Cumberland Gap was a pleasant, quite little town and we enjoyed the weekend there. The Olde Mill Inn Bed & Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. We were disappointed that the mill wasn't running while we were there. That was the reason we had picked the room that we did because of the description of listening to the water at night. But, it may not have been running due to low water levels in the stream. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Thank you.

We wanted a quaint quiet place to stay while we visited the Cumberland Gap and surrounding area. Loved it. Our hosts were helpful on getting us to the places we wanted to see. Our room was cozy and quiet with a state of the television and very nice and comfortable bed.

this was our second time down here and plan on coming back next year it is a cool little town and a nice place to stay . side note they are looking to sale the place I hope they keep the place they do a great job.

Quaint inn in a speck of a town. If authentic historical houses are your thing, this is a great option. A crazy quilt of stairs, up then down, led to my spacious Daniel Boone room. But quality linens, delicious-smelling organic toiletries, and Direct TV were decidedly modern. And the massive home cooked breakfast meant I didn't need to eat again until dinner. I loved my stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying two nights in the Pinnacle Room, where we had a wonderful view of the mountains! Interesting furnishings, eclectic but thoughtfully inclusive of all that made for a comfortable stay. Breakfasts were ample and delicious, and we enjoyed talking with several of our fellow guests.

My wife and I saw The Olde Mill Inn on an episode of Tennessee Crossroads over a year ago, and had wanted to visit ever since. We had the opportunity to get away for the weekend, and chose to come to Cumberland Gap. We loved the setting of the Inn, the small town, the colorful and rustic look of the Inn's exterior and interior. The service was good, including the food. We stayed in The Cabin room, and loved the cozy, rustic charm...the huge logs, wide-planked floor, and barnwood walls framing the gorgeous and massive sleigh bed. Just outside our interior door was a coffee and tea bar, complete with Keurig machine, as well as a refrigerator and microwave. The owner and manager were friendly and accommodating to requests, making us feel at home. Although we didn't have a lot of time, the town has a couple of antique stores, restaurants, and local trails and historic sites. We also visited the town of Middlesboro, KY, which is a short drive, and had a great dinner at the Shades Cafe and Steakhouse. Would like to return in the future!

We enjoyed our two-night stay. Each room is different with a perfect blend of historical character and modern amenities. Breakfast was fabulous. The nearby Iron Furnace was interesting and provided a starting point for a hike to the Tri-State Overlook. It takes awhile and the trail winds up and up, but the view is worth it.

We stayed at The Olde Mill Bed and Breakfast this past week and got a 'reset' on life. The town is super quiet and quaint. We enjoyed the AMAZING breakfasts that Katrina and her mother prepared and meeting the other guests and exchanging stories. We WILL be back, hopefully soon, for another 'reset'....a perfect place to slow down and enjoy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The proprietors were very friendly. Was neat to be in a room/hotel that was so old, yet had all modern conveniences. Would have been nice if the mill had been running, but the pump was on the fritz. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. The little town of Cumberland Gap is cute and a good restaurant and a delightful tea room. We will return someday.

The perfect place to stay when you are in the area. Original buildings in a historic town, vintage decor with just enough modern conveniences to make you feel comfortable. A comfortable bed, homemade breakfast to keep you full through lunch, and a great family that enjoys hosting in their home. They are knowledgeable about the area, no hassle with coming and going as you please, and are easy to get a hold of. We highly recommend it!

No surprises at this inn. Everything appeared clean and fresh in our room. Bathroom was super clean and the innkeeper that checked us in was very friendly and easy to speak with. She answered all our questions about the property and recommendations around the area. Breakfast was hot and tasty every morning. I would recommend this establishment to couples. If you have trouble with stairs be sure to book a downstairs room.

