Perfect getaway for relaxation and rest

5 on April 13, 2017

Abair B and B is hands down one of the best experiences I've had traveling away from home I've had some health issue and took some advice from a doctor to 'treat myself' to something peaceful and relaxing and welcoming in a beautiful area This place was exactly what the doc ordered! Cindy the innkeeper was incredible and helpful with a tricky weather schedual preference I needed in order to motorcycle down from VT My bed was amazing and so comfy...I actually slept through the night for the first time in weeks The large tub with jets was a nice treat as well...I was amazed how incredibly clean and neat everything was Beautiful and tasteful ornate furnishings and circa 1920s ear themed things that stay true to the Inns roots from the day it was built...rich with an interesting history as well on how it was built Next time I go back I plan on utilizing the pool room and lounge area in the basement with fireplace and large flatscreen The weather was perfect and the breakfast with 3 corse meal was delicious! All staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcomed from the start to finish I will definitely return to this rare gem and I HIGHLY recommend this for a romantic getaway or solo trip for anyone It's also located within earshot of some great hiking and stellar motorcycle riding!! Thank you Adair !!!

A great quiet getaway with amenities galore

Next door to Littleton, NH, this secluded inn has it all...even a tennis court. If it's a place for peace and quiet you're looking for, you've found it at the Adair. No in-room phones or TVs, but gas fireplaces everywhere, and loads of comfortable places to read and relax. Afternoon snacks arewelcoming, and the dining room boasts fine foods and outstanding service. This place will not disappoint you.

Amazing stay!

Our stay at Adair was absolutely wonderful! The inn sits on a stunning property of 200 acres, with great trails. The house is really quaint, the inn keepers are the nicest and most accommodating people you'll ever meet, and the rooms are beautiful. The food is also amazing here! Who knew that a world class chef was hiding out in NH! The dinner was unbelievable and one of the best meals I've ever had, better than many great restaurants I've been to in NYC. The breakfasts here are also amazing! The breakfast was 3 courses consisting of the biggest and fluffy popover I've ever had, a tasty fruit platter, and then the main course which for the first morning was a baked apple pancake with pork sausage and the best scrambled eggs I've ever had, and the second morning an incredible eggs Benedict. My girlfriend and I were looking for an escape from the busy city life of NYC and Adair was the perfect place for this! We can't wait to come back!

Friendly, fun, and warm atmosphere

Kim and Barry were so attentive and helpful. The inn is stately and beautiful, as well as rich in history. The peace and quiet and the beauty of the grounds were so healing. It was a wonderful respite from our fast paced daily routines. The gourmet restaurant prepared the best dinner of our trip and Barry's breakfast was outstanding.

Next time will stay longer

What a beautiful, well kept Inn. The breakfast with popovers was fantastic! I hope to go in the summertime when all the gardens are in bloom. We had fun snowshoeing on the grounds.

Great time

We told one of the other guests that this was our first stay at a B&B. Their response was "you sure started at the top". They were right! It was just a fantastic stay. The entire staff was present and helpful but never intrusive. The house and grounds were awesome. I highly recommend that whenever you have the chance ask fellow guests if you can join them, whether you are sitting on the patio having a glass of wine, in the living room enjoying tea and scones, or at breakfast. The icing on the cake for us was to meet the other guests and enjoy their presence. There are so many interesting people who share their experiences and suggestions for things to do. Thank you again to Barry, Kim, and staff for a wonderful experience.

A perfect country house hotel

We simply adore this small country house hotel. With a total of only nine rooms, Adair has the most perfect and stunning grounds you're going to find in the entire northeast. If you're not at least thinking about this as a destination for a weekend out from Boston, you're really missing out--whether hiking or walking in summer, leaf peeping in fall, or snowshoeing in winter. Or simply relishing the quiet beauty of an irreplaceable estate. It's a kind of nirvana.

Signature Dish

Popovers
Laura Bly, travel writer for USA Today called our popovers "absurdly large and intoxicatingly good." Over-sized and served piping hot driectly from the oven, guests marvel at our popovers. Enjoy them with creamery butter and jam along with the first course of fresh fruit cup.
