I stayed at Butterfly Meadows for a ladies retreat, and it was fabulous! First of all, the staff is incredible, and the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The Inn is beautifully furnished. The rooms have warm, beautiful quilts on the beds. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

I have stayed a single night on two different occasions at Butterfly Meadows, and both times were absolutely wonderful! My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was very spacious and clean as well. The hilltop setting is quiet, and the views from any direction are breathtaking! I especially loved the unique and locally made rocking chairs on the back porch. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the owners and staff welcomed everyone warmly. I think they truly enjoy meeting people and making them feel at home. I would definitely recommend this inn to anyone looking for peace, relaxation, and a little bit of pampering.

We stayed at Butterfly Inn for two nights while visiting Nashville and the surrounding area. The location is excellent as it is a true country setting yet close enought to the city to enjoy the urban attractions. We found the Inn very comfortable and the innkeeper was very accomodating to our schedule. The spacious room was well furnished and provided great views. The bathroom was very large and modern with plenty of space and easily accessible shower. Defintely a place we would recommend to others.

We spent two nights in the Butterfly Inn and it was wonderful. We felt like family when we left. The Innkeepers went out of their way to make us comfortable. All the staff are very welcoming and very personable. The breakfast was delicious, too!! The reason the room only got 3 stars is because we didn't have a double vanity bathroom and the bed linens are not "plush". Besides that...great place to stay!!
This room decorated in roses, New York’s state flower, is one of our largest and most popular rooms. The subtle Victorian farmhouse flavor of the room reflects the life of a woman who was an acquaintance of the Wright Brothers and Norman Rockwell. Born in upper state New York on the first day of spring in the late 1800’s, the little preemie was placed in a shoebox behind the wood burning stove. Thus began Virginia’s life of great adventure that lasted over ninety years. This special haven invites you to relax in its king size bed and cozy sitting area. The large private bath features double vanities and a large walk in shower. As with all rooms throughout the main Inn, Virginia’s room is accessible by stairs or our elevator.
It is only fitting that irises would decorate the grand suite honoring this Tennessee native. Anna made many moves following her preacher husband, but she made everywhere feel like home. You’ll feel that way too as you are embraced by this soothing space. Anna was born in the early 1900’s and was an avid gardener. Her summer vegetable garden fed her family, as well as friends and neighbors throughout the year. This room affords a spectacular view of the rolling Tennessee hill and the beautiful kitchen garden that changes seasonally and attracts many butterflies. Enjoy exceptional comfort in this suite with a king size bed and the peaceful wooded scenery. A comfortable sitting area provides the perfect spot to relax and read. The extra space in the bathroom and double vanities will make a stay easier for anyone wanting more accessibility.
The ever hardy Cherokee rose, state flower of Georgia, adorns the room of this strong woman who brought grace and charm to every facet of life. The décor here is reminiscent of a rural Georgia farmhouse and accented with cheery red furniture. Frances was born in the late 1800’s and she married the son of a Civil War soldier. She lived through the Great Depression, two World Wars and lived near the Little White House, close enough to personally witness President Roosevelt’s personal struggles. In a life filled with great personal struggles, Frances busied everyday assisting neighbors, her doctor brother, embroidering a counterpane for extra income or operating the country store. You will enjoy the rest of a day well spent by viewing a glorious sunset and relaxing in this spacious room. Slip into your king size bed covered with a patriotic red, white and blue quilt. A private bath features double vanities and a large walk in shower.
This room is a tribute to all the women who have graced our lives with their love and friendship. Delicate paintings of mixed floral bouquets and a lovely handmade quilt give this room a feeling of pure sunshine. Born in the mid-1900’s Beth traveled extensively worldwide and lived in many states around the country. Her love of languages and culture made her feel at home everywhere. But mostly, Beth’s infectious laughter and love of people made everyone feel welcome in her presence. The warm honey colored furniture, king size bed and inspiring views make this room a welcoming and relaxing stay. Read a book, awake to birdsong, or sleep in the light of a full moon. The spacious bath features a double vanity and a large walk in shower.
Leather accent furniture, a scrolled metal king bed, and paintings of bluebonnets, the Texas state flower, are highlighted in this room. It is a calm and peaceful retreat, reminding us of the stone house in the hill country that Evalina made home. Evalina was born in the early 1900’s. She was a devoted wife and mother, as well as her grandchildren’s favorite. Her strong sense of family and history made her home a welcome haven. Her sister Tessie was an ever present friend for all of her years. The adjoining room is aptly named for her. Enjoy the back lawn, a small terrace patio, and direct access to wooded trails by the use of your private patio door. An adjoining sitting room makes a lovely semi-private space to relax. Or, reserve this room with Tessie’s Room for a large private three room suite.
Pine and metal furniture, a reproduction campaign desk, and paintings of bluebonnets, the Texas state flower, make this room a relaxing haven. A beautiful handmade quilt adorns the bed, a reflection of the beautiful quilting and handwork that gentle Tessie made through the years. Tessie was born in the early 1900’s. Her sweet and patient nature brought a sense of calm in her presence. Her inclusion of family extended beyond the immediate family and making a large circle of friends and extended family feel welcome in her life. Her little sister Evalina was an ever present friend for all of her years and Tessie was always looking out for her. The adjoining room is aptly named for her. Enjoy the back lawn, a small terrace patio, and direct access to wooded trails by the use of your private patio door. An adjoining sitting room makes a lovely semi-private space to relax. Or, reserve this room with Evalina’s Room for a large private three room suite.
This suite is dedicated to a woman who has made making people comfortable and cared for an art form. Mimi was born in the 1930’s and grew up with family and friends around. She has extended this feeling of belonging and comfort wherever she has called home. Themed in the gentle art and colors of nature and offering peaceful views of a deep hardwood forest, this two room suite provides a spacious place to relax and unwind.