This place is a real treasure among B&B aficionados such as myself! This particular place may have the best natural scenery I have experienced yet amongst my journeys! The inn combines pioneer and colonial history & charm with a feeling of informal kinship and comfort...all seasoned with a rustic flair. The innkeepers are spectacular, friendly, and dare I say...family now after my second visit. The breakfast is incredible, hearty, and yet reserving a quaint and elegant feeling. This hidden gem is definitely worth the visit of you want beautiful isolated scenery and can appreciate the aesthetic beauty of the Cumberlands!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Olde Mill Inn this past weekend. The cabin was a beautiful room and the small town of Cumberland Gap was very quiet, beautiful and enjoyable for us. We enjoyed hiking the in the mountains and viewing three states at once from the Pinnacle Outlook (about a 3 mile hike round trip). The food was good and the inn keeper was very enjoyable and easy to talk to. Held a good balance between just letting us alone and being present in the dining area if we desired to chat a bit. Had plenty of snacks, coffee, and tea all around the Inn so be careful if you are on a diet! A great place for those looking for quiet. Maybe not so great if you are looking for city life and activities. There are some restaurants and a movie theater in Middlesboro (about a 15 minute drive) but that's about it.
5 on December 09, 2015
Awesome place to relax and unwind, we enjoyed sitting around the breakfast table talking with Katrina and the other guests. Looking forward to going back another time.
5 on December 08, 2015
The charm and ambiance of this place are truly unique! The room was incredible and the wood features, bed, and detailed decor absolutely charmed us to no end! The scenery from our balcony was gorgeous, the place was quiet and relaxing, and the food was spectacular! My only suggestion would be to add a little more variety to the menu for multi-day stays. The owners are so friendly and helpful that they allow you to relax and feel like family! The location couldn't be more perfect! This was definitely a one-of-a-kind getaway to the Cumberlands!

This was our second stay here, and as before, everything about the Olde Mill was wonderful. The town of Cumberland Gap is quaint and set at the base of a mountain, and the Inn features charmingly decorated rooms with all the little details that make a stay memorable. Breakfast was delightful and the owner, Hester, treated us like family. The dining room and common area downstairs were warm and inviting, and there were always hot beverages and fruit available, in addition to the use of a fridge, sink, and microwave, to guests. Each room has a journal in which guests can record thoughts about their stay. We went not just for the gorgeous mountain setting or the town's old-time appeal, but for the spirit of the inn itself, which is something to be treasured.

We arrived at the Olde Mill Bed & Breadkfast for a 2 night stay, and were greeted wamly by the owner. She checked us in and told us several good places to eat dinner. We went to our room, and found it is perfect condition. We stayed in the Danilel Boone room and it as charming. There's a statement on there brochures that says, "Our beds feel like clouds", and they were right. The be was soooo very comfortable. We were look forward to the breakfast and were not disappointed! The breakfasts were delicious with generos servings! They have a small sitting area tht reminds me of a small den. When we came in from dinner the first night othere guests were sitting and talking. We joined them and had a nice time. We would definitely go back!

I loved, loved, loved this property!!! The Olde Mill Inn B&B is like a trip back in time. The owners are a perfect fit for this memorable house that stands near the gap in the mountains. I felt at home the moment I walked inside. We loved our stay in this old house that has been cleaned up, but not "moderned"-up. However, our bathroom in the front parlor (upstairs), was up-to-date and very nice! The king bed was a bit creaky, but very comfortable. A fireplace style space heater took the fall chill off the room. Breakfast at the 13 foot dining room table was a real treat. Delicious, basic food enjoyed by everyone - based on my clean-plate visual survey. We really enjoyed visiting with our temporary family and sharing all kinds of stories! I can't imagine having stayed at any other place in or near Cumberland Gap. I hope I can make it back one day so I can explore more of the charming nooks and crannies of this unique home.

I had never been to this sleepy town and was delighted by the welcoming owners and experience at The Olde Mill. It's a small town in the mountains but there was plenty to do if you like hiking or being outdoors. I would come back!

Beautiful location in a quaint little town. Just what you would expect on a Gap trip. There was a dress rehearsal for a play going on in the park directly across the street which was very entertaining to watch. My husband and I were traveling home from a family reunion type trip in Ohio. The two day we spent there was a much needed down time! We travel with our 8 year old cocker spaniel who was made welcome as well. We stayed in the cabin, and while our friends made several comments on the picture I took of my husband and posted on Facebook (I am a five star hotel girl all the way!) the cabin was neat as a pin, the bathroom was be far cleaner than the bulk of the places we have stayed and the little touches in the room were just superb! We highly recommend this place!

