We had an amazing weekend at this B&B. Cozy accommodations with historic charm, and the best breakfasts I have ever had in my life. The next time I visit Denver, this will be my first and only choice.

The aroma of breakfast will wake you up gently each morning. It was quiet for being in such a large City. Excellent B&B! I sure hope to visit again.

This is a great place to stay. Historic, elegant architecture, beautiful interior woodwork, in a great neighborhood and the meals are first rate, maybe the best chef in Denver. Many thanks for your great hospitality, a visit to remember.

Gourmet food each morning, convenient location, spacious and quite rooms. The hosts are warm and engaging and quick to offer suggestions, advice or service. This is a great place to stay in every way. We will certainly be back! Jerry and David

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Capitol Hill Mansion while in Denver for our daughter's wedding and we had the best time staying at the Inn. The owner, Karl, and his daughter, Bailey, are hospitable beyond words! Our daughter and future son-in-law joined us for breakfast one morning and our daughter and her maid of honor joined us for breakfast the 2nd morning. We enjoyed a wonderful gormet breakfast outside in the "secret gardein" as our daughter referred to it. The Inn is in pristine condition and the rooms are beyond comfortable. Our room, on the 3rd floor, had a small balcony that was charming. The location is so convenient to all of the cultural offerings of Denver but yet affords a great "neighborhood" experience, as well. The atmosphere is so laid back and the other guests seemed to be seasoned "B and B" travelers, as we are, too. But even if this is your first "B and B" experience, you will be very comfortable and will never go back to impersonal hotels again :) Don't miss this gem! Our daughter, who lives just 2 blocks away, said that she and her husband are going to stay there sometime just to be part of this historical masterpiece!

For Bed & Breakfast lovers, this is as good as it gets. You will enjoy the well kept rooms and the Western hospitality of Carl & Bailey. Capitol Hill is family owned and operated and it has the feel of a home away from home.

Never have I stayed at a cleaner, friendlier, more comfortable bed and breakfast. The food is the best and the service and staff are incredible. In fact, we've all become good friends! Carl & Bailey understand what it takes to run an exemplary bed and breakfast!

As a writer, I often need a quiet escape to plow through a manuscript. Capitol Hill Mansion is perfect... lots of places to work, close to great coffee, and one of Carl's breakfasts will feed you for the day. Amazing. If I'm not working, it's a great getaway for me and my husband!

We had a lovely spring evening with a walk to the nearby Denver Art Museum. The Inn is beautiful, the owners very nice and the food was delicious. I really appreciated how clean everything was, and they didn't miss a thing in making the stay a pleasant one. Good job

I really liked this B&B and it was wonderful to be able to stretch out in my large room (the Forget-Me-Not) and gather my thoughts and emotions after a 5-state and 9-night road trip. This old and historical B&B is in the heart of the Capitol District but isn't noisy. I had a beautiful four-poster bed that was very comfortable and cozy. My breakfast was hearty and filling and Carl and Bailey were so friendly. Off-road parking with free Wi-Fi enabled me to relax and catch up on my travels before getting a good night's sleep. I liked using the old-fashioned writing desk and also loved the turret in my room, complete with long windows! Loved the décor and lovely appointments throughout the house. Adrienne

Simply one of the best bed & breakfasts in which we’ve vacationed. Immaculate in its cleanliness, this beautifully restored Victorian mansion is a comfortable mix of Victorian style with modern amenities such as internet wi-fi, gas fireplaces and electronic security. Our top floor room contained a deep soft comfy queen size bed with plenty of pillows, windows with a pleasant neighborhood view, an excellent selection of coffee and teas with a hot pot and quality soap and hair sundries. The room in which we stayed, named The Pasque Flower Room, most importantly sported an irresistible and often used 6’ Jacuzzi tub housed in the mansions turret. The morning of each day of our stay Carl, the mansion owner, cooked up a different sumptuous gourmet breakfast for my girlfriend and me and would, later in the day, sometimes surprise us with the occasional unexpected confectionary treat. The Capitol Hill Mansion is not only easy walking distance from most every point of interest in downtown Denver, it also offers ample car park spaces. A premium commodity in Denver. The owner and his family helped make our five night Denver vacation pleasantly memorable.

