Everything was excellent during the stay. Tom and Wendy went out of their way to make sure we had a fantastic weekend. The wrap around porch has an absolutely breathtaking view making morning tea or coffee my favorite moments from the weekend. The inn is far enough removed from the hustle of pigeon forge that you feel like you are at a retreat but close enough to maintain convenience to all the attractions. The breakfasts served were delicious and kept you full well into the afternoon. We can not wait to return for another weekend retreat.

. . . like Tom and Wendy at the Braeside Inn. Our visit was special in every way—gracious hosts, beautiful views, wonderful food, and a relaxing, old world atmosphere. Tom and Wendy pampered us throughout our visit and we can’t wait until we're able to return. We highly recommend the Braeside Inn.

My husband and I would rate braeside Inn outstanding in all categories , It definitely exceeded our expectations in all areas. The review would not let us check all five stars. WE had a wonderful stay there and Tom and Wendy made us feel right at home. The Inn was beautifully decorated and very clean. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay and plan on returning. Sincerely Chuck and Sherry.

Thy is is the most wonderful place we've ever had the opportunity to stay at. Wendy & Tom Lynde are great, great people to be around and they made us thoroughly welcome. The rooms are perfectly designed for privacy and comfort and the whole place radiates country AND Scottish charm--from the Scottish decoration & delicious treats prepared by Wendy to the landscaping & immaculately ornate wooden items fashioned by the talented Tom! The location provides quick and easy access to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg & the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. My wife and I were not able to stay for breakfast because of time restraints, however, if the snacks provided are any indication of Wendy's kitchen skills, then I have no doubt about the food here. I highly suggest looking Wendy & Tom up and giving them the opportunity to provide as memorable of a stay as they gave us. Many Thanks to the Lyndes! Jason & Tonya Sharp (Valentine's 2015)

While traveling home from Florida to Michigan, my husband and I decided to spend New Years in the Gatlinburg area. Found this extraordinary B&B online and fell in love just from the pictures. Called the number at 5pm, got a call back by 6, and had a reservation for that night at 8! Our first choice room was available and it was more beautiful than the online pictures lead on! Tom greeted us upon arrival and gave us the grand tour and helped us find a local restaurant to grab a much needed bite to eat. Breakfast was amazing both mornings of our stay!!! Kept us full until later afternoon! The whole inn is amazingly beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming! I can't wait to stay there again!!

My husband and I have traveled to the Braeside every year since opening, and we have yet to be disappointed. From the innkeepers to the views to the food, this is the ideal small inn getaway. We will continue to return each year for our anniversary trip, and we will always cherish the memories of each trip.

My husband and I decided to make a last minute trip to the smokies. We saw the Braeside Inn online and through we would check it out. I sent them an email and later that night Wendy called and confirmed our dates for the very next day. We were thinking we wanted to stay in the mountains but decided that it was much more fun to stay in Sevierville, at the Braeside because it has such spectacular views. We spent time each morning drinking in the amazing sunrises from the back porch. Our hosts were nothing but friendly and accommodating. We felt at home at once and the rooms and common areas were spotless and welcoming. We enjoyed sitting in the family room reading or sipping hot chocolate by the fire. The food was amazing. The breakfasts are definitely worth the stay and Wendy made evening treats which we looked forward too. The only thing was the beds were a little hard for my taste but I would definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I were treated to a three night stay in honor of our birthdays by our children. We were very pleased with the accommodations and the warm hospitality of Tom and Wendy. The food was wonderful and the views outstanding. We enjoyed the serenity and beauty in the evening after taking in the nearby sights all day. We highly recommend the Braeside Inn.

It's like they have their own private mountain overlooking Sevierville. The gourmet breakfasts are spectacular, we love the two person jet tub in the Macintosh (there is, I believe, a one-person jet tub in the Buchanan), and of course even though it's secluded and private it's very close to Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Dollywood. I have stayed at the Braeside Inn twice and can't wait to go back again! Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we both loved it! The views were spectacular, the owners Tom & Wendy were so kind and hospitable and the room we stayed in -the Mackintosh- was very spacious and nice. The whole place is very beautiful and charmingly decorated and is was great for a relaxing stay. :) Would highly recommend!

Sevierville is very busy in October so we were so grateful for the beautiful haven that is the Braeside Inn! The mountain it sits on is high and the driveway is steep but you are rewarded at the top with gracious and fun hosts, beautifully appointed rooms and fresh, healthy breakfasts! All in all a wonderful stay!

We stayed at the Braeside Inn B&B for three nights. It was wonderful. We've been to nearly 80 B&B places all over the world and consider Braeside Inn as one of the best we've been to because of the outstanding hospitality we found there and also the great views from the balcony while sitting in one of the rocking chairs. Tom's and Wendy's local knowledge also added remarkably to the great experience. If one wants to visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park there's no better place to stay in this wonderful area than at the Braeside Inn B&B.
5 on September 22, 2014
we stayed for two nights to enjoy the country and rapidly found that some, or the majority, of the fun was staying at the B&B and visiting with Tom and Wendy and capitalizing on all the wonderful aspects of the B&B and site.

Bruce and I stayed at the Braeside for 2 days in August toward the end of our 17 day/4500 mile road trip and what a wonderful way to end a perfect vacation!!! So relaxing. Our view from our room and balcony were breathtaking! Wendy and Tom were perfect hosts, the inn beautiful and homemade snacks at night and breakfast in the mornings amazing!!

Braeside Inn is a charming B & B on the outskirts of town with a wonderful view of the mountains from the porch. Sit in a rocky chair and pass the time away. Close to everything yet far enough away to give this inn a country feel. Tom and Wendy are outstanding hosts, warm and friendly, and the breakfast each morning was delightful. If you're in this area and looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend Braeside Inn.

Without a doubt, this is the best stay at a Bed and Breakfast that I have ever experienced. The entire place was spotless. The owners, Tom and Wendy, were exceptionally nice. Wendy's breakfast was absolutely outstanding! The plate of cookies laid out ever evening for guests were delicious. If you ever are going to this part of TN and are choosing a bed and breakfast, then this is the place to stay.

Myself,my husband, our daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed the weekend spent at the Braeside Inn. Everything about this wonderful bed and breakfast was outstanding. The rooms, which are decorated in a Scottish theme, and the rest of the house with all the Scottish knick knacks brought me back to me home in Scotland. After growing up ,in Scotland,in a house called Braeside this was the place for me!! Our hosts,Wendy and Tom,were so nice and friendly and the food was out of this world. We will be back!!

Our daughter, Rachel, gave us the idea of staying in a Bed and Breakfast for the very first time. She did all the leg work and picked the Braeside inn. What a pleasant surprise. Wendy and Tom were excellent hosts, the view from the balcony was spectacular, our room was gorgeous and the breakfasts were delicious. Our hosts attention to detail was amazing. Gwen, a friend of our hosts did a wonderful job as a fill in while they were visiting their grandchildren. All said ,it was an amazing experience celebrating our 44th Anniversary. We would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to any one visiting Pigeon Forge, Tn. Many thanks, Marsha and Bill.

Return visit, still in love with this place! Wendy and Tom are providing a home away from home. Wendy's breakfasts and treats are worth the trip anytime. The room are clean and in impeccable shape. Many things to do and stunning views from each room and terrace.

This Beautiful Bed and Breakfast gave us a chance to get close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg so we could enjoy the excitement, but fair enough away to escape the madness! The Innkeepers, Wendy and Tom are delightful and extremely accommodating. The day started with a lovely breakfast - delicious food and delightful conversation, including coffee on the deck with a breathtaking view of the mountains. We explored during the day and returned at night to a tasty dessert and quiet conversation back on the deck watching fireworks over Dollywood in the distance. We recommend this B & B to travelers seeking a Scottish refuge in the charming countryside amongst the busy Tennessee tourist attractions and majestic smoky mountains!
5 on July 14, 2014
This bed-and-breakfast was the highlight of our vacation. The home is beautiful the food is delicious and the innkeepers were so friendly. We will never stay in a hotel again when visiting Dollywood area.

