I spent four nights at the Carriage Corner in mid-October, 2016 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Jaymie and Gaylen had just purchased the Carriage Corner a couple of days before my arrival. They were very nice and very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend this B & B. Breakfast was great!

As long time B&B patrons, we were totally surprised with our recent stay with Gordon and Gwen. Upon arriving, we found out that the Prime Minister of Denmark, with his wife and daughter were staying at the B&B for two nights. With heavy Secret Service security, it became a very different stay. Our host looked after us well, rooms were immaculate, and breakfasts were scrumptious. All in all a wonderful time was had by all. Many grand conversations were held and friendships made.

Talk about a place that under-promises but over-delivers! Their web site did not nearly capture the perfection of this Amish Country Bed and Breakfast. The owner, host, travel advisor, and breakfast cook, Gordon, was perfect in all of these areas. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left he was gracious and accommodating. If you're even considering this Inn, reserve a room if it's available for your travel dates. Stop looking at other locations. This will be your "home away from home". Thanks Gordon - and Gwen - for making our visit beyond pleasant!
This has just been such a wonderful and delightful season in regard to all those who have come our way. We appreciate each of you sincerely and all that you have contributed to the "spirit" of the B&B, your sharing around the breakfast table in the context of community --- it's just all been so encouraging to Gwen and me and we thank you for the privilege of serving you!
- Gordon (innkeeper)

Spotless housekeeping and a home like you have at home. Gourmet breakfasts and Gordon's advice to first time Lancaster County visitors was extremely helpful. This is an easy location from which to visit the area. Most of the other guests were repeat visitors which also speaks well for this property.

We love traveling to Lancaster when the opportunity presents itself, and last weekend was just one of those times. As I was researching a place to stay, I came upon the Carriage Corner B&B. I noticed all the great reviews, so decided this is where I would book our stay...WOW! I can honestly say, this is such a nice place! There was not one thing that I could find that was a "negative" about this place! We absolutely loved our stay at this B&B!!! Not only is it nestled in a super nice area, but it's VERY clean and the owners are very nice & very accommodating. I can honestly give this place 10 stars, it's THAT nice! Also, if you're unfamiliar with the area, no fear, Gordon will sit down and map out places for you to visit...there is a lot to see & do here! I will end with this: You can always tell when an owner is proud of their B&B by how it's cared for, and this place is very well cared for...you will not be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I just had the good fortune of spending a night at the Carriage Corner Bed and Breakfast. Not only was out host, Gordon, wildly accommodating and knowledgable about the area, but he served the most outstanding home made breakfast. We were truly blown away by the amount of food he was able to prepare. If you need a relaxing getaway in a charming little area, this Bed and Breakfast should be the first on your list. The rooms are peppered with Amish history and memorabilia, so you are completely immersed in your vacation. We stayed in the Pinapple Room, which felt private, charming, and cozy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back!

This was my 3rd visit to Carriage Corner. It is a warm, welcoming place that feels like home. Gordon is a lovely man who is very knowledgeable about the area and its people. Breakfast is included and they are very good (way better than a hotel - check out the website for the recipes). This is the only place I will stay when in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised. A quiet, clean, and heavenly place. Our week-end was quite restful. Our host, Gordon, went all out with those 'scrumptious' breakfast meals. In addition, he provided us with all the information needed to make our stay in Pennsylvania a never-to-be-forgotten one. Our first time, and we will certainly return.

I hope that Gordon is able to sell his B and B and I also hope that he doesn't :) He will be missed if he does sell.
Yes, it's true that the B&B is on the market and that we are trusting we'll be able to pass the baton to someone with a similar vision; a couple that will even be able to make the B&B better in this special Village of Lancaster Co.! I'm sharing with our regulars that we have been serving for 24 years and that we feel it's now time to move into a new chapter in our lives (our grandchildren important to us!); but also share it often takes a long time to sell a B&B and that we look forward to seeing them again in 2016! So many mixed feelings on both sides the fence on this one!

My fiancé and I found this excellent little B&B on bedandbreakfast.com and chose it for our first stay in Lancaster County, PA mainly based on fair pricing and availability. The innkeeper, Gordon, was MORE than accommodating in so many ways. I knew it was a good choice when as we were pulling up the house, a horse and buggy passed by! Gordon greeted us at the front door and immediately asked if we needed any special accommodations for the night or dietary needs for breakfast the next morning. The house is truly beautiful inside and out--very rustic with a beautiful farmland view from the yard. The room we stayed in and private bather were impeccably clean and the decor was extremely charming. Breakfast the next day was outstanding; you could just tell it was cooked with care and all ingredients were fresh and hearty. After breakfast, Gordon even went over a map of places we should make sure to see during our trip in the area. We loved reading the journal on the nightstand in our room filled with entries from guests dating back to the 90's. We absolutely plan to stay here next time we return to Lancaster County.
5 on November 04, 2015
Gordon made our stay seamless with his hospitality and his kindness. He's a true host! We're coming back to stay at the carriage corner in mid December. Thank you Gordon for such a memorable time we spent at your place. See you soon!

The breakfast served is comparable to a high-end restaurant - very delicious. The room was beautiful, cozy, cool and very comfortable. It felt like being home while on vacation.I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Intercourse, PA.

We stayed at Carriage Corner B&B for two nights with 2 other couples. We visit this area every year and this is the best place we have stayed! We will definitely go back next year. Gordon was very accommodating with our requests. The breakfasts were amazing with plenty to eat. He kept bringing our different courses. Gordon is very knowledgeable of the area and was able to provide us with some coupons to where we were going to eat. Our room was immaculate as was the rest of the Bed and Breakfast. This Bed and Breakfast has a very warm, hospitable atmosphere. I would highly recommend!
2015 has truly been an amazing year with returning guests, many of whom feel like "family"! We are truly honored for all who come this way---this week we had a family in from France and another family arrived from Switzerland yesterday Listening to their experiences among the Amish is delightful! When people ask how we feel about having people in our home I always say that we are so blessed to be living in Lancaster County as the people who come this way are people we'd enjoy having in our home anyway! So, giving our lives away in hospitality is a joy! We are forever grateful for each of the reviewers who encourage and who have supported us!

This was my first time staying at a B&B, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The home is very nice, clean and quiet. I went by myself and didn't think about being the only single person there. However, the couples that I met were awesome and I was able to learn a lot about their travels. I didn't plan anything while there, so breakfast time was great as I was able to learn what the others were doing, or did the day before, to decide if it was something I wanted to do; and the food was awesome as well. Gordon was great with things to see and do, and was able to fit me in almost at the last minute to have dinner with an Amish family. That alone was worth the stay. Carriage Corner is close to everything and is definitely worth staying there.

Host Gordon was fabulous. He served a wonderful breakfast, almost all food being home-made . He advised perfectly on best way to experience the region, and did ensure we had the best time ever. We booked 2 rooms for the family, both spacious and clean. We would recommend this B&B to all who want to visit this Amish country side
5 on May 12, 2015
I typically am not a big fan of bed & breakfast locations, I prefer hotels. The past 3 years my family and I have rented out the entire B&B for a couples weekend. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. The host is very friendly and makes you feel right at home and don't get me started on the food. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place like home to stay.

After a stay in DC, it was a breath of fresh air to be in the country, even with the occasional smells that come with farm areas. Gordon was a terrific host and information about the area was very helpful especially places to eat. We enjoyed greatly the 2 suggestion for meals. If we were coming through here again, we would stay here at Carriage Corner.

What a wonderful weekend! We stayed three nights. Gordon was a fabulous host, very responsive and great source of information about the area and what to do. Breakfast was delicious and though it may seem like a small thing, I appreciated that the food was served on platters on the middle of the table for the most part, so that guests serve themselves how much and what they want to eat.
5 on April 01, 2015
Gordon is a most welcoming host showing his guests to very spacious and comfortable rooms. Right away I felt comfortable having tea in the upstairs common area. Breakfast is wonderful!! Gordon puts his culinary skills to work each morning. Wonderfully located, close to Intercourse village. Great stay for your Amish getaway

Carriage Corner B&B is the place to stay in the Lancaster area! Warm hospitality, excellent location for Amish culture, and relaxing ambiance are just a few benefits we received from our recent stay! We appreciate Gordon's (the owner) prompt response to our reservation! He provided detailed information about the area and took the time to guide us to points of interest when we arrived! Our room was so comfortable and beautifully decorated! We enjoyed seeing the Amish horse and buggies go past this enjoyable location! The delicious, generous breakfast welcomed our day! Gordon's attention to detail is much appreciated! We will be returning to this excellent "Home away from home"! Thank-you!