We stayed at the Capitol Hill Mansion B&B two nights while in Denver visiting family. Our son and daughter had given us a gift certificate for one night as a Christmas present. We stayed in the Bluebell suite which was roomy, clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the outside entrance. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The owners, Carl and Bailey were extremely nice and very responsive to our requests.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at the Capitol Inn Mansion - it was beautiful, rooms were lovely, decorated to the period. The service was excellent - the breakfast was amazing - waffels with whipped cream and peanut butter. We would recommend this to everyone! Nicci and David

Lovely and comfortable Bluebell Suite-enjoyed the generous space and the decor is very restful. The living room has a great fireplace-perfect to sit and watch the snow fall outside. Breakfast was wonderful, and great cookies! We would happily stay here again.

My husband and I had an absolutely memorable stay at the Capital Hill Bed and Breakfast in Denver Colorado. It was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and being our son lives in Denver, we will be back when we visit again. The room was beautiful and very clean, the home is historical and everything in it; furniture, bedding, pictures and decorations were to match. The food was delicious and the table was set beautifully! The people who own and operate it were so pleasant and not intrusive at all. They are there if you need them or you can be as private as you please. My favorite memory is sitting by the fireplace with a cup of coffee as I watched the snow falling out the picture window!

Just a single night there and will have to say it couldn't have been better. I'm a guy and I don't really get the same appreciation as my girlfriend does over that, kind of stuff but I was even giddy about how nice and relaxing it was. 10 out of 10

My husband and I stayed here for a total of 3 nights during February 2013. We selected the Snowlover Room which had an amazing mural of an alpine forest on 2 walls. There was a lovely balcony that we enjoyed sitting on. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was very enjoyable. A great selection of fruits to enjoy as the innkeeper Carl made breakfast. We enjoyed each breakfast immensely. I am very glad that the recipe for the creme brulee french toast is on the website. This is a family run establishment and everyone was so very kind and willing to help with suggestions on restaurants, breweries, activities and neighborhoods to visit. And the advice is spot on. This is a historic mansion and the bathroom set up for this room was a bit unique. Shower was in a converted closet so you could look out into the room from the shower, and into the shower stall from the room. So, best for couples :-) The radiator also pumps out a lot of heat, so be aware you may have to turn it back a bit. The Snowlover room is on the third floor - so if you are from sea level and not accustomed to the altitude, be prepared to be breathing heavily and hoping for an oxygen tank by the time you reach the top (especially if you are carrying your luggage). We definitely plan to stay here when we visit Denver again. Thank you Carl & Bailey!

I have had the privilege of staying at Capitol Hill a number of times. Each room has its own charm and special amenities from an in-room hot tub to glassed in or outdoor porches. The food is exquisite, and Carl and Bailey are welcoming and attentive hosts. I look forward to my next return to Denver and cannot recommend Capitol Hill Mansion highly enough.

Capital Hill Mansion was the perfect place for a night away from the kids. Although we live in town, we certainly felt like we were on vacation! Carl and his staff pay attantion to every detail and are very welcoming. The mansion is beautiful and very well-maintained. Breakfast was amazing! Capitol Hill is a wonderful neighborhood to explore with great dining and beautiful historic homes. I definately recommend Capital Hill Mansion for visitors and locals looking for a staycation as well!

I stayed at the Capital Hill Bed and Breakfast for three nights. During my stay the service was excellent, the rooms very clean and the staff very friendly. The gourmet breakfasts each morning were outstanding. I would highly recommend this B & B!

We stayed in the BlueBelle suite for four nights. We had private access to our suite from the garden. The room was perfect every day of our stay. Carl served us warm hospitality and gourmet breakfasts each morning we were there. We could not have asked for a better room or host for our vacation in Denver! Vickie and David from Ohio

While visiting family in Denver for the holidays my husband and I had the opportunity to stay at CHM on Christmas Eve. It was a lovely experience complete with a huge beautifully decorated Christmas tree and the owner's festive guord collection. Carl/owner and daughter Bailey were the perfect hosts. Christmas breakfast was excellent complete with individually wrapped fresh banana bread. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the B&B.

