Foxfield Inn is a modern bed and breakfast located in the rolling countryside of Charlottesville, VA. We are minutes away from the Blue Ridge Mountains, many great wineries, UVA and Monticello. If you are looking to getaway and relax in comfort look no further. We have 5 uniquely appointed guestrooms for you to enjoy - 4 with fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. All are located on the first floor (there is only one floor - no stairs to climb with luggage!). Enjoy breakfast in the Sunroom. We serve a three course breakfast ending with a small dessert (who doesn't like a Sweet Ending?). We source as many of our ingredients from local farms (eggs and pork come from the farm across the road - can't get much more local than that). Dan grinds coffee beans every day so you have the freshest coffee available. After spending the day visiting one of the three President's homes in the area, going to UVA, hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains or sipping wine at one the nearby wineries come back to the inn and relax in the outdoor hot tub. Then head out to dinner at one of the area's many fine restaurants. We hope to see you soon! Breakfasts were epigastric delights !!! Reservations were made to visit Jefferson's home, a very informative tour. Breakfasts were a gastronomic delight. We were welcomed as old friends, even though this was only our second visit.

Kathryn and Dan are consistently able to provide a B&B experience that is the model on how it should be done!

Just a few miles north of downtown.Located perfectly for those who want to be 10-15 minutes away from downtown Charlottesville, wine tastings, or history, yet still set in a peaceful rural area. The inn has the charm and feel of a classic B&B while still being a modern inn. Kathryn's breakfasts are unique, well prepared, and will be among the best breakfasts you'll ever have and there's always a wonderful treat at the end of breakfast.

We recently spent two nights at the Foxfield Inn on our return from our summer home in Maine to our residence in South Carolina. This was our second visit while travelling between our properties and on both visits we stayed in the Hunt Country Room which was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts prepared by Kathryn and served by Dan have been an epicurean delight. Always creative and unique in presentation we look forward to returning to the Foxfield Inn again and again.

We have visited Foxfield Inn twice, both 2-night stays, on our way from our home in South Carolina and our summer cottage on the coast of Maine. As we are now in our eighties and it's a 1200 mile trip to/or from our properties, we have looked for quality B&B's along the way to make the trip enjoyable as opposed to being hurried and stressful. Foxfield Inn has been a perfect stopping place in many ways. The breakfasts prepared by Katheryn have been out-of-this-world, creative and original, enjoyed with the finest of fellow travelers, and perfectly served by her husband Dan.We have stayed in the Hunt Country Room on both visits and recommend it highly. On our first visit, we enjoyed a two hour student-conducted tour of the University of Virginia, where we gained an appreciation for the brilliance of its founder, Thomas Jefferson, in his design and structuring of one of America's premier educational facilities So cool, to see where Katie Couric, of Journalistic fame, spent her college days and graced a "lawn room" in her fourth year, rooms reserved for only the most outstanding of students. On stay two, we visited Monticello, the renowned and historic plantation of Thomas Jefferson. A UNESCO site, this is a most visit for any American or world traveler, with an interest in the history of our country and the life of our third president. Allow four hours at a minimum, to enjoy your visit. Foxfield Inn and Charlottesville, a perfect combination for a wonderful visit!

My husband and I spent a wonderful three days in Charlottesville at the Foxfield Inn. We needed to disappear for the weekend to get away from it all and relax. This was the perfect place to do it. They anticipated every need that we may have had and more. There was even a tooth brush under the sink which was perfect because my husband had forgot to pack his. They also had a 24/7 coffee bar with water, soda, popcorn, and daily snack that was all included with your stay. The bathroom soaker jetted tub was amazing. We stayed in their largest room the Hunt Country Room and were very happy with it. I also cannot say enough about the three course breakfast. It was amazing every day. Kathryn and Dan were lovely and made our experience wonderful. It was far enough out of the city to feel very relaxing yet close enough to easily go into town every day to shop or eat. When you make a reservation they will send you a list of popular things to do and will even make reservations for you. We highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a quiet get away with relaxing features and great food.