Our third time back to Carriage Corner, and would not consider looking elsewhere! Gordon is definitely the perfect host, as well as being an excellent cook and housekeeper, and above all a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. Wonderful to enjoy talking about the Lord with him, and with other Christian guests we have met there. Breakfasts are imaginative and delicious. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. All this for a very reasonable price! Just try it, you'll love it!

4.8 on October 27, 2014
To start, the place is a little difficult to find. The trees and bushes make it hard. Once we arrived, Gordon (innkeeper) greeted us. Very knowledgeable about the area in all aspects. We aren't familiar with it, so he showed us places to eat, shops, entertainment, the whole nine yards. Our room (Pineapple Room) was very cozy. The bathroom is literally two steps away through the hallway & private. It has a stand-in shower. Very clean! It was very quiet and relaxing. The breakfast prepared was some sort of blueberry french toast baked dish with mashmallows and sausage on the side...delicious! Fruit was also served and coffee or tea to drink. The others staying with us were older couples from the south, as nice as can be. Gordon did a stellar job making sure everyone was taken care of as much as possible. The rate for the room was VERY good. Taking the service we received in combination with that, it felt like a steal! If we are ever to go to are B&B again, this will be at the top of our list! Thanks for everything, Gordon!

Clean rooms, spacious room (we stayed in the plum room). We only ate breakfast one morning, but it was delicious. We were very impressed with Gordon saying a blessing over our breakfast. We were also given a big umbrella to borrow while we went to a flea market. Overall, good stay, but we are not typical B&B-ers, so this was a new experience for us.

The price was great, comparable to any hotel room but with a gourmet breakfast.. Gordon was definitely a great host and very knowledgeable of the area. He even provided us with a map so that we could get around the towns.

This visit was very specific and focused on furniture shopping - but after one night I decided we had to come back and visit, just to visit. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and well appointed. The common area was well-furnished for reading, conversation or games. The only slightly disappointing factor was the availability to dine later in the evening. Most local places (the good ones, not 'touristy') closed by 8 p.m. Our 6:30 plus arrival seriously limited out choices.

I have stayed at the Carriage Corner Bed & Breakfast for two years now, both times in order to participate in the Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon. 5 on September 03, 2014
My husband and I stayed here mid August for a last minute getaway. Several reviews stated that it was noisy as this B&B is located on a corner lot of a main road but we did not hear anything. The room was super clean (I am a germaphobic & neat freak). It was a lovely place to stay (without kids) and close to all the Amish attractions. The inn keeper, Gordon (?) contacted a local Amish family who hosted an authentic Amish meal (delishious and filling) where we were invited to share a meal at an Amish house with an local Amish family (very interesting) for a small donation of $16-20 per person. I would definitely recommend the Carriage Corner B&B as it is clean, inexpensive, and Gordon prepares a yummy breakfast in the AM. Cheers!

If what you are looking for in a B&B is an old fashion house then this isn't your place BUT it is a very nice home furnished with that old fashion look on the inside. Great location if you want to shop the Amish country but not a quiet stay - sits on a main road that not only is carriage corner but car corner. We did meet some really nice people also staying there and had an awesome breakfast (food and conversation)

We had a great experience at Gordon and Gwen's place. The place was so clean and cozy. We had very good breakfast and met with nice people during the breakfast. We will definitely go back.

Gordon went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The food was fresh and good, and the information and love he had for the area was obvious. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable and well-appointed. The only slight negative is that during typical traffic times, it's on a busy corner, so you have to be careful getting out. I recommend this B&B without hesitation.

Everything was really fresh for breakfast. The pancake was so good that we even asked for the recipe! Everything was excellent. Only a minor issue... I think they should buy new towels for the bathroom, they are just too old. On the whole, I definitely recommend this place and loved it there!

As we do for many special days we had a two night stay at the Carriage Corner B & B to celebrate our 70th Wedding Anniversary. Also, as always, we had a marvelous time and Gordon had a special breakfast on our DAY. Those of you looking for a great place to stay make a reservation at the Carriage Corner you will be glad you did. We love to visit and share our life stories and we like to hear the same from others. The breakfast table with others from all over the USA and from other countries provides that opportunity. See you there. Grandpa and Grandma Chris from Germantown, MD

Gordon was a great host with many helpful insights into local activities and events. Our stay was both relaxing and fun filled. We especially enjoyed the rhythmic clip-clop of horse hooves outside our window. We would not hesitate to recommend the Carriage Corner B&B to friends and relatives and will probably book another stay in the near future. Thanks Gordon!

Always a great getaway, Gordon goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. He is a great cook, breakfast is always a treat. It is a great place to stay. It has become our go to place when we travel to Lancaster.( we are there about 4 times a year.

My wife and I and four other couples made the trip from Northern Virginia to spend a weekend in Lancaster County and attend the Moses presentation at the nearby Sight and Sound Theatre. The rooms were exceptional and the common areas were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The two breakfasts were the best we have ever been served at a B&B. The proprietor, Gordon Schuit, arranged for us to have a dinner with a local Amish family. That was a most enjoyable and memorable occasion. All five couples commented that the Carriage Corner greatly exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful weekend and would give the Carriage Corner our highest recommendation.

We felt very welcome and looked after at the Carriage Corner. Gordon really went out of his way for us. We managed to cram in as much as we could with such a short trip. I would recommend his establishment to anyone interested in seeing Amish country

We really enjoyed our breakfasts and the wonderful company of the other guests! Our host, Gordon, was efficient, friendly and very welcoming! I would very highly recommend this B & B to anyone looking for a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable stay in lovely, Amish country!

This B&B is the perfect way to spend a few days in Amish country. With it's great location in Intercourse, you are able to see horse and buggy travelers often. I would be sitting by the window enjoying a cup of coffee after a wonderful full course breakfast and hear the clip clopping reminding me to get ready! Easy to take day trips and come home to such a peaceful home-base. Such a great value too!

Having read reviews from others, we recently stayed in the Plum Room at Carriage Corner. If you're looking for a bed & breakfast that is clean, comfortable and convenient with excellent breakfasts and hospitality at a reasonable price, this one is worth checking out. Having run a rooming/apartment complex for many years myself, I know where and what to check, and Gordon's rooms and bathrooms are spotless. Our room and mattress were comfortable and breakfast was a treat to start the day. Gordon gave us a peek at the other rooms after guests had left and they were of equal excellent quality. The atmosphere is like visiting a favored Christian relative's house. Gordon goes out of his way to assist with information about area attractions, driving directions, and anything else his guests might need. If you're looking for an in-room Jaccuzzi or fireplace, this isn't the place for you (although there is a nice wood-burning stove in the lobby). Be advised that Gordon keeps his rates reasonable by holding your room on a credit card and then requesting full payment upon arrival with either cash or check. Credit card billing will incur a 5% fee (his cost for using that service). Also, this place is best for couples and adults (perhaps a teenager) since all rooms except one (3 people) are equipped for two. Take the time to read "Our personal invitation to stay with us" on their web Page. What a wonderful change of venue this is from staying in the typical hotel/motel. I highly, unreservedly endorse Carriage Corner B & B--it's a little gem. Ronald R. Parker/Moorestown, NJ

Generous host...incredible food...great price...very clean...perfect place to rejuvenate and/or take in all the area has to offer. The host made me feel like it was my very own home and everyone there was like one family. So welcoming. He has great knowledge of the area and is willing to share what he knows to help with any of your recreational/travel plans. Cant wait to go back!!! A little slice of heaven ;-)

This is the perfect bed and breakfast for a relaxing vacation in the Lancaster area. The host, Gordon, is friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and one of the best cooks I have ever met. Breakfast is delicious, but additionally becomes an opportunity to meet new people and find other areas to explore and enjoy. We have been to the Carriage Corner three times now, and cannot wait to return for our next visit to Lancaster.

We stayed 3 nights in this B&B. We have to give it 5 stars because everything was outstanding. The room, the cleanliness, the value, the delicious fresh homecooked breakfast (it last you untill dinner!) and most of all the friendly hospitality from Gordon. Thanks again Gordon for making our stay so relaxed and giving us wonderfull memories for life!! We will be back for sure..