A Lovely Inn with a Scottish theme. Views from the porch are breathtaking. Over looking the ridges of the Smokey Mountains, you can see from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Seviersville, Tenn.. Our Hosts Tom and Wendy Lynde, give Braeside Inn the warmth that is felt there. Breakfast was Awesome and Unique, leaving one satisfied for hours. We will be returning there again and again! How lucky we were to have stayed at Braeside Inn. Tom & Wendy were wonderful hosts. Our four day visit could not have been better. The food was excellent, the accommodations wonderful, the atmosphere great. Loved sitting on the porch reading, enjoying the views and playing with the cats. I know we will return again.

This was our third stay with Wendy and Tom. Once Wendy opens the front door when you arrive you know everything is good. Inn was spotless and the food was delicious. After you settle in the first place you will go is the large porch with rocking chairs overlooking the valley. You may not want to leave. The entire experience was excellent and will deffinately return.

What a great place to stay! We we're fortunate to grab a room at the last minute! The house is amazing, with beautiful views and great food. Short getaway from our work in Knoxville. My husband and I absolutely fell in love with the place, the service, and Wendy and Tom. You have a place that is peaceful, private, and has a family atmosphere. Wendy and Tom treat you like family. It has a touch of Scottish heritage which is dear to our hearts! We hope to return again, and we will recommend Braeside Inn to other family and friends.

This was our fifth year visiting the Inn and it has been perfect all five years. Wendy and Tom have become friends not just in keepers. I recommend staying there very highly. When we visit the Smokey Montanans we stay nowhere else. It is a jewel in the midst of the forests.

This is what we received at this Scottish themed B&B from our hosts Wendy and Tom. Braeside is truly a bit of the old world in the middle of the magnificent highlands of East Tennessee. Each morning and evening we marveled at the ever changing panorama of sky and mountains from our room and from the spacious porch as we had morning coffee or afternoon treats. Our room was nicely appointed and very comfortable with a view of the mountains , and we enjoyed the spacious lounge in the evening with our friends. But, the best part was waking up to a lovingly prepared breakfast, which was a feast for the eye as well as the palate. Thank you Wendy and Tom. We are already planning our next trip to this tranquil bit of the Smokey mountains for further adventures in Sevierville.

Braeside Inn was the 'perfect B and B - lovely location and views towards the Smokies. Very nice room, well appointed and comfortable. The Inn was beautifully kept and the rooms spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were delicious as were the evening desserts that Wendy left out for us. Wendy and Tom provided excellent information and recommendations of 'things to do' in the area. We loved our stay here!
5 on August 25, 2013
Our recent stay at Braeside Inn was a wonderful experience. It's location allowed us to appreciate the Smokies, the accommodation was first class (especially all the Scottish nick - nacks) while the breakfasts were delicious and beautifully-presented. Tom and Wendy were excellent hosts and we quickly felt as though we had been friends for ages! They were helpful with local information too, making our visit more enjoyable.
5 on July 26, 2013
The cleanliness of this B&B far surpassed what I expected, the food was wonderful and beautifully served (along with afternoon & night snacks/desserts) and you could not ask for better host & hostess.....OUTSTANDING in every way!

This was our first visit to The Smokies and although we had seen the photos of the Braeside B&B on their website, they didn't do justice to the reality. Tom & Wendy are excellent hosts and the accommodation is definitely 5 Star Plus.Within 5 minutes of meeting our hosts we felt as though we had known them forever, that's how comfortable we were made to feel. And the food was superb! Wendy is an excellent cook and set us up for the day with fabulous breakfasts. This trip was part of our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebration and our choice could not have been better. We even purchased a beautiful wooden box, expertly hand carved by Tom, as a memento of our stay. We have stayed at many 5-star establishments all over the world and would certainly class The Braeside B&B among the best of these.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and couldn't have been more pleased. I made the reservation sort of last minute and only had a babysitter for one night, but after I explained my situation to Wendy, she made an exception and allowed us to book the room for one night instead of the minimum of two. The breakfast was traditional fare with a touch of Scottish taste. I can absolutely guarantee that my wife and I will stay here again.

This inn, situated on the hill overlooking the valley was so peaceful and relaxing. Sitting outside on the veranda, a glass of wine, some really fabulous munchies and just "kicking back". And their coffee and breakfast was just fabulous! The perfect getaway with comfortable beds in the Smokies !!

My husband Mark and I (Michelle) were entering into a second marriage and wanted to elope. Wendy and Tom were so accomodating as we said our vows on the spacious back porch with a beautiful country view. We so enjoyed the wonderful weekend and hospitality of the Braeside. It holds a pecial place for us and we were the first wedding. The food is wonderful, the decor is comforting, and Wendy and Tom are salt of the Earth people. You will not regret your stay.
5 on November 20, 2012
We have stayed at the Braeside many times throughout the years. Never once have we been disappointed, and we will never want to stay at another b & b again. They set the bar for hospitality, and no other b & b will ever come close. If you are thinking about staying, make the reservation; you will never regret the time you spent at the Braeside, and the time spent getting to know Tom and Wendy.

We have stayed at this B&B several times in the last few years. It is so very comforting to know exactly what to expect each time -- wonderful hosts, great accommodations, awesome food, and a spectacular view. I always leave refreshed, relaxed . . . and full of good food!

The Braeside in is just like a little piece of heaven tucked away, a must see for everyone! Tom and Wendy are by far the best we have come across, they handle every detail for you and let you enjoy the warmth and charm of this beautiful inn, from the moment you arrive they make you feel as if your old friends returning for a long needed visit. When entering breakfast in the morning, your mouth will water at the fabulous and wonderful delights before you. Evening will leave you wondering what tasteful treats she will have waiting! The room are outstanding and the view...well what more could you ask for! Can't wait to plan our next trip back and enjoy the magic and serentiy all over again. Thank you Braeside! A WONDERFUL HIDDEN TREASURE .

You feel the magic as soon as you drive up to the Braeside Inn. The Inn is cozy, the views are spectacular, and the food is delectable. Everything is sparkling clean. There are so many special touches throughout the inn, and you get to experience a bit of Scottish culture. Tom and Wendy are amazing hosts and treat you as though you are an old family friend. Wendy's nightly desserts are the best. My life seemed a little richer after crossing paths with this dear, witty, kind couple. This was a perfect location to reconnect with a dear friend. I can't wait to return for a second visit. Experience the magic...

You must visit The Braeside Inn ASAP! Tom and Wendy are fantastic innkeepers. They have thought of every detail to make your stay perfect, and they are very warm and inviting. It's the little things that make this place so great, like being greeted by name on our way back in from a day out and about, having Tom remember every morning that I like a glass of water with my coffee, and yummy treats always out on the counter waiting for us. My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs, but this was by far the best one, because of the personal atmosphere. Delicious breakfasts and desserts, immaculately clean, gorgeous view, and excellent conversation and recommendations from Tom and Wendy. Braeside is close to all the attractions, hiking, and outdoor adventures. However, our favorite thing to do was sit by the fire in the den or rock on the porch enjoying the view. We were very well taken care of, and we are definitely going back!

Braeside was a beautiful weekend escape. We loved every minute of our stay. The food was out-of-this-world! The view was breathtaking, and the innkeepers, Wendy and Tom, were beyond amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend Braeside Inn.

This place is wonderful. An entire floor for BB guests with lovely rooms, great living room and a porch, which we spent many hours on. We watched the birds, looked at mountains, listened to the interesting stories told by Wendy and Tom, and we enjoyed it all. A separate section and great THANKS to Wendy and Tom for their fantastic breakfast. Whauww that was an experience we still have not forgotten. We tried to eat it all - we really wanted to - but the servings were very generous. Our very best recommendation to everyone and we would be happy to go back!
5 on July 02, 2012
Our goal was to get into the Smoky Mountain National Park area for the night for our annual anniversary hike. However, the ambiance of the inn, the setting, the food, and the hospitality at Braeside made it rather than our hike, the highlight of the get-a-away. Our only regret is that we could not make time to spend another delightful evening sitting on the veranda overlooking the valley. To say that the Braeside exceeded our expectations is to put it mildly!

