I wanted my first B&B experience to be peaceful, romantic, out of the city and adventurous. The Bella Vista was charming and could easily be our home away from home.

Bella Vista has a great location and beautiful setting. The service and breakfast was excellent. We rarely go to B&Bs but we will certainly recommend Bella Vista to our family and friends.

This B&B is amazing. Set in the country on Lake Travis, it is modern, well kept, beautifully landscaped, great room and bed and jacuzzi and lovely patio for quiet relaxation. Hosts are friendly and very accomodating.

My wife and I made a decision at the last minute to get away for a few days in early August, It is very difficult to find a place within four hours of DFW that is peaceful and cool enough to not be stuck inside all day. We stayed in the Tejas room which is very spacious with a wonderful king size bed and a jet tub. Our room had direct access to the beautiful patio area which has plenty of seating and there is always some part of the patio that is either in the shade of some wonderful old trees or some other covering. In mornings, we sat out and watched all the birds, including hummingbirds, take advantage of the flowers right in front of us. In the evenings, we stargazed since the location is far enough away from most cities to keep the sky from being washed out. Mary provided two wonderful breakfasts that were tailored to our dietary needs, since we both are following the Weight Watchers plan to lower our weight a little more. Mary and Andy are very friendly and personable. Mary went out of her way and called us to let us know that there was a local venue with live music after we had asked if there was someplace we could go on a Tuesday evening to relax. The location is only two miles downstream from the Lake Marble Falls dam which meant that there was flowing water in the channel at all times and even a swifter, cooler flow when the dam was opened to generate electricity in the evenings. We took a cool afternoon dip and relaxed on the coarse sand beach for a couple of hours. The property is very large and we didn't take advantage of all the possiblities for hiking and wildlife observation. Since Bella Vista is a couple of miles outside of Marble Falls, we had the good fortune to see a variety of wildlife including wild deer. We loved our stay here and we plan on returning again in the Spring for the Hill Country wildflowers.