This B&B just felt like the right fit for us from the moment we contacted Gordon. He was helpful and very knowledgeable of the Amish people and things to do in the area. My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed our stay at Carriage Corner, rooms were very nice and the price was excellent! Just a short stretch up to Intercourse for all the shops which we enjoyed, lots of unique things to be found. Central to a lot of things to see and do within 5 or 6 miles. If you get a chance go see the National Christmas Center just a few miles away, we both loved that!

3.2 on October 15, 2013
We stayed one night and were pleased with the cleanliness of our room and private bath across the hallway. Breakfast was at 8:30 sharp. I will say the innkeeper is quite meticulous about the way the breakfast service should be. Be careful not to deviate from that. It was a bit uncomfortable for a second, but once you decide to not let perfection bother you, the breakfast is actually quite tasty. Don't let that ruin your bed and breakfast experience.
5 on October 14, 2013
We have stayed here many times and Gordon the Innkeeper is the perfect host. Cannot praise it enough. Everything you would wish for to make your stay perfect!!! Right beside the lovely Village of Intercourse and Amish country. So if you love crafts/quilts etc and would like to see the Amish go about there daily business this is the perfect place. Its also close to the outlets and many other places. Rosemary & Jimmy

Most times, we don't invest the time to complete these online reviews, But, this time we had to make an exception. After all, it was the online reviews that initially led us to making a reservation at Carriage Corner B&B in the Cranberry Room. Frankly, I first thought that the predominance of 5-star ratings may have been overstated. I'm glad I was wrong!!! We will long treasure the experience thanks mostly to Gordon's gift of hospitality. He made it happen by "going the extra mile" in many instances. Without a doubt we will enthusiastically recommend Carriage Corner to friends and family. We will look forward to a return visit albeit a long journey from California. Thank you so much, Gordon and Gwen!

This was our second visit and totally lived up to our expecetations. Made feel most welcome, assisted with advice and finding our way around the local features. Conveniently located, excellent room and facilities. Gordons breakfasts are among the best we have ever experienced at any B&B''s.

Gordon kindly honored the rate on the website rather than the increased rate later quoted. I appreciated very much that a reduction was made for single occupancy, which was one of the main reasons I booked Carriage Corner. Warm welcome from Gordon upon arrival. Home-made breakfast was filling and tasty. The only downside is that whilst at breakfast, well before the scheduled check-out time, my bedroom and bathroom were cleaned and made up ready for the next guests. Some of my personal belongings were out on display and my bathroom door (across the hall) was left open for anyone to enter or see into. Also I still needed to use my towels that were taken before my departure, meaning a clean towel had to be utilised instead.
5 on September 18, 2013
What a lovely bed and breakfast. The room was beautiful. Every morning we were treated to Gordon's homemade breakfast, each day was different and delicious. The conversation around the table was lively, funny and interesting. We enjoyed meeting the other guests from different states and from Australia, Italy, and England. We would stay here again.

I stayed at the Carriage Corner B&B when in town for the Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon. I have never stayed in Bed and Breakfast that met the standards of Carriage Corner. I don't know how they do it, but the entire place is immaculate. Carriage Corner is also a breathtaking value, and really close to anywhere you want to go in the area. Do not miss the breakfast when you stay there!!!! We are talking 5-star in beauty and presentation of the food, as well as the bounty that was served. Amazing!!!! I will always stay with Carriage Corner when I am in town! Thanks, Gordon and Gwen!

Years ago we made the decision to purchase a quality automobile and stay at B&Bs as we travel around America rather than tow a trailer. We have never regretted that decision. For our 45th wedding anniversary part of our trip was to tour Intercourse, PA so I booked a night at the Carriage Corner. Excellent decision! In keeping with B&B traditions we found the facilities to be in keeping with the Amish feel of the town. The grounds and building were perfect, the room exceptional with a quilt that I just had to take pictures of, and best of all was breakfast baked by Gordon. As always, had some great conversations during breakfast and it set the tone for a wonderful day. Looking forward to another stay at the Carriage Corner so we can tour Lancaster and Hershey.

This was my first time staying at a B&B and I can only hope that they are all this great! Gordon was an amazing host and he mad us feel very welcome. He is very knowledgeable about the area. He gave us a map of the area and told us all the great places to go. As far as breakfast, I could go on forever! Breakfast was my favorite part of every day. The food he cooked was out of this world but still comforting. The location is perfect for sightseeing and centrally located within a few miles of everything you will want to do. All in all, it was a memory made and I will never forget Gordon or his hospitality, or his breakfasts!! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

I love going to Lancaster and lodging at Carraige Corner. I have not been there in about 8-9 years and it is as lovely as it eas before. Soooo peaceful and refreshing. This was my first up year wedding anniversary and I wanted my husband to experience the complete essence of what it is to rest and relax. He loved and said we will go twice a year. Gordon's cooking is delicious and I would not stay anywhere else.

We've stayed at many B&Bs and consider this one of the best! Our room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and the bathroom large! The host was very congenial and made a WONDERFUL breakfast both days. In addition, he was knowledgeable about the area and was able to offer suggestions for back roads and restaurants. Saying grace before our meal was a sincere moment that we appreciated. While some may say he is too particular (be sure not to put anything on the table, use coasters; fold back the quilt to keep it nice) that’s why the bed and breakfast is so beautifully maintained. The location was easy to get to and close to everything while still being off the main road in Lancaster County. Highly recommended – we’ll go again next time we are in the area for sure.

Folks were extremely accommodating and breakfast was superb. It was a last minute decision to stay in Lancaster after dropping our daughter off at F&M college in Lancaster.. and exactly \what we were hoping for is what The Carriage Corner B&B provided us. We couldn't have asked for more... Surely looking forward to our next visit to Lancaster to meet our college daughter and overnight stay at the Carriage Corner. A+ Bravo Zulu

When we arrived, we were not expecting to stay at someone's home. When we walked in, the entire experience started...absolutely relaxing and wonderful experience. Clean! Roomy and fresh...the Innkeeper, Gordon, was very welcoming and the breakfasts he prepared were one of the best we have ever had at any BnB. We have recommended this place and will be back again!

My wife & I booked several weeks ahead at Carriage Corner B&B. Gordon Schuit was very accommodating & prompt with helpful hints about the area we planned to visit. On arrival we encountered a friendly gentleman who immediately made us feel at home. He again advised us on what was available in the area & circled potential destinations on a map. Quiet, relaxing music enhanced our time in the tastefully decorated main sitting & dining room. It was good to know household procedures/routines which benefitted guests & innkeeper as well. Gordon always put a lot of effort into breakfast which was varied each of the 6 days we stayed there. Discussions with other guests around the table were affable & quite interesting. We were delighted with the Cranberry Room which was our bed & bathroom....spacious, clean & very attractive. If we'd had a rainy day we would have had no trouble spending extra time there reading, watching TV, etc. It was amazing how Gordon seemed to have anticipated our every need ! Parking was available on site . With Carriage Corner B & B being so centrally located we were able to conveniently visit many local attractions as well as acquire a good sense of the Amish culture surrounding us. Gordon took time to listen to a few of my stories & had some of his own to share. This added immeasurably to my time there . I just wish we had been able to stay a little longer to soak in more of Gordon's God-given wisdom. Til next time....! George(and Janice) Meisner from Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

Our stay at Carriage Corner B&B was a very pleasant experience, as we have never stayed at any B&B before. The location was right in the heart of farm land. And yet close enough for daytime activities, such as Kitchen Kettle Village. The room we stayed in "Strawberry Room" was cozy and comfy. The Inn keeper Gordon, was very friendly, and a great cook to boot.... request the Oatmeal pancakes, they were awesome, you will not be disappointed! It felt like we were staying with relatives. We definitely will come stay again when we can! Thank you Gordon for a wonderful and pleasant stay!

Located on busy & noisy road, and entry drive is hidden on dangerous corner curve. However, house inside is quiet and is a very well maintained facility. Host is friendly and helpful. It is a central location for accessing Amish farmlands either side of this main highway and quick access to commercial areas along it.

I just wish we lived closer so we could go more often because Lancaster is such a beautiful place to visit.

We stayed in the Plum room for 3 nights. I have never ever stayed at a more cleaner place than this. I usually strip the blankets off of beds before I would even sit on it. Everything was immaculate. I felt very comfortable with the blankets on our bed. The room was impeccable. The breakfasts that Gordon made us were delicious and filling. They sometimes held us over past lunchtime! We are private people so we came and went and did not really spend any time in the common quarters (living room). We would definitely go back. Lisa & Michael Galante

This B&B was fantastic. The innkeeper, Gordon, was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a delicious local dish. The room was very cozy and very well kept. My only regret is not having the time to stay more than one night. I highly recommend this place and I'm definitely going back.

