The inn is a fantastic place to stay while in Vicksburg. This is our 2nd time to stay here, and Ms. Jessie simply puts Southern Hospitality over the top. Great accommodations and the breakfast was simply amazing. A must if visiting the area.

My wife and I spent two October days at Belle of the Bends as part of a six week coast-to-coast exploration of America. Of the dozen or so B&B's where we stayed along the way Belle of the Bends ranks at the very top. Vicksburg as an attraction speaks for itself. And Belle of the Bends is a comfortable, enchanting home, convenient to the attractive historic downtown. But the key ingredient for us in this stay was the welcoming, helpful, warm engagement with Ms Jessie, the Innkeeper, who brings life to Belle of the Bends.

We stayed one night in the Josephine Room and were most impressed! Ms. Jessie was an outstanding hostess and cook, and breakfast was delicious. Location was excellent as we were able to walk into town for dinner and sightseeing. We especially enjoyed the wrap-around porch and swings. It was great to learn the history of this historic mansion. Next time we would stay two nights.
Thank you so much for the compliment and I'm glad you not only enjoyed my services that I provide but the overall of the home. Hurry back¿¿

The Belle was a gorgeous southern mansion in pristine condition, a beautiful place. Loved meeting Dan and Mary who have fully embraced being B&B hosts. Brian Bourgeois

We had a great visit here - it was one of the best we have visited! We stayed in the Josephine Room, very large and very comfortable. Mary was a great hostess and the breakfasts were wonderful! The trains did not affect us as we had the air-conditioning on so no windows were opened. We would definitely consider staying here again! Wendy and Rick Beaumont

We enjoyed a wonderful visit at this B&B. Our innkeeper, Mary, is very personable and quite knowledgeable about Vicksburg and the surrounding area. This B&B is beautifully appointed and very comfortable with large rooms, high ceilings, and all the comforts you would expect in an Antebellum home. Breakfasts were outstanding and beautifully served on an elegant table. There is only one caveat - there is an occasional train that comes through nearby, however, we didn't find it a problem. We would definitely consider staying here again should we return to visit the area.

My wife and I stayed at this GREAT B&B for three days and I can tell you we will be back!! We arrived about 7:30pm on are 1st day we had no problems checking and parking is gated I can tell you having stayed in many B&B's over the years this is a great benefit. Mary showed us around the house and them to are room. The room and the house was one of the most well keep and true to the period that I have been in. The breakfast was to die for we always had hot coffee every morning, fresh fruit, eggs, fresh biscuits with gravy or jam and many other items to tease the palate. I only wished that we lived closer so we could stay at this GREAT B&B MORE OFTEN.

Amazing hospitality, delicious food and outstanding accomodation. We loved our one night stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. The room was beautifully appointed (as was the whole house) and the balcony in particular had a lovely view down to the Mississippi and was so nice to sit out there with a coffee first thing. Would definitely recommend.

Jessie hails from New Orleans,Louisiana. She brings all the graciousness of the deep south mixed in with a bit of that cajun /creole spitfire! She loves to cook, read, watch movies, and when time allows, go to concerts at the various casinos in the area.
This is Jessie's most asked for dish which is diced up potatoes smothered with onions & bell peppers and seasoned with fresh garlic cooked to a golden brown