We had a wonderful visit, lovely as the first! Thanks for the warm hospitality, great food and sharing your amazing view with us for the weekend. We hope to NOT wait 2 years before our return this time! Thanks again Tom and Wendy - you are wonderful hosts. We've stayed at several B&B's through the years and this ranks in the top!

My husband Jon and I were sitting around on Friday and decided that we wanted to go to a B&B!!! We did some searching and came upon Braeside Inn. We knew right away that this was it!!! We were so right!!! While at Braeside the hospitality was exceptional!! You truly felt as if you were at home!! The treats and breakfast were delicious and Tom and Wendy made us feel a part of there family!! We loved their stories of how it all came to be and of the Corrie Doon!!! It truly felt as if we had discovered a little piece of Scotland right here in TN!!!! 5 stars all the way!!!

My husband poured over the internet to find the perfect place to spend our 10 year anniversary and boy did he hit the jackpot! I was admittedly nervous about a B&B being that we'd never stayed at one before but my goodness what an amazing experience! The room was beautiful, the house itself was immaculate, the full porch along the back was the perfect place to start and end our day watching the sun rise and set with a gorgeous view of Smokies. As a budding bird enthusiast I was in heaven watching all the birds play in their beautifully landscaped surroundings. The best part of the stay of course was Wendy and Tom, such sweet hosts and don't even start me on the food - YUM! We loved that everything we wanted to do was with in minutes of the Inn (and could take less traveled back roads) yet we felt completely removed from the hubbub of town. It was perfect!

Oh...WOW!!! This is an incredible place to stay. We have stayed in the area before, but we were too close to the main attractions or too far in the trees to really appreciate the beauty of the Smoky Mountains. The view from the rooms and the deck offer incredible vistas of the mountains as well as colorful birds. The breakfast and evening desserts are out of this world. Wendy and Tom have worked hard to provide an environment for rest, relaxation, and peace. They are very knowledgeable about the area and can give you directions and advice to almost any type of activity you seek. Our room was spotless and every detail was beautifully attended to. As with any B&B, the walls are not 100% sound proof. We had great fellow guests who were quiet and courteous. I bring this up not as a negative for this B&B but encouragement for every guest to do their part in making the stay pleasant for everyone. Thank you, Wendy and Tom, for your service and hospitality!

We were looking for a quiet place to get away for the weekend and enjoy the mountain view and found that and more in the Braeside Inn. Tom and Wendy are wonderful hosts and know exactly how to make you feel at home in their home. Breakfast was delicious, the flower garden and decor of their home is so peaceful. Oh, and the afternoon cookies are to die for! Thank you Tom and Wendy for making our weekend a relaxing one. Paul & Nancy Mooresville, IN

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Wendy and Tom, owners of Braeside Inn. We chose their B&B primarliy because of the view and the nearness of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From the moment we met Wendy and Tom, we knew we were in the right place! Their restaurant recommendations were spot-on. The room was so comfortable and inviting, as were the public parts of the home. The 180 degree view from the deck was as spectacular as the photos show. Wendy's breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. Wendy and Tom are open and friendly and it didn't take long before we felt we'd known them a long time. It was a marvelous vacation!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Braemont in for 3 days in March. We had researched a lot of the B&B's in the area, and decided on this one based on the good reviews and beautiful pictures of the estate. The Braemont sits upon a hill, providing a direct view of the Smokeys that will blow your mind. We stayed in the McIntosh suite, which was absolutely gorgeous - massage bathtub, large bathroom and large, luxurious room with everything beautifully kept. From the instant we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Tom and Wendy. Being a young couple, sometimes we expect to be treated as such in certain situations, but Tom and Wendy were the most adorable, caring, helpful, and awesome couple that could possibly run a B&B. They gave us tips on where to go to hike, dinner recommendations, and gave us muffins to take with on our hike. Basically, you could not imagine a more perfect spot to stay in the Smokeys.

My husband and I stayed at Braeside Inn as a belated wedding honeymoon. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. My husband was a little aprehensive but I loved the idea. Immediately after we pulled into the drive he was at ease and I was in love. The views were magnificant, the entire Inn is surrounded by the Smoky Mountains. Tom and Wendy were very friendly and we instantly formed a friendship. My husband enjoyed visiting with Tom about woodworking. The Inn was very comfortable, clean and we had plenty of privacy. We felt we had found a piece of heaven in the Smoky's. We look forward to going back and will definately suggest Braeside Inn to all!

Spent a fantastic long New Year's weekend at Braeside Inn and the Smoky Mountain National park. The commercial chaos of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are a mere frontdrop to the astounding views from the Inn's broad porch of the mountains. We hiked three days, fueled by a sumptuous, healthy breakfast . The Inn is charming, and the hosts are helpful and knowledgeable, and winter hiking was great fun.

It's the perfect location for visiting the mountains, shopping the local artist's community, and a variety of other activites. We hope to return often to enjoy the delighful hospitality. Jim & Alice

Braeside Inn is the perfect blend of beautiful, impeccable accommodations, outstanding views, delicious breakfasts, and gracious hosts, Tom and Wendy. You don't have to be of Scottish heritage to appreciate and enjoy the Braeside Inn. The innkeepers were wonderful and the accommodations made us feel very comfortable. We would highly recommend a stay here.

I loved my time at this B&B. Braeside is a beautifully kept home and grounds, but the best part of a stay are the lovely innkeepers Tom and Wendy. They are genuinely friendly, attentive, and make you feel like part of their extended family. The breakfasts were top notch and absolutely delicious! The panoramic view of the Smoky mountains, and the big sky around those mountains, was breathtaking. I hope to return again, and will absolutely look forward to that stay.

The Braeside Inn If you are lucky enough to stay at The Braeside, you are simply lucky enough. I have stayed at many wonderful bed and breakfasts in our country AND in Scotland, and this is my absolute favorite. From the moment you drive up the brae to their front door and step inside, you are treated to such warmth and comfort, trust me, you will not want to leave. Tom and Wendy Lynde, the innkeepers, are a true delight. Wendy, raised in Scotland, has her beautiful Scottish lilt and desire to make you feel welcome. When touring Scotland, we were struck again and again at how the Scots want to make you feel at home. Wendy is no exception, and she has seen to every detail in her home to insure your comfort. And Tom is right by her side, tending to your needs and at the ready with a story or two. The two together make a wonderful team, from the delicious breakfasts in the morning to the sweet little desserts at night. Wendy is a wonderful cook, and you are treated to different delights every morning, beautifully presented. You will feel very, very spoiled. There are three bedrooms (aptly named for Scottish Clans), and all have gorgeous views and fireplaces and special tubs. The beds are oh-so-comfy and the room is beautifully decorated. There is a small tv, but it is hidden away if you prefer not to turn it on. One rainy afternoon, I simply curled up in bed with the “marshmallow” comforter, turned on the fire, and read and lazed away. It was sheer bliss. There is also an extremely inviting sitting room, with a fireplace, soft lighting, and books and Scottish treasures (which Tom will tell you Wendy has been collecting for years and years just for this moment)! It is all so very warm and cozy, and you must definitely spend some time here.

