Great getaway

5 on August 20, 2017

What a beautiful place!! I took my 2 daughters to Lillian Farms for a little family getaway. Our cottage( the southern belle) was the perfect size and very beautiful. We enjoyed getting to know all of the animals on the property. The property it so beautiful and the staff was wonderful always there when we needed anything! Thank you Michelle and Barbara for a wonderful getaway with my girls!!

Repulsively smelly

1.4 on April 12, 2016

This place was so awful, we ended up leaving early in the morning after our first night. The musty urine smell in the cabin was atrocious and quite frankly unbearable and unacceptable. During our first stay with them, the cabin we stayed in had a mildew odor in the bathroom, but we decided to give them a second chance and this time, the smell was much, much worse and was permeating throughout the entire cabin and not confined to just one room. Then there were the bugs that were inside. I realize being out in the middle of nowhere entails the possibility of a few insects getting in, but this was just too much on top of the smell. I am appalled they think it is acceptable to have someone in that space, much less charge someone to stay there, especially at their rates. This was supposed to be a trip to celebrate our anniversary and it was ruined. We requested a refund of at least one night, but preferably our whole stay. The request was made via email 3 days ago. To date, we have not heard back from them, not even so much as an apology. Even if their policy is a firm no refunds, the fact that they haven't even apologized is appalling.

Anniversary and Getaway Rolled Up In One

We opted to do a romantic getaway with our stay to celebrate our anniversary. Barbara exceeded all expectations. We will go back. Farm is close enough to spend time in Brenham and Chapel Hill. Thank you Barbara!

Magical Aniversary Stay

5 on March 04, 2013

We decided to stay overnight while celebrating our anniversary. The ride to the victorian mansion was breathtaking. There were horses grazing and deer taking a drink from the pond. Barbara's work shows a great love for her property and she shares it with each guest. Thank you Barbara.

Wonderful Stay!

From the check it to check out, Tyler made us feel very welcome, as if we were at home. Had a Awesome getaway to Lillian Farms. We wanted to just relax and get away from the city, and thats what we did. Tyler is an awesome person to talk with, we got the whole story of how Lillian Farms came to be. I could just keep going on how great LF is, but I would be here all day. So we thank you for the much needed rest. Bless you Tyler, and all your future endeavors.

Lillian Farms is a refuge

For a true get-away, Lillian Farms provides solitude and space. In the beautiful Texas countryside, it is a welcoming site and a wonderful stay. We will be at Lillian Farms again.

Lillian Farms - The Perfect Getaway!

5 on June 08, 2009

We went with the intention of relaxing & couldn’t have picked a better location. Set on 230 acres in the TX Hill Country with a beautiful lake & breathtaking views everywhere you look-words can't express how truly blown away we were! The home & the grounds are very well maintained & no detail is overlooked. With a beautiful Victorian/country inspired look, it is furnished exquisitely, but comfortably. The porches filled with rockers were the perfect place to read or just relax in the breeze. We also took advantage of the hot tub, which was very nice. It is set far enough away from the road that you don't even hear traffic-you truly feel tucked away on a patch of Heaven on earth. We ordered a massage during our stay & the massage therapist was top-rate. The breakfasts were not only delicious, but the presentation was also a feast to the eyes served on beautiful silver & fine China with fresh flowers. The entire property was very clean-a very big deal to us! Barbara, the innkeeper, is very knowledgeable of the area & made great recommendations on everything we were looking for. She also made us feel right at home-one of the signs in her home reads, "Enter as strangers, leave as friends," & we can't give a better description than that. We stayed in the Angel's Nest-it was a nice size & the bed was very comfortable, which surprised us since it was an antique, but come to find out, she had the mattress custom made for comfort & comfortable it was! The bathroom & closet were very roomy as well & as with everywhere else in the home, it was beautifully furnished. This was our first time to LF, but it will not be our last! We visited in June’09, but hope to return in the spring when the bluebonnets are in season. There is also a carriage house suite that is perfect for a family & we hope to bring the kids next time & enjoy LF as a family. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed & renewed, which is exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend Lillian Farms!

King Kevin's Hideaway

Faux leather walls, pecan wood flooring and a coffered copper ceiling are some of the extraordinary touches throughout this two bedroom, one bath cottage. An eat-in kitchen with a country style dining set and a leather sofa and chaise in the living room provide plenty of space for relaxing, reading, or TV viewing. In the bathroom, a large stone shower with shower seat, red marble vanity, copper sink, and the display of brass Scottish hunting medallions make what might have been an ordinary bathroom extraordinary. French doors add an elegant touch in the large master bedroom. The fact that the doors lead to your private hot tub on the large rear deck at the edge of the woods is an added bonus.