The entire experience was wonderful from beginning to end . The inn was very charming and the staff made us feel right at home. My husband and I went with another couple. We all enjoyed ourselves so much that three days after arriving home we booked our next stay for October. Cumberland Gap is very charming and everything is in walking distance including the restaurants and walking trails. itwas the first time that we stayed at a bed and breakfast but we all enjoyed All the little extras like having coffee and snacks available were great. The town of Cumberland Gap was so charming and it was great begin within walking distance of restaurants and walking trails.

What fun to walk out of the front door of this beautiful inn, walk across the parking lot, and climb a mountain! Or walk down the street to the local coffee shop and sit by a stream. If it had rained, the Inn would have been a lovely place to sit and read. The hospitality, friendliness and professionalism of the staff made us feel like we have found a second home! Having an awesome breakfast and coffee around a beautiful table with new friends was a treat in every way possible. We will be back!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary during the Memorial Day weekend stay at The Olde Mill Inn. The Daniel Boone room was charming and rustic, and the breakfasts were awesome, plus we enjoyed the relaxed, slower pace of this town and the people. The Olde Mill Inn was also very convenient to a lot of excellent hiking trails through the mountains, which we took advantage of. The staff were also very helpful as far as providing information about places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing weekend here.

This was our first stay at The old mill inn bed and breakfast. The room was cozy. I would have loved to have had a bigger bathtub in our bathroom for soaking but everything else was great. The breakfast was superb each morning. I didn't really see the staff except for in the morning at breakfast time but that was fine too. My husband enjoyed the quaintness of the town and loved the nice walking trails. We would most certainly stay there again.

We have been coming to The Olde Mill Inn now for 4 years for our Anniversary. We have stayed in all of the King Rooms, to see which one we liked the best. This year we stayed in the Suite again. We just LOVE Love the new décor! As always the huge king bed was just wonderful to curl up and watch Tv in. I love the new colors. The new love seat was a great choice. We love the new breakfast menu. We get up early and it sure is nice to be able to grab and go. OR if we want, sit with the other guest. As always there is a LOT of great food. The grits are my favorite! The town is looking great. A lot of new shops and the old favorites too.

We used a Living Social Certificate to visit this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. I've never stayed in B&Bs very much, but this was a great experience. Hester was so helpful and friendly and provided a spectacular breakfast for us. The location is in very quaint Cumberland Gap directly across from an entrance to the Gap. It was a little cool while we were there, but we plan to return when the weather would allow shops and all the parks to be open to their fullest potential. This area is great with nature all around -- I couldn't believe how many State Parks were in this area. This Inn is very old and you can experience a bit of history by staying there. The rooms are themed and were immaculate! We had a great night's sleep too! Stay here -- you'll love it!

We stayed at The Olde Mill Inn B&B to celebrate my 30th birthday, and all of my expectations for the stay were exceeded. We were so happy with our beautiful room, the King Suite, as well as with the hospitality of the family running the B&B. Further, we were so pleased that they were happy to meet our special dietary needs; and that the food we were served was simply amazing. Not only were we impressed by The Olde Mill itself, but also with the town of Cumberland Gap. Everyone we met was friendly and hospitable, and the town offered so much to do (we shopped, hiked, and rode bikes, and enjoyed the magnificent scenery surrounding us). We cannot wait to visit the Inn again the next time we need a relaxing weekend away.

Tucked away in the quiet little town of Cumberland Gap is the Olde Mill Bed and Breakfast -- recently re-opened under new owners: Katrina and Hester. For years, my wife and I thought about staying here, but never stopped in. I wish we would have. The place is a delight. This B&B is full of history and beautiful surroundings. Katrina and Hester have done a wonderful job with the place and their service is above and beyond the call of duty. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The lovely three nights that I had at the Olde Mill have convinced me to avoid hotels in the future.
