The Inn at Onancock is nestled on the mid-point of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Our quaint village boasts several art galleries, antique shops, live playhouse and a one-screen movie theater, and the deep water Wharf anchors the historic downtown (the terminal for the Tangier Ferry). Outfitters rent equipment to explore the Shore, and we can arrange for paddling expeditions with local kayak guides. We are less than a 30-minute drive from many of the Shore's popular attractions, such as the Eastern Shore's premier winery, Assateague Island and its ponies, Turner sculptures, and dozens of unique local offerings. The Inn offers five spacious guest rooms with spa-style en suite baths, updated and meticulously cleaned and decadently provisioned. The indoor and outdoor common areas provide intimate spots of seclusion, or large spaces to sit together and enjoy one another's company. Mornings begin with a butler tray left at your door with your choice of morning drinks with which to wake-up and enjoy while you start your day. Breakfast is a thoughtful 3-course gourmet meal that end with a special treat! Before you head to any of our local and walk-able restaurants, we enjoy an hour to Wine Down; meet our fellow travelers, learn about local restaurants (five within a short walk), and to share the stories of our days and sometimes our lives. We are getting ready to book a room again and it occurred to me that we had not left a review from our first stay! My apologies to our gracious host. We stayed for 2 nights in February of this year and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The rooms are beautiful, the breakfast was amazing and wine down was a treat. Matt and Kim do a great job making you feel completely comfortable. Wine down gives you the perfect opportunity to connect with them and the other guests. We made sure we didn't miss it either night and if you stay you should do the same! Great town, great Inn and great host!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a nice review and we look forward to seeing and hosting you again! Wine Down is our favorite time of day as well!

This was one of the most charming inns we have visited. It was so warm and welcoming. The complementary "Wine down" hour was just what we needed after a day on the road. The wine kept coming and the appetizers were very special. The fireplaced sitting room was the perfect spot to meet our fellow guests and relax before dinner. The 7:30am "dressing" coffee was a treat, and one I will try to adopt at home ,and the mega breakfast was fabulous. We will certainly recommend to anyone we know who is headed in that direction.
Thank you so much! You are generous with your words and with your time in writing this wonderful review. Please refer us to friends who might enjoy a time of relaxation and, please, come back again soon! M&K

The first time we stayed at the Inn of Onancock we were struck by how warm welcoming and friendly our Inn Keepers were. We were just starting our search for our retirement home on the water and were exploring parts of the Easter Shore of Virginia. The Onancock area was one of the areas we wanted to learn more about. What amazed us was the level of information good advice and genuine friendliness of Kim and Matt. On our third trip back to Onancock and third time staying at the Inn and I can assure you that we have has the same experience every time. I is truly like getting together with old friends.
We truly appreciate your kind words and the time you took out of your busy schedule to write them! We especially look forward being able to have you as neighbors! This is a wonderful place to visit, and an even better place to live. M&K

We spent one night at this comfortable inn on our way south. The owners were extremely welcoming and we enjoyed a "wine down" hour with them where we were offered delicious hors d'hoeuvres and with our drinks. The gourmet breakfast the next morning was excellent. We will be back.
We are so happy that you stopped and that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to hosting you again on your next trip through. Be well and travel safely. M&K

Tuscany is a large room on the second floor taking full advantage of the space afforded by the large bay window. The queen size bed sits high - even higher with the feather topper! The bathroom provides a towel warmer and a walk-in shower with adjustable jets. The warmth and majesty of this room makes it one of the most popular.
The Far East room is more than 150 square feet with another 100 square foot private bathroom and sits on the second floor of the inn. The Asian decor promotes deep rest and the feather-topped queen size bed, 1,000 pressed cotton sheets, natual light, and thoughtful palet enhances your relaxation. The bathroom is large and provides a towel warmer, Jacuzzi tub and stand-up shower. *not a pet-friendly suite*
Provence is a large bright room located in the front of the house on the second floor. It might be the prettiest room with the soft yellow coloring and the original clawfoot tub (with handheld shower). The fireplace (during fall and winter) adds a warmth to the bright natural light.
Maine is the largest room, and the most private, as it is the only guest room on the third floor. This is the only room with a king size bed (or 2 singles) and is the only dog friendly room. The privacy and interesting angles give the cozy feeling of a private retreat to Maine. The large private bathroom provides a towel warmer and a Jacuzzi tub with a handheld shower.
Willimansburg brings you back to a bygone era with a full-size canopied bed and fireplace (during fall and winter) with a comfortable reading chair. The cavernous bathroom with vaulted ceiling, picture window, and crystal chandelier make the Jacuzzi tub and stand-up shower an more special experience. Williamsburg is in the center, non-street side of the second floor.
