My husband and I celebrated our 28 year wedding anniversary in Granbury and stayed in We enjoyed visiting the shops in Granbury, ate at Pearl Street Station where you will find the best barbecue ever (meat falls of the bone), and walked along the beach. We stayed in the Royal cabin. It was clean and quiet. Sits right next to the Koi pond which is very relaxing to sit on the porch and hear the water running. Totally enjoyed our stay! Will return!!!

What a great gem! We wanted a quick little getaway and found Pomegranate House. It was important that our small dog would be allowed. Often times, places that allow dogs are not of the highest caliber. That was not true at Pomegranate House. Our cottage was great, comfy bed, beautifully decorated. And our host, Tom, was great!. We have stayed at B&Bs before where the owner barely makes an appearance. Tom was very gracious to us on our visit and provided wonderful breakfast and local color. We will be back!

Nice quite little cottages. We enjoyed our two day much needed get away. Tom 's breakfast was good and we enjoyed our visit with him and the other guests.

Chose the Pomegranate House for a girlfriends getaway. Two cottages were able to accommodate 5 women easily. Enjoyed the snacks and especially the desserts each evening. The game room was perfect for nightly card and domino games. The only down side was that the cottages are obviously intended for couples so the bathrooms in our cottages were not quite as private as I would have preferred, i.e. no doors.
5 on April 14, 2017
We had a wonderful stay at Pom House! I loved that these were separate cottages. Our cottage was clean and cozy and quiet, and our porch was overlooking the koi pond. Only blocks from the square, centrally located. The breakfast was delicious! Tom and Sara are super, very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay again.

I love staying here. It is a beautiful atmosphere and Tom and Sara are wonderful people. I love how classy the rooms are. A simple elegant beauty that makes me feel like I am in romantic film. The only downside was the dog hairs we found on the comforter. My husband is allergic, so it caused him some discomfort. I know the B&B is dog friendly, and we knew that we might run into this problem, but it will not keep us from visiting again!
I am so sorry you found dog hair on the comforter. Since we do accept pets - We do take extra care in making sure that we clean the linens and floors especially well after we've had a pet visit. All I can say is that we're human and we missed a few hairs - that comforter has now been dry cleaned and is in pristine condition! I am glad you enjoyed your stay - we'll try and do better next time!

Tom and Sara put on quite the hospitality! My wife and I care for my live-in elderly parents, so when we have the rare opportunity to get away for the weekend, we really want to take advantage of the situation. Pomegranate Cottages proved to be a great little get-away within an hour of home. We stayed for two nights. I was a little disappointed when I found out breakfast was served from 8:30-9:30, because we really like to sleep in when we can get away. Lo and behold... They deliver breakfast. Perfect! We got to witness General Granbury's birthday celebration and got to see a wonderful musical in the Granbury Opera House on the square. What a great weekend! Thanx, Tom and Sara...

The Cottage at Pomegranate House was very relaxing and it is protected from some of the noise by the pond. Tom and Sara are great hosts. Tom makes a chocolate pecan pie that is out of this world! And Sara serves joyfully. She even brought us plates one night when our take out meal didn't include plates. I would recommend it as a great couples weekend location! Also there is a great running trail that starts close by which is beautiful.

Every detail was taken care of; super organized, and we didn't encounter a single problem! We would HIGHLY recommend this quaint, peaceful place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a very reasonable price.

The owners are both very sweet and have plenty of stories to tell about their own travels. The food was delicious: from the cookies left to welcome you to the delicious breakfast. They are also dog friendly which allowed us to bring our rhodesian ridgeback and were very welcoming of the fact. I only wish I had stayed longer!

We went to The Pomagranite House for our honeymoon and again 5 years later for our anniversary and both time the facilities, food, and conversation were awesome! I recommend this place to everyone. If you are looking, go! The price is excellent and there are some neat things to do in Granbury. We go because it's a great break from the city. We have stayed in the Heron Cottage and in the Carriage Cottage. The carriage is exceptional and very big. The heron is nice and cozy. We will try another cottage when we go next time. We want to stay in all 4.

