The handsome barn loft at peaceful Willowdale Farm warmly accommodates from 1 to 6 guests and is very tech friendly. Wandering the beautiful grounds you will find, among other things, gently rolling hills with fruit trees, lovely woods, a furniture design/build studio, a delightful raised bed organic garden, and a nice hiking path to Punkin Creek, just on the edge of the lower meadow. You will also find nice porch's on which to sit. Seven minutes away, in town, more urban activities abound.

If you are just looking for a bed for the night and a great breakfast in the morning, the Barn Loft at Willowdale Farm will more than meet your expectations. But if you are looking for a place that also touches your spirit, stirs your creative senses, and gives you a feeling of comfort, rest, and "coming home," then it is without a doubt the place for you. The Barn Loft is a unique experience for the senses in its beautiful, peaceful setting.....a place I often return to in my mind when I need a short reprieve from the busy-ness and distractions of life....and a place I want to return to for real again and again. The owner, Robert, is very welcoming and willing to share his little bit of heaven with guests, and it is his spirit and creativity that creates the unique ambiance of the farm. Even his sweet dog, John Brown, adds a welcoming presence. The Barn Loft is roomy, inviting, and filled with light, and it has many interesting design features, like a glassed-in sunporch and handmade furniture Robert built. It is also well-stocked with delicious breakfast food and snacks. As you walk around the property, enjoy the treats for the eyes, like the hand-built outdoor fire place, the antique and vintage pieces, like the 1940's pickup, and the use of reclaimed wood from old buildings. For me, being there is a vacation in itself, but it would certainly be a charming addition to any vacation. Treat yourself and enjoy!

My stay at Willowdale Farm was outstanding to the point I simply did not want to leave. The farm was beautiful, well cared for with the most interesting dog and wonderful chickens which had the run in the morning of the lawn. Wonderful treats appeared fresh baked as well as fresh fruit.. The owner was very kind.

Simple pleasures at their best! Leaving with the feeling of having been here much longer than I actually was---the place envelopes you and politely shuts out he rest of the world.
One enters the loft via the outside private staircase onto a nice windowed porch which overlooks the farm. Handmade french doors invite you into the dining/living area which has a cypress planked vaulted ceiling with high speed wireless internet and direct TV. The open kitchen has a large refrigerator, oven, cooktop, microwave, and coffeemaker. There is even a washer and dryer. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in each. (there is also a sleeper sofa if needed for larger groups). A very large bathroom has both an antique cast iron tub and a separate shower. Central heat and air keeps you comfortable. There is no phone, however cells have service. The loft is nicely decorated with antique signs, pottery, and attractive accessories, most of which may be purchased. Whether you are wandering around the garden and grounds, hiking to the creek, or simply resting on the porch. And someone is always around to assist with comfort, convenience, and service.
