The Sage Hill Inn & Spa, featured in Vogue magazine and Food & Wine magazine, is located on 88 acres of scenic Texas Hill Country, just 25 miles from Austin. The Inn has gone through a major remodel including a huge new pool deck, 14-person hot tub, and extensive upgrades in the rooms and over all of the grounds. The rooms are large, luxurious and comfortable, and the views are spectacular. Each room is stocked with luxurious Humming Bird Farms lavender bath products. You will be amazed that such peace, relaxation, and tranquility can be found so close to the metropolitan areas of Austin and San Antonio. This is the perfect getaway for both pleasure travelers and small corporate retreats.

If you are looking for a lovely getaway, this is the place to do it. Such a peaceful place - Hiked, swam In the cleanest pool ever, did a couples massage, and indulged is a spa bath in my room. Beautiful View of what looked like the entire hill country. The weather during my stay was hot so fire pit and room fire place were not utilized but what a lovely touch when the weather gets cooler. You are so close to Austin yet so far away. It was a lovely stay.

Phenomenal pool for a TX summer- areas to tan and areas that are shaded to escape the UV rays and heat. Best dinner in the hill country. Romantic rooms, comfy beds, BEST lotion ever.

We have been coming to the Inn for 21 years now. This is the first time I've felt it necessary to give a negative review. My first issue is the inability to control the temperature in my room. When I was told I could not have the control because it also controlled the room below us i found this to be an absurd situation when paying $475 for the room. Second issue is the water pouring out of the cooling/heating unit and running down the wall in our bathroom which was once again controlled by the staff. Third issue is the meal preparation. This has never been an issue, but this time the breakfasts should have been sent back. The first morning the bacon was fried so overdone that I chose to leave it rather than break a tooth. The next morning's breakfast was a deconstructed Benedict with an English muffin that was so dried out and Canadian bacon soo thin it too was way overcooked. Mind you, this was at 8:30 when breakfast service begins. The glass of orange juice was extremely small perhaps 1/4 of a cup. Fourth issue is with the pool floats. There were only 4 large floats and last year there were 6 plus several pool noodles. This year the missing floats and noodles had been replaced with some type of half float that would not allow a reclining position. It required an upright position at all times. Fifth issue is the quality of the paper products. For the price of the room I expect paper products to be soft and luxurious not seemingly from Dollar Tree. I was more than disappointed this year. I was heartbroken to feel that the Inn is now extremely overpriced for its value. I feel that the Inn is now focused on how much they can make without spending much to give the experience one would expect. Has we not been coming here for 21 years this might seem trivial to others, but this was not up to the standards and expectations I have for this Inn or any resort .

Wife and I needed a weekend away to enjoy a peaceful get away place to relax. We found that with the Sage Hill Inn. The staff was wonderful; very pleasant and made us feel at home. Dining was excellent; delicious and well prepared. The facilities gave us that rustic appeal and a romamtic setting all in one place. We drove three hours to get to the Sage Hill Inn; it was worth effort and time. If you are looking for nature trails ... The Sage Hill Inn and Spa has it too. The grounds in and around the Inn are beautiful. Recommend the Sage Hill Inn to anyone looking for a place to relax and get away from it all.

We stayed in Maurice’s cottage and loved having space private from the Inn. It was a short walk for meals or to the pool, we enjoyed using the hiking trail for longer morning walks. The meals and service were excellent! We enjoyed the pool and gorgeous sunset views the most. We will definitely be back.

This was an anniversary stay for us. I've stayed here on business 3 times previously, this was my first leisure stay. Facility was clean, quiet enough to take in the sounds of the surrounding nature with a staff that was working behind the scenes to make sure everything was taking care of for you. The food was as good as advertised and on a night we couldn't return in time for dinner, the staff prepared a meal and had it waiting for us in our room when we returned later that night. We will be making the Sage Hill Inn "our" anniversary getaway destination going forward.
