Good times!

The Olde Mill was a greatly interesting place to stay. A combination of modern and rustic! The electric fireplace in our bedroom was a great touch! The room was small, but still needed a chair. The breakfasts were wonderful! Served individually with care taken for individual needs. Katrina and her staff were very friendly and helpful. There were driving and walking sights to explore. Several cafes were within easy walking distance.

Great place to visit. Very nice Inn keepers.

5 on December 17, 2016

We had a nice room and the hospitality exceptional. Lots of information was available so we could get the most out of our visit. Next visit to this area we will stay at the Olde Mill agsin.

Excellent Stay

It was a very nice stay and enjoyed meeting the other guests and the owners.

A gem hidden in the 'Gap'

5 on December 04, 2016

A unique place far from the fast pace of life. If you need a place to just breathe,to enjoy the beauty of the earth and to start the day with an awesome breakfast;this is the place! Your biggest regret will be not booking a longer stay!

Lovely experience!

5 on November 26, 2016

My husband and I had such a wonderful time. The owner was very pleasant and friendly. Our suite was beautiful. I loved the extras, such as the thick, warm robes that I found in the closet. The breakfasts were delicious. Definitely recommend!

Charming B&B

5 on November 23, 2016

This is a great place for a short break. We had a lovely room and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast each morning.

Perfect secluded spot to leave life's cares behind!

4.8 on November 22, 2016

Not sure how much praise I should list about this quaint secluded spot. A gem hidden in this awesome place Cumberland Gap. Food was well prepared and tasty. Our room had its own rustic charm with a view of Pinnacle Point. You walk out the door and just steps from Cumberland Gap National Park. We will return!

Second stay even more enjoyable than the first

5 on October 31, 2016

The Olde Mill Inn really appeals to the adventurous with senses of humor. The proprietess is a character -- quick, droll, laid-back, open, terrific cook. Some of the rooms are downright quirky -- we scooted back to the Daniel Boone Room because we are afraid they will remodel and take out our favorite bits. Everywhere you look, there's something appropriately funny. The Halloween full-size horse skeleton in the dining area, for instance. Both visits we met people we want to see again. Cumberland Gap is a special place where you can do a lot -- or nothing. History, geography (TN touches VA and KY in 2-block area), geology, botany, antiques, coffee, they have it all. We will be back, probably annually.

Nice getaway

It was a nice quite place. Nice people, good food.

October trip to Cumberland Gap

5 on October 29, 2016

This was our first trip to a B&B, and it was great. The mill is an actual, working mill (the water level was too low at the time we were there to actually see it working) and the proprietor as happy to explain how they had got it up and working. Someday we hope to come back- it was a wonderful time!

Fall Break

4.2 on October 29, 2016

We enjoyed our stay at the Olde Mill Inn. Our room (Front Parlor) was very comfortable, clean, and pretty. The bed is really tall, but there's a step to get you up into it! Our breakfasts were delicious and hearty enough so that we never ate lunch during our visit. Because it's an old building, sound travels easily, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to bring a small fan to run for white noise.

5 on October 28, 2016

My husband and I spent four very restful days at Old Mill B&B,we had a wonderful breakfast every morning, the bed was awesome,it was our best B&B experience.

Wonderful weekend getaway

My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cumberland Gap. The breakfast served at the Inn was fantastic, just the fuel we needed before a day of hiking. The room was comfortable and provided an amazing view of the mountain.

Olde Mill Inn Bed & Breakfast in Cumberland Gap, TN

3.2 on October 03, 2016

Cumberland Gap was a pleasant, quite little town and we enjoyed the weekend there. The Olde Mill Inn Bed & Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. We were disappointed that the mill wasn't running while we were there. That was the reason we had picked the room that we did because of the description of listening to the water at night. But, it may not have been running due to low water levels in the stream. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Thank you.

We wanted a quaint quiet place to stay while we visited the Cumberland Gap and surrounding area. Loved it. Our hosts were helpful on getting us to the places we wanted to see. Our room was cozy and quiet with a state of the television and very nice and comfortable bed.