Everything was wonderful. Gorgeous accommodations, convenient location (off the beaten path but not far from anything), couldn't have been happier. Only suggestions: Bring a space heater if it is cold and something to combat mosquitoes if it isn't freezing.
Thank you so much for the great review! Glad you enjoyed your stay. All of our cottages and suites have electric fireplaces that put out heat. They all also have either central heat or a large in-wall heater - so my apologies if you were chilly. We also have some space heaters available - all you have to do is ask. Hope to see you again soon!

Great Place. Amazingly Secluded. If you are looking for a quiet getaway and old school hospitality this is it. Breakfast on the porch, large jacuzzi tub, the movie and book house(I like to call it.) Exactly what I was looking for. Time stood still for a couple of days. Owners are great. Very accommodating. Woke up to a storm to find a large umbrella on the porch so we would not get wet walking to the main house. Had a great time. If you are looking for mansion fancy style gourmet bed and breakfast this is not it. But if you are looking for some peace and quiet and to be served as if you are the only people there, I highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights in the Blue Heron Cottage to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have been more pleased. It was an incredibly relaxing and refreshing weekend in a beautiful setting of majestic trees and quaint cottages. It was like taking a step back in time to a period where life slows down and you can focus on rest and relaxation, and enjoy doing things on a slower pace. Tom is an amazing host who can cook up a mean breakfast to help you start your day the right way. He is so charming and hospitable, and can help you with the choices with how you plan on how and where you spend your time in Granbury. Things move slower in Granbury, so make an effort to slow your pace down so that you can enjoy your time there. We loved our cottage and we didn't mind at all that it rained most of the weekend. Relaxing in our cottage was a joy and when our stay was over, it was a nice change to leave refreshed rather than exhausted. Thank you Tom for an incredible anniversary weekend! We'll be back!

The room and the location off of the square made the stay amazing. We hardly had to drive around town since the best spots are just down the street. I wish the crackers on the cheese plays weren't stale, though.
Thank you for your kind review. I wish you had told us about the crackers when you were here - we would have been more than glad to replace them. Obviously we didn't taste them when we made the platter. So sorry!

For a busy mom who needed a weekend get away to rejuvenate, the Pomegranate House was the perfect place. I felt relaxed from the minute I got there. The Garden Cottage served as my oasis where I read, rested and renewed. It was great having the front porch seating where I could enjoy my coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Really enjoyed the setting with huge trees and quaint cottages. Hosts were very personable and welcoming. Can't wait to go there again!
3.4 on June 30, 2016
The location is aged, but not dirty. It will not be for those that want to be waited on, but rather those who are self sufficient and need a place to stay while they do their own thing. Since prior tenants are tasked with doing their own dishes, some may complain about water spots or soap stains. They provide dish soap so you can clean it again if you so desire. As I said, this is a place for folks to stay that don't want to interact with the people running the place so much as to enjoy the area around the place they are staying. I would definitely keep this place in mind for future stays.
Thank you for your kind review. I would like to point out that this only pertains to the Chardonnay Apartment and the Artefactz Loft which are in over 100 year old buildings on the downtown Historic Square. The Chardonnay is also furnished with alot of antiques. Since these two units have full kitchens, we do ask that guests clean the dishes before leaving. If they prefer not to, they can pay a nominal fee and we will clean them. These are indeed great choices for those seeking more privacy. We look forward to having you back!

We stayed on the square in the Chardonnay suite, talk about enjoyable. While I didn't pay attention to the fact that it was a flight of stairs until we got there, we couldn't have been more pleased. I do think they should consider putting muffins there since it's not the main location. Other than that, WE LOVED IT!

Stayed over night in the Garden cottage which had an additional sitting area with a fold out seat for a third person. Cute decor but of course the fold out bed was a little rough for my adult daughter...probably would be fine for a younger child. Gardens were beautiful and breakfast delicious, but the eating area is on a covered porch so not sure if it would be air conditioned in hotter weather. Our weather was perfect for it though. Nice couple with a beautiful home.

