The Applesauce Inn is a vintage 1900 American Foursquare farmhouse with all the original woodwork throughout. Luxury queen size pillow top mattresses, fluffy pillows, fireplaces and amazing scratch made breakfasts will start you off on a great day. Spring through Fall, savor your morning coffee and newspaper, afternoon cocktail or evening dessert and tea with the hummingbirds on our wrap around porch; In the Winter, you can choose a book from our library, play vintage board games or just sit and enjoy the warm fireplace in our comfortable Parlor. The Inn is an outdoor-enthusiast's dream. Just ten minutes from world-famous Torch Lake, close to all the hiking, fat tire bike, cross country ski and snowshoe trails of the Jordan River Valley, Glacial Hills and the Grass River Natural Area. We are just minutes from the award winning golf courses of Hawk's Eye, The Chief and The Legend. Our central location makes it ideal for amazing day trips to Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Sleeping Bear Dunes or Mackinac Island. Our location is central to the best of Northwest Michigan; the best restaurants, casinos and craft beer, spirits and wine trails in the region! We are a boutique Inn, which means we're big on hospitality and value and provide amenities that most Inns don't. We can and do pay attention to the small things. We offer On-Demand movies, full cable, Wi-Fi, bathrobes, blow dryers, a/c and fireplaces in each room. Consider us your home away from home.

Jamie was very welcoming and we enjoyed our time spent at her lovely home away from home. My husband and I spent an enjoyable weekend there exploring Traverse City and the area around Torch Lake and Jamie sent us off each morning filled with a restaurant quality breakfast that was so good we would go back just to enjoy breakfast again. The room was filled with personal touches geared toward comfort, such as bathrobes and an extra quilt, and it was quiet and peaceful. No children running in the halls or sounds of a busy highway (part of the appeal of a bed and breakfast in our opinion). Jamie also makes beautiful vintage-inspired jewelry and I bought a lovely piece for a friend that seemed to be made just for her. Her husband paints and his artwork adds to the appeal and character. We are excited to plan another trip to Applesauce Inn sometime in the future and look forward to discovering more of its appeal and sampling more of Jamie's excellent cooking.

Great location to explore Bellaire and Torch Lake! Stayed in Carmel Room, very reasonably priced. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Has room air conditioner and a small TV. Downside- shared bathroom, just down the hall-which was no problem at all for us, but may be for some. Jamie has a fridge stocked with cold water, delicious gluten free cookies, and dessert set out in the evening!

My husband and I spent our two year anniversary at Applesauce Inn. The location gives easy access to downtown Traverse City, Bellaire, Torch Lake and more! Jamie is a fantastic owner and hostess. Her breakfast menu was always delicious and she serves dessert each night. The room was very well kept and the bed super comfy. We will definitely be staying in more B&Bs after this experience!