My wife and I returned to Braeside, which is where we spent our honeymoon one year ago. As before, Tom and Wendy were wonderful hosts. They made our stay as pleasant as possible. The room (Mackintosh) and the Inn are first rate, and the breakfast was delicious! Return trips to Braeside is definitely in our plans. Steve & Susan

My husband and I recently returned to Braeside and had a wonderful, relaxing time. We were honestly a little worried that our second visit there could not possibly compare to the perfect time we had before, but every detail was consistently fantastic. Wendy and Tom are the best hosts, and they have created such a peaceful spot to get away and unwind. Although the location is convenient for many area activities from shopping to hiking, when you return to a rocking chair on Braeside's veranda you feel totally away from the outside world. We enjoy traveling and have experienced many B&B's. For us, Braeside is the perfect combination of warm hosts, great location for activities, beautiful scenery, clean comfortable rooms, and delicious food at a hilltop haven where we know we'll be able to de-stress and recharge. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I spent two nights at the Braeside Inn and could not be more pleased. In my opinion, this is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a different experience than staying at a motel. The house and location are beautiful and Tom and Wendy are very nice and extremely helpful with suggestions and directions about area attractions. The food is delicious and Wendy is so creative with the decor and her fresh flower arrangements. The house is immaculate and smells fresh. Not even a single piece of fringe on the living room rug was out of place! The room was homey and comfortable. The bed linens were of high quality and the towels were soft with a wonderful fresh smell. You cannot go wrong with a stay at the Braeside Inn! Mike and Jana from Indiana

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The inn keepers Tom and Wendy are great folks and provided everything we needed to make our stay memorable. The deck and views are fantastic, food was great, everything sparkling clean. Located at the top of a hill, easy to get to, quiet and peaceful. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

"Everthing" would be the key word we would use to describe what we liked best, about our stay!!! The view, food, and the home were awesome! Tom and Wendy treated us like family, we feel we are a part of a Scottish clan now! This morning at home, we missed the beautiful table settings, wonderful food "Scottish Grace" and new friends!! We will be back as soon as we can "Get Away" again!!!

This is the third time we have stayed at Braeside. It is wonderful and the best thing about it now is that we know it is going to be great every time. No anxiety or worries about our choice. We will go again.

Lovely place, wonderful hosts, beautiful location and delicious food! Our room was simple, yet elegant in our little piece of Scotland in the Smokeys and the view was spectacular. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet and beautiful place to stay, but it is just minutes from all you would want to see and do in the area as well. Tom and Wendy were delightful hosts and attended to our every need. Breakfast and evening baked goodies were yummy!

This is the perfect place for those visiting the Smoky Mts. National Park area who want to escape the hubbub of Gatlinburg. Tom and Wendy are gracious, helpful hosts, and the breakfasts and homemade cookies were delicious. The Scottish decor is tasteful and comfortable, something we appreciated, as we find the decor of too many B&Bs to be overly fussy and too fru fru. Access to the Park, Dollywood, and Gatlinburg, via a back road that Tom & Wendy directed us to, is very quick and convenient. After a day of hiking & exploring, Braeside was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view from the porch. You can't go wrong with Braeside Inn.

Another great trip. There is no better place anywhere to celebrate a special occasion. We will continue to rerurn again and again.
5 on July 05, 2011
It was the perfect place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our children. We had the entire inn. The hospitality, food, comfort, and views are outstanding. We are very picky about where we stay, and it is so clean. Tom and Wendy are friendly and easy to get to know. We feel like we've known them forever. It was our second stay there, and just like the first time, it was a great experience.

My husband and I celebrated our 28th anniversary at the Braeside Inn and it has everything we look for in a B&B. The view is amazing and the serenity is a welcome change from our hectic schedule. The location is convenient to local restaurants. Tom & Wendy helped us with directions to avoid the traffic jams. The food was delicious and Wendy even served our favorite dessert - strawberry rhubarb crumble. We were made to feel at home and we plan to return.

My family recently visited Braeside Inn to celebrate our parents' 50th anniversary. My husband and I have stayed in a lot of B & B's but Braeside was by far at the top of the list. The room and amenities (especially the views) were amazing, the innkeepers were delightful, and the food was to die for. Tom and Wendy even provided celebratory touches for Mom and Dad. You can't go wrong at Braeside.

My wife and I recently spent the weekend at Braeside and we had a wonderful trip. The weather was very poor but with the warm hospitality and great views and comfort at the Inn our vacation was very relaxing. Tom and Wendy are very attentive and fantastic innkeepers. The breakfasts were the highlight of our stay, far better than what may be available in the area especially if like european fare. If you are in the area there is nowhere that can offer what they can, the pictures don't really do it justice.

My husband Ruben and I were on house hunting tour with our son-in-law Bryan, which took us to Sevierville this week. Tom is a High School Classmate of mine, and we had not seen each other since our graduation 50 years ago! Our stay with Tom and his wife Wendy at the Braeside Inn B&B was a most delightful experience. The Inn is lovely, peaceful, with beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains. All our needs were provided for, and then some! Then of course we had a wonderful time catching up on our lives through the years. A definite must for someone seeking a restful getaway!
5 on June 14, 2011
Its so wonderful to wake up in the morning with freshly brewed coffee and tea, take one of the handcrafted braeside mugs and sit comfortably on the beautiful porch admiring the amazing view of the blueish smokys as well as all the colorful birds (even humming birds) flying onto the porch and singing their tunes. The breakfast was delicious - the best we had in any B&B! Tom and Wendy are excellent hosts!
5 on June 06, 2011
From the second we arrived at the Inn, we were shown what a B&B should be. Tom and Wendy made everything possible to make this trip One you always will remember. The room was spacious, really great decorated and a view to die for. It also helped having the room with the jacuzzi, so at the end of a day of hiking it felt so good to relax your muscles. I don't know what the best thing was on this trip since everything was so wonderful but there were two things that I loved and I do miss now... Breakfast and nightly sweets. Yummo. Just getting the whole Inn together for an outstanding and daily changing Breakfast was so amazing. Thank you Wendy and Tom for this great time we had. We will return for sure.

Wendy and Tom own a fabulous B&B high on a hill with a spectular view of the Smokies. They truly "wow'd" us. It was the highlight of our entire trip through 4 states. The host are so kind that you cannot help feeling their warmth and kindness. We would highly recommend this to anyone who likes to stay in B&B's....we don't care for the "tourist trap" places in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg...this is close if you want that, but if you want to avoid...IT IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY!

I'm an expatriot from Scotland and when looking for a B & B in the Smokies I was attracted to the Scottish tone of the advert on this website, we totally satisfied with the place, decor, food and the innkeepers Tom and Wendy who were most hospitable to us and it is our hope to visit again in the future. Every year my husband and I stay at a B&B for our anniversary. This year, Braeside Inn topped the charts! We loved staying with Tom and Wendy and couldn't be happier with the room, service and wonderful breakfast! Their Scottish B&B nestled in the mountains made for the perfect romantic getaway. I highly recommend Braeside and look forward to future stays!

We could not have been happier with our stay at the beautiful Braeside Inn! We arrived late on Wednesday evening and the owners were more than accomodating! There were cookies and drinks ready for our snacking! The room was so warm and inviting with a fireplace, therapy tub, and wonderful Scottish decor! Waking up the next morning we were overwhelmed with the view that we weren't able to see the night before! It was absolutely breathtaking! We enjoyed the huge deck as we savored the stunning view! Breakfast was unbelivable! I have never had that big of a breakfast in my life! We had poached pears with greek yogurt, friendship bread and a pastry twill. I thought that was the the end, but then came another course! A delicious egg dish with homemade wheat bread and sausage. We loved it so much that I purchased 2 of her cookbooks! The Lyndes go out of their way to give you a wonderful, memorable stay and we will be back! The McCullys

We stayed at the Inn for our anniversary in May and it was beautiful. Tom and Wendy made us feel very welcome in their home. The food was wonderful, and I love that Wendy uses items from her garden as often as she can! Nothing beats "home grown!" We hope to return again soon (I was on here checking dates and realized I hadn't posted a review when I'd meant to!) We've stayed at numerous other B&B's and this met and exceeded all our desires!