It was very clean and nicely decorated with antique furnishings. Very convenient due to it being right on the square Keith

This was our second stay int eh Chardonnay Suite. It is a lovely suite on the Granbury Square with a dining room, kitchen, sitting room, bedroom, bath with washer and dryer, and a private porch area. We loved the antique furnishings and the private nature of the room, along with the access to all the shops and restaurants in the square. We will stay there again!

The only down side was breakfast was served from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. A longer time frame would have been better especially on a weekend when we would have like to sleep in. Consequently we did not have breakfast.

My wife and I chose the Pomegranate House for our 11th Wedding Anniversary and our first stay in a Bed & Breakfast. We were very pleased with the room and the service, breakfast was and the Bakers accommodated my wife's food allergy issues, which was greatly appreciated. We felt very relaxed here and greatly enjoyed our experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a B&B in the Granbury area.
3.2 on March 22, 2016
The room was well done, quite and roomy for the two of us. The breakfast was filling and the treats in the evening were a nice addition to the experience. My only complaint comes from my own expectations, I was expecting an over-the-top extroverted host family like I've had at other B & B. I would have preferred if Tom and Sara personally greeted us upon arrival, gave us the 'insiders" information on the city, and made suggestions about what to see and do. That said... GREAT experience and we would recommend this place to anyone. .
We're glad you enjoyed your stay! Since none of our accommodations are actually in our home, we do occasionally leave a welcome note when we cannot be here as both of us are extremely active in many activities in town. We also try to maintain a very informal atmosphere. We have "polled" our guests and have found that about 95% prefer to be left alone when they first arrive to be able to freshen up, take a nap, etc. We have provided a large binder in every room about Granbury and things to do, where to eat, etc. And we are available at least by phone if they have any questions. Our breakfast time is when we enjoy chatting with our guests and telling them more about our great little town. And the best part of staying at a B&B - they're all different, just as all innkeepers are different!

Tom and Sara are amazing people and they make your stay very relaxing. Very comfortable, quiet place to stay. We had breakfast two of the three mornings. No menu to select from, but juice or coffee, fresh fruit, pancakes, french toast, sausage, and oven fries appeared. And it was good. We did not do the evening dessert, so I have no comment. The room was clean, warm enough or cool enough, the bed very comfortable, the decor quite pleasant, and plenty of hot water. The innkeepers do not intrude upon you, so you can be alone. The location is very convenient for taking in the attractions of the Granbury area.

Shortly after we met 7 years ago, my love and I stayed here as our very first trip together. We had a great time. So, I decided to give her another stay as a Christmas gift this year. It was just as great as I remembered from 7 years ago. The place is beautiful and the cottages are very private.

We were delighted with our experience at the Pomegranate House. Everything was as advertised. We enjoyed staying in a cottage separate from the house which was one of the reasons we chose this B&B. They have done an excellent job with the area by the cottages, especially the koi pond and mini waterfall. We enjoyed the furniture choices in the room, and as we were staying in January the additional electric heater/faux wood stove was an unexpected pleasure. The breakfast and evening refreshments were really very good; Tom is an excellent cook!

My husband and I booked the Carriage House for an anniversary getaway. What a sweet cozy cottage tucked away amid a peaceful garden yet it had all the modern comforts we could have wanted. Our family's stay in the Merlot and Chardonnay suites was nice. Wonderful location on the Square. Decor was beautiful, but the rooms did not look like they had been cleaned. Rugs were dirty and dust was everywhere. The sheets on both beds looked slept on. Luckily there was a washer and dryer so we had clean linens in both suites.
We're very glad you enjoyed the suites and sorry you felt they weren't clean enough. I assure you the linens were clean - we've been in this business over 20 years and Never have we left a bed unchanged between guests! Some of the linens down there are not as "wrinkle free" as I would like - but they are clean. Rugs are also vacuumed between all guests but most, especially the large ones are somewhat antique so they may appear more "used". We do apologize and wish you had told us of your problems when you were here so we could have corrected your issues then. We hope to see you back again!