A Charming Step Back in Time

5 on September 27, 2016

Quaint inn in a speck of a town. If authentic historical houses are your thing, this is a great option. A crazy quilt of stairs, up then down, led to my spacious Daniel Boone room. But quality linens, delicious-smelling organic toiletries, and Direct TV were decidedly modern. And the massive home cooked breakfast meant I didn't need to eat again until dinner. I loved my stay here.

I would stay here again!

4.2 on September 26, 2016

The Olde Mill Inn is a great place to stay while in Cumberland Gap. The rooms are clean and cozy. The breakfast is amazing. I also enjoyed being so close to the National Park. I can't wait to come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying two nights in the Pinnacle Room, where we had a wonderful view of the mountains! Interesting furnishings, eclectic but thoughtfully inclusive of all that made for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were ample and delicious, and we enjoyed talking with several of our fellow guests.

The Olde Mill Inn Bed and Breakfast - A great "Gap" Getaway!

3.4 on August 29, 2016

My wife and I saw The Olde Mill Inn on an episode of Tennessee Crossroads over a year ago, and had wanted to visit ever since. We had the opportunity to get away for the weekend, and chose to come to Cumberland Gap. We loved the setting of the Inn, the small town, the colorful and rustic look of the Inn's exterior and interior. The service was good, including the food. We stayed in The Cabin room, and loved the cozy, rustic charm...the huge logs, wide-planked floor, and barnwood walls framing the gorgeous and massive sleigh bed. Just outside our interior door was a coffee and tea bar, complete with Keurig machine, as well as a refrigerator and microwave. The owner and manager were friendly and accommodating to requests, making us feel at home. Although we didn't have a lot of time, the town has a couple of antique stores, restaurants, and local trails and historic sites. We also visited the town of Middlesboro, KY, which is a short drive, and had a great dinner at the Shades Cafe and Steakhouse. Would like to return in the future!

Great place. We stay at least once each summer.

By the Water Wheel

5 on July 11, 2016

We enjoyed our two-night stay. Each room is different with a perfect blend of historical character and modern amenities. Breakfast was fabulous. The nearby Iron Furnace was interesting and provided a starting point for a hike to the Tri-State Overlook. It takes awhile and the trail winds up and up, but the view is worth it.

Quick get-a-way

5 on July 02, 2016

We stayed at The Olde Mill Bed and Breakfast this past week and got a 'reset' on life. The town is super quiet and quaint. We enjoyed the AMAZING breakfasts that Katrina and her mother prepared and meeting the other guests and exchanging stories. We WILL be back, hopefully soon, for another 'reset'....a perfect place to slow down and enjoy.

Delightful Old B&B

5 on May 30, 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The proprietors were very friendly. Was neat to be in a room/hotel that was so old, yet had all modern conveniences. Would have been nice if the mill had been running, but the pump was on the fritz. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. The little town of Cumberland Gap is cute and a good restaurant and a delightful tea room. We will return someday.

Katrina the Innkeeper was amazing! I had a wonderful and relaxing getaway compared to nothing else! The sounds of nature I heard outside my window was the definition of peace and tranquility. Conversation was fabulous both around the breakfast table and with its owner. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Great little escape

5 on April 26, 2016

The perfect place to stay when you are in the area. Original buildings in a historic town, vintage decor with just enough modern conveniences to make you feel comfortable. A comfortable bed, homemade breakfast to keep you full through lunch, and a great family that enjoys hosting in their home. They are knowledgeable about the area, no hassle with coming and going as you please, and are easy to get a hold of. We highly recommend it!

Great chocolate waffles!

No surprises at this inn. Everything appeared clean and fresh in our room. Bathroom was super clean and the innkeeper that checked us in was very friendly and easy to speak with. She answered all our questions about the property and recommendations around the area. Breakfast was hot and tasty every morning. I would recommend this establishment to couples. If you have trouble with stairs be sure to book a downstairs room.