Our 8 day visit to the Braeside was a promised retirement vacation to capture the autumn leaf change in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From the first time we viewed the Braeside website, we knew this was the bed and breakfast where we wanted to stay. We found the pictures and descriptions to be accurate representations of our Braeside experience. Tom and Wendy were gracious, attentive, and focused on making our stay a memorable one. In particular, we enjoyed the breakfasts and, on our return each evening, the homemade bread or pastry. The sunrises and sunsets from the upper deck were amazing. Sevierville, Gatlinburg, and the Smokys were within easy driving distance. We loved our stay at the Braeside and hope to return again.

We just finished our second stay at the Braeside Inn and it was every bit as nice as our first time. We have stayed at many bed & breakfasts over the last ten years and theirs is tops on our list. Tom & Wendy are so friendly and willing to help out in any way they can, the rooms are immaculate and the overall ambience of the inn is so comfortable and warm. We will definitely visit again during our travels to the Smokey Mountains!

My husband and I recently returned from a 4 night stay at Braeside Inn. We're so glad we decided to stay in a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg. The breakfasts were delicious and sustained us through a day of hiking each day of our stay. We weren't hungry again until dinner. Each evening we returned to an inviting, clean and comfortable room and homemade snacks left for us in the kitchen. There is also a small guest refrigerator in the kitchen stocked with bottled water and sodas. Each morning, Tom and Wendy helped us with directions and recommendations when requested. Our favorite hike was in the Greenbrier area, which they recommended as a less crowded trail. We highly recommend the Braeside Inn! : )

We booked for two nights at the Inn's MacIntosh Room. After being on the road for three weeks, it was a home from home. So clean, friendly, relaxing, and totally enjoyable. Loved the Scottish touches, various tartans, ribbons, wooden bears, hedgehogs here and there. The two cats were divine. Hosts Wendy and Tom gracious and accommodating in every way. Food by both Teams A and B delicious! We would LOVE to come back. Thanks Wendy and Tom!

My husband and I took a short trip up to Tennessee in September for my birthday, and decided to stay at the Braeside Inn. Needless to say, it was a great decision! It was so close to downtown Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. And only about 30 minutes from Knoxville! While staying in the Inn it was easy to forget you were so close to everything, as it was very quiet and secluded. The view was incredible, as was the hospitality provided by Tom & Wendy! We had delicious breakfasts and the Inn was super clean and organized. They even provided special treats for me on my birthday! We felt right at home. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone!! My husband and I have stayed in a number of Bed & Breakfast Inns over the years. Rarely have we enjoyed the complete experience as much as this weekend at Braeside Inn in Sevierville, TN. The innkeepers were outstanding. Wendy and Tom are so friendly and gave us excellent directions each morning before we started our day. The panoramic views from the porch were incomparable. The inn was very clean, and the food was the best. Wendy is from Scotland and we just loved to listen to her talk. Sunday morning when we left, I felt like we were leaving a weekend with old friends. We will definitely go back to stay with them again.

This being my first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast made the experience a very memorable and good one. One never knows exactly what to expect if they have never done this before but after staying at the Braeside Inn I would recommend this over a hotel or log cabin just for the unique experience. The views were beautiful and the Inn was quaint and comfortable. Tom and Wendy were delightful to meet and were excellent hosts. We will be back and next time for a much longer trip!

This is the second time we've stayed at the Braeside Inn . . . and as I said in my first review of our first visit, it won't be our last. The views are breathtaking. I do not miss the morning sunrise or evening sunset, if I can help it. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, very clean, and well-appointed. Tom and Wendy are the most gracious hosts ever. We stay at Bed and Breakfasts frequently when we vacation and their attention to detail is unmatched. They are kind, hospitable, knowledgeable, helpful, always anticipating how they can best serve you; and, they get it right, every time! The dining experience is a feast for the eyes as well as the body. The food is prepared well and so delicious. We consider it a home away from home when we are in that part of TN. Thank you Tom and Wendy for your lovely dedication to your guest. We were well cared for. We will be back!

I had searched and searched the internet for a bed and breakfast. My husband and I wanted to do an overnight stay just to getaway, and we had never experienced a bed and breakfast and really wanted to. This was the best choice we made! Our stay was fantastic! Tom and Wendy are fantastic!

We attended a wedding in Gatlinburg and decided to stay at the Braeside to be removed from all the traffic and tourists. This was the PERFECT spot and close to all the things we ventured out to do, including hiking to Clingman's Dome. The innkeeper, Wendy, gave us directions after feeding us a fabulous meal. We plan to go back. The service, cleanliness, food quality and hospitality was just stupendous.

What a wonderful stop in the Smokey Mountain area! Superb hosts, delightful decorations, warmth surrounds you everywhere. You won't find many B&B's that top this one. Be sure to check out the many custom wood pieces, many of which are for sale, that our host, Tom, made in his workshop! Looking forward to a return visit.

We just spent our honeymoon at the Braeside Inn and could not have had a better experience. The innkeepers (Tom & Wendy) were wonderful, and each day's breakfast was outstanding! We stayed in the Mackintosh Suite which has a wonderful view, is a large room, and has nice amenities such as double sinks and a spa tub. The daily breakfas...t deserves a special mention. The presentation was elegant, and the food was delicious. It was so filling that we would often skip lunch. When my wife happened to mention that I don't care much for eggs, Wendy tried some new recipes that didn't include eggs. Did I mention that they were delicious?! The location of the inn makes it easy to explore around the Smokies, visit nearby Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, and at the end of the day provides a quiet respite from the crowds and traffic . Tom & Wendy gave good advice regarding local restaurants, as well as things to do and see. They are also wonderful conversationalists. We had never stayed at a B&B before, but it made for a perfect honeymoon experience! We will definitely return to Braeside in the future.

We had a most enjoyable 3-day stay at the Braeside Inn in August 2010. Wendy and Tom were perfect hosts. The inn was the cleanest of the clean and very peaceful and relaxing! Our breakfasts were prepared and presented exquisitely and we had so much to eat in the mornings, we ended up skipping lunch. After a dinner out, we looked forward to the snack Wendy had waiting for us each evening. All very good and the apple dumplings were to die for! Although the weather was very hot during our stay, we were still able to enjoy the wonderful views and quiet on the porch each morning. We look forward to visiting the Braeside again - you can't go wrong staying here!

This bed and breakfast is one of the best I have experienced. Room was clean and comfortable, and the common rooms are cozy and inviting. The food was tasty, with afternoon cookies or sweets offered. This is about a 30 min drive from GSM National Park, so we were away from the traffic and congestion of Gatlinburg. The innkeepers offered terrific pre-trip advice regarding restaurants, hikes, and massages. Will stay here again if we get back to the area.

THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT AT A BED & BREAKFAST & WE LOVED IT. WENDY WAS A DELIGHT TO BE AROUND. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, VIEW WAS MAGNIFICENT & SO CONVENIENT (COULD BE IN PIGEON FORGE IN 5 MINUTES). WE WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN. JOHN & SONYA

We have stayed at the Braeside Inn twice now and both times it was absolutely lovely. Tom and Wendy are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and the food is fantastic! Everything is so clean and the amenities are updated. The view from our room and the porch is breathtaking.
5 on July 25, 2010
This was our first trip to the area and friends had warned us that it might be a bit touristy. The Inn is on a lovely piece of property with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains from a spacious deck overlooking the property. It was quiet but still had easy access to the national park as well as all the other sights in the area. The hosts were wonderful, and even arranged for in-room massages for us. Breakfasts were unhurried, fresh, delicious and elegant. This was a beautiful B&B.
5 on July 22, 2010
We have stayed at many B&B's over the years but we believe the Braeside Inn ranks at the top. Wendy and Tom are gracious hosts and make you feel welcomed and relaxed. Everything is spotlessly clean. The bed is so comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The views of the mountains from the porch are like a beautiful postcard. We would highly recommend this Inn to everyone who enjoys a stay with high quality standards. Like others have stated, it is like a home away from home. That would be our only place to stay if we are visiting the area.

