This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a bed and breakfast and we weren't sure what to expect. This beautiful property is conveniently located, full of history, and has an amazing staff. The daily breakfast was delicious, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were treated as if we were family. The owners sat with us and talked every day. The rooms were cleaned and stocked daily. Very easy going place and people. We'll definitely return! Can't say enough good things!

We have stayed in numerous B&B's all over the south and this is my new most favorite place ever. The people are what made this one of the most relaxing and loving atmosphere to just get away from it all, that I have ever experienced in a B&B. This is a family friendly place where children can grab a cookie or raid a fridge with drinks including water and watch TV or play board games in a homelike setting. Our room was quiet and well appointed for every need including a little area where I could have fixed a snack or coffee without going downstairs, If you like to visit with others you may do so. If you needed to meet up with friends they would be welcome to come on in and you could serve them a drink or coffee and be in a lovely living area open for your convenience. Ms. Marge is a fab person. What is not to LOVE here.? Nothing. From arrival to departure we were treated with the utmost courtesy as well as given the history of the dwelling. Excellent food and I am a fussy person there. Great staff fixed authentic, and flavorful everything. Go here! You will never be sorry you did! .

We stayed here in March 2012 and loved it! The breakfast was amazing every morning, the location and people are great. The only complaint I had is that GPS really doesn't like to find the place so if you're coming in inclement weather (it was raining and dark by the time we got close), call for directions. The owners are lovely and super helpful!

Went on a girls trip to New Braunfels from 6/29-7/1 and had an amazing time! By chance we ended up at the Historic Kuebler Waldrip Haus and I am SO glad we did! There were 3 of us staying at the Haus and they put us up in the Gilbeau room. It was perfect for us with a queen sized bed and a twin. The room was so spaceous! The bathroom had two sinks and the toilet/shower/bath were in a separate room. Darrell was kind enough to wait up for our arrival at 10p on Friday night, and they did not charge us for coming in late (I was shocked and grateful!). He kindly helped us with our luggage and got us all settled in. We went down to the common room to make a few cocktails (we brought our own) and to our surprise there was a mini wine bar set up as well as all of the Blue Bell icecream anyone could want to eat. Even though the main house was full, we really felt like we were the only ones there (until breakfast, that is). I cannot say enough good things about our stay. The breakfast...don't even get me started! It was all homemade goodness. We didn't eat lunch because of how full we were. Table service, and all. I was also VERY impressed with the cleanliness of our room and the house itself. Spick and span! Mrs. Waldrip chatted us up and breakfast and was so warm and inviting. You can really tell that people are her passion and this little place is her slice of heaven. LOCATION: We wanted to go into Gruene and not have to drive far to get back to the Haus and it was just the best, you're right in the middle of everything, without being right SMACK dab in the middle of it. 7 minutes to Gruene, 15 minutes into downtown New Braunfels. It was perfect. Again, I cannot stress how much we enjoyed our stay! Can't wait to take my husband!!

This was only my second time staying at a B&B and I rate this one as excellent in most respects of the services provided. They could use updated TV's in their rooms and the snacks could have been a little better.

Wow what an awesome place!! My best friend and I stayed there last week and what a great stay it was! We stayed in the East Room because with two guys the pull out sofa would work good, which it did. The room was cozy and perfect for 2 college guys to hangout in town and party till late and then have a good place to sleep. Breakfast was amazing, we only wish we had more time to enjoy the food more and we will make more time next year! Margaret is a wonderfull Innkeeper and we both loved talking to her and the other guests at breakfast and making new friends! Darrell was great showing us around and he made these great little bite sized truffle things that were available in the common area. All in all a wonderful stay and we can't wait to come back!!

My husband, son and I stayed two nights at Kuebler Waldrip Haus in mid-September 2010. The service and friendliness was outstanding. Margie and her son Darrell provided a very welcoming, comfortable atmosphere. This B&B is in my top five favorites!

The Innkeeper(s) made this experience remember-able. We would most certainly consider returning when our travel plans dictate.

After the wonderful breakfast served, we had no need for lunch. We have stayed in a large number of B&Bs and the breakfast here far exceeded any other place we have ever visited. The staff was very pleasant and easy to deal with. We have already booked for next year, we are thrilled we have found this lovely spot.

Our room was large and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and the owners were very friendly and invited us to look around the house as well as the school house that was just as adorable and cozy as our room was...we loved it!

We've stayed at many B&Bs in our travels, and this one now is our favorite. From the Innkeepers' hospitality, to the wonderful breakfast and charming accommodations, we couldn't have asked for more.

For our 40th wedding annivarsary, we decided to get away for 3 days at a B&B. Luckily for us we found the Waldrip Kuebler Haus. We had an incredible & joyous time at the beautiful inn. We loved the atmosphere, serenity, wonderful food, and fabulous company. Simply can't wait to go back again in the fall! Sincerely, Yolanda & Jesse Fernandez

Darrell, Margie, Petra and Patricia all made our stay so very wonderful....all 19 of us. Our night time fun with light sticks was enhanced by the full moon and bright stars - out from 'city' lights. The school room was such a great place for indoor activities and gathering place. The four new kittens were enjoyed by all! ...and then there were 3...one guest took one home.

We had an extended family of 20 stay for 4 nights, without a hitch. We 'owned' the schoolhouse (with its own kitchen), which was ideal. Margie is a wonderful and charming hostess; she makes your visit feel like a trip to grandma's house. We now need to diet for a month after 5 days of her unique and abundant country breakfasts!

Our family stayed here in July 2007, and we had a wonderful experience. We rented the cottage, and they allowed us to take our pooch, Tuffie. Breakfast was ortstanding, and the family allows you to raid the frig after hours. Thanks for the great Blue Bell ice cream!

Loved the Hill Country views and the quiet getaway yet was close enough to town to enjoy both Greune and New Braunfels. Interesting history of the towns, the location, and the buildings. Thoroughly enjoyed the company and hospitality of Margi and Darrell. Have highly recommended this to family.

A family emergency actually kept us from completing our stay, but the time we spent at this bed and breakfast was worth it's weight in gold! We have 3 small children, and bed and breakfast lodging is not normally an option for us, but this setting was absolutely perfect. Close to town, but still secluded with plenty of play room for my kids (without bothering other guests). The innkeeper, Daryl, was very cordial and went out of his way to make us comfortable. This would also be ideal for a couple traveling alone. We would definitely book the school room and sweet retreat again. Try the jacuzzi- it's worth the trip!