Cumberland Charm

5 on January 25, 2016

This place is a real treasure among B&B aficionados such as myself! This particular place may have the best natural scenery I have experienced yet amongst my journeys! The inn combines pioneer and colonial history & charm with a feeling of informal kinship and comfort...all seasoned with a rustic flair. The innkeepers are spectacular, friendly, and dare I now after my second visit. The breakfast is incredible, hearty, and yet reserving a quaint and elegant feeling. This hidden gem is definitely worth the visit of you want beautiful isolated scenery and can appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the Cumberlands!!

Cumberland Gap Jewel

5 on January 15, 2016

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Olde Mill Inn this past weekend. The cabin was a beautiful room and the small town of Cumberland Gap was very quiet, beautiful and enjoyable for us. We enjoyed hiking the in the mountains and viewing three states at once from the Pinnacle Outlook (about a 3 mile hike round trip). The food was good and the inn keeper was very enjoyable and easy to talk to. Held a good balance between just letting us alone and being present in the dining area if we desired to chat a bit. Had plenty of snacks, coffee, and tea all around the Inn so be careful if you are on a diet! A great place for those looking for quiet. Maybe not so great if you are looking for city life and activities. There are some restaurants and a movie theater in Middlesboro (about a 15 minute drive) but that's about it.

Beautiful town and friendly people

5 on December 09, 2015

Awesome place to relax and unwind, we enjoyed sitting around the breakfast table talking with Katrina and the other guests. Looking forward to going back another time.

One of a kind!!

5 on December 08, 2015

The charm and ambiance of this place are truly unique! The room was incredible and the wood features, bed, and detailed decor absolutely charmed us to no end! The scenery from our balcony was gorgeous, the place was quiet and relaxing, and the food was spectacular! My only suggestion would be to add a little more variety to the menu for multi-day stays. The owners are so friendly and helpful that they allow you to relax and feel like family! The location couldn't be more perfect! This was definitely a one-of-a-kind getaway to the Cumberlands!

Loved it, Great Getaway to a Peaceful Place

5 on November 24, 2015

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

5 on November 23, 2015

Cozy den, we sat downstairs and watched football and visited. Very nice, comfortable inn!

A truly beautiful bed and breakfast

5 on November 12, 2015

This was our second stay here, and as before, everything about the Olde Mill was wonderful. The town of Cumberland Gap is quaint and set at the base of a mountain, and the Inn features charmingly decorated rooms with all the little details that make a stay memorable. Breakfast was delightful and the owner, Hester, treated us like family. The dining room and common area downstairs were warm and inviting, and there were always hot beverages and fruit available, in addition to the use of a fridge, sink, and microwave, to guests. Each room has a journal in which guests can record thoughts about their stay. We went not just for the gorgeous mountain setting or the town's old-time appeal, but for the spirit of the inn itself, which is something to be treasured.

We sometimes just feel the need to unwind, relax and rejuvenate and this B&B did just that for us. The weekend was very restful plus we got to see some incredible sights and saw the leaves are their absolute beauty. So, we scored big this weekend. Special thanks to the owners as we also have a new travel agent.! Darlene & Bill Polander

Olde Mill Bed & Breakfast

5 on October 25, 2015

We arrived at the Olde Mill Bed & Breadkfast for a 2 night stay, and were greeted wamly by the owner. She checked us in and told us several good places to eat dinner. We went to our room, and found it is perfect condition. We stayed in the Danilel Boone room and it as charming. There's a statement on there brochures that says, "Our beds feel like clouds", and they were right. The be was soooo very comfortable. We were look forward to the breakfast and were not disappointed! The breakfasts were delicious with generos servings! They have a small sitting area tht reminds me of a small den. When we came in from dinner the first night othere guests were sitting and talking. We joined them and had a nice time. We would definitely go back!

