Excellent choice for Camden/Rockland

4.8 on September 29, 2017

The Belmont Inn is a lovely, and authentic, period inn. If our particular accommodation (the Jo Spiller Room) was a good example, rooms are daylight filled due to the smart window dressing, bathroom well appointed, rooms ample in size and comfortably furnished. Cleanliness is fine, even pieces which may be old are cared for and clean - not always the case in period houses. No frou-frou (a good thing). Pillows, blankets and fresh air are ample. Beautiful garden; quiet street. Breakfast was varied each day and included a "specialty" prepared by the owner. As with many b&bs it was the time to befriend others staying the nights - and the owner also obviously enjoys it as a time to greet guests, give tourist recommendations, and share her history as well as that of the inn. The inn is very well located, walkable to downtown Camden, a number of excellent restaurants, and the harbor. An excellent choice with the added pleasure of an interesting and knowledgeable owner, Anita Zeno.

The Belmont Inn was an enjoyable B & B with exceptional breakfasts. Great location on a quiet street.

Loved my stay at Belmont Inn!

5 on August 05, 2017

I stayed at the Belmont Inn in July 2017 while visiting my daughter at summer camp. It was so comfortable, wonderfully maintained and decorated, had a beautiful wraparound porch and gardens. I sat on a rocking chair each morning, enjoying my coffee looking at the gardens and smelling the salt air. The innkeeper Anita has such a warm personality, and really goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable and memorable. I walked into town center, I think it's less than .5 miles away. It is on a quiet side street just off the Main Street, meaning it was wonderfully quiet while sleeping and relaxing on the porch, instead of cars and motorcycles and trucks blaring in your ears all night and all day. Highly recommend the Belmont for anyone traveling in the Camden area!

Our happy place in Camden

5 on July 12, 2017

This is indeed our happy place in Camden, Maine. We love staying at the Belmont Inn. We happened upon it in 2010 by luck and come back again and again; this time for 5 nights. While we find the inn very charming and comfortable, the inn keeper, Anita is the star. Her welcome is warm and sincere. She wants you to enjoy your stay in Camden and eagerly shares her suggestions for what you might like to do. Breakfasts are filling and delicious, cooked from scratch by Anita. She gets an idea what you like and will make restaurant recommendations and even make reservations for you. She has never steered us wrong. We have stayed in 3 different rooms and all are comfortable and beautifully decorated with lots of windows to open to let in the wonderful Maine breezes. So quiet even though the center of Camden is just steps away. Tip from this visit: do visit the lovely, small Camden Library and enjoy the view of the harbor from the large windows in the reading room.

Beautiful and Relaxing

5 on June 11, 2017

From the moment we arrived we felt so relaxed and happy to be in Camden by the sea. The Belmont Inn is beautiful! Big front porch, elegant rooms, lovely colors and incredibly comfortable. It's very quiet but only a couple blocks from great restaurants, shops and the harbor. Anita is one of the most caring innkeepers we've ever met. Her breakfasts were so delicious and healthy. She helped us find the best restaurants and places to go during our stay. We had a great time and didn't want to leave. We think this is the best place to stay in Camden and hope to return soon!

Heaven in Maine

5 on June 04, 2017

My husband and I recently spent two wonderful nights at the Belmont Inn. The innkeeper Anita was most helpful and engaging. She was a wealth of information on the things to do in the area. She had great restaurant suggestions and even made a few reservations ahead of time for us. The rooms were spotless and breakfasts outstanding. Anita was a most enjoyable person to talk to. We would definitely go back and stay again.

Hospitality wrapped up in a beautiful Inn!

5 on March 11, 2017

My husband and I headed north to Camden to enjoy the serenity of the Maine coast against the beauty of snow covered Mount Batten in winter. We stayed at the Belmont Inn which is centrally located with its own off street parking within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in the center of Camden. The Inn is beautifully appointed and the rooms are light filled and comfortable. Our host, Anita, was extremely attentive and welcoming. When I asked her about restaurants for dinner she made sure she understood what kind of food we liked and what kind of atmosphere we wanted before making a recommendation. Then,She, called and made the reservation. We asked her where the best cross country skiing was in the area and she canvassed her friends to give us several options. Breakfast was delicious and her biscuits are superb. Overall this is a great Inn with a level of hospitality that really distinguishes it from the others.

Relaxing get away

5 on August 28, 2016

The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of the downtown and harbour on a quiet residential street. Our room was beautifully maintained and very comfortable. Anita, the innkeeper was very knowledgeable about things to do and see in the area and the best places in the area to eat and breakfast each day was delicious. As if that wasn't enough, the inn has a beautiful wrap around porch where we enjoyed morning tea and a late afternoon glass of wine.

The Perfect Getway!

5 on August 07, 2016

We spent three nights at the Belmont Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning and headed out on a new adventure. The innkeeper guided us with suggestions for dinner, hikes, shopping - anything we needed - maps and directions. We were pleased that although the inn is located on a quiet street - we could walk to town. Each evening we spent time on the porch unwinding after a busy day. Anita is a gem and the inn is her jewel box.
