We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Lewis House and are looking forward to our next visit to Ruston and The Lewis House.

We stayed in the Majestic Suite with ensuite bathroom, claw foot tub and canopy bed. Very romantic. Highly recommend this for special occasions. Breakfast was great and enough food for an army. We even lingered a little after breakfast to enjoy reading and planning our day on the front porch. The bed is very comfy and the house has been lovingly and carefully restored. We found in our research that bed and breakfast accommodations are few and far between in this area. Lewis House should definitely be on your list.

My wife and I decided on a last minute trip out of town. At midnight the night before, we found the Lewis House online. To our surprise, rooms were available. We booked The Majestic Suite and had confirmation first thing the next morning. We were surprised to find out we were the only couple there. We enjoyed a nice quiet breakfast and visit with CJ, the owner. We definitely plan on staying again.

Lovely home and lovely rooms! CJ was an absolute pleasure to stay with. By far the best B & B experience ever!

What a wonderful place to stay!! Perfect in all aspects ~ from the refurbishing of this Lewis home back to its original historical grandeur Victorian style ... to the warm welcoming of Christopher and his awesome tea in the Tea Room to the smell of roasting coffee and hot breakfast in the morning on beautiful Rose China. But I think my favorite thing of all was starting my day off with coffee and the swing on the side porch and the smell of fresh rain all around me.

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast. Our experience was so delightful , that we have been telling all our friends and family about it.The owners son,Christopher, greeted us with the best tea we have ever tasted. It was like going back in time. The house was restored to it's original splendor. The owner offered packages to make your occasion special, which my husband purchased all that was offered and Wow!!! Did they deliver!!! The owner was so sweet and accommodating. We really don't know how another bed and breakfast could top this experience for us.It was wonderful!!

My Boyfriend and I chose this inn because of its locality to the Landry Winery. The inn had a antique Victorian feel and our room was grand! Ruston, Louisiana has quaint eateries and shopping that for our tastes! I have stayed at B&B before and was disappointed at the morning cuisine. It was a common breakfast consisting of eggs, biscuits and sausage. I'm used to being served a more unique dish for the morning meal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Additionally, this inn allows for one night stays which fit our travel plans perfectly.
We always do serve a traditional morning breakfast of eggs, maple sausage/turkey sausage, toast/biscuits, fresh fruit, cherry cheese Danish or other dessert to top breakfast off as well as dark roast coffee, assortment of tea, ice water, juice, and milk. We are very known for customizing our guest's breakfast to their diet upon request which is included in every email confirmation. We have many guests who don't eat pork, egg whites only, organic only, or may be diabetic which we ask you inform us upon receiving your email confirmation. We are very much a custom special treatment Bed & Breakfast but we cannot read minds. We do serve a traditional breakfast but it is hardly common, traditional yes, and is always served on our royal Albert fine china and elegant decor at a majestic grand dining table. Our guests just ring the bell for immediate attention. Breakfast is also served at a set time which is also flexible per guests so the eggs are never cold and everything is prepared fresh, so it also helps when guests communicate to us exactly when they want breakfast and any other special requirements because we so love to please our guests which in turn makes everyone happy! I remember this couple arrived very late to breakfast and had told us nothing about any diet restrictions etc... Honestly I am glad their eggs were not cold hopefully they will return again so we can make them feel more special and they are a nice couple.

My wife and I stayed in the Majestic Suite for our anniversary. It was exquisite. The extra add ons were perfect and very reasonably priced. We loved how it felt like home. We were able to come and go whenever. We woke up to the smell of a delicious breakfast cooking. It was outstanding. We loved the stay and look forward to when we can stay there again. If you want a romantic getaway choose the Majestic.

This place is beyond wonderful. From the minute I checked in, to the minute I checked out, it was dreamlike. No detail left unturned. It is a two-story Victorian home. I stayed in the professors suite. This is the downstairs bedroom. i highly recommend the suites over the rooms, as they have private baths. All the doors have keyless entry, so there is no worry about carrying keys around. The rolling backyard is simply beautiful with a gazebo and comfortable sitting area. The front porch is large with two comfortable sitting areas and a swing. The back porch is small and cozy. Just enough to get out of the wind. The location is absolutely awesome. It is situated right downtown in walking distance to Restaurants, theater, gift shops, even auto parts store (Which, by the way I was extremely grateful for! Lol!) I had looked online and booked. Three bed-and-breakfast's came up. When I was there, I drove by the other two and was very, very glad I had chosen the Lewis house. They are both a couple miles from town. One didn't even seem to be operational.