Loved This Historical, Unique Home

5 on October 22, 2015

I loved, loved, loved this property!!! The Olde Mill Inn B&B is like a trip back in time. The owners are a perfect fit for this memorable house that stands near the gap in the mountains. I felt at home the moment I walked inside. We loved our stay in this old house that has been cleaned up, but not "moderned"-up. However, our bathroom in the front parlor (upstairs), was up-to-date and very nice! The king bed was a bit creaky, but very comfortable. A fireplace style space heater took the fall chill off the room. Breakfast at the 13 foot dining room table was a real treat. Delicious, basic food enjoyed by everyone - based on my clean-plate visual survey. We really enjoyed visiting with our temporary family and sharing all kinds of stories! I can't imagine having stayed at any other place in or near Cumberland Gap. I hope I can make it back one day so I can explore more of the charming nooks and crannies of this unique home.

A Hidden Gem

5 on October 20, 2015

I had never been to this sleepy town and was delighted by the welcoming owners and experience at The Olde Mill. It's a small town in the mountains but there was plenty to do if you like hiking or being outdoors. I would come back!

Two day visit including our cocker spaniel Peach

5 on August 27, 2015

Beautiful location in a quaint little town. Just what you would expect on a Gap trip. There was a dress rehearsal for a play going on in the park directly across the street which was very entertaining to watch. My husband and I were traveling home from a family reunion type trip in Ohio. The two day we spent there was a much needed down time! We travel with our 8 year old cocker spaniel who was made welcome as well. We stayed in the cabin, and while our friends made several comments on the picture I took of my husband and posted on Facebook (I am a five star hotel girl all the way!) the cabin was neat as a pin, the bathroom was be far cleaner than the bulk of the places we have stayed and the little touches in the room were just superb! We highly recommend this place!

We will be back!!

Nice and quaint

The first thing I saw of course was the entry door and step. It was not clean. Made a bad first impression. Other than that, lovely breakfast, comfortable beds, friendly hostesses.

Best getaway ever UN

5 on August 15, 2015

The entire experience was wonderful from beginning to end . The inn was very charming and the staff made us feel right at home. My husband and I went with another couple. We all enjoyed ourselves so much that three days after arriving home we booked our next stay for October. Cumberland Gap is very charming and everything is in walking distance including the restaurants and walking trails. itwas the first time that we stayed at a bed and breakfast but we all enjoyed All the little extras like having coffee and snacks available were great. The town of Cumberland Gap was so charming and it was great begin within walking distance of restaurants and walking trails.

A Breath of Fresh Air!

5 on August 04, 2015

What fun to walk out of the front door of this beautiful inn, walk across the parking lot, and climb a mountain! Or walk down the street to the local coffee shop and sit by a stream. If it had rained, the Inn would have been a lovely place to sit and read. The hospitality, friendliness and professionalism of the staff made us feel like we have found a second home! Having an awesome breakfast and coffee around a beautiful table with new friends was a treat in every way possible. We will be back!

Don't Judge By the Outside

4.8 on July 17, 2015

Our bed was delightfully comfortable, the breakfasts were so delicious and filling, and the hostess, Cathy, was warm, friendly, and helpful. What more could you ask? Do not judge the place by a glance at the outside. Go in. You'll be glad you did.

Wonderful Time!

5 on June 09, 2015

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary during the Memorial Day weekend stay at The Olde Mill Inn. The Daniel Boone room was charming and rustic, and the breakfasts were awesome, plus we enjoyed the relaxed, slower pace of this town and the people. The Olde Mill Inn was also very convenient to a lot of excellent hiking trails through the mountains, which we took advantage of. The staff were also very helpful as far as providing information about places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing weekend here.

Peaceful relaxing B&B In the Mountains

4.6 on June 02, 2015

This is a well kept B&B in a quaint little town with much history. The entire facility appears to be well kept and clean. The people are friendly and provide a great experience. If you like mountains, covered bridges, history, the small town feel and friendly people, give this one a try

Perfect pinnacle of a stay

5 on May 29, 2015

Spacious and comfy accommodations with mouth-watering breakfast. Lovely hosts. Trails just down the block including the historic Cumberland Gap itself. Marvelous visit.

