This 1837 Victorian farmhouse was attentively restored and opened as an Inn in 1983 and updated in 2010. Serene mountain views in the historic Sautee Valley provide a perfect setting for your relaxation. Located in a thriving art community, our guests enjoy museums, galleries, wineries, and outdoor activities. Spend your evenings in intimate restaurants, at the Sautee Nacoochee Center for drama, music or contra dancing, at local outdoor music venues, or in the Bavarian village of Helen. The ultimate activity is sitting on the wraparound porch taking in the valley and mountain views and sounds. Take a break from your everyday routine, and join us for a spiritual recharge in our place of quiet and simple pleasures.

Unfortunately we only spent one night, but found the hospitality and friendliness to be spectacular. Their home is clean, warm and inviting. We immediately felt welcome. The porches, the mountain views & the grounds provided such a wonderfully relaxing fall evening. There were 5 in our group so we had 3 of the upstairs rooms. All 3 of our rooms were lovely & very comfortable-wonderful King Sized beds & private bathrooms. Everyone especially loved the overhead windows that allowed you to fall asleep while gazing at the stars. We ate dinner in the restaurant (not incl in overnight booking) & were all incredibly pleased with the farm to table offerings that were superbly prepared. We sampled a diverse variety of unique offerings incl some of their superb desserts. Everything was homemade & exceptionally good. We were surprised at the extent of choices on the dinner menu from quail, shrimp, or stuffed trout to pork enchiladas w/black beans & rice. Their selection of fresh vegetables including ratatouille and pumpkin hummus was a surprising treat for two vegans in our group! Breakfast was included, made to order, & served on the lovely glassed porch overlooking Lynch Mountain. It was delicious. Both Lloyd and Johnna went out of their way to provide everything we needed & made this a truly wonderful & memorable experience. They shared some delightful tales and entertainment with us as we explored and lounged all around their home. I sincerely hope to be back again.

What a lovely getaway! We were so fortunate to stay here, near many wineries and close to Helen. We only spent one night, but thoroughly enjoyed the house's charm and friendliness of the owners. Our highlight was watching the sun set over the mountains and sharing wine in the yard on the swing. --We didn't dine or eat at this BnB, so we can't comment on the food.

The room was lovely. The place was quiet. The shared sleeping porch was amazing. There were friendly animals on the grounds. Breakfast was more than we expected. Can't wait to go back!

The Stovall House was a perfect place to stay. The view from the dining porch was amazing and perfect for viewing fall colors. Lloyd was gracious and so helpful when my car wouldn't start (he helped me find an open shop who would fix it)-- went way beyond the call of duty. The room was spacious and nicely fitted with antiques and vintage items. Loved everything about the place. I will go back every fall for sure, and other times as well. The Stowell House will be my go-to for North Georgia!

I loved everything about this place. We were greeted immediately on arrival and given a tour of the house. The house itself is a beautiful, historic space with gorgeous views from the porch. The room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. I can't wait to return!

We had a very pleasant one night stay at the Stovall House Inn. The rooms were adequate, but watch your head! Lloyd went out of his way to make sure that everything was right! He served a cook-to-order breakfast that was satisfying and delicious.

An interest in history, family ties to the area, and the enjoyment of cooking, gardening, and serving others led us to inn keeping. We are active in our local state parks and historic sites and our local community association which offers wonderful art, festivals, music, contra dancing, pottery museum, and more. There is always good conversation and humor to be had at the Stovall House.