Carriage Corner B&B was highly recommended to us by friends who stayed there a short time ago, so we had high expectations. We were truly pleased with our two-night stay and would also highly recommend Carriage Corner B&B. We will definitely stay at Carriage Corner B&B again. This was a great bed & breakfast. For the price we paid, I feel we got incredible value. Gordon, who runs the bed & breakfast, is personable and a great host. He made incredible pancakes for our breakfast. He arranged for us to eat in an Amish family's home and that was a fabulous experience, where we also got to meet the other guests. We celebrated 10 years of marriage here and it is a place we would return, as well as refer for others. The place is very clean, with great information on the local area. It is very close to Kitchen Kettle Village which is a nice place to walk through. The location is pretty central to a lot of the Lancaster area. It's a great spot!

This B&B is located just a 10 minute walk from the shops at the village of Intercourse. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay. Gordon is the host and lives in the home. Breakfast is served promptly at 830am each day, with a set menu and tasty food (when I was there we had waffles/fruit/sausage/bacon one day, and baked oatmeal for the second day). At 830, the guests all sit at the dining room together wherein you can exchange planning ideas for the rest of your trip. We were staying with another couple who had been coming to the area and staying at this B&B for 10 years. The house was quiet and well air conditioned, making it a pleasant experience for someone who is seeking such quiet. When we went to watch fireworks, Gordon let us use his camping chairs, a kind gesture. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean. Gordon also provided a number of great tips on sights and shops, and provided us with a helpful map which we used the entire stay. He also arranged for us to eat dinner at an Amish family's home. I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely go back to visit.

Superb stay in Amish Country, quiet yet only 10 mins. walk into town. The lounge, dining room & bedroom were all beautifully furnished, comfortable with plenty of books and magazines to read. Our breakfasts were also very good and plentiful. Gordon not only cooked expertly but was helpful and kind in so many ways. This was definitely one of our highlight stays during our holiday. For those on an extended holiday, there is an excellent Laundrette 100 yds. away. D & RH London, England. May 2013.

1. The Carriage Corner B&B was located in a lovely area surrounded by Amish farms and picturesque scenery. Nearby shops offered high quality, handmade goods, fresh meats and breads and locally grown produce. 2. The Carriage Corner B&B inn keeper was a friendly, informative host and he prepares a tasty breakfast in a comfortable setting. 3. The inn is clean and well maintained. Although the bed was comfortable for sleeping, the room above had very creaky floor boards and the loud footsteps overhead made getting any rest very difficult. Also, the room temperature was quite chilly and there was no thermometer to be found in the 'Strawberry Room'.

Gordon is a terrific host and was quite congenial. We had a very nice room, very comfortable and it was so quiet that we didn't even know 4 other couples were in the same house. Check out Gordon's pumpkin pancakes - you'll stuff yourself like I did. We hope to visit again soon and Carriage Corner will be our B&B of choice.

Perfect launch point for exploring Lancaster County. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were incredible, and we enjoyed meeting and conversing with the other guests at the breakfast table.

We absolutely loved our stay at your beautiful B&B. We loved our rooms and the wonderful accommodations. Gordon prepared a wonderful breakfast each morning we stayed. He was so helpful for different things to do while out there. Although, we have stayed in Lancaster many times we took Gordon's advice and took an Amish tour and visited a working grain mill.. His wife is charming, as well, and it was just wonderful to thank the Lord before we ate everyday. Wonderful to be able to feel so totally relaxed.

On our route from Washington DC to NYC the B&B was one of our two stops. Gordon is a great host in his tranquil surroundings. Room was clean and spotless. The breakfast was.......... 1st class.Verry relaxing.

Our stay at the Carriage Corner was a very pleasant one and the rooms were what we expected. Spacious and clean and most of all comfortable. The service provided to us by our host was excellent and we feel the price for the rooms were fair. Our breakfast was fabulous and we were especially happy to see that it is also a Christian home. We have already recommended the Carriage Corner B&B to friends of ours that are planning a visit to the Lancaster area. A big Thank You to our host!

The room was great but the breakfasts were even better! Stayed for two days and really enjoyed it. I can see going there again. Gordon was a great host!

We found this B& B to be a great place . The room met our expectation, the service was great, and the value was great, and the cleaniness was great, and the dinning was very very good. The Host Cordon was very very gracious, and made us feel right at home. He was willing to give us any information about the area that we needed. We will likely return to this location, and ,give other people a grand rating to stay here.
5 on April 02, 2013
Everything was more than perfect. The quilt on the bed was so beautiful, the bed was super comfortable, and the room was spotless, not to mention the delicious breakfast Gordon cooked for us. That was indeed amazing. All the guests were dining together on a big table so that we were able to talk to each other and get to know many interesting traveling stories from each of them. Overall, the stay in Carriage Corner made our trip unforgettable.

I arrived at this B&B earlier than C\check-in time, but Gordon a;;owed me put my baggage on my room. And he gave me lots of information about Intercourse. This was so helpful! I'll surely be back again!
5 on March 20, 2013
I can't describe with words how good the stay was. Gordon was helpful from the beginning, providing guidance around the area and places where we could go. The room was exceptional, the breakfast super delicious! This will be our "second home" for future stays in the area.

We enjoyed very much staying at Gordon and Gwen's B&B. Rooms were great, food was fantastic, loved the prayer at breakfast. Thank you both for such a wonderful stay. Would do it again!
5 on March 16, 2013
Everything about our stay here was wonderful. The owner even set up for us to eat dinner at an Amish home, which was the highlight of my year! If you are debating where to stay, STAY HERE!

We were passing through although we were familiar with the area, not this B&B. We would certainly check here first on our next trip. A dinner with a local Amish family was arranged and was delightful.
4.6 on March 15, 2013
Other B&Bs at which we've stayed have been polite or efficient, but not as warm and welcoming as Carriage Corner. The hospitality made us feel kind of like extended family come to visit.
5 on March 15, 2013
This was our third stay with Gordon and it was a great time. Breakfast was very good, and Gordon was very good at getting his guests to interact at breakfast for some stimulating conversation. Looking forward to our next stay....

A very quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced B&B. The innkeeper, Gordon, was very knowledgable and prepared a delicious breakfast. We were happy that they accept bedandbreakfst.com gift cards, but we were a little disappointed that they did not give the 'Hot Deal' discount that was advertised on their sight, but it was still a good value. We would visit them again!
Generally we have one or two rooms earmarked for "Hot Deal" and accept the "Hot Deal" only apart from acceptance of the gift card as there is a commission which we pay in accepting the Gift Card.
- Gordon Schuit (innkeeper)

I was very pleased with our stay, and plan to stay here again...for future visits to Lancaster County. The pics on-line do not do the room we stayed in justice. It was beautiful! We stayed in the Cranberry room, and it, and the personal bathroom were spacious. Service was good-quick e-mail responses before and a phone call away while there (if the owner was not already on site). More than worth the asking price for a room.
4.8 on January 14, 2013
We had a peaceful stay in this home and the host was extremely gracious. Understand that this home is quite near the center of Intercourse, not too far in the country.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Carriage Corner. The daily breakfast was very good and the conversations were great. Talking to people from all over the states and Canada was very interesting. The rooms are spacious, well kept and most of all very comfortable. Gordon was very helpful in explaining the area and sites of interest. You have to attend the Amish family dinner. What an experience! We would definitely consider coming back.
5 on November 24, 2012
This is our second stay at Carriage Corner and we will stay there again for sure when we return to the area. The prices are very reasonable and we find that the hospitality exceeds expectations. The morning breakfast was very good and Gordon is an excellent host and very personable. He is very knowledgeable and will provide you with ideas of what to experience in the area. He makes you feel very welcome and at times it seems like your in your own home. You will be glad you stayed here!
4.8 on November 18, 2012
Have stayed at the Carriage Corner several times. The rooms are great and Gordon, the host, always has good information and recommendations for what you want to do. One time while in the area I stayed at another B&B which left me disappointed so I make sure I book my stay at the Carriage Corner before planning the rest of my trip.

We'd come back in a minute!

My wife and I like to visit Lancaster, Pa. often. We have stayed in a few places but after finding Carriage Corner we have returned at least 10 times. This is the only place we stay. Carriage Corner is run by a warm friendly and very helpful man, Gordon Schuit. His breakfasts are out-of-this-world. Carriage corner is very clean with comfortable rooms. The room rates are very good and Carriage Corner is situated in a great place for sight seeing, shopping and dining. We will continue to visit Carriage Corner and just returned from there and look forward to a visit again next year.
5 on November 06, 2012
The innkeeper is passionate about his job. He is there to help with suggestions for attractions in the area. The breakfast every morning was gourmet, and eating together with other guests was lively and very enjoyable.