Things we liked -- the hosts, the food: breakfasts, snacks, and desserts in the evening, the location, pet-friendly, jetted tub, refrigerator in room Things we didn't like -- difficulty walking on rocky path to cottage, could've been cleaner, no comfortable place in room except the bed but mattress sagged in middle. All in all, everything balanced out and we enjoyed our stay.
So glad you enjoyed our B&B. We do keep the courtyard in as natural, peaceful appearance as possible. Our smaller cottages both have two relaxing chairs in the cottage and two comfy wicker chairs on each porch. Our larger cottages have a chair and a sofa type love seat. We agree with the mattress problem - it has been replaced. Hope to see you back soon!

My honey and I stayed at your Blue Heron cabin on April 25th and 26th 2015. There are a lot of good with your inn, but the first thing that stayed with me is the huge trees covering the entire area and very cozy yard with the Koi fish pound. The breakfast was amazing and the story telling by the Tom at breakfast was very enjoyable. Sara had us checked in very quickly and gave us some tips about the show we were seeing that night as well. I highly recommend staying there and I will do again soon I hope. Amir and Melis

Staying at the Pomegranate House & Cottages B&B was a great decision for our birthday celebration. Every year my best friends and I pick a place to stay for a girls' weekend and this year we picked the Pomegranate House & Cottages B&B. The place and service were wonderful. I stayed 3 nights. I'm pretty sure they're going to have to MAKE me leave! Every little detail has been attended to. I stayed at the Royal Oak cottage. It is absolutely gorgeous, pristine, warm and inviting. The front porch begs for your presence and rewards you with the gentle sound of the waterfall flowing into the koi pond, the harmony of the orchestra of birds showing off their perfect pitch, and the cover of the most elegant trees draped over the most beautiful courtyard with abundant greenery and romantic lighting. I'm not recommending this place, I'm URGING you to experience this corner of heaven! Add to that how charming Tom and Sara are and you still won't get it because I haven't even mentioned that I indulged in the best breakfasts I've had. Ever. Not to mention the homemade desserts served in the evenings. Don't miss out on this! - Krista

Tom and Sara were very accomodating and very easy going. I have stayed here in the past in their biggest cottage and this last weekend I stayed in the Blue Heron. My girlfriend and I love to see the shows at the opera house and were thrilled to hear that Tom and Sara are a big part of the set and prop department there! It is nice to see the community so involved with the city and keeping it beautiful and well kept up. Spamalot was a blast! I will stay here again for sure. Go see a show in Granbury and be charmed by the city! I highly recommend 1890 for high class dining as well.

The owners are great and the property is beautiful! The bed was kind of uncomfortable to me, but that was my only negative in the room. The breakfast was amazing the first day! And the dessert that Tom makes for the evening time was very Delicious

We have really enjoyed our three days here. For starters, when we arrived, there were cookies and snacks on the porch. Any time cookies are involved, you know it's going to be good. We stayed in the Royal Oaks Cabin, which was beautifully decorated. It had a giant bathtub that could have easily fit two people, although it does NOT have a shower, but it does have a hand-held shower head. We felt very comfortable and the setting was great. We spent a few afternoon just reading on our little porch over-looking the koi-pond. The hosts made dessert every night (the blondie was our favorite) and the breakfasts were great! There is a separate cottage that has all kinds of DVDs and books for you to borrow while you're there. All in all we had a really great, relaxing time. We will definitely be back. The only negative I will say about our entire trip was that the bed in the room was a little hard. Aside from that it was fantastic.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was great and had an amazing bathtub. Liked how secluded our cottage felt. We will certainly stay here again in the future.

Fantastic cottages, a very neat idea from the traditional bed and breakfast. Food was delicious, and the owners were extremely nice and outgoing to make our stay amazing.

My best friend and I stayed in the Merlot Suite which was located above the square. It was very spacious and quaint. We had easy access to all the restaurants and shops. Staying above the square was quiet at night since all stores were closed at about 9pm. We did have to drive back to the cottages for dessert and breakfast but the drive is only 3-4 minutes. The breakfast was amazing!!!! The couple that runs the bed and breakfast are very sweet and helpful. The check in/out was so easy and fast. And since we stayed during the week the rate was cheap. I would definitely stay here again.

Great getaway place. Glad we could bring our dog. He loved it too.

