Cool covered wagon!

The covered wagon bed was just too cool! Great accommodation!

Left early, will not return

Almost no natural light in the room, the covered wagon bed is clever, but difficult to get in and out of. Roach in the bathroom. No cokes and Dr. Pepper in the fridge as promised. The breakfast was six stale pastries still in cellophane, some individual boxes of cereal and one tiny container of milk in the fridge. The bathtubs for stargazing were filthy. No way would we sit in them. When I asked the owner what was going on in town over the weekend, she said she didn't know because she doesn't keep track. The only bright spot of the weekend was Cooper's BBQ.

Innkeeper Response
Paula I’m sorry to hear that you and your husband didn’t like Mason or our accommodations. Mason is a small town. Some Saturdays there is live music, dances, concerts, festivals and other times it is a very quiet place. The day you selected to come to Mason it was a quiet, recharge weekend. Our website states that we offer a Continental breakfast to our guests. This is what you received. Nowhere on the website does it state they we supply a refrigerator of cokes and Dr Pepper’s for our guests. The pictures on the website display a low lit room with a queen size bed made from parts of an historical covered wagon. Yes, Covered Wagon’s sit higher off the ground than the normal bed….which is why this B&B is unique. I’m glad you liked the BBQ. (Note: the gift card you gave me had already been used at another location and no longer had funds on it.)

A fun place to stay!

4.2 on March 24, 2016

I booked the Covered Wagon for a spring break trip with my son, thinking of a reasonable deal for the night in something more interesting than a typical hotel room. It turned out to be much more fun than expected. Bridget met us upon our arrival with all kinds of interesting information about Mason. I never knew that there is so much to see and do in such a small town. We visited the fort and explored the town. Watching the Old Yeller DVD while sitting in a covered wagon inspired our imagination and brought the Old West to life for us. The room has a full kitchen so we didn't have to go out for breakfast; very convenient.