We had wonderfully delicious breakfast each morning. Gordon was a delightful host. Gordon helped us with planning our daily day trips in the area and answered all our questions. When the tornado hit close to where we were, Gordon was so attentative to our comfort. We felt truely love and cared about by his actions.

Well located in heart of Amish countryside. On arrival, Gordon seemed friendly and helpful with map and directions. The bed room and ensuite shower room were clean and well presented - but no hair drier. The lounge was well furnished with relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was served at 8:30prompt and all guests sat around one table - we were a couple of minutes late and made to feel a little ackward to see other guests waiting to start breakfast. Also whilst we were at breakfast we were a little surprised that our room was stripped of all towels and all the windows opened wide.
4.2 on October 02, 2012
We had stayed here before in the plum room and really enjoyed it. We ended up in the strawberry room this time and I was a little disappointed with the size of the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable though and we still had a great time.
5 on September 30, 2012
We had a clean, quiet, private room. I'm disabled and finicky about mattresses, and this one was superb. Gordon is congenial without being "overboard." He provides a delicious, filling breakfast, and provides an atmosphere in which guests can talk comfortably in a big, sunny kitchen/dining area. Doesn't get any better.
5 on September 27, 2012
Gordon made our stay one to remember. I cannot describe how lovely and hospitable the hosts were. Gordon provided detailed daily plans for us which without we would be lost. And of course the home cooked breakfasts were world class!

I just remember our great american holidays we spent in July 2011 and realized I never wrote a review about your B&B. My husband and our 3 teenage-daughters spent 5 days at Gordon`s and Gwen`s place - and we loved it! We aren`t very religious too, like someone else mentioned before - so my husband and my daughters felt a bit comfortable the first day sitting and praying with people they don`t know. But I tell you what: whenever we talk about our stay in the States - my husband and the girls tell me that they loved spending parts of our stay there and that it was the place they loved most. The rooms were really big and comfortable and absolutly cozy and clean (we stayed in the Cranberry-Room, the girls in the Lemon-Room) and the breakfast was great. We had 2 lovely dinners with 2 other guests and a very nice experience at an amish family. Gordon was a very caring and polite host, giving us good suggestions and moments of great laughter. Thank you. Unfortunatley we did not make it this year, but we hope to meet him again in the next years.

My wife and I haven't tried a new Bed & Breakfast in a while. It was a great new find. We expect to stay here again in the future. It is a very nicely kept place. We felt we were in a very classy place. The room was very romantic and elegant. The bathroom was beautiful. The Breakfast was very good and satisfying.

My new wife and I aren't particularly "bed and breakfast" people - we enjoy our privacy. But, we received a gift certificate for Carriage Corner and decided to try it out. The food was wonderful, our host Gordon was very pleasant, and the room was lovely. We stayed in the "lemon room".

As we were a very late check in Gordon, worked with us on that. Everything was very nice, The only issue we had was that we drive a Ford Excursion and the parking area is a bit on the small side. Otherwise we shall stay there again.

This is the 3rd time my friend and I have stayed at Carriage Corner B&B. We absolutely love it here! Gordon is an amazing host and always makes us feel so welcomed. The rooms are immaculate and tastefully decorated. We usually stay in the Plum Room which is large and comfortable. Breakfast is very good and we always look forward to meeting other guests who are staying here. I recommend this B&B to anyone who is visiting the Lancaster area. You will not be disappointed! : )
5 on August 17, 2012
This B&B was our first visit to a B&B. It was all we expect of it. It was like visiting a Uncle. Gordon was helpfull and friendly. And respected also our privacy. The room had free wifi, was clean and big enough for the 3 of us. The breakfast was good and more than enough.. When we are in Lancaster again, we defenitely stay with Gordon! Hopee the stroopwafels were tasty. Van Bilsen Family The Netherlands

Only stayed 1 night and was happy with our accommodations. Our room was clean and neat and the bed very comfortable! Breakfast was wonderful and meeting the other guest very nice. Only down side was the parking - not much room and located on a very busy corner. I would probably go back for another stay. Maryland

Everything was great; accommodations, food, surroundings and especially the owner/manager. Gordon does a wonderful job. We spent time talking with him and the other guests, (Both nights we stayed, all rooms were booked.) It was our anniversary and we are already planning another trip for next year and will most likely stay at Carriage Corner again. Thanks Gordon for everything.

The Carriage Corner B&B is located on a quiet corner just before all the shops on the main drag. The split-level home is quaint and immaculate. The decor is very tasteful country without being kitschy. Gordon, the owner, is very warm and inviting and knowledgeable of the area. We were presented with a map where he outlined some activities based on our tastes and he highlighted which options were open on a Sunday. We stayed in the Cranberry room, which is the only room upstairs, along with the common area and dining room. Our room had a large private bathroom. On the bed was a hand-stitched Amish quilt which was beautifully done and quite expensive. In the room were lots of nice little touches like a black makeup towel in the restroom, extra pillows in the closet and a folder with a brief history of the area along with local restaurants, shops and activities. There is also an outside deck in the rear with tables and chairs, and a gazebo out front. Both are decorated with clear Christmas lights for a romantic feeling. Gordon prefers to serve a family-style breakfast. While there may not be any choices, there was some variety. The breakfast was really delicious. Gordon does ask his guests about food allergies upon check-in. Grace is said on Sundays so if you are non-religious, just anticipate that. There is no pressure to participate, so you can just sit quietly and respectfully while it is said. Breakfast is served promptly at 8:30 am which may be early for some but since everything shuts down so early in the area, we found ourselves going to bed earlier than normal anyway. All in all, Gordon is a wonderful host and considering the location, decor, food and value I will not hesitate to stay at the Carriage Corner again.
5 on August 10, 2012
This was my very first stay in a B&B, and I have to say, it was much, much more than I ever expected! The food, housekeeping, and fellowship was outstanding! Gordon is a fabulous cook, and treated us to a great breakfast each morning. The entire house was immaculate, and very well decorated, with pleanty of reading material on the Amish & the Lancaster area. I plan on returning next year, God willing.
5 on July 30, 2012
I have stayed here numerous times over the past several years and this bed and breakfast is one of the best I've ever stayed at. I am always impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms, the excellent breakfast, and the outstanding service from the host, Gordon. He is very helpful in suggesting places to visit and dine and will even give directions and/or help with reservations. My one suggestion is that I would like to have an earlier breakfast than the one sitting at 8:30.- this is the one of the few b and b's where the only sitting is this late.
5 on July 28, 2012
We loved this B&B. It was extremely clean and the breakfasts were delicious. It was centrally located to many attractions. On our next visit to the Lancaster area, we will definitely stay here again!

My stay in Lancaster County was a jumbled last minute flurry of activity with side trips taking me far away in other directions. The host at Carriage Corner was accommodating to my unexpected travel changes, late arrivals, and very helpful with directions. He provided some muffins and juice to take on my journeys since I would be missing breakfast. All in all, a beautiful area to visit. Bountiful farmland surroundings, and peace and quiet everywhere.

The Inn is located in a great location .. walking distance to many area shops. Gordon was very helpful, providing us with a map upon arrival and outlining area attractions for us. The room was extremely clean, well decorated and comfortable. We were disappointed however, in that he would not accept our Bed & Breakfast gift card toward payment for the room.

We were made to feel very welcome by Gordon when we arrived at this guest house. He showed us a map of the local area and made recommendations of where to visit/eat during our short stay. Our cosy room had a private bathroom across the corridor, both very clean and had nice Amish touches. There were plenty of Amish books in room to read and find out more about the local area. A good selection of tea and coffee was available in the kitchen as well as a lounge area to sit and read or meet other guests. Gordon served a very tasty breakfast at 8.30am which gave us a chance to chat to the other guests. The guest house is in a fantastic location, close to the main sights and we enjoyed a nice walks in the nearby park to walk off the 'all you can eat' dinner (also recommended by Gordon). Parking available free of charge. Gordon was the perfect host and we would definitely stay there again if in the area.