My wife and I needed a place close to Dallas that we could get away from our kids and kick back and relax. We couldn't have found a better place. The Carriage house was a great place to kick our feet up and spend some quality time together. The room was spacious and we made use of the Jacuzzi tub. The location of the B&B is close to the town square and within walking distance. We didn't take advantage of the on site breakfast but you can tell from the available amenities, that they try to make sure you have everything you need. We are already thinking about our next chance to go back.
4.4 on March 09, 2015
The only negative was the toilet seat was soiled which grossed me out, but the place was so charming and the food delicious that I couldn't help finding a way to give them grace regarding the fact that they had snow and icy roads the night before which is not Texas typical (many shops in the square were completely closed due to weather). This may have affected cleaning time. I would definitely give them another chance.
We are so very sorry you had a cleanliness problem! That is not our normal standard as you can see from other reviews. Sara was out of town the first of March and a friend was helping to clean. We're very glad you are going to return and give us another chance - it won't happen again! We do encourage our guests to let us know immediately if something is wrong in their accommodation so that we can correct the problem then - we never want our guests to have anything less than a fabulous experience - unfortunately we don't know things aren't perfect unless they tell us. Again, our apologies!

My boyfriend and I went for a Valentine's Day getaway and we really enjoyed it. We stayed in the Carriage House which was nice because it is tucked away. Yes, the hosts do keep to themselves more than other places I have stayed, but when we did communicate, she was very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious as well as the dessert the night prior. We will definitely come back!

Lovely apartment loft over Historic Granbury Square is the perfect location. Nicely decorated and very comfortable in the middle of all the dining and shopping! Breakfast just a few blocks away was awesome as was the hospitality of the hosts! Great value and wonderful experience...highly recommend!

We stayed in the Carriage House room for our anniversary. We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy of that particular room. The room was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The bed was large and cozy. The bathroom was superb and we enjoyed our jetted baths. Just don't take a hot bath and then try to run the double shower heads right after because the hot water will run out! Wonderful place and beautiful garden. The breakfast was delicious! The nightly evening dessert and snacks left on the covered back porch/patio of the main house was a nice added touch.

The proprietors were kind, but somewhat aloof. They gave the guests a lot of flexibility and freedom, which was a huge plus. However, little of no opportunities to communicate with the owners created confusion about whether or not the guests had to give prior notice to receive breakfast. I requested a paid receipt to be e-mailed to me, and I did not receive it. Great experience. I would stay there again!
Our accommodations are all either individual cottages at the Pom House or suites nine blocks away on the Historic Square. Our contact information is in all accommodations and is posted at our check-in door. We are usually accused of talking too much at breakfast - but we do try to "read" our guests - some want to chat for an hour and some want to be left alone. We apologize if we didn't talk to you as much as you wanted us to. This was a very unusual situation – all of our guests during this time were attending a convention at the conference center which provided breakfast every morning. We had no idea if our guests were eating with us or eating at the conference center – only one out of nine guests let us know if they were having breakfast with us or not. Normally we provide breakfast for our guests every morning and anticipate that they will all eat with us – we even deliver to the cottages upon request. Everyone that week who requested a receipt has been provided with one. If the guest who wrote this review would please contact us – we will be glad to make sure they get one also.

We stayed at the pomegranate house for the second time and I have decided that this is going to be an annual tradition on our anniversary. The owners are very friendly and have keen insight on the happenings about town. gourmet food and quiet secluded property, only a short walking distance from the town square
4.2 on October 28, 2014
This was a wonderful location on the square and a great set up. The owners are not overly friendly but the location makes up for it.
We do try to be as friendly as possible to all our guests - we really do enjoy all of them! It is a little difficult to socialize as much as we would like sometimes - especially with the units located on the square - since we rarely even see those guests - they often times even elect not to come for breakfast. With having individual cottages and off-site accommodations it is more difficult to interact with guests than if their rooms were actually in our home - which is the more traditional style of B&B. We also feel that guests who choose us are generally looking for more privacy than they would find in the more traditional B&B. We do welcome the opportunities to visit with everyone as much as we can.