5 on May 27, 2015

This was our first stay at The old mill inn bed and breakfast. The room was cozy. I would have loved to have had a bigger bathtub in our bathroom for soaking but everything else was great. The breakfast was superb each morning. I didn't really see the staff except for in the morning at breakfast time but that was fine too. My husband enjoyed the quaintness of the town and loved the nice walking trails. We would most certainly stay there again.

ideal getaway

5 on May 17, 2015

Our stay in the Pinnacle Room was comfy and spacious at the same time. Extremely attentive hosts and the breakfast truly hit the spot - grits, and french toast, and eggs, and!! Hiked up to Tri-State Peak from the trailhead a block away.

Rustic stay in Cumberland Falls, Tn

5 on October 25, 2014

We stayed in the Cabin Room, it was rustic, yet cozy and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was an assortment of fruits, fantastic, oatmeal, pancakes and grits ground at the mill. There was an assortment of snacks right outside our room. Quiet and peaceful stay.

Once again they surpassed our Expectations!

5 on October 10, 2014

We have been coming to The Olde Mill Inn now for 4 years for our Anniversary. We have stayed in all of the King Rooms, to see which one we liked the best. This year we stayed in the Suite again. We just LOVE Love the new décor! As always the huge king bed was just wonderful to curl up and watch Tv in. I love the new colors. The new love seat was a great choice. We love the new breakfast menu. We get up early and it sure is nice to be able to grab and go. OR if we want, sit with the other guest. As always there is a LOT of great food. The grits are my favorite! The town is looking great. A lot of new shops and the old favorites too.

Great area, not so great B and B

2.6 on October 09, 2014

It is in the center of a beautiful area for hiking and recreation. The room was adequate, but not worth the price as the deluxe room. The breakfasts were disappointing for a bed and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Katrina.

Great Winter Trip to Cumberland Gap, TN

5 on March 06, 2012

We used a Living Social Certificate to visit this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. I've never stayed in B&Bs very much, but this was a great experience. Hester was so helpful and friendly and provided a spectacular breakfast for us. The location is in very quaint Cumberland Gap directly across from an entrance to the Gap. It was a little cool while we were there, but we plan to return when the weather would allow shops and all the parks to be open to their fullest potential. This area is great with nature all around -- I couldn't believe how many State Parks were in this area. This Inn is very old and you can experience a bit of history by staying there. The rooms are themed and were immaculate! We had a great night's sleep too! Stay here -- you'll love it!

Beautiful Inn, Amazing Service

5 on May 29, 2011

We stayed at The Olde Mill Inn B&B to celebrate my 30th birthday, and all of my expectations for the stay were exceeded. We were so happy with our beautiful room, the King Suite, as well as with the hospitality of the family running the B&B. Further, we were so pleased that they were happy to meet our special dietary needs; and that the food we were served was simply amazing. Not only were we impressed by The Olde Mill itself, but also with the town of Cumberland Gap. Everyone we met was friendly and hospitable, and the town offered so much to do (we shopped, hiked, and rode bikes, and enjoyed the magnificent scenery surrounding us). We cannot wait to visit the Inn again the next time we need a relaxing weekend away.

Fantastic, friendly, absolutely wonderful

We just came back from a weekend getaway and absolutely loved our stay. Plush, clean linens and towels... Delicious breakfast... Snack bar was great, we enjoyed having the midnight snack of sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies... Friendly, down to earth hostesses... The suite was breathtaking. Peeked into a couple of the other rooms and they looked just as wonderful. Worth every penny. Hope we come back year after year!

Olde Mill Sound Machine.

