Anniversary trip

Incredible time at the Belle of the Bends during our short stay in Vicksburg. Jessie was a great hostess and breakfast was incredible (especially the potatoes) our room was clean and the house is beautiful. A wonderful flavor of old southern tradition.

Outstanding all around. Room was nice building kept up great. Best things were Jessie's outstanding breakfasts and just how nice Kendra and Jessie are. You can't fake real caring and an interest in helping guests have a time to remember. Would stay again. No problem using our names. Dave and Monica Perkins, Oak Creek WI

A birthday treat

4.6 on March 13, 2018

From the moment we made the reservation we knew our stay was going to be great. Ms Jessie responded almost immediately for a special diet request and it was clear from her warm tone that nothing was going to be too much trouble. A call and email on arrival day to check what time we would be arriving and a beaming smile when we did arrive set the tone for our visit. Ms Jessie showed us around the home, gave us a history pack and details of local restaurants. Breakfasts were a delight. To say we were replete when we left the table is something of an understatement. Belle of the Bends is a delightful residence, Ms Jessie, a treasure and a visit, a must.

The inn is a fantastic place to stay while in Vicksburg. This is our 2nd time to stay here, and Ms. Jessie simply puts Southern Hospitality over the top. Great accommodations and the breakfast was simply amazing. A must if visiting the area.

Quelle Belle!

5 on November 10, 2017

My wife and I spent two October days at Belle of the Bends as part of a six week coast-to-coast exploration of America. Of the dozen or so B&B's where we stayed along the way Belle of the Bends ranks at the very top. Vicksburg as an attraction speaks for itself. And Belle of the Bends is a comfortable, enchanting home, convenient to the attractive historic downtown. But the key ingredient for us in this stay was the welcoming, helpful, warm engagement with Ms Jessie, the Innkeeper, who brings life to Belle of the Bends.

A Night in Vicksburg

5 on November 06, 2017

We stayed one night in the Josephine Room and were most impressed! Ms. Jessie was an outstanding hostess and cook, and breakfast was delicious. Location was excellent as we were able to walk into town for dinner and sightseeing. We especially enjoyed the wrap-around porch and swings. It was great to learn the history of this historic mansion. Next time we would stay two nights.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for the compliment and I'm glad you not only enjoyed my services that I provide but the overall of the home. Hurry back¿¿

The Belle was a gorgeous southern mansion in pristine condition, a beautiful place. Loved meeting Dan and Mary who have fully embraced being B&B hosts. Brian Bourgeois

Elegantly Comfortable!

5 on May 01, 2013

We had a great visit here - it was one of the best we have visited! We stayed in the Josephine Room, very large and very comfortable. Mary was a great hostess and the breakfasts were wonderful! The trains did not affect us as we had the air-conditioning on so no windows were opened. We would definitely consider staying here again! Wendy and Rick Beaumont

Enjoyable Experience in Old South Style

5 on October 07, 2011

We enjoyed a wonderful visit at this B&B. Our innkeeper, Mary, is very personable and quite knowledgeable about Vicksburg and the surrounding area. This B&B is beautifully appointed and very comfortable with large rooms, high ceilings, and all the comforts you would expect in an Antebellum home. Breakfasts were outstanding and beautifully served on an elegant table. There is only one caveat - there is an occasional train that comes through nearby, however, we didn't find it a problem. We would definitely consider staying here again should we return to visit the area.