The Carriage Corner B&B is located very close to the main drag of Intercourse. It's basically a family home converted into a B&B, so the rooms don't have much privacy (which is true of most B&B's I've stayed at). Rooms are comfortable and have a TV. I thought the bath stuff was a little cheap (Dial soap instead of shower gel), but the owner was very thoughtful and accommodating, and the pancakes were delicious. All in all, I'd say it was a good value and a relaxing place to stay.
5 on June 06, 2012
The inn keeper Gordon is such a wonderful person. The rooms are amazing and the prices very reasonable. We've been there multiple times and enjoy it more every time. The breakfasts are amazing. According to the journals in the rooms there are people staying there from all over the world.

My wife and I enjoyed a much needed two-day getaway at Carriage Corner. This was our first extended stay in the area, and we were delightfully impressed with our B & B accommodations. The location was excellent, and Gordon was very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the local culture and attractions. The room rates were very reasonable, and the breakfasts were phenomenal! Gordon was always available for good conversation with those who desired to chat, but was also very respectful of guests' desire for privacy and was never intrusive or overbearing. He was a wonderful host, and it was evident that he truly enjoyed helping his guests have a great experience during their time at the B & B. Oh yeah, and his laugh is contagious :). The area was very serine and peaceful, offering a refreshing time for my wife and I to enjoy together. There was plenty to keep us busy between the shops, shows and scenery. Our trip to Sight and Sound Theatre, along with the many free delicious tastings (fudge, soup, pie, jams) in the shops at Kitchen Kettle Village were some of our favorite attractions. Our least favorite part of the trip was that we weren't able to stay longer. I highly recommend this B & B; you will not be disappointed.

Gordon embarrassed my wife on the final day of our trip. He ruin our trip and we will never stay their again. He gave me the wrong phone number and blamed me for not getting in touch with him. Other guests were asking questions and he was not even there like he said he would be. Very bad people skills and unprofessional in his buisness.

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and I am glad to say it was GREAT. Our host Gordon was very versed in the local area and opportunities that were available to us. From the minute that Gordon emailed his response to my inquiry, I was welcomed into their home. The breakfasts were phenomenal and the attention to comfort was great!!! I experienced an Amish dinner at an Amish home and a wonderful auto tour of the farmlands. Gordon provided us with a quiet atmosphere in which to enjoy a quiet week-end. I will definitely return!

We are a young couple who were delighted with our stay at this B&B in beautiful Amish country. We are new to the B&B experience and we loved the hospitality and community at Carriage Corner. We stayed in the Cranberry Room, which was great for us because it is spacious and is equipped with its own bathroom, which we noticed one of other rooms' bathroom was in the communal hallway. Gordon is a great guide and was very helpful with sights to see, including a driving tour which was cheesy, but awesome. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Lancaster.

This was my second and my boyfriend's first visit to Gordon and Gwen's delightful B&B. Gordon is a delightful and most pleasurable host. His breakfasts are to die for and makes you excited and wondering what tomorrow morning will bring. We have a Lodging Business ourselves and take pride in all of our properties being immaculate, clean and with that down home touch, so that being said we enjoy not having to worry about that when staying at the Corner Carriage B&B, it is spotless! It's always worth the trip whether long or short to stay at the Corner Carriage B&B. Thank you Gordon and Gwen for another wonderful weekend away!

This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and it was wonderful. I enjoyed the genuine hospitality, the quiet and comfy homelife setting, and the yummy food! It is much more personal and the rooms are much cleaner than a hotel stay. We want to come back again and again for more visits!!

My husband and I stayed at Carriage Corner B&B for a weekend in December (2011) and had a wonderful weekend. The rooms and whole house were clean and very homey! We enjoyed ourselves and it was very close to everything- great for site-seeing. The owner is a wonderful man, very welcoming and caring. Breakfasts were AMAZING- he is a great cook! Highly suggest this B&B. CaWe can't wait to return!

Really enjoyed my stay. The hosts are VERY gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were great. Lots of quaint places to shop and eat, yet not too far from more generic & modern shopping & restaurants.

Gordon is a great cook and very informative on the area and all it has to offer. I finally was able to taste his pumpkin pancakes and I was satisfied. The room was perfect sized. And even though we had our bathroom not in our room, it literally was a step away. I liked that it was small. The B&B was decorated for the season. The home was very welcoming and comfortable. It is an excellent location. The experience was amazing and I will return.

Overall, the B&B was a wonderful respite in our travels. The only disappointment was that the waffles, although delicious, were soggy from being kept warm in the oven.

Attention to details made for a very enjoyable stay. The pleasant room was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect to see the area without being on a bustling street. We greatly appreciated the tips on the area from our accomodating host. In general, a welcoming and very well run B&B.

Gordon was very helpful in giving tips about the area and the pumpkin pancakes were delish. This was our first visit to a B&B and really enjoyed being able to talk with visitors as far-flung as Moscow. The house was quiet at night and beds quite comfy. Would definately recommend.

Having traveled the world and stayed in B&Bs in North & South America, Europe and Asia, I’ve got to say that Gordon runs an absolutely top-notch, world-class B&B. His personality is ideally suited to what he does – he is a perfect host because he enjoys it so much. I am writing this after our fourth stay with Gordon (we live in New York, a 3-hour drive away), and we already look forward to coming back to him. This was our first time to stay in a Bed & Breakfast and it was, indeed, a truly wonderful experience. Our host, Gordon, was very helpful and congenial. We really wished out stay could have been longer. It is surely a place to come back to.

We found Gordon, the owner to be so kind and informative. I forgot my jacket at the B&B and before I even noticed it was missing, it arrived in the mail. Gordon is also an amazing cook! Each breakfast was like eating out at a five star restaurant. If your looking for a quite, peaceful getaway then Carriage Corner is the place to go. The Amish culture is interesting and the local farmers markets are a great afternoon event. We loved Carriage Corner and do plan on returning for a second trip!

Everything about Carriage Corner B&B is inviting from the cozy living area to the immaculate bedrooms to the wonderful breakfast and conversation around the table. We have stayed at Carriage Corner two times now and each time was a delight. Gordon is a great host who goes out of his way to accommodate his guests. The price can't be beat and the guests keep coming back!

We had room #3 (not sure of the name). Large room w/ a couch. The bed was very comfortable and had a large bathroom. Everything was very clean. There was literature on just about everything to do in the Lancaster area. Gordon helped w/ a map and directions. The breakfast meals were very well done and were above and beyond basics. Highly recommend.

It was our first experience with B & B and we were delighted in every way with our stay. Gordon was so helpful in advising us of places to visit and arranged for us to have dinner at an Amish home at our request. The breakfasts were different everyday and so much food of excellent quality. We would recommend Carriage Corner to others, and would love to return again if we have the chance. Australian guests.

We looked at staying in Lancaster but the prices were too high for comfort. We chose Carriage Corner primarily for the price but it turned out that the location is much better then in Lancaster. Gordon was very helpful in directing us around the area and the tips and information he sent us before our stay was wonderful. The CD driving tour he has was really worth the time time to do it. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Carriage Corner B&B is truly one of the best weekend getaways I have been blessed to experience. Everything from gorgeous, quiet, serene surroundings to the wonderful hospitality of Gordon, made this place an absolute goldmine of a find. This B&B is clean, extremely comfortable, private and quaint, making this a MUST return B&B. There is plenty to see and experience for any length of stay. I will return to the Carriage Corner several times a year, just to relax and enjoy. If you like to run, the Country roads make it ALL WORTH WHILE, and if you enjoy a glass of wine in the evening, enjoy it outside in comfortable lawn chairs or in a romantic low lit gazebo.... Book this B&B. You will NOT be disappointed! MUST BOOK VIP TOUR THROUGH 'AMISH EXPERIENCE' TO MAKE THIS VISIT COMPLETE. WHAT A RARE TREAT!!!!!!

Gordon was a great host and the B&B was absolutely beautiful. The house and the area are very picturesque and the room (we stayed in the Plum room because of Gordon's generosity) was very clean, spacious and tasteful. The bathroom was very clean as well and Gordon provided shampoo and shower gel. In the morning, Gordon made a delicious fresh breakfast for us and the other two guests. We truly recommend staying at Carriage Corner if you visit the area, you won't be disappointed!!

Mr. Gorden was a very nice gentleman and we enjoyed our stay. I was a little disappointed that the rooms were below ground level. Seems as though the basement was turned into rooms. The ventilation was not good and there were no overhead fans.

My husband and I have been coming to Lancaster for the last 3 years but this was our first stay at this bed and breakfast. We will definitely be returning again. The breakfasts were amazing and we enjoyed the conversations around the table. It was interesting getting to meet people from other areas. What can we say about Gordon? He made you feel right at home. He was very helpful with information about the area. Gordon goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast. You cannot find anything for this price and receive this kind of service!

