Located under a grove of Walnut trees overlooking 46 acres, Fair Breeze Bed and Breakfast is a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath private cottage that is completely furnished. A quiet and romantic retreat, the cottage can sleep up to 6 people, and offers an outdoor Jacuzzi on a screened in porch. We also provide trails through the acreage, a pond for fishing, a small boat and a pier in order to relax and enjoy the scenic views and wildlife. There are also lakes and Golf courses nearby. Many of our guests enjoy not only just sitting on the front porch taking in the sunrise, sunset, moon and star gazing, but also strolling the brick streets of historic Nacogdoches and shopping in the quaint downtown district.

My wife and I spent three days at Fair Breeze, and I can heartily recommend this cabin as a vacation destination. The décor is quaint and beautiful – I described it as “early antique store” – with a full kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, all utensils (including a very nice kitchen/steak knife wooden block set), refrigerator, coffeemaker, and plenty of plates, cups, and saucers. The “early antique store” theme does not rule the roost, however as there is a flat-screen TV tastefully hidden in a cabinet over the fireplace, with satellite TV and a DVD player, and plenty of family-friendly DVDs provided. The central heat/air is quiet, and easily adjustable. Another modern plus is a beautiful jetted tub – very quiet and powerful. Why this isn’t mentioned in the listing, I’m not sure, but it is VERY nice. The view from the potion of the deck that had the hot tub faced the forest (30 feet or so from the cottage) , and birds sang in the trees. The view from the other portion was beautiful – a rolling meadow with gorgeous oak trees, melting into the forest line. Morning mists made the meadow look dream-like. Now about the owners. Christie Cook and her husband Stan came up to the cabin exactly twice during our stay – Christie once to bring new batteries for the DVD remote, and once by Christie and Stan to service/clean the hot tub and ask if there was anything we needed. They are both wonderful hosts, and we really enjoyed chatting with them. Christie is also an accomplished musician – if you watch the video on the Fair Breeze website, that’s her playing guitar – and we had a talk on recording techniques and compression issues. In short – beautiful solitude (but with Nagodoches a 10-minute drive away), beautiful views, beautiful cabin, gracious and respectful hosts – what’s not to like??
Thank you so much for the kind review. I hope you both come back. When people leave happy, then I know we did our job. Fair Breeze is so much more than just a business to us; it is a ministry which enables us to share God's blessings with others hopefully giving people a place to pause and rest. Please come back. Christie :)

Absolutely amazing! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at this adorable cottage. Hosts Christie and Stan have thought of everything imaginable! The cottage, along with the entire property, is immaculately decorated and groomed. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch watching the birds and just soaking up the peacefulness of this place. We rowed in the paddle boat and took strolls around the property. Soaked in the bubbles of the hot tub located on the screened in porch. This truly is a peace of heaven for all to enjoy!

This is a great place. Stayed there in July and the weather was absolutely perfect. The cabin is very cozy. Loved it. The property is beautiful- green - green - green everywhere, just what we wanted. The owners were great.

If you want a quite, peaceful, serene place to go and get away from your busy life, this is the place. Cute cabin and the porch with rockers had a beautiful view. My best friend and I had a girl's weekend. A little R & R and a little shopping. And Christie the owner was so nice, we felt like we had known her for ever. We can't wait to go back!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the delightful setting here. "Fair Breeze" is an apt name, as the breeze gently flowed through the cabin throughout our stay. Thank you, Cooks, for sharing what God has graced your with - not just the peaceful, pastoral setting, but the kindess of heart and openess with which you relate. God will continue to bless your faithfulness to your calling.

This is a great place for a romantic getaway or a relaxing time away from day-to-day busy life. We had a great time and liked the fact that it was the only cottage. We hiked the nature trails and sat on the front porch and watched a lightning storm. We will definitely be back.

What a PHENOMENAL recharge weekend! Arrived Friday afternoon and enjoyed the rain falling softly on the tin roof accompanied by birds singing praise - a perfect way to usher in the weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the porch! The wooded trails are wide and well maintained - even after the rain the trails were easy to navigate - an adventure nature lovers and novices must experience. The cottage was very clean and definitely met all my needs. Stan and Christie (owners) were readily available, but provide complete privacy for their guests. The property is close to town, so you're only minutes away if you're in the mood to eat out, shop, or enjoy the sites. Bountiful blessings - I will definitely return for another visit!!!!!
