Great Time

3.8 on March 28, 2018

My Wife and I had a great time at your B&B. Donna was so very nice and put together several breakfasts that were just awesome. The house was in excellent condition and we really enjoyed our stay even though short(2 days). It's very quiet and with large beautiful grounds to walk around if you like getting out of the house. This was our second time there and will try to return again. Thanks for everything, Steve

You won't be dissapointed

Donna is a very friendly innkeeper and excellent breakfast cook. At the time of our stay, she was taking care of everything herself and did an excellent job of it, kudos to her for being able to handle all that she had to do, including setting up and having a wedding there on Saturday for a couple

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for staying at Prospect Hill, it's always a joy to have such wonderful guest and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and all that Mountain City has to offer. Cheers!

A Fall Evening on the Porch

5 on October 06, 2017

We were greeted by our very pleasant host and toured the 125+ yr old property. We used the Dumb Waiter to bring our belongings to our spacious second story room complete with fire place, balcony and claw foot tub. Before dinner we enjoyed wine and snacks on the quaint common second story porch. On this evening there was only one other guest, but we had the porch and the beautiful fall mountain views to ourselves. Dinner at the local golf club and then a peaceful night’s sleep at the inn. We awoke to fresh coffee, then took a walk in the park only a block away. Returned to the B&B for delicious fruit yogurt cup and Pancakes with homemade cinnamon syrup. Overall a wonderful stay with a pleasant host, clean and well kept historic property with charm and views that rival the best.

Excellent experience-great hostess

Week-end Getaway to Mountain City Prospect-Hill B&B Inn

5 on August 10, 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Prospect-Hill Inn Bed and Breakfast in Mountain City, Tn this past week-end. The inn was an 1889 historic mansion and was well preserved. Our scenic view room was breathtaking, with beautiful adorned furnishings. We stayed in the second floor room no. 2 with the spiral staircase winding to the third level where our Jacuzzi whirlpool tub, beautifully tiled shower, lavatory, and privy was located. The pine wood floors were beautiful. Our breakfast menus were well prepared and tasteful. Donna K. is a good chef and innkeeper. When we return to Mountain City for another get-a-way, we will definitely reserve our suite at Prospect-Hill Inn Bed and Breakfast. P.S. It is only a short drive to Boone, NC and Watauga Lake. There is a small Watauga Winery located nearby and also three excellent restaurants for lunch and dinner meals. We chose Subas for our dinner meals and it was excellent. Try one of Leanne's deserts. You get a preview when you first walk into the restaurant.

Great Setting to Chill

My wife and I recently stayed for a very special anniversary trip. It was a great place to just sit and relax. Nice little mountain town, but you don't go here to see or expect to do a lot in Mountain City. Donna, our host has a very nice B&B. We have stayed in several and this one was certainly one you could revisit. The room we were in, Sunrise, is aptly named as being on the east side the sun came through the half moon red windows on the side and shown on the wall in the mornings. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. Breakfast was very good, especially her farm to table sweet potato frittata. Relax on the front porch and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Lovely Historic B & B

We loved the downstairs room with private entrance off the porch.

A pleasant stay

Spent the weekend in Mountain City, TN (between Damascus, VA and Boone/Blowing Rock, NC) and were Donna's guests in here "Hideaway" room. Very spacious, lots of light, nicely appointed, gas fireplace and huge tub/shower. Public spaces are very nice and we spent some time in the evening on the upper front porch listening to the "peepers." Enjoyed a tasty breakfast one morning interesting conversations with the innkeeper on several occasions - enjoyable time.

Wonderful place to stay!

Donna was the perfect hostess and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place to stay. I would highly recommend the Prospect Hill B&B for anyone looking for a charming and unique place to stay.

We stayed her on our anniversary trip. Donna was very welcoming and we loved learning about the history of the house upon our arrival. Our anniversary goodies (wine, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit, cheese and crackers) were in our room waiting for us. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. I have a dietary restriction of no gluten and we let Donna know when we made reservations. The food was amazing!! This place is fabulous!!