It was very nice staying there, and the quaint little town it's in made the whole trip magical. I would go back in a heart beat!

We went there for an anniversary because neither of us have ever stayed in a bed and breakfast before. We were both pleasantly surprised at how beautiful it was. The rooms were awesome especially with the claw foot bathtub. It was a very special occasion and this stay made it even more special. We loved the entire atmosphere. We now have a new tradition at our house of tea in the afternoon.

We really enjoyed our stay and plan to go back often! It's a wonderful relaxing retreat! Our hostess payed special attention to our diet needs and changed her menu for us!!

This was our first stay and we were skeptical. I am extremely meticulous and often have trouble feeling comfortable outside of my own home. At the Lewis House, I immediately felt right at home!

Property was well maintained and room was very nice as advertised. Property location was a bit sketchy, very different from the neighboring properties. Regardless, we had no issues with the neighbors. We booked the room on a short (2 day notice), which the owner accommodated (good thing). When we arrived to check in, owner seemed more interested in leaving than in getting us settled in (not so good). Advertised breakfast time is 9:00 am, which didn't meet our schedule. Owner didn't offer to serve an earlier breakfast to accommodate us, and we were the only guests staying there (not so good). We could serve ourselves with whatever we could find in the kitchen. I just felt like the stay wasn't a good value for our money.

Excellent service provided by owner of The Lewis House. Like the fact that they allow children. My 10-year-old daughter loved it. Great breakfast the morning of our departure. Would stay here again if visiting near Ruston.

My wife and i made a day trip to Poverty Point National Park in North Louisiana and were looking for a bed and breakfast to spend the night before driving back home the next day. The Lewis house was the perfect choice! Great location in downtown shopping area and the accommodations, service and breakfast were outstanding! i would highly recommend this lovely Victorian! We felt right at home!

We only had a one night stay and came in late and left early. But it felt welcoming with everything ready for us. Room was very clean and comfortable. Anything you might need from personal hygiene to snacks were readily available. A substantial breakfast to go bag was in the fridge for our early departure. The only thing important to know is that the professors suite is only room on ground floor and its bath's claw foot tub/shower sits really high. Might be important for some to know. It was a great visit!

This was our third time to visit Ruston to visit our daughter while she attends LA and to stay at The Lewis House. We thoroughly enjoy the breakfasts, the rooms which are large and comfortable. We enjoy being able to easily to walk to downtown and even the university if we want.

On the night all of American Airlines was grounded, we planned a stay at The Lewis House. CJ stayed in contact with us by phone knowing we would be driving from Dallas and arrive late. We had no difficulty accessing the room and slept better that night in the Professor Suite than the night before in a pricey 4-star. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room exquisitely set. The Lewis House is conveniently located to shops and other restaurants and is an ideal option for those needing accommodations for LA Tech graduations or events. Next time we plan to stay in Majestic Suite or Mallard's Nest. Thank you for your gracious hospitality!

My wife and I decided to get away during her spring break and saw an advertisement fo the Lewis House and decided to try it. So glad that we did. From teh First time that I talked to CJ I knew that customer service was her strength and that the visit was going to be a good one. She even called while we were driving to wish us a safe trip! The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated and we spent alot of time looking at all of the beautiful furnishings in the other areas of the house as well as the gift items that were on display. The location was very convenient to all that we wanted to do in Ruston. We'll definitely be back.

My husband and I love to stay in bed and breakfasts and this was such a nice surprise to find in Ruston. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and VERY clean. We were treated to a hot sit down breakfast the next morning which was a nice change from the usual continental style we are used to. I will definitely stay here again.