We stayed in the Bluebell room in March. This review is quite difficult to write because I have a very mixed impression of the Inn. Each good aspect seemed to be tinged with something that was less than enjoyable. The inn is spectacular looking and is situated in a neighborhood where one large home is more lovely than the next yet walking the neighborhood one can’t help notice the large quantity of vagrants which makes you feel less than secure though, to be clear, nothing bad happened to us. Our unease may have only been because we were visitors and, therefore, unused to the area. The interior of the home was so interesting with its original woodwork and tasteful furniture. Unlike many B&B’s which only seem to exist as an excuse for the owner to write-off his antique collection this home was not stuffed to the gills with tchotchkes. Every piece seemed placed for comfort or enjoyment and fit well with the décor and time period of the house. That said; I do not recommend the Bluebell room. It is situated at the back of the house and has to be accessed via the kitchen which means you will be awoken to the sounds of breakfast is being prepared. The owner did a fantastic job of providing fragrance free towels and sheets yet the mattress in the room was completely worn out. The room was quite cold when we arrived though the owner quickly rectified that. Added bonuses in the very large Bluebell room were the lovely private porch and small kitchenette area. The breakfast was large and tasty though a bit on the simple side (which is not always a bad thing). The owner was kind enough to call us a cab to take us to the airport so we did not have to worry about leaving too early or late. Overall I would stay at the Inn in the future though not in the same room.

If you want to stay in a wonderful late 1800's mansion home that has the best breakfast in town, then the Capitol Hill Mansion is the place to stay. Wonderful accommodation and a fabulous breakfast. Semi dried Souffle for breakfast with brioche...yum! This accommodation is very close to Denver CBD and a great point to start from when getting around. Local eateries also excellent. Forget me Knot Room was great for a quick overnight. If you were staying extra days would suggest a slightly bigger room. Thank you Carl & Bailey. We will keep you on our radar for our next trip to Denver.

We stayed at Capitol Hill Mansion Bed & Breakfast Inn in late October this year. The mansion is beautiful and our room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic--baked french toast that was very yummy and rich. I was glad there was off-street parking--I don't know how we would have found a spot! I highly recommend this inn.

The friendliness and service is outstanding. This was our first stay arriving from Europe. My husbond was driving down from Omaha arriving early in the morning. He had no problems getting the room, although we were set to arrive late afternoon and he truely enjoyed his chats with Baily and Chris while waiting for the rest of the family. We had 2 rooms on the 3rd floor and it worked perferkt for us. The kids loved to walk barefoot on the thick carpet and really felt it was their second home. Breakfast was outstanding with a new serving each morning and a friendly personal chat. We truely felt like friends of the family. Thanks a lot. You made us feel so welcome although we were far from home. The Mansion is conveniently located in walking distance from downtown Denver

The breakfasts were amazing with fresh fruit and tasty foods. We stayed in the Snowlover room with the balcony. It was great sitting on the balcony and just relaxing. There is some street/neighborhood noise but definitely worth the stay. The B&B is beautiful and we were able to walk into the center of town with ease.

The Capital Hill B & B far exceeded our expectations. Carl, the owner and chef, and his lovely daughter Bailey are the ultimate Innkeepers. They were attentive and thoughtful - and really made us feel at home. The entire place is tastefully decorated and the breakfasts are out of this world. We really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it, if visiting Denver.

The gourmet breakfasts were outstanding. Carl makes homemade crescent rolls - so good. He also made a chocolate cake with gnash icing. The rooms were big and beautiful. I hope to return for another stay there - very soon. Carl and Bailey were very helpful in recommending places to eat and see.

Somewhat new to the B&B experience we were so completely thrilled that I wonder at our luck! The house itself is lovely, beautifully and comfortably furnished, quiet (we had the Paintbrush room – right downstairs), and close enough to everything we wanted to see that we walked "to town" several times a day. Eric (delicious breakfasts!), Carl and Bailey were both gracious and entertaining throughout our stay. I can't recommend it enough!