Lady Kassie's Rose Cottage

As soon as you see the unique mahogany door, you will know you are someplace special. The glass inset, etched with "The Rose Cottage", will offer you a glimpse inside before you enter. The ironwood hardwood floors, fireplace surrounded by hand sculpted porcelain roses, hand finished kitchen cabinets, and stainless steel appliances are just a few of the details you will appreciate in this luxury accommodation. The master bedroom has a solid oak hand-carved king headboard. The bay window looks out onto the countryside, and the beadboard ceiling provides an open, airy feel to the room. There is a separate bath with marble tiled floor, large shower and hand-painted double sinks. Enjoy rocking on the back porch while watching deer come and graze. The backyard of the cottage is a favorite spot for whitetail does to bring their fawns to play and learn. The wooden footbridge, stone walkway, exterior chimney, rosemary hedge, and rose bushes complete the English cottage look.

The Country Penthouse

It's not overlooking Central Park and it doesn't have a doorman, but for privacy and space, you can't beat The Country Penthouse. This two bedroom/two bath accommodation has a king size bed, queen size bed, twin daybed and twin rollaway, which makes it perfect for families or girlfriend getaways. Quilting and sewing groups especially love it because of the huge farmhouse table that will hold sewing machines and all that comes with them. The leather couch and chair and a half in the living room offer lots of room to stretch out and watch TV. A personal hospitality bar has a toaster oven, microwave, bar sink and refrigerator. Across the hall (yes, there's more!), you'll find the second bedroom and bathroom along with a sitting area and full kitchen. The Country Penthouse is self-catering, so we'll stock your refrigerator with breakfast foods for you to prepare. The gas grill on the party deck is also available for your use.

Throw some steaks on the cottage's gas grill, and you've got the makings of a true weekend getaway. A living area with a couch and flat screen TV will beckon you to relax after a long day of day tripping in Washington County. A bistro-style table and chairs off the galley kitchen will make serving meals a breeze. The king size bed downstairs and twin beds in the sleeping loft upstairs (the kids will love it!) make The Southern Dream an ideal choice for a family. Sliding glass doors off of the master bedroom put you within a few feet of your expansive back deck and private hot tub on the edge of a grove of hardwood and pecan trees. The custom South American hardwood floor is inlaid with Texas Stars. The suite has a sitting room with a love seat and writing desk. This front-facing accommodation has windows on two sides that look out onto the beautiful country scenery. The 100 year old weathered barn wood on the ceiling came from a building on the property and was incorporated into the construction. Faux cowhide leather walls and touches of Texas ranch life in the furniture and decor complete the look. The large en suite bathroom features a unique slipper tub, glass door shower, and double sinks. If you're looking for Texas style, personal attention and a true Bed & Breakfast experience, you can't go wrong with The Longhorn Suite. Bed of Bluebonnets

Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas, and here in Bluebonnet Country, we certainly represent in the months of March and April. Of course, we'd love it if you'd visit when Bluebonnets (as well as the over two dozen other wildflowers you'll find on the farm) are in bloom, but if your plans bring you here during other times of the year, you'll get a sense of their beauty from this gorgeous guest room. Handcarved mahogany headboards with floral inserts adorn the twin beds. Tufted bedspreads and floral pillows complement the Queen Anne chair and writing desk. An antique armoire and unique lighting on the nightstand and desk complete the decor in this room that overlooks the gazebo and Victorian garden. The en suite bath is spacious, with enough room for two to get ready before coming downstairs to enjoy a country breakfast in the formal dining room.

Magnolia Charm

The magnolia, that magnificent flower that grows on a magnificent tree, is represented throughout this room's decor in the bedding, the artwork, even the decorative hatbox that hangs on the wall. The woven cane wrap-around king headboard is reminiscent of the days when hot Southern summer nights were spent on the sleeping porch. The unique writing desk (check out the chair!), rocking love seat, and gentlemen's armoire add to the Southern summer ambience of this room. Sit at the desk and enjoy the Estate House backyard view through the window. The en suite bathroom features a glass door shower and Italian tile. You could easily spend your entire stay in this spacious accommodation, but with all there is to see and do, we're sure you'll be out and about. At the end of your long day of activities, you will appreciate the relaxing atmosphere of Lillian Farms and the Magnolia Charm.

A corner chair and writing desk invite you to sit down and read a book or write a journal entry.