I had come to Ruston for a meeting from Birmingham AL. I love to stay in B&Bs whenever I can and googled to find The Lewis House. I read some negative comments about the owner CJ but decided to make the reservation. I am so thankful that I did! The house is beautiful and the furnishings are true to the period. Extremely clean!! I was lucky enough to have a storm roll through and since it says you are welcome to make yourself at home, I did just that...made coffee and sat on the back porch and thoroughly enjoyed mother nature's show. When I got to meet CJ I found her a gracious host! She prepared a huge breakfast, which is served in the exquisitely furnished diningroom. I felt relaxed and cared for...CJ is very interested in making your stay the best. When in Ruston, this will be the ONLY place I stay.

This was the perfect pick for our 2 year anniversary getaway. We truly felt like it was home away from home just without all the commotion of life. We felt completely alone and private but with answers to everything we needed. Enjoyed this greatly! Cj was the greatest hostess!!

This B&B was so Nice! I travel on business and the hotels were all full, so I looked on line and called the Lewis House and was able to stay for the night for less of what the hotel would have charged and SO much Nicer!!! A great place to get your after work "work" done and relax in a comfortable setting! Super close to places to eat. (walking distance) Will stay here again!

We spent one night at the Lewis House in Ruston while our daughter went to orientation at LaTech. The house was okay and it was good for one night. Not sure if I would have stayed another night if I would have been in Ruston for longer. The breakfast was great and Cj Browning was very nice.

Stay is work related. Home away from home! Best experience, having worked out of hotels for last 6 years! Lewis House owners go far beyond the usual duties to assure my stay is a stress free, comfortable, ultimate experience!

Absolutely wonderful. I felt so comfortable there. After speaking with CJ for 5 minutes I felt I had known her forever. She is caring and personable and extremely helpful. The house is amazing. I definately recomend a stay at the Lewis House. Either just passing through or a vacation. You can't go wrong with a stay at the Lewis House.

I came across information for The Lewis House while attempting to secure a hotel room in Ruston during an event weekend. We were excited to secure any room at all and considered it a bonus to find out about a "March Madness" special room rate. We knew we would enjoy our stay, but truly could not have been more pleased with our accomodations. We will definitely take the opportunity to visit The Lewis House again and will absolutely search for other Bed & Breakfast when traveling in the future!

My son goes to LaTech and I live in Southern California so the Lewis house was the perfect answer. It was so comfortable, cozy and spacious. The home is a beautifully restored masterpiece, a step back in time. We relaxed in the salon, found goodies in the kitchen, and felt very at home. I would choose this over a hotel, even a suite, it was so lovely and priced fairly. I will definitely go back.

The place was very clean and certainly had a period feel to it. There are a few minor things that can use updating, but overall had a good experience with it. We had the house to ourselves which made for a very home like feeling to it. I am already making plans to go back.

C.J was a wonderful hostess. The house was very clean and the breakfast was very good. It was a very hot weekend and the rooms were very cool. The only issue I had was the TV in the upstairs foyer--it was very warm in that location, during this summer time heat wave. The location is excellent--you can walk anywhere in the town and feel safe and secure. I would recommend this B & B to anyone.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in the majestic suite and the owner and staff were simply amazing. This house was like something out of a fairytale for us!! I highly recommend a stay here!! Well worth it!! I could sit here and describe every little perfect detail, but my suggestion is book it and see for yourself! :) You won't regret it.

The Majestic Suite, with adjoining private bath and in-room, gas-fired fireplace is a joy to experience. The large four-poster, canopied bed could not have been more comfortable. We had the run of the house and it was extremely quite.

This old Victorian was a delight. Located in the Historic District of downtown Ruston, there is a charm that reminds one of a bygone era. One can easily walk to good restaurants or the old Dixie Theater. The Louisiana Tech campus is only a short drive or an ambitious walk away. The surrounding neighborhood is peacefully quiet in the evening, except for the occasional freight train passing nearby. We stayed in the Professor's Room on the ground floor, a most pleasant accommodation. Breakfast included generous portions, a large glass of orange juice, and terrific coffee. The owner and staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and to meet our needs.

We always have a wonderful restful stay at the Lewis House B&B. Even the train that travels through town is restful. This B&B is walking distance to downtown. So after driving all day, it is to be able to stretch your legs, slow down, and eat a good meal. CJ is very accomodating regarding breakfast. She tries to meet everyone's needs. It is a pleasant experience and definitely air conditioned in the summer!
