The Inn at Onancock is nestled on the mid-point of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Our quaint village boasts several art galleries, antique shops, live playhouse and a one-screen movie theater, and the deep water Wharf anchors the historic downtown (the terminal for the Tangier Ferry). Outfitters rent equipment to explore the Shore, and we can arrange for paddling expeditions with local kayak guides. We are less than a 30-minute drive from many of the Shore's popular attractions, such as the Eastern Shore's premier winery, Assateague Island and its ponies, Turner sculptures, and dozens of unique local offerings. The Inn offers five spacious guest rooms with spa-style en suite baths, updated and meticulously cleaned and decadently provisioned. The indoor and outdoor common areas provide intimate spots of seclusion, or large spaces to sit together and enjoy one another's company. Mornings begin with a butler tray left at your door with your choice of morning drinks with which to wake-up and enjoy while you start your day. Breakfast is a thoughtful 3-course gourmet meal that end with a special treat! Before you head to any of our local and walk-able restaurants, we enjoy an hour to Wine Down; meet our fellow travelers, learn about local restaurants (five within a short walk), and to share the stories of our days and sometimes our lives. Please visit to see current reviews from all sources. Arrive as Guests and Leave as Friends.

Wonderful expereince

5 on August 31, 2018

We were thrilled with our choice of the Inn at Onancock, our choice for our first visit to Virginia's Eastern Shore. Kim and Matt make everyone feel at home in their gracious restored Victorian home and inn. The floor plan is wonderful, providing quiet, privacy, as well as a living room. library, and dining room along with porches on three porches and an shaded patio. The rooms are large, very comfortable, and all come with a private bath. All of the guests seem to almost "feel at home: in this special inn, located in a residential neighborhood, and only a short walk to the town with its unique shops and restaurants. Two additional highlights include Kim's delicious breakfasts (be sure to enjoy one of her shortbread cookies that literally melt in your mouth) and the daily "wine down" where you will enjoy a selection of wine or beer along with homemade appetizers while visiting and chatting with other guests and the innkeepers. Everyone there during our visit considered this nightly even to be a highlight of the inn. We've stayed at lots of inns but the Onancock Inn is at the top of the list!!!!!

Wonderful, charming, friendly hosts! Kim’s sumptuous breakfasts were delicious and her “wine down” hors d’oevres as creative as they were tasty! Lovely venue to stay in while visiting Onancock...

Weekend getaway

5 on August 21, 2018

This B & B is fantastic. We especially enjoyed the Wine down in the evening. We met interesting people and shared great conversation. The wonderful breakfast alone is enough to make us want to come back. Kim went out of her way to make arrangements for a Kayak wine tasting tour. We had a great time.

It was easy to give The Inn at Onancock 5 stars in every category. We felt like we were at home with family. And a gourmet chef could not have prepared better breakfasts.

Weekend Getaway

5 on August 09, 2018

This was our first experience with a B&B and it did not disappoint! The owners were very knowledgable about the area and extremely welcoming. The room was clean and cozy, and their entire home was inviting. Their wine down hour was unique and informative. We made new friends and learned a lot about the area. Breakfast each morning was fabulous and left you stuffed! We would definitely return to this inn.