If you want a clean, nice and pleasant place to stay for a minimum amount of money, this is the place for you. If you want a flexible, available host, then you may want to try another place. When I went upstairs to get an early cup of coffee (about 7:15 a.m.), I was told that the host didn't want people in the upstairs area until 7:30 and was begrudgingly given a cup of coffee to take back to my room. There was never an offer of cold drinks or bottled water from the frig as we've experienced in so many B&Bs. The breakfast was generous and complete, but lacked elegance; we were reminded often to not set our serving dishes on the table or central runner and the host's watchful eye made sure that we adhered to his wishes. Our host was full of helpful information about the area and made several outstanding recommendations for entertainment and dining. It was a pleasant experience all-in-all.

The best part of our stay was sitting around the breakfast table with other guests sharing a hearty homecooked meal (cooked by the innkeeper himself), sharing stories and laughing together. It was delightful to sit outside after dinner and watch the local activities, and the buggies clip clopping along the road. Very clean, comfortable.
3.4 on July 27, 2011
We stayed with Gordon for two nights and it was a pleasant stay. The rates were definitely unbeatable and the food was good. We are not religious people so saying Grace before breakfast was a bit uncomfortable but we didn't mind it. The rooms were clean though the bed was unbelievably squeaky and the mattress was not very comfortable. There was also some kind of tapping noises that woke us up at night. For the price, we had a great stay and recommend the B&B to budget travelers.
Upon reading the review, we responded to this report. We discovered that a previous issue had reoccured. Our furniture store rectified a similar squeek twice before, but our assessment was that our guests in that room would benefit by a new bed and so we purchased one. Thank you so much for your honest review, as we truly want our guests to have a relaxing and pleasant stay with us.

This was our first experience with a B&B so we were a bit nervous. As soon as we walked through the door, we were immediately put at ease! I wish my home was as clean as this place! We stayed in the Pineapple room, and although we were told it was small, my husband and I thought the size was perfectly fine. It is large enough for the bed, a desk, two chairs, plus our luggage. The bathroom was directly across the hall, and, in keeping with the rest of the house, spotless. The breakfast, as many have said, is the best around! Gordon cooks a wonderful variety with everything being incredibly delicious. We loved starting the meal with prayer and getting to know the other guests. Gordon and Gwen were so warm and helpful. Be sure to ask them about the driving tour and the walking path! At night, we enjoyed sitting in the chairs in the front yard, watching the fireflies as well as the horse and buggies trotting by. We didn't have any complaints and hope to return soon :)

The features marked outstanding above are important but the most significant aspects of our stay were the hospitable atmosphere in Carriage Corner and the warmth, good humour and conviviality of the host, Gordon Schuit. We appreciated his assistance with locating what would be the memorable aspects of our stay and could not recommend this B&B highly enough! Trish Bartlett and Terry Sullivan

My husband and I had never stayed in a B&B before this visit. From the moment Gordon met us at the door we knew it would be memorable. He was extremely hospitable, friendly and informative with his many years of living in this area. His directions and advice were "right-on" and we also enjoyed the other guests company at breakfast. Gordon: you are the best host. Thanks again.

Very nice little B & B. Very clean, nice rooms. Good price, fresh made breakfast. Innkeeper is a bit rigid and uptight. The hallway and rooms have an overwhelming perfume smell because there is sachet and popouri in each room, so if one is sensitive to perfume that is a problem.

My wife and I enjoyed staying here immensely! It was my wife's first experience with a B&B, and it met all of her expectations! Gordon was very helpful and friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. And the breakfasts he prepared were perfect, and more than enough! After having one of his breakfasts, you needn't bother with lunch! The Amish area is fantastic and one of my favorite areas to visit. I wish we could have spent more time there. Laying awake at night, hearing the clip clop of the Amish horse and buggies going past was very soothing (I left the window open just for this reason). It is amazing how they have integrated their lives into the area. Or maybe it is the other way around?

Gordon is a warm and humorous host! He is also an excellent cook! We had a great stay, and felt very relaxed in this beautiful, cosy and hospitable b&b. We took a walk around the neighborhood on the evening of our stay and it was peaceful and delightful to be in a small town away from the hustle and bustle of a big city (we had just come from New York that day). Certainly it was a big attraction for us to experience something of the Amish way of life and there is a HUGE amount to explore and do in the area. However, it adds a certain icing on the cake to be staying in a B&B that has books on the history and culture of the Amish, and itself embodies the Amish values of kindness, love and forgiveness. It was wonderful to just stay here for one night. We felt that we had received much more than the price of our stay. I would definitely recommend this B&B, expecially if you are in need of refreshment and peace. Try and stay for more than one night if you can!

Anyone wishing to enjoy the Amish Country in PA. need to find and make a reservation to stay at the Carriage Corner Bed and Breakfast. Our stay at The Carriage Corner B and B was the perfect antidote to our busy city life. We could not have been more welcomed by Gordon- he was very accomodating with regards to our late arrival. Nestled in the heart of Amish country is the Carriage Corner. It is off the main highway and very quiet. It is hard to find words suitable to describe my recent stay at Carriage Corner. Accomodation - spotless, cosy, homely to start. Hosts: Gordon & Gwen will always be very special people to me. I was travelling solo, my few days in Intercourse a break from the big city. I was welcomed into the family home immediately Gordon's determination that I did not miss out on getting the most from the area because I was car less is something I will always appreciate. The layout of the house ensured that all the guests got to meet each other and converse and I personally have made friends whom I have no doubt will be meeting with again sometime in the future, while still allowing more than enough opportunity to relax and have some private time. As well as meeting wonderful people, I was introduced to an entirely new cusine sampling some authentic PA foods cooked and presented beautifully by Gordon daily. The area is lovely also great for a relaxing few days, lots of areas to explore and it is true, the location is perfect for getting a great insight into Amish life. I could go on and on - listen people if you are going to PA. Lancaster county, do not even think of looking elsewhere for accomodation - Carriage Corner should be your only choice - it will be mine next time I go to PA.

My husband and I have stayed in a number of B & B's, including Carriage Corner, where we've stayed half a dozen times. Gordon has amazing breakfasts and always asks if there is anything you don't eat. He is also very helpful in suggesting places to visit and restaurants, including casual eating to fine dining. My only criticism is that this is the only B and B I've stayed in where the towels are replaced and bed linen changed for the next guest while we are eating breakfast and haven't checked out, although Gordon knows that we will be leaving before the 10:30 check out time.

From the very beginning I felt like an intruder. As soon as we were shown our room, we were asked to complete the financial details of our stay and make full payment. I have never been to a B&B where you had to pay for water, soft drinks and that no coffee or tea was available anytime after breakfast. I have never been to a B&B where you had a curfew. 10:30 lights out. Now the entire house was rented by our one family, even though the innkeeper kept insisting that one member was not with our group (due to a later reservation). To be constantly looked after for dirty shoes, trailing yarn scraps and to be told about them - if your house is a museum, don't rent the rooms. While being respectful of proper care of furniture and the use of someone's home, a little dirt should be expected but never mentioned to the guest. We are a very relaxed group, and travel well and often together. WE know how to behave we don't need to be told. (or asked a favor). I would not recommend Carriage Corner B&B to any of my friends.
Occasionally there's an important review where one has to stop, think, evaluate and determine how we can provide for a better guest experience....groups are at times more of a challenge because of specialized expectations -- from the reservation process forward on this one I felt as if I was on a journey down Pikes Peak where the breaks gave out; Clearly there were multiple communication problems and misperceptions. So I'm trying to add greater understanding and clarity in all that we do; i.e. this past weekend I found myself tweaking what is said at check-in when the keys on the chain were explained. It's usual to say that the plain silver key is for outside doors, so if one gets back and the door is locked they will be able to get in; we've always indicated that outside doors to the B&B are locked if I go out during the day, or in the evening, at 10:00 P.M...now I add, but don't worry, there's NO CURFEW, you can come and go as you wish! This group definitely was a respectful group, but I guess my teasing the woman with the snippet trail of yarn was misperceived...I thought I was having fun with her!! I surely hope there was some enjoyment in the weekend here among beautiful farmland and the Amish as well as at the dinner that was attended in the home of Amish friends of ours; as I recall it was a beautiful Fall Weekend. So, this is a good lesson for me on how I'm coming across, how I am perceived .... I am so sorry for this difficult experience. It's true, we prefer to handle the finances after orientation and getting people settled into their room; we give three hours for check in each day; normal Sunday mornings following breakfast service involve complete changeovers and time is more limited. We are priced very fairly for the area so an honor cup sits on top of the guest refrigerator - bottled water, .25 cents and sodas, .50 cents.