Home away from home... Tom and Wendy are among the most hospitable people my wife and I have ever met. We vacationed at Braeside Inn for our honeymoon and could not have asked for more. Greeted with a romance package of a tray of chocolate covered strawberries and apple cider we were instantly impressed. The breakfasts were both filling and delightful start to the morning including fresh fruit and homemade recipes. Location was also key, secluded enough away from major traffic and congestion, yet close enough to great restaurants and all attractions. The view was superb. Simply put, we will be returning for many years and anniversaries to come.

Everything about our stay at Braeside was superb. The Inn is luxurious without being stuffy. We felt right at home. Wendy and Tom truly have a gift for anticipating needs and providing in such a warm and gracious way--always helpful and available, but never intrusive. The views from our room (the MacIntosh) and the deck were unbelievable, but it is definitely the hospitality that makes Braeside such a great get-away. Delicious breakfasts and scrumptious desserts! Can't wait till we can come back.

Wendy and Tom were gracious hosts. They had the most decadent chocolate cake waiting for us when wwe checked in. Wendy and I were able to talk about Scotland - I have an Aunt from Ayr. She knew I like real tea and brought out the good stuff the next morning with my own tea cozy and milk. Tom and Wendy served an amazing breakfast of pancakes with rhubarb strawberry syrup. For the faint of heart there was plain old maple. They helped us so much we had just suffered a tragic loss of our daughter and we needed a serene place to breathe. Just Breathe. Thanks so much for everything. Brian and Janet

Wendy and Tom make this place special, they are not just good inn keepers but also warm human beings. We recently stayed at the Braeside Inn for 5 nights. All of the superlative reviews we had read before arriving were absolutely accurate! What a wonderful oasis in East Tennessee! The room was well appointed, and the overall property was lovely. Our favorite spot was on the deck which afforded an expansive view of the beautiful Smoky Mountain range. The preparation and presentation of breakfast was magnificent... the best we've had at any B&B. Tom and Wendy are warm and welcoming hosts, going beyond breakfast to provide afternoon cookies and treats, as well as bread, peanut butter, jelly and granola bars for a hike lunch. Their knowledge of the Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park and the surrounding area is extensive and we received invaluable advice from them, as well as the use of hiking poles. We would absolutely stay here again if we were in the area, and would encourage our family and friends to do so as well.

We have stayed at Braeside on two separate occasions and we were more than pleased both times. The hosts are so welcoming and accomodating. Wendy asked us before our visit if there were certain foods we preferred and we told her about our certain likes and dislikes. She tailor-made our menu to perfection! The room was very spacious, clean, and well thought out. Wendy even had a jar of fresh-baked cookies for us whenever we needed a snack. The beautiful desserts in our room every night wer so delicious and romantic. Don't bother looking at other B&B's in the Gatlinburg area. This is the best one.

We stayed at the Mackintosh Suite and could not have been more impressed with the room, as well as the rest of the inn. We loved the fantastic view from our bedroom, as well as the thermal spa in the bathroom. The thing that stood out for us was the breakfast. First it was just nice to wake up and be greeted by the friendly innkeepers, Tom and Wendy. Then we were treated to the most delightful breakfast. We have stayed at some nice bed and breakfasts in the past but we have never been this well fed at breakfast. Tom and Wendy always had some delicious treats for us in the afternoon as well. Tom also started a fire for us at the coorie doon (I most definitely recommend checking it out). This is a wonderful inn and we will definitely be back in the future.

Tom and Wendy are wonderful hosts. Even if you stay at Bed &Breakfasts regularly this one should not be missed. The inn and grounds are beautiful with magnificent scenic views. If this is your first time to the Smokey Mountains, they will get you going in the right direction. Be sure to ask Wendy to show you the Coorie Doon, it was awesome.

We were amazed by the Great Smokies, surprised by Dollywood, but overwhelmed by the Braeside Inn - elegant home, cosy rooms (we loved the whirpool en-suite!), breath-taking views all day round, genuine empathic innkeepers ... and a breakfast that would satisfy not only the Gourmand but also the Gourmet. Wendy and Tom are among the most lovely people we have ever met. What a cheerful couple! They made us feel at home, and treated us not only as guests but as friends. If Servierville would not be thousands of miles away from our home (Stuttgart, Germany), we would come every year. This one of the most nicest places we have ever stayed. Very kind regards, Kathrin Berger and Boris Kuhnle

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Braeside Inn. We ere the only ones there for the first night and felt like we were at a luxurty hotel. Wendy & Tom are very welcoming and have a sixth sense about what you need and when you want to be left alone. Wendy is a fantastic cook. She hosted a small New Year's Eve party for guests as well as her neighbors, which was a lot of fun. Since the inn has three rooms you get to know the other guests easily.

Quiet beauty, majestic mountains, hedgehogs and soft music welcome you to come in. Great breakfasts and service, graded A and A+, with a scrumptious snack at night. So quiet you feel the need to whisper and let it encircle you. Drives through the mountains and rock slides galore, with not a bear in sight. But bunnies playing chicken in the driveway at night will stay in our memories as quite a wonderful sight. Good food, great people, a home away from home, that will be in our future as we make our future plans. We hold our memories close at hand to chase away the world and I now keep a hedgehog by the lamp that takes me back again. We had a wonderful time and have told all who would hear, as long as they don’t want the week we may want next year! Thank you for your hospitality. You are both an A+ team and have been a blessing to Steve and I. Best wishes. Steve and Sandy Seckman

We stayed at Braeside last in our 3 night tour of various Smokey Mtn B&Bs. Braeside is a wonderful B&B. The views from the backporch were amazing. Tom and Wendy did a great job welcoming us to their lovely establishment and we enjoyed our friendly chats through the course of our stay. We stayed in the Makintosh room which was large and offered a great view of Sevierville. The breakfast was elegant but not necessarily hearty. We would not hesitate to return in the future.

We had been to Alabama to visit friends and decided to take our time heading back north to home. We chose to stay at the Braeside Inn the first night of our continuing trip to Gatlinburg and we are SO glad we did. What a beautiful, immaculate home(and that's exactly how you feel, at home!) and breathtaking views of the Smokies. And, Tom and Wendy?, i can't say enough about our welcome there. They are very kind, funny and gracious hosts. In traveling back to the area one day, we will definitely stay again.

We recently returned from a 3 day stay at Braeside Inn. We stayed in the Mackintosh room which was so comfy. Wendy and Tom are wonderful hosts and made us feel at home. The Inn had a great view of the Smoky Mountains, from the room as well as the large porch. Breakfast was so delicious and the evening dessert was a treat. It was a short drive to the Smoky Mountains but far enough away from the traffic and congestion. We will definitely stay at Braeside Inn on our next trip to the Smokies.

Our first B&B experience was memorable. The view was fabulous, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the hosts very professional and pleasant. The location was great, just an easy drive to the Smoky Mountains.
5 on September 26, 2009
A Smoky Mountain panorama greeted us as we stepped out of our car at Braeside Inn. It took our breath away. That was a fitting introduction to out stay. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the food was great and the hospitality was outstanding. Tom and Wendy gave us tips and loaned us their hiking poles that helped us explore Smoky Mountain National Park. We've stayed at B&Bs in Hawaii, the Southwest and in the Midwest and this was one of the best. We hope to return one day.

We have only stayed at a BedandBreakfast one other time, and that was a quick overnight stay and early departure for a graduation. We had a wonderful experience at Braeside Inn. Everything was outstanding, from the room to the service and dining. The breakfasts were outstanding, the room was beautiful, and the cleanliness was most impressive. We normally stay at motels or hotels, and we have had some big disappointments in that category. I was totally comfortable with the cleanliness; and I'm very picky. My husband, who didn't think he would like staying at a B&B was totally satisfied, and is ready to go back. Wendy and Tom are great innkeepers. The location is beautiful, and we really enfoyed the other guests who were staying at the same time.

One of the best. Exceptional location. Tom and Wendy really great host. We feel that we have new friends.

