Just Beautiful

4.6 on September 11, 2017

We have stayed here twice. Both times during a Virginia Tech Football weekend. It is walking distance to EVERYTHING. The beds are comfortable. The food is amazing. The service is beyond professional and accommodating. The only black mark is the bathrooms need some TLC, as they are a bit dated. Otherwise, it is quiet, even with all the parties going on throughout the city. We just love how "at home" we feel there. I will only stay at here when I visit Blacksburg. Just a wonderful place.

Great place to stay in Blacksburg

Nice hosts, nice property where you don't feel like you're intruding, super convenient to the VT campus and downtown.

Love Clay Corner Inn!!

5 on July 20, 2015

My husband and I have recently stayed at the Clay Corner Inn on 2 different occasions and it was fabulous! I can't say enough about the ambiance, wonderful hosts Nicky & Rick, and their staff. The rooms were exceptionally clean, cozy and inviting, the shared kitchen, living room and computer access was terrific. The "comphy" sheets on the bed were so delightful, we ordered some! You don't know wonderful sheets until you sleep on the "comphy" sheets. The breakfast options were delicious, and the homemade cookies and muffins were outstanding. Relaxing, reading a book by pool and eating/drinking outside on covered patio and the convenience of walking into town to look around was terrific. We will be back and we recommend you stay at the Clay Corner Inn!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your lovely comments! We make every effort to ensure our guests can truly relax and enjoy themselves. Every detail is important to us, from the quality of your sleep to the breakfast and treats provided! Please come back and see us again soon...and enjoy your Comfy Sheets!!

Wonderful weekend!

5 on January 27, 2015

My husband and I provided free EKG screenings at McComas Hall on January 24, 2015 for VT and High School students in Blacksburg. ( We wanted to stay closer to campus for our convenience. Our stay was better than we could have ever imagined as Nicky, the owner of the Inn, could not have been more gracious. We intend on returning soon if we are lucky enough to get a reservation!

Innkeeper Response
No, the pleasure was ours! We enjoyed very much getting to know your family and look forward to having you here again... remember next time to ask for your referral $20 off because you were referred to us by Susanna. Have a wonderful time until we meet here again.

Charming place very near Virginia Tech

5 on April 11, 2014

The Inn is very well kept, charming and cozy. The complimentary water, soda and tea was very nice after a very busy day at VT. The breakfast was absolutely fabulous and made a great start to our Day. Nicky is very friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay with the advantage of being within walking distance of the Virginia Tech campus.

Innkeeper Response

Quick Mother Daughter get-away

5 on April 10, 2014

This is positively the best place to stay in Blacksburg. One block from VATech campus, walking distance to shops and restaurants and the just the most inviting rooms, garden, patio and pool in the area. My daughter attends VT but always stays with me at the Clay Corner Inn when I am in town because the beds are so comfy, the bath linens luxurious, and the breakfasts include healthy and hearty choices. Cannot wait to return!

Innkeeper Response
I remember very well your stay with your daughter and am very pleased we could make it so special for you. I as a mother also know how difficult it is to have our young adults at college on special occasions and to know we could offer you this time together has made us very happy. See you again soon!
