Our bed & breakfast rest in a peaceful country setting graced by pecan, oak, and other native trees along the banks of White Rock Creek. Nestled in this small hidden valley is an opportunity to retreat, rest, and relax. Walk the many trails that flow through the tranquil wooded landscape, stop at the balcony which overlooks the rain-filled swimming hole, hide on a bench in the shadows of a hundred-year-old pecan tree, or just sit beside the fireplace with a good book.

We stayed in the Shenandoah Suite. It was very spacious so there was plenty of room to put suitcases and other traveling bags. The bed is super soft because they put an eggshell foam topper on it. The room has a love seat in front of a gas fireplace. It also has a small table with 2 chairs. A potent air freshener was used in the room but after a few minutes we got used to it and it was fine. Breakfast was fresh fruit and yogurt + cinnamon bread stuffed French toast. It was very good. The driveway and entrance were a little tricky to find but there was visible signage so we found it ok. No traffic noise here.

Retha and Dana have created a home away from home 10 minutes from downtown Waco. The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean with close parking. Breakfast was wonderful. It was obvious that through the years Retha and Dana have developed an extended family of returning guests. White Rock Creek will be on our list to revisit when the opportunity arises.
