their recommendations. I loved our private jacuzzi too! We loved this place so much we extended to do a third night in a smaller room, one that was just as beautiful, however not near as large. Walden Hall, please never change! Hope to see you soon for a wedding! :)

This was my first experience at a bed & breakfast, and I can honestly say that I do not think any place will ever be able to top the wonderful experience I had at Walden Hall! The inn was gigantic and situated on a beautiful estate in the Culpeper area. From the moment I walked in, it certainly felt like a home away from home. The decor was modern and relaxed, with neutral tones. The amenities were amazing, theater, pool, arcade, billiards, I can go on and on… The rooms were extremely comfortable and looked like they were pulled right out of a luxury home catalogue, and we all especially loved getting a good night's sleep on the Comphy bed sheets! It was a very inviting environment, and Eric made the experience even more lovely given the extensive knowledge he has about the region (and its surrounding vineyard areas) and places to eat and shop at, and especially his willingness to accommodate everyone's personal preferences. Additionally, let me rave about breakfast a little more...the breakfast was amazing! Breakfast was prepared fresh by the inn's own in-house chef (Jason?), and it was a delicious, healthy meal that was the perfect way to get our day started before taking off to visit wineries! Also, the granola was quite possibly the best granola I've ever had in my life. Regarding location, Walden Hall was convenient to the town of Culpeper (within 10 minutes) and vineyards are right down the road, so lunches, dinners, shopping, and obviously wine tastings are very nearby. I have nothing but praise for this fantastic bed and breakfast in the heart of Virginia Wine Country, and I cannot wait to come back and enjoy another wonderful stay here again soon!…

We had a destination wedding weekend at the gorgeous estate with over 100 guests and it was the most amazing weekend of our lives! Eric made the weekend happen for us! The venue was amazing and offers many solutions based on your desire as a bride. You can get married outside on the manicured lawn, in the gardens, in a beautiful barn, around the pool, just so many locations to choose from. The guest rooms at Walden Hall are nicer than anywhere we have ever stayed and are wonderful! Eric was responsive to EVERY email and phone call I made and he made me feel like I was the only person he was working with. I never had to worry about my wedding prior to or the day of. Eric and his staff were flexible and adaptable and handled everything thrown at them. They managed all the wedding vendors for me, helped me with the ceremony and they made sure everything was PERFECT!! The main thing is, the guests had a great time, felt pampered by the staff, and loved the venue and accommodations. The value was exceptional and they went the extra mile! We had a full blown weekend of activities, rehearsal dinner, welcome reception Friday evening, Wedding and Wedding Reception on Saturday and a brunch on Sunday. Just an amazing weekend!

It's tough to find people who care as much about your wedding as you do, but not With Walden Hall. The entire property in gorgeous and we were able to enjoy everything it had to offer for three days! Our guests are already booking their own getaways at Walden Hall for the winter and Spring.

We have been trying to get a reservation at Walden Hall for over a year now and we finally were able to visit! My wife and I were much in need of a escape from the city so on a whim I called and they happened to have the Longfellow Loft open on a Thursday. We were given a tour of the estate and met Jason in the kitchen and chatted with Eric about the history and the area. We had a luxurious room with more than accommodating amenities and an impressive meal. (They are not kidding when they advertise "gourmet" breakfast.) The dining room was stunning with beautiful woodwork. We spent our day visiting local wineries with the free tasting passes Eric provided. I also managed to squeeze in a massage, which was excellent as well. This is a highly recommended destination for anyone wanting to feel pampered and who is into food and wine. The amenities are truly outstanding and the views are beautiful from every angle of the property.. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible!

My daughter and her fiancé were married at Walden Hall in October, 2016. As any engaged couple and their parents know, there is so much planning to making this event one of the most memorable for the bride and groom and for family and friends. From day one, Walden Hall has worked closely with us to ensure that this day would be memorable. We worked with Eric Fulton, general manager and events extraordinaire. He provided excellent service. Walden Hall was the absolute perfect place for a wedding. Eric was always available to show us the property and answer the many many questions we had. We were able to host a wonderful and memorable wedding with the professional and caring attributes of all of our vendors. Many thanks to the staff of Walden Hall!