This was our first B&B experience, and, as we told Tom ... "You set the bar extremely high for our next experience at a B&B." Beauty, cleanliness, great food, great hospitality, wonderfully delightful guests made our stay terrific. Thank you, Tom & Wendy! Rich and Connie

Braeside combines modern convenience with old world charm. We enjoyed the fabulous views, the superior food and our knowledgeable and welcoming hosts. Very well located, Braeside was an easy day trip away from the Biltmore Estates which we thoroughly enjoyed. We'd love to visit again.

My husband surprised me with a weekend get away to the Braeside Inn for our 10 year anniversary.... I so excited to say the least.. and was even more excited to arrive on Friday night .... Wendy met us at the door with Open Arms and welcomed us into their home ... I love the fact that it is a small 3 bedroom B&B.. it is a very cozy setting and allows the guest as well as Tom and Wendy to interact with each other and get to know one another ! We stayed in the Macintosh suite.. it had a magnificent view of the mountains ... the coffee at 7:30 AM on the back deck ... was GREAT ( and delicious too ) going out on the town and only a FEW short hours later coming back to house that smelled of a FRESH WARM PEACH COBBLER .... and our room picked up bed made ... and new fresh towels .. was great .. and for this we thank you ! We talked on the way home and decided we will be booking are next trip to Braeside real soon ! Not just to celebrate any special occasion .. but to visit our newest friends .. Tom and Wendy! Thank you both again for a wonderful weekend ! Your hospitality was and is greatly appreciated ! much love ! your new NC friends !

The Braeside Inn is the reason why we continue to choose b and b's over and over again. Tom and Wendy are exceptional hosts and helped make our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. No detail is overlooked here...it is simply fabulous.

We stayed at the Braeside Inn to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and found our first stay at a B&B to live up to our high expectations. Tom & Wendy made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The view from the back porch of the Great Smoky Mountains was fantastic. The old world Scottish atmosphere which drew us there was so charming.

We decided to spend our vatation inTN. after receiving an invitation to a family birthday party in Knoxville. We spent a week at the inn an it was a great week. We had morning coffee on the porch looking over the smokies. What a view!! We spent our evenings the same way. Windy and Tom were very accomendating anddid all they could to make our visit special. I loved the morning prayer. The most beautifully decorated inn that offered everything for the needs of guests. We do plan to visit again.

This was our third time staying at the Braeside Inn, and our first summer visit. As always, the view was superb, the food was great, and Wendy and Tom are fantastic hosts. We will def. be returning sometime for a 4th visit.

This is the most outstanding B+B we have ever been to. We brought our bikes and hiking gear but could only tear ourselves from the beautiful view for a 2 hour hike. Wendy and Tom are wonderfully engaging and somehow sensed when we wanted our privacy. Everything about the inn is gorgeous and the breakfast was incredible. We didn't even eat lunch most days! We will be back. -Leslie and Steve

Recently we spent our honeymoon at the Braeside Inn. From the moment we enter the Inn it was a wonderful experience. Breakfast was a favorite time of the day. The food was astonishing and it was great to visit with Tom and Wendy. They made us feel like family and the Inn was our home away from home. The Inn is amazing; from the breathtaking view from the porch to the beautiful design of the Inn. We can’t wait to make our way back!

We had never visited a B & B before, and since we hadn't done anything special for our anniversary in years, due to busy schedule with kids, I decided to find a cozy little get-away for my husband and I to celebrate our 22nd. What a treat to experience such a beautiful place "off the beaten path" but close enough to enjoy restaraunts and shopping if so desired. The inn was exquisitely furnished and perfectly spotless. The view from the back deck was breathtaking, and the pictures on the website don't do it justice. We so enjoyed sitting there watching the farmer on the field below stack hay bales all evening as well as the graceful hummingbirds feeding. Tom & Wendy definitely have a "gift" for hosting, and we felt like we had known them for years. The food was incredible as well as all the special touches they incorporate into making each indivdual feel welcome in their inn. We were just sorry we didn't have the opportunity to stay longer! If we can fit it in to our busy schedule (son will be playing college level soccer), we will be back in the fall to experience the beauty of the season and take in the breathtaking view from the back deck of the Braeside.

The rooms were immaculate and so cozy and inviting..and did I mention VERY CLEAN!! The views from the porch were amazing! And the gourmet breakfast was delicious!!! (So were the homemade desserts in the evening!) Tom and Wendy are such lovely people and very caring! After a ride through the main drag of Pigeon Forge, what a pleasant change to encamp at the Braeside Inn. From gracious and interesting innkeepers to the scrumptious breakfasts, we could have lived there happily ever after! We would certainly stay there again if our travels take us in that direction.

The Braesid Inn is the best hotel we had ever staied! Tom & Wendy are very thoughtful people. they made every detail in the house are unforgetable and momorable for my husband and I. Also, we have to point out that the breakfast is the most delicious breakfast we had ever had! it is not just has the wonderful flavor, but also it is an artefact. Moreover, the rooms are clearn, especially, every room we can see the Somky Mountain! all over were unexpections for us, hospitable of hosts, atmospheric of room and food and gorgeous of views, and I don't know what I can ask for more!

It took a while for me to convince my husband B&B's were the way to go. At the first one, years ago, I changed his mind. And every time, he'd say, you did it again. Well, THIS TIME, we were absolutely breathtakenly enthralled with the place, the views, the inn keepers, the food, the rooms, the ambience, the porch, the grounds. They just keep getting better, and this one was the best so far. When offered to take a brochure of the other B&B's in the area, all I could say was "why would I want any other"...I sure hope we can get back. We would stay a week, a month, 6 months if we could...thanks Zack for that "referral". Best wishes on your wedding this fall.

5 on May 10, 2009
My husband and I have stayed at several quality B&B's, and you won't find one better than the Braeside Inn. The location is ideal, the home is lovely, the food is fantastic, and (most importantly) Tom and Wendy are such genuine, warm and gracious hosts who make you feel so glad you came. Just read over all these happy guests' consistently positive reviews – it's all true! You get the best of both worlds: the beauty of nature with luxury amenities, and no detail is overlooked. Just imagine coming “home” after a day of gorgeous hiking to an immaculately-clean room with a bubble-jet tub, remote-controlled gas fireplace, and warm cookies. The mountain view from the porch rockers alone is worth the drive. Tom and Wendy really go out of their way to make each guest feel truly welcome and relaxed. While we'd love to keep this gem of a B&B our own little secret, you really do owe it to yourself to check this one out.

My husband and I were very disappointed that we only had one night to stay in this delightful B&B. It is a welcome alternative to the hustle and bustle of nearby Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg while still being in close proximity to Smoky Mountain National Park. The views are amazing and the hosts are warm and inviting. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends!

The location was perfect--just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge to be quiet and relaxing--but close enough to enjoy the shopping and nightlife. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. Tom & Wendy do a wonderful job of making you feel at home. We will be back and are encouraging our friends and family to visit.

My fiance and I stayed at Tom and Wendy's wonderful Inn for two nights, and can't wait to return in the spring! Perched up on top of a hill, the views are breathtaking, the rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely clean, and the hosts are more than gracious! The food is delicious - between Wendy's gourmet breakfast items and Tom's homemade bread, you start your day off on the right foot! Pray that you get poached pears - one of the best things I have ever tasted! Once you stay at Braeside, you won't want to stay anywhere else!

We stayed 3 nights at Wendy`s and Tom`s B&B and we enjoyed every day. The view from the balcony is marvellous. Wendy and Tom are perfect hosts and if I ever come back to Smokies from Germany I would definitely stay there again!

