My words won't really do Talus Rock justice. Incredible Weekend. My non-profit chose Talus rock for our team retreat this year and i'm so glad we did. It's beautiful, comfortable, and serene. The family and staff are kind, engaging, interesting, and positive. Every one of us enjoyed our own private posh room, each with its own atmosphere. The atmosphere is luxurious and relaxing. It was the perfect place for us to relax and get away while getting a great deal of work done. It is tucked away in secluded opening in the woods. Its close to town but feels far away. It really is like a childhood dream - the impossible mansion full of art, beauty, and positivity. Heather, et al are genuine, good, caring people. Interesting, humble and just the kind of people who I want to spend time around and do business with. we booked for next year before we left. I know I speak for all of us when I say we are excited to return.

We were married at the Talus Rock Retreat in February 2017. It was a beautiful venue in such a special place. We have stayed here twice now and had a wonderful time with both visits. They were very accommodating for our wedding and helped our concerns with their relaxed environment. We would recommend not only staying here but also checking out the venue for a special occasion. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfasts are outstanding. We felt like we were family and not just guests. We would like to thank all of the Talus Rock staff for such an amazing wedding!

This beautiful sanctuary was far beyond our expectations! Walking through the intricately carved front door, we felt an immediate sense of warmth from the host, the structural beauty & design of the interior, and the panoramic view from the great room. We stepped into the magnificent Grand Arbor room, where they had a bottle of wine, chocolates and flower petals to celebrate our 5th year anniversary on Valentine's Day. Breakfast was a delight, along with wonderful conversation! We would highly recommend this beautiful well kept secret, to anyone wanting an escape or a gathering of family & friends. We were blessed beyond measure!

A beautiful and hidden gem. Very serene and relaxing. A great get away. Staff was wonderful. My only complaint would be that for the price, a second meal, like a light lunch be provided. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

Talus Rock Luxury Lodging is truly a piece of heaven on earth. My husband and I had the blessing of staying the weekend at Talus Rock to celebrate our 15th Wedding Anniversary. We have been through a lot together and needed a place to take a breath. I have been battling breast cancer since the end of 2014 . I did chemo, radiation , and major surgeries. I'm now in remission . Praise God! We stayed in the Grand Arbor Suite . It was very romantic. The view was spectacular. The details of the room were amazing. A relaxing jetted tub, incredible tree shower, and copper ceiling. It was so peaceful. We let the fresh air in our room and savored every moment we had there. We went for a walk on the trail on the property. We enjoyed a gorgeous view of the mountains, pond, and beautiful landscaping. One of our favorite spots was sitting by the fireplace. We loved the staff there too. Warm, welcoming, and gracious host. The wonderful breakfast in the morning was a real treat. We even made a couple of new furry friends Panda and Piper . Adorable, doggies. We love the fact the owner uses dollars spent to help children in need around the world. We plan on going back for many years to come for special occasions. It's a great place to get away from all of life's busyness and stress and enjoy this beautiful home.

In medieval terms, romance was a term used to describe stories of adventure and mystery. From the moment one enters the forest of this stunning estate, there is a feeling of peace and beauty; a sense of wonder. This feeling only grows as you approach the home and walk about within. The rooms are comfortable and the innkeepers are the most hospitable you will find. We felt like family at once. And built of wood and stone, this place is solid, through and through...no creaky floors here. The breakfast is great. If possible, I highly recommend the Nooma Expanse room; an absolutely brilliant way to spend a few days away from it all. And it's only just a few minutes from town, but you feel as if you are miles away from anybody.

Was surprised by this last minute find. Stone's throw from downtown, yet feel like you are in the mountains. Panda and the rest of the animals very friendly. Good conversation and hostesses very knowledgable of the area and things to do. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Heather is a wonderful host that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. The house is great! My son had a blast in her pond and waterfall& enjoyed playing with the neighbor boy. They swam, caught frogs, boated... It's a quiet, relaxing & beautiful place where an adult can relax while the kids play. The animals were great also. Next time I'm staying here again!!!!