From our nicely appointed Front Parlor Room, we were lulled to sleep in our king bed by the sound of the slow revolving mill wheel and the cascading burble of the waters of the mill race. After a peaceful night of sleep, we thoroughly enjoyed a most delicious breakfast. For anyone visiting the Cumberland Gap area, we highly recommend the Olde Mill Inn! LHCKBC --- April 25 - 26, 2011

My son and I stayed at the Olde Mill Inn Bed and Breakfast while we visited the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Katrina and Hester were wonderful hosts ~ breakfast was yummy and the place was a delight! We will be staying at the bed and breakfast each time we visit that area! Thank you for your hospitality!

The Olde Mill Inn Bed and Breakfast is by far the best place we have ever stayed. The family that greets you when you arrive is welcoming and you instantly feel like you have come to a very special place. Our room was outstanding, the food is wonderful and the friendly service is beyond what you expect. We had a wonderful time and plan to will be like going to see family again. S. A Dream Get-Away

This place is like stepping back in time but with all the amenities of present day. The rooms are clean, the breakfasts were out outstanding Katrina and family were so gracious. We were there for Mother's Day 2010. We returned to out room to find a Mother's Day Card and a cupcake for me. That was so special. You would not get such thoughtfullness anywhere else. If you are ever in the Gap----stay at the Inn. Gail

wonderful retreat

This is my 2nd time up since the new owners took over. what a wonderful retreat from worldly cares. The rooms are charming (& clean). The view from the pinicale room is incredible to wake up to. And the Daniel boone room was fun with it's tree house bunk beds. The food was delicious & plenty of it. I enjoyed hiking the National Park across the street including part of the historical "Warriors Path". The town is quaint with delightful shops. this is a great place to come & relax & slow down. I'm looking forward to another visit this summer.

What an amazing pair of innkeepers!

We just got back from a weekend away at the Olde Mill Inn and we had such an awesome time! Hester and Katrina are 2 very special innkeepers that go out of their way to make you comfortable! Make sure you sit with Hester at breakfast so she can regale you with stories about volunteering at the local medical school as a practice patient! We didn't catch any ghosts, but that was OK with us! Thank you so much for having us Hester & Katrina, we'll definitely be back for another visit!!! Love, Robyn & Matt (Roaring Gap, NC)

Great Place!

I truly enjoyed my stay at this bed & breakfast. Katrina and her family were very welcoming and helpful. My room was complete with all the basic toiletries plus some special extras. The small fire place in the corner of the room made it even more romantic. Breakfast was served bright and early and was absolutely delicious! I was only there one night so I did not have much time to explore the grounds, but I enjoyed what I did see. It was a great experience staying here. I would definitely return and recommend it to everyone!

Stayed in January 2010 and what a wonderful experience. The Innkeepers were gracious and so much laughter in the bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable, Daniel Boone and had so much character. What a great time I had and will be returning. Oh yes, the food is to die for!

My husband and I were fortunate to have stayed at The Olde Mill Inn this week in the Pinnacle Room (what a view!!!). It is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast! This was our fourth stay in a bed and breakfast, and is probably the most unique stay we have had. The breakfast was awesome!! Hester and the girls were great. We hope to visit again, soon!!

First Time

This was our first time ever to stay at a Bed and Breakfast. Not enough words to describe our stay. Food was awesome. The best part no loud noises and so much to do in the area.

Awesome in TN!

This is one of the coolest places we have ever been too. Comfortable, clean, calming. The food was fab. and the company the best. The National park was really right out the front door. Our every need was looked after. It may be a small town, but the service was the best you could find anywhere. Will be back again and again...

Great B&B, Great Staff, Great Service

Tucked away in the quiet little town of Cumberland Gap is the Olde Mill Bed and Breakfast -- recently re-opened under new owners: Katrina and Hester. For years, my wife and I thought about staying here, but never stopped in. I wish we would have. The place is a delight. This B&B is full of history and beautiful surroundings. Katrina and Hester have done a wonderful job with the place and their service is above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The lovely three nights that I had at the Olde Mill have convinced me to avoid hotels in the future.