Gordon was a wonderful host and our room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We just stayed for 1 night but would've liked to stay longer because of the positive experience. If you're looking for a great (and coincidentally inexpensive) bed and breakfast, plus a superb breakfast, choose this one! Plus it is close to everything you'd want to see in Lancaster.

My husband and I booked the last room available which was the smallest room with a bathroom across the hall and in the basement. It was the cheapest also, so we weren't expecting too much either. We were pleasantly surprised! Yes the room was smallish but everything was in it and we were totally comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and there was even a small flat screen TV on the wall. The furnishings were lovely and everything was spotless. The breakfasts were all homemade and served in the dining room in style. The host was friendly and helpful. We would definately stay there again.

Our host was there each morning with an excellent breakfast. YUM! It was most interesting to have international guests to talk with in the mornings. A very nice getaway, and especially nice to wake up to "clip-clop, clip-clop," of the buggies going by in front of the B&B.

This was a great B&B. Charming room and in room bathroom were top of the line and very reasonable price. Bed and pillows very comfy. Hot breakfast was very tasty and presentation was great too. We only stayed overnight but wish we had more time there. Innkeeper worked very hard and provided great service. We would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place to stay. Reasonable rates. Home-like atmosphere. Especially liked the Cranberry room. Gordon was friendly and very helpful with suggestions for local attractions.

We found this B&B on the internet and really didn't know what to expect. The stay exceeded our widest dreams. The cranberry room was magnificent and the meals were outstanding. Each day was a different theme and was prepared with love. The location is great as it is in the center of all the activities. We are sold on B&B and will definitly be backi to this one.

My daughter and I stayed in the Lemon room for a "Girls Weekend" of antique shopping. Gordon told us the best places to go for what we were looking for and cooked amazing breakfasts to start our days. There are so many little touches to make you feel comfortable...we felt we were staying at a good friends home rather than at a 'business'. There alot of options when considering a place to stay in the area...but THIS is THE place to stay...we'll be back!...oh...the location...could not ask for a better combination of close to places of interest and just far enough away for peace and quiet.

This B&B was awesome. I don't have any problems with our stay there. We stayed in the Plum room and it was very nice. The breakfast's that Gordon cooked were out of this world. He uses fresh ingredients when he can and some comes straight from his garden. He also will help you plan your day and give you some pointers also. Sitting on the deck before breakfast listening to the calls of nature and the clip clop of horses hoofs as the buggies go by is worth the trouble of getting up early. Deffinately will stay there next time we are in town.

DH & I stayed here in November 2009 and could not have asked for more from a B&B getaway. When you walk in you are suddenly transported to a warm, welcoming, tranquil world where the hectic pace and worries of everyday life magically melt away. The place is absolutely beautiful without being overly done, and common rooms as well as our own "Cranberry" room were immaculately clean. The settings on the breakfast table were lovely, and Gordon's culinary creations were down-home and bountiful. Our breakfasts included the likes of fresh-squeezed juices, homemade warm chunky applesauce, pumpkin pancakes (which were everyone's favorites), oatmeal pancakes, potato latkes, broiled tomatoes, local sausages... everything was hot and delicious. He is warm, welcoming and a font of local knowledge and a just what you want from an innkeeper - there when you need him but respectful of your privacy when you want to relax and be alone. This B&B is centrally located in the very heart of Amish country and very close to many Amish crafts markets, while also being a short 20-minute or so drive from the world of chain stores, restaurants and retail outlets on Route 30. We've stayed at quite a few Lancaster County B&B's over the years and found Carriage Corner to be the best in location, value for your dollar and hospitality. We recommend it completely and will definitely return as well.

Carriage Corner is the first B&B that my wife and I have ever experienced. On our way home we both agreed that this is the only way to go. The Carriage Corner’s room, bathroom and the house was very neat and clean. The breakfast was a healthy meal and a very nice way to start the day. Gordon was a great host and really helped with our daily planning of places to visit. If we ever visit Lancaster overnight we would not hesitate to stay at Carriage Corner.

We always choose the Carriage Corner B&B when we plan to visit & stay in the Lancaster, Pa. area. Good location, immaculately clean, great hospitality and delicious food is always found at this B & B. The best B&B we've found from Maine to Virginia and beyond.

Our stay at the Carriage Corner B&B was excellent! The room was exceptionally clean, was bright and pleasant, and had a comfortable homey feel. A television was in the room allowing us to catch the weather before heading out for our days adventure in Amish Country. There was no refrigerator in the room, but Gordon allows the use of a full sized refrigerator for any goodies you might bring home. You can also find beverages in the same refrigerator for a nominal cost. (It’s been a long time since I have seen someone working off the honors system…very refreshing). The connecting bathroom was also clean and modern and even came with amenities that made you feel at home. The only down side to staying on the bottom floor of the B&B was the creaky floor above. (Guests on the first floor could be heard clearly on the lower level and may keep any light sleepers awake). Then in the morning we were greeted by Chef Gordon and his amazing breakfasts. Gordon was even able to accommodate our special dietary needs each and every morning. It was fun to eat at the same table with the other guests. By the end of our stay we even made a few new friends. Gordon was also very knowledgeable about the area and spent time showing us a map of the area and some places we should definitely visit. He was also able to recommend some restaurants as well as provide us with a few coupons specific for activities we were interested in. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone. And we will definitely be staying here the next time we are in the Lancaster area. So if you are looking for a home away from home, definitely plan to stay at the Carriage Corner B&B.

We have never stayed at a BnB ever before--we felt we wanted to try the experience. We are a deaf couple, and our first experience with Gordon was really awesome! He was patient and explained everything we needed to know. And he gave us information that we were not aware about, which made our stay more enjoyable. We loved the food, and the ambiance of the bnb itself. We would go back again ourselves if the opporunity arises!!! Thank you, Gordon for making our first experience soo soo soo enjoyable!

My husband and I stayed for one night passing through Pennsylvania. We had the Pineapple Room, which was lovely, comfortable and very quiet. Our stay was restful and refreshing. Gordon greeted us warmly and was available to help with advice, directions, etc. We had delicious oatmeal pancakes for breakfast and enjoyed chatting with other guests. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

For first time guests of a B&B we loved it. Very clean, delicious food, friendly proprietors. It gave us a calming, very homey feeling. Definitely will go back there again.

Of all the places my wife and i visited in our four month tour, the serenity and quiet beauty of Intercourse, PA, delighted us the most. For me Gettysburg, for Irene the Quilts. Life is still not the scurring to and fro of unimportant meetings and happenings. Do it again, yes, with the Lords blessing Deo Volente.

This was our first experience in a b&b costing less than $100 a night, and it easily compared to anything from $150 a night and up.

This was a very nice and clean house. Breakfast was great. We rented the entire house with our family. Definately not a place where kids are very welcome. We asked if we could make coffee and was told there was a coffee house down the street. Other than the breakfast would consider it to be a nice hotel.
Guests often comment on the good ("strong") coffee and we have it ready at 7:30 a.m. (unfortunately not earlier as the Common Room and Kitchen are above two guest rooms and we work "quiet as a mouse" before that "common wake up hour"). Generally there is coffee in a carafe available through the day, and if a group requested coffee in the evening we would make it; however, we do not open the B&B kitchen for guest use for safety reasons (twice we've had people put an electric kettle on the stove and fire was averted through smoke alarms...). In view of our child policy we have a number of area Farm B&Bs that we refer families to who have children and find many are eager for and appreciative of that kind of opportunity. One guest room of our 5 rooms in the B&B was rented by another guest during the stay of this family so that changed the senerio and setting a little (vs. one group renting the entire B&B---the later affords considerably more flexability for "run of the house") The suggestions rendered will give us opportunity to ponder how we could set a guest coffee station someplace in the B&B....until then we'll continue to make coffee upon request.

The Carriage Corner B & B is a gem. It exceeded all my expecations. It is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, well located within a few minutes walking distance of the village whilst sitting on the edge of beautiful Amish farm vistas, the common room is very comfortable and inviting, the breakfasts outstanding and nourishing, the dining table set to perfection. Above all, the hosts are delightful, warm, and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending the Carriage Corner. Enjoy!
