Can't wait to go back!

5 on August 26, 2018

We had an absolutely delightful experience here. We took advantage of Donna's offer to pick up Italian food from a local restaurant and dined outside on the patio. We also got a tour of all of the rooms as we were the first ones to check in, and all of the rooms, including the common areas, are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious (and huge!). Donna was the perfect host; we can't wait to return.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you very much for your kind words. It is our goal to make every guest feel special and enjoy the inn as much as we do as our home. We welcome all are guest to come back, and certainly hope you do. Safe travels always, Donna

Perfect dream vacation venue. Gracious hosts Donna and Brian treat you like honored relatives. Spa experience highlighted by a light sprinkle accentuating country smells of warm evergreen and dirt. Fond memories. Linda and Tim

What a Great Place to Stay!

5 on June 29, 2018

We had such a lovely time at this terrific B&B. Having stayed at b&b's, hotels, vacation rentals, etc. many times, we know how the little things can make or break the experience. Donna simply thinks of everything - all the little details that make a stay so enjoyable. She is so nice and genuinely concerned about making her guests comfortable and happy. Our room was lovely, breakfast was outstanding, and our every need seemed to be anticipated. Thanks, Donna!

The best B&B I've ever been to.

If you are looking for a great get away this is the place to go. Donna and her family made me and my wife feel like we were part of her family. The house is so cut and makes you feel like you are home. The location of the house is just down the street from the amphitheater that is used during the Shakespeare festival and is 5 minutes from some of the best food in the area. Donna gave us great recommendations for places to eat and we weren't let down by any of them. Donna is an absolute amazing cook and her breakfast that she makes are second to none. They do have dogs and a cat and they are the most well behaved animals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I can not highly recommended this place highly enough. I would give the 10 stars if I could.

Perfect spot for a private outdoor dinner.

We hosted a family dinner for 70 people in the garden after our son's wedding ceremony. Donna and her staff were very helpful and so easy to work with!

Charming and convenient!

We had a wonderful experience! The inn, built in 1897, is charming and old-fashioned (Donna will give you the history and show you original photos), yet with modern conveniences. Location is great, short walk to restaurants and shops downtown. Donna, the owner, was delightful and helpful with anything we needed, like beach towels, cooler for lunch. She makes a yummy breakfast, which can be eaten in the gorgeous garden at individual tables (a plus for us - we don't care for B&Bs where we are forced to sit at same table and make conversation with others. Here we had the option, but not required). Be aware that there are 4 affectionate large dogs and 2 cats. Let Donna know ahead of time if you are allergic and she will make sure they stay out of your room! Definitely recommend.

Great Stay!

We were passing through on our way to visit the national parks, and we had a fantastic overnight stay. We were a little bummed not to have time to appreciate all the amenities - hot tub, bocce ball, etc. The room was nice and spacious, and it was an easy drive to Zion and Bryce.

Just like being at home

Donna was very welcoming and made me feel at home. There were tea to drink in the evening. There were also microwave and refrigerator for guests. My room was clean and cozy. Donna made delicious black berry soufflé for breakfast that was hearty and large that kept me going all day driving to Moab. Fantastic place to stay. It’s near downtown where there are plenty of places to eat dinner.

Innkeeper Response

I surprised my husband with a stay here and it was absolutely wonderful! Truely a home away from home. Breakfast was delicious and our host was very knowledgeable and just delightful all around.

Superb Stay!

This review is quite delayed, as we visited over Thanksgiving weekend, at the generosity of the Iron Gate owners, as they normally don’t accept guests over the holiday. Arriving on Thanksgiving afternoon, there we NO dining options open in the area. We were invited to join our host family at their meal. This set the tone for our stay. We weren’t just “customers”, we were valued guests. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast food was abundant and delicious. Our hosts were happy to interact with us, but also gave us our space to enjoy the beautiful home and amenities. They are extremely knowledgeable about the area since they are actively involved in their community, so they gave great suggestions of activities we might like to try as well as great dining suggestions. This review cannot adequately convey the pleasure of our visit and we are so grateful that we were able to spend this time at Iron Gate and with this wonderful family!

About the innkeepers

My husband and I fell in love with the Iron Gate Inn the first time we visited Utah. I'm an event planner and love to create memories for people. I have studied nutrition over the years and have cooked since early childhood. We are dedicated to providing the utmost relaxing experience in our home including our plush garden with an outdoor Jacuzzi and Fire pit. Coming in Spring 2018 we are adding the Iron Gate Suites.