We have been to 9 B&B's from California to Cape May, Delaware. You will not find anything to top this. All accomodations are brand new but interior decorating is done with such love and care, you feel the coziness of a well loved B&B. The hosts are fabulous and go out of their way to accomodate in any way they can. Breakfasts are what I consider gourmet. It will be hard for you to find a combination like this anywhere. Endulge yourself!
5 on November 06, 2008
What can we say....one of the nicest B&B's we ever stayed in. Why do we say this? Was it for the value, the rooms, the breakfasts, the warmth and hospitality of Tom and Wendy, or the view, the view, the view. Yes to each and every one. Tom and Wendy worked with us as we couldn't stay for two consecutive nights and they were kind enough to modify their policy to allow us to stay one night on each leg of our trip south and then on the way home again. We'll return the first chance we get.
5 on November 02, 2008
We loved our stay at the Braeside Inn. Wendy and Tom offer warm hospitality, tremendous food and information on activities available in the area. The views are spectacular!

We stayed at Braeside Inn for 5 nights during the busy fall season in the Smokies. The innkeepers were incredible and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The online pictures does not do this B&B justice. It is beautifully decorated and the food was incredible, especially the evening treats.

I take pleasure in planning trips. When I saw the Braeside Inn online, I was excited by the pictures and all the information I found about the Inn and the owners. However, nothing could have prepared us for what awaited at the top of the hill when we arrived. All my expectations in the planning stage were stunningly exceeded as we rounded the corner at the top of the drive. It could not have been more perfect. The Inn is cozy, comfortable, clean, neat, and well-appointed. There are only three guest rooms so it can never be overrun with lots of people. Immediately upon entering, my husband and I felt at home. We spoke of the Inn as "home" the entire three days we were there. The panoramic views of the Smokey Mountains and pasture land were the most dramatic I have ever seen. They have created the perfect viewing location on the expansive back deck with plenty of rocking chairs. I got up 45 minutes before sunrise each day and made sure we were on the deck well before sunset and after so as not to miss the spectacular 'show'. The breakfasts are fantastic and the evening treats an absolute delight. All this warm hospitality flows naturally from the InnKeepers, who are completely dedicated to making your stay as pleasant and memorable as possible. They care and it shows in every detail. If you are looking for a truly restful, relaxing trip with views of which you'll never tire, food that is delicious, and a cozy, warm atmosphere, the Braeside Inn has it all! We will return and it can't be soon enough.

If you want to feel at home and be relaxed on your vacation this is the place for you. You could not find two nicer people than Tom and Wendy. They make your stay so enjoyable that you won't want to leave. The rooms are immaculate and the views from the Inn are breath taking. The breakfasts and nightly desserts were fabulous as well. My wife and I can't wait to go back and stay at the Braeside again!

This mountain paradise allowed my husband and I to relax and focus on one another. The inn was the perfect romantic getaway with wonderful innkeepers. For all of you bed and breakfast inn goers you know the innkeepers make or break the stay. Tom and Wendy go overboard to make you feel at home and bring a touch of Scotland to life for their guests. The balcony is a place next to heaven along with the breakfast and desserts. We loved having easy access to Pigeon Forge and since this was our second stay at Braeside Inn we would definitely recommend this inn to anyone. Jay and Meg Harrell, Huntsville, Alabama

Five of our ladies group desended on Tom And Wendy the last weekend of September. We felt welcomed at once. Fresh baked cookies and a gracious hostess greeted the travel wore group. We settled in our rooms and went out to explore the massive deck for the gorgeous view of the Smokies. Even with a slight drizzle of rain the view was wonderful. After unwinding a bit, we went out to dinner and a show. We came back in good spirits and after chatting we went to our comfortable beds and slept well. Breakfast was served by our gracious host and hostess. I loved drinking coffee out of the deck and watching the sky light up. Mount LeCont could be seen in the distance. Humming birds came to the feeder right in front of me. Flowers were blooming everywhere in the gardens. Tom ventured out to the herb garden and gathered herbs to use for breakfast. Breakfast was wonderful and we were ready to shop at the Artist Loop. A wonderful time was had by all.

This is my favorite of dozens of B&B in several countries, and it has some serious competition. The rooms were immaculate with lovely, homey touches without being so overdone you couldn't find a place to put a glass down. There is a fireplace and jetted tub in each room, and having them on a single level was wonderful for carrying luggage. The solitude and view are outstanding and relaxing. The food and hospitality was incomparable and my only complaint was that I couldn't stay longer!

Upon arrival at Braeside Inn, Innkeepers Tom and Wendy Lynde met us with open arms. The B&B is complete in every aspect of beauty, comfort, cleanliness, warmth, at-home atmosphere, superb décor, and awesome view of the Smokey Mountains. Wendy’s healthy gourmet breakfasts included fresh baked muffins and fruit breads and Tom’s whole-wheat bread- What a delight! Wendy’s evening dessert treats were a warm and delicious surprise. The view from the spacious front porch is breathtaking. Truly a quiet, restful place to leave work, worries and weariness behind. We enjoyed the interaction with Tom and Wendy, learning about their lives and their dream of owning a B&B in the Smokies. They also provided helpful information and recommendations for easier access and travel routes around town including entertainment to consider. Celebrating our golden wedding anniversary was made even more memorable by our experience at Braeside. Overall experience was accentuated by hospitality, comfort, cleanliness and ambience.

Our stay at Tom and Wendy's Inn was positively perfect which is a rarity these days. Many people opt to stay in a hotel near or in Gatlinburg and surrounding areas but it is far more convenient to drive away from the busy park and be welcomed at this charming, cozy Inn in Sevierville where you can unwind and enjoy the hospitality. The best way for me to descrivbe our experience is to say that I felt at home - and I can't imagine anything better than that! Between Wendy's keen eye for decor, Tom's flare in the kitchen, and an impecable panoramic view of the Smokies from our room, our experience was nothing short of unforgettable! We will be back...soon!

Wendy and Tom are wonderful hosts and welcome their guests like family. As others have said, the breakfasts and nighttime goodies were amazing! I skipped lunch both days. Braeside is located in a peaceful place well away from the busy Parkway, and the hosts had great suggestions on shortcuts and activities that would help me avoid the traffic. Still, when I wanted shopping or a quick dinner, they were only minutes away.

This very clean bed and breakfast is stylish and quaint all at the same time. It is nice and new feeling (built only 4 years ago - still looks brand new) and has spectacular views. The owners are warm and hospitable - perfect as innkeepers. The food was great as well - we were so full we ended up skipping lunch. My husband and I like to try new bed and breakfasts and finding wonderful spots like this is the reason why.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and at home. The inn is beautiful with the added bonus of being decorated for Christmas. Both Tom and Wendy were available to give suggestions for places to go that were off the beaten path. All of the breakfasts were wonderful and we even had hot chocolate and some traditional Scottish pastries one day while playing a game in the common room. We had an amazing 10th anniversary trip to the Braeside.

This was one of the most romantic vacation we have had since our honeymoon. Wendy and Tom are very hospitable hosts and provide the guests with a warm and cozy setting. They give great attention to detail in efforts to make the stay comfortable. Wendy makes the best breakfast which is served it in the most presentable manner. Fresh baked deserts and breads, yummy omelets, and perfect coffee are their specialties. This is highly recommended to all travellers going to gatlinburgh area.

Wendy and Tom, Thank you both for a great first stay at your Inn. We entered as strangers and left feeling like family. Your hospitality is warm and sincerely generous. Your Inn is beautiful and the view from the porch at sunset is fantastic. We look forward to our next stay and seeing you both again. Karen and Lee

The Braeside Inn is a peaceful haven with beautiful views. The rooms are tastefully decorated and immaculate. The breakfasts are delicious and a feast for the eyes as well. We felt very comfortable there. The innkeepers have thought of everything, and then some!

This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast, but it will not be our last stay at Braeside. Tom and Wendy Lynde are gracious host of a well planned, beautiful inn. It has it all - delicious food, emaculate rooms, serenity, amazing views.

Tom and Wendy were so inviting and made me feel right at home. The inn is so cozy and the views are amazing! Sitting on the deck in a rocking chair was how I enjoyed my mornings, evenings and nights. I will definitely be back.
