Foxfield Inn is a modern bed and breakfast located in the rolling countryside of Charlottesville, VA. We are minutes away from the Blue Ridge Mountains, many great wineries, UVA and Monticello. If you are looking to getaway and relax in comfort look no further. We have 5 uniquely appointed guestrooms for you to enjoy - 4 with fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. All are located on the first floor (there is only one floor - no stairs to climb with luggage!). Enjoy breakfast in the Sunroom. We serve a three course breakfast ending with a small dessert (who doesn't like a Sweet Ending?). We source as many of our ingredients from local farms (eggs and pork come from the farm across the road - can't get much more local than that). Dan grinds coffee beans every day so you have the freshest coffee available. After spending the day visiting one of the three President's homes in the area, going to UVA, hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains or sipping wine at one the nearby wineries come back to the inn and relax in the outdoor hot tub. Then head out to dinner at one of the area's many fine restaurants. We hope to see you soon! We stayed at Foxfield Inn for a single night but would have happily stayed longer! Our hosts were most gracious and the rooms was perfect. Breakfast was a gourmet delight. Quiet, serene, beautiful location and yet convenient to Charlottesville. Highly recommend this B&B, and we will definitely stay again!

We were given our weekend stay as a wedding gift and we honestly cannot wait to come back. Kathryn and Dan treated us like family. Their Bed and Breakfast is truly a luxurious place to stay. They have thought of every detail and the food is superb! We will definitely be back!!

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely B&B. Dan and Katherine were wonderful hosts! The entire house was so nice. We LOVED our room. It was clean, warm and quiet. We made use of the private jacuzzi in our bedroom and also the hot tub outside. It was nice to always have full access to the pantry which was always stocked with bottled water, soda, sparkling water, oranges, apples, cookies, popcorn coffee and tea. Both mornings Katherine fixed delicious meals! There isn’t one negative thing to say about The Foxfield Inn. I definitely would recommend this B&B! Matt and Cathi Cavender 1/29/18

We had a wonderful time at the Foxfield Inn. The breakfast was unforgettable and outstanding. Coffee available outside our room and cookies as well were such a treat. I would definitely come and stay again. Our hosts were so nice and welcoming and our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. What more could you ask for. Another treat was wifi without using a password! Many thanks for everything, Marty and Dick Sena

My wife and I spent two nights during Christmas in the Garden Room. Kathryn and Dan were great hosts. The room was well-appointed and very clean, and the view from the room was peaceful and relaxing. The gas fire place and the oversize jacuzzi made the room a perfect place to unwind and de-stress. Breakfast was excellent, and they made sure to accommodate our dietary restrictions. The "downtown" of Charlottesville is just 10 minutes away with nearby shopping and dining. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

My husband and I stayed at the Foxfield Inn last weekend for an early Christmas getaway. The Rose Room is beautiful with its cozy fireplace and large bathroom. Kathryn and Dan are wonderful hosts who think of everything including a welcoming glass of wine, homemade cookies and treats as well as appetizers before dinner. Kathryn’s three course breakfast is totally gourmet. Thank you Kathryn and Dan for a very relaxing weekend!

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and we love Charlottesville. The Foxfield Inn had gotten great reviews and know I know why. Kathryn and Dan were so accommodating and we had a great time. We got the Romantic Escape package and I would highly recommend it. the dinner at the Ivy Inn included in that package was fabulous. The bottle of wine and roses were so nice to have in the room when we arrived. We will definitely be back!

November 2017 We had a delightful stay at Foxfield Inn with wonderful service, beautiful rooms, and lovely grounds in a peaceful location. Dan and Kathryn are very gracious hosts. We arrived late around 9PM, and Dan kindly welcomed us with a tour of the house and served us a glass of wine. We especially enjoyed the 3 course gourmet breakfasts and conversation with other guests. A variety of snacks and beverages was available each day, and we loved the fresh baked cookies. The bedrooms and sitting areas are inviting and well-appointed with fireplaces to warm a cold night or brisk morning. The location of the inn provides ease of access to attractions. We highly recommend this inn. You will not be disappointed!

This is a very nice Inn, Dan met us coming in, showed us everything, offered a glass of wine while unpacking, all nice touches. He gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. There isn't anywhere really convenient, but the one 8 miles away was great. For anything else you need to go into Charlottesville. There are a few points that might matter to you: 1. There is no TV in the room. There is a community one in the common area. which is fine, as long as everyone wants to watch the same thing. Yes, some would say watching TV is a waste in a B & B, but if you have been watching the whole season of something, and the finale is while you are out of town, it would be nice to have the option. 2. The coffee/tea service isn't in the room, but in the hallway. That means you can't just get up and have a cup while still in your pj's. You need to be dressed before you even have your first cup. Not and easy thing for some of us. 3. The drive way entrance is hard to see from the road traveling 50mph. The sign is very small, and difficult to see during the day. It is lit at night, which makes it easier to find, however. I realize there are probably restrictions, but it would be nice to know what you are looking for. All in all I think this is a very nice Inn, and would go back if I was in the area again. I'd just be better prepared for it's nuances.
The Dogwood Room is one of the original bedrooms in the inn. It is decorated in soothing tones of cream, gold, and greens, providing a comfortable, relaxing stay. It has marvelous views of our fishpond and 200-year-old oak tree in our park-like backyard. This room features a handcrafted, cherry, queen-size bed, sitting area with two barrel chairs, and Bose® CD/radio. The private bath has been completely renovated to feature a country-style accommodation including a traditional shower/tub combination.
The Garden Room is a creamy yellow room overlooking our park-like garden outside. An outside porch is just a few steps away for relaxing after your busy day in Charlottesville. Room amenities - queen size bed, fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, Bose CD/radiowith iPOD cable
The Hunt Country Room is decorated in creamy ecru & gold tones and features fox hunting and equestrian décor, making this room a favorite among horse lovers. Sparrows and wrens will entertain you at the outside birdfeeder. Room amenities - king size bed, fireplace, Jacuzzi tub, Bose CD/radio with iPOD cable
The comfortable elegance of Rose Room makes you feel pampered from the moment you enter. The king-size bed with pillow-top mattress and incredibly comfy bed linens invites you to unwind. Sit in one of the chairs by the window and watch the birds and squirrels at the bird feeder or watch the antics of the bluebirds around the birdhouse. Or you could simply start the fireplace going and cuddle up while you unwind from your day.