When you drive up to this property, the charm and warmth immediately take over all your senses. We arrived a bit early and thought we wouldn't be able to check in but they were ready for us. Our cottage was adorable; just the right size for a relaxing weekend. The breakfast they make is amazing as well as the desserts they provide in the evening. The one inconvenience was no real shower in the bathroom-just a handheld shower in the tub. Granbury was a great weekend getaway!

I wanted to go somewhere where I could get some much needed rest and connect with God. My room was great. My breakfast each morning was wonderful. I would recommend staying there to others. My only complaint, and it is not anyone's fault, is that I like to stay in more quiet surroundings. This was located near the square. But as far as a bed & breakfast go, Tom & Sara Baker have a wonderful retreat.

We stayed in the Carriage House cabin. Room for 3 with a fold-out twin loveseat. The bathroom was so nice! We did the "buy two, get 3rd night free" weekday special. Saw the Dollhouse Museum on day one (only open Sat and Sun), shopped the quaint downtown area and borrowed a movie from their DVD collection on day two (Steel Magnolias-perfect for girls day out), saw Fossil Rim wildlife center in Glen Rose and put together a jigsaw puzzle in the Cabana Room on day three. Take bug spray if you enjoy sitting out on the porch. The grounds were lovely, huge old trees, waterfall and koi pond, breakfast in screened room overlooking grounds, fresh fruit every morning with breakfast and snacks later. My mother is 81 and she loved it as did my sis and I. We will definitely go back!

The Pomegranate B&B looks just like the photos on the internet. The Blue Heron cottage was very quaint and comfortable. Although the hosts were not on the property when I arrived, they left a note that explained where everything was and hours for breakfast. An added bonus is that snacks and dessert are also provided in addition to a lovely gourmet breakfast. Closely located to the historic area, there seemed to be plenty to see and do.

I'm not a fan of B & B's.....mostly queen beds, small rooms & tiny bathrooms. I'm 6'4", 200+ lbs. But my wife loves em so I decided to try the Carriage House. Wow, was I surprised! Decent sized room, nice king bed and the largest B & B bathroom I've seen. Checked in with Tom and his first question was "Do you want pecan pie or blonde brownie delivered to your room after dinner?" (don't turn down the pie!) Breakfasts were splendid, even when Sarah wasn't there to help!! We're looking forward to another visit at Pomegranate House in the fall. Fred Martin, Boerne, TX

When calling at the last minute to find a place to stay over the 4th of July weekend, we were super lucky to find such a wonderful, relaxing place as the Pomegranate House & Cottage B&B! Our cottage was so perfect! Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful, served on the screened porch each morning which was fun! Spent evenings on the porch playing cards and enjoying our Kindles with the ceiling fans keeping things cool. The innkeepers were very helpful and when I called to make the reservation, asking about gluten free options for breakfast, they were more than happy to accommodate. Super serene, quiet and comfortable place to relax. Go!

We stayed in the Merlot suite on the square. Pros: Plenty of good sitting space. Comfortable bed. Nice old-time ambiance. Convenient access to square activities. Excellent breakfasts. Great eating places on the square. Cons: Square noise. Overall, room clean, but baseboards were dusty. Narrow stairway leading from street to rooms. Parking could be an issue on the square, though we were lucky to park next to the door each time we returned. Overall, I'd recommend it if none of the cons would bother you. By square noise, we experienced some noise from late night partiers Friday night, and some type of car alarms woke us up Saturday morning and went off and on for over an hour. We didn't notice much traffic noise unless a loud vehicle came through. We enjoyed our stay.
So sorry the noise bothered you - afraid that is the one problem in the Merlot Suite with actually staying on the square. However there are a lot of good things - you are just steps from all the restaurants, shops, theatres and Historic Square events. We hope you'll come back and try one of our private cottages at the Pomegranate House next time! Thanks for your comments!

I would rate everything very high, my one complaint, were the barking dogs left alone by some guests in the cottage located next door to the office. The barking went on for hours. This is not aimed at the owner's dogs playing in their yard.
We are very sorry to learn that other guest's dogs were disturbing you. We do try to listen for problems but we've never had it occur that a guest could hear other's pets when in their cottage. We do encourage all our guests to let us know if they have any problems at all - we can't fix things if we don't know about them. We hope you'll come back and visit us again - and we'll make sure you're not disturbed. Thanks!

