We had a great time on the Golden Slipper during the Clemson/Boston College weekend. We especially enjoyed having happy hour on the boat each evening in the perfect fall weather. Gretchen is an excellent communicator and Susan who cleaned the boat and gave us the tour was also terrific. We had one issue during our stay which Gretchen and her husband quickly addresses. . The location is also a plus because it's close to lots of great restaurants and other activities.

The Golden Slipper B&B was the highlight of our trip visiting the east coast. It was an adventure in itself. Five of us fit and slept comfortably in it. We loved spending the evenings on the deck talking over our day, or watching the sun come up. The location could not have been better, we never used the car once. We walked to the Aquarium, Boston Harbor cruise, Faneuil Hall, Science museum, restaurants, and Golden Goose grocery store. We could go back to the boat and take a break/rest between sightseeing stops, and it was always such a comforting feeling to go back to the boat instead of a hotel room. Gretchen was great, helping me with directions and answering questions. She instructed my husband on how to get from the airport to the boat via water taxi, he was dropped off right on the Golden Slipper's dock! There is no question on where I would stay if visiting Boston again, I just would stay longer...maybe until the ice starts forming. Pat P, Madison WI

My Father-in-Law has a very short "bucket list" - and one of the items on his list was to see a Red Sox game at Fenway Park. We decided to make it a full family trip to Boston to see the sights and enjoy the city. We discovered the Golden Slipper while searching for places to stay and, since my In-Laws have a boat and enjoy the water, we thought it would be a fun and unique way to stay in Boston. We could not have asked for a better location! The Golden Slipper is right in the heart of the North End and just a short walk away from the aquarium, restaurants, and stop one of the trolly tour we booked. We could hop on the tour and travel all around the city! Sitting out on the deck in the evening time, we enjoyed how peaceful it was. Although we were just steps away from the busy city, it felt like we were apart from the hustle and bustle. The rocking motion of the boat was an incredibly relaxing way to fall asleep at night. Gretchen was welcoming when we arrived and we appreciated her guidance and suggestions for places to go and stock up. The Golden Slipper is definitely a unique find. There are some quirks to staying on a boat - and so long as folks come in with eyes wide open, this is a great way to stay in Boston! The trip was a success, my Father-in-Law has fulfilled one of his lifelong wishes, and it was made even better because we all really enjoyed our time on The Golden Slipper!

On boat at Lewis Wharf, private and secure, convenient to aquarium, historic downtown and North End restaurants, the "T" and water taxi. Boat clean, stocked and very comfortable. Will return.

Having stayed on the Golden Slipper 4 times(it might even be 5)I felt it was time to write a review letting everyone know how much fun it is to stay right in the heart of Boston on a boat. The boat is spacious and so comfortable. The marina is totally safe .I have stayed with friends as well as family. It is perfect for a "girlfriends get away" My son who travels all the time in his job and gets so tired of staying at hotels loves staying on the boat. He has stayed on the boat twice. I will be there again in May and I can't wait..Diane R.

This was new for us, staying on the water, in a boat, no less. However, we were quickly won over, by the charm and care of this lovely yacht. The innkeepers, Gretchen and Jack, were warm and helpful, with tips for navigating Historical Boston. I will be a return customer for years to come. Thanks! Joan
