Wonderful Experience!

We only stayed here one night, but everything was amazing. We staying in the cathedral suite. I loved the views of the neighborhood and could have sat by the windows and read a book for hours. The bathroom and tub were amazing. I appreciated the heated tile floors, especially in February. I even used the tub! The food was very delicious as well. My husband loved the lemon butter! This location is very close to so many attractions, I wish we had time to stay longer. We would definitely consider staying here again, if in the area.

St Paul at its finest

If you want a quiet, luxurious get-away just blocks from downtown St Paul, this is the place. Step back in time and enjoy the craftsmanship of this beautiful home. Remember high ceilings and verandas? The view is very nice (our room overlooked the St Paul Cathedral). We were served a delicious breakfast of French toast, maple syrup and sausages, fruit ... and excellent coffee. For our anniversary stay, this was well worth the visit.

Spectacular Place in a Great Location

We stayed in the cathedral suite for our anniversary and it was fantastic. Wonderful views out the window of St. Paul's Cathedral which is just a few blocks away. There's a little parking lot out back so no worries about finding on street parking. The place is decorated just wonderfully and the bed and bath were both clean and comfy. There was a great, deep air jet tub in our room, although we didn't use it because we were often on the go. Each morning there's a wonderful full breakfast (we were there 3 days and had everything from gourmet scrambled eggs to delicious raspberry french toast) and there is always a keurig set up in the dining room stocked with plenty of coffee as well as a mini fridge with other beverages. If you're visiting Hill House on Summit Ave, this place is within easy walking distance (just a few blocks away) and there are numerous really great places to eat nearby (although some on the pricy side). It's also pretty close to both I35E and I94 which makes it an easy trip to both downtown Minneapolis as well as the Mall of America. Although they did just finish the new Green line train system which runs from Saint Paul to Minneapolis and you can always hop on that to reach the Nicollette Mall and avoid the hassle of finding parking.

This romantic Bed and Breakfast made my year. We enjoyed the beautiful neighborhood as we walked to dinner at a place called W.A. Frosts what a charming patio and great food! Walking distance to downtown, The Science Museum, The History Center, The Cathedral, & The Smith Street Bridge at night WOW! The B and B was charming, updated, staffed with friendly people, everyone we encountered was cheerful, helpful, and very accommodating. It is definitely a place to visit for a quiet relaxing get away but if you want to veg out on tv theirs look brand new with cable and they also have WIFI for free. The New Victorian is somewhere I would go back to again and again.
