My husband & I called & booked a room at the Blue Ridge Manor Bed & Breakfast while we were exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, we arrived with only a few hours notice, and were greeted to a beautiful home. We were so pleased to see the gorgeous view an absolutely charming hostess, friendly dogs, and a cozy and clean room. We ended up staying 3 days and 2 nights there. The attractions we wanted to go to were within miles. The Bed and Breakfast has a comfy porch with rocking chairs and view, there is a fishing pond within walking distance, WiiFii and cable, and lots of comfortable shared family rooms and dinning room. The owners collect antiques, I really enjoyed looking at their lovely collections. My husband has back injuries and pain, also a traumatic brain injury, which prevents him from sleeping as well as he did prior to his injury, he slept so well both nights we were there, it was such a blessing!

This was my wife's first stay in a bed and breakfast , and I wanted her to have a great experience. The room was beautiful and the hosts were very cordial and eager to please . If we are in the area would certainly stay there again. The location is a little remote and might be difficult to find in the dark . I would suggest you plan your arrival 20-20 minutes before dark. If you call ahead, Darlene will give you alternate directions that are better then Goggle map.

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage at Blue Ridge Manor Bed and Breakfast. Living room, eat in kitchen and two bedrooms were very large - also had one bathroom with shower. Owners were very friendly and offered suggestions for dinner (enjoyed Goobers 52). Views are beautiful right outside the cottage. We had four people and three dogs and the cottage had more then enough room. I would suggest staying here if you are in the Mt Airy / Pilot Mountain area - especially if you are looking for a pet friendly place.

My mother & I stayed for the evening visiting Mt. Airy. Superb Mother's Day retreat! The owners were very attentive & accomadating to our needs. I especially loved interacting with the family dogs & the nice little aviary was unique as it was educational. I wish we could've stayed longer as it's a nestled gem in the mountains.

My three children and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay overnight in the cottage at blue ridge manor bed and breakfast. Darlene helped me set up the reservations and even took extra time to chat with me about life. Although we arrive late, and her family was visiting when we came, she settled us in and made sure we had everything that we needed. Dave, who is very friendly as well, met us when he brought a garbage bag down. It felt as though we were already friends~ They have several dogs and we liked to pet them too. Our favorite parts of the stay was the amazing views, the dogs and watching Milo and Otis in the cozy living room together. The only problem that we had was that since we had to cook our dinner and breakfast, there was not a sufficient amount of kitchen wear like cooking utensils, colanders, cookware, bake wear, etc. There was a beautiful set of dishware though. The reason my rate was lower on cleanliness was mostly because the kitchen cupboards/drawers needed to be cleaned out, but overall, a tidy and clean home and very welcoming and cozy! The rating on dining was low only because we did not have the breakfast, but cooked our own (which I usually do at B&B's anyways) Thanks Darlene and Dave;-)

We used a Groupon to stay, but the weekend we wanted to stay they planned not to open the bed and breakfast since Darlene would be gone. Nevertheless, they allowed us to stay in the cottage for no additional cost and even prepared a continental breakfast for us and left it in the fridge. Great quick getaway! Hope to make it back someday to try breakfast!

We stayed in the newly renovated cottage. So quiet, comfortable, clean, and cozy. It has a full kitchen and two bedrooms. Darlene and Dave are wonderful- so helpful, great tour guides, and great cooks!

Loved it, with one exception, 5 barking dogs during a large portion of the night. The dogs were friendly and well behaved otherwise.
Thank you for taking time to write your review. I'm sorry if the dogs bothered you. The 3 outside pups do occasional see or hear something that they feel is a threat and will Bark to alert us. The little Yorkies chime in ever once in a while if they hear the outside dogs. Thankfully that don't happen frequently. We have all kinds of wildlife that could have gotten then excited.

Even though we only stayed one night, it was fantastic! Clean nice room, very nice hosts, and the breakfast was fantastic...very secluded and quiet, a nice getaway! You owe it to yourself to go here! ..

We loved our retreat weekend! My husband fished on the property while I read at the pond. The dogs are gentle and if we could've taken them home we would have! The breakfast was better than Cracker Barrel's! We met some sweet people & plan to go back every year!