This B&B is very nice. Great value. It did appear that it may have just opened for the season and needed some exterior cleaning/upkeep (leaves, dusty porch, chairs, shrubs pruned, etc.) Overall it was great.
Glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the leaves, etc. This time of the year it is an hourly - not even daily - task to keep up with the leaves - they are from the 300 year old live oak trees that cover the courtyard. We dust daily and keep the pathways clear - but we also enjoy the more "country" atmosphere the trees provide. And we love the fact that the trees keep the courtyard nice and cool in the summer! We look forward to having you back!

This is an idyllic little place, tucked away beneath several huge, sprawling live oak trees, just blocks from the historic town square in Granbury. I'd have missed it had not I been looking for it. The inn keepers are wonderful people who love to serve, and have provided a beautiful place for their guests to get away from the busyness of daily life! We stayed in the Garden Cottage, and especially enjoyed the front sitting room, complete with small fridge! The rooms are beautifully decorated, and have sweet little "extras" like plush, cozy spa robes, and snacks throughout the day & evening. The jacuzzi was wonderful, as was the HUGE walk-in shower! Breakfasts on the screened veranda were both beautifully served, and delicious as well. The koi pond & fountain surrounded by hundreds of twinkling lights just add to the overall charm of this place. All in all, a very relaxing, refreshing, peaceful weekend! We WILL be back!

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night last weekend and we absolutely loved it. We drove in from Houston, and it was well worth the four hour drive. We were actually disappointed that we didn't stay two nights. The town of Granbury is absolutely adorable and the restaurants and little coffe shops were perfect. We loved that the B&B is pet friendly and that we were able to bring our puppy. We have stayed at quite a few bed and breakfasts and we've never encountered one that we actually slept better in than at home. The king sized bed was so comfortable and the huge jacuzzi tub and two person shower was even better. We had a very relaxing weekend and could not have asked for more.

We stayed in the Magnolia Room. The room was very nice. The only issue is the street noise at night. Loved the room and breakfast was very good. The Baker's are very nice hosts.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. I believe you must have stayed in the Merlot Suite which is On The Square - not at the actual Pomegranate House. This suite is on one of the main streets of the Historic Square and is very convenient to shops, restaurants and the theatres - but it does get some street noise - depending on traffic. We don't have a Magnolia Room.

We are new to the b&b scene so we were skeptical...but the pomegranate house was amazing. We stayed in the royal oak cottage. It was very quaint. It had a large jetted tub which we enjoyed very much. We sat on the porch that evening and had coffee and later that night enjoyed talking out in the courtyard by the fire pit. The oak trees are gorgeous and made us feel secluded even though you are in the middle of town. The next morning we were served a homemade breakfast delivered right to our cottage!! We were so happy with our stay and highly recommend the pomegranate house and cottages.

My wife and I would much rather support a local business instead of a hotel chain and this wonderful B & B was recommended to us by a local merchant. (We actually went back to the store the next day to thank her because of the fantastic time we had at The Pomegranate House.) You can certainly discern from 350+ fantastic reviews below that you will not be disappointed with a stay here, so I will not rehash them. A cozy atmosphere, great food, superb accommodations, along with first-rate service provided by Tom and Sara will have us recommending the Pomegranate House to our friends and have us coming back for years.

We stayed in the Blue Heron cabin at Pomegranate House with our dog and it was wonderful. The grounds are very nice and having our own private cabin was a plus. The community cabana had popcorn and movies to select from which we enjoyed when we returned from our evening in downtown Granbury. If you bring a dog or just want to be outdoors, do not miss the large and well-maintained city park nearby (complete with dog park). The owner was away but there was an innkeeper who made a delicious breakfast, during which we enjoyed the company of the other guests. I would definitely return to Granbury to stay at the Pomegranate House and recommend it for a nice weekend getaway.

We traveled to Granbury to see family and stayed here the night of Thanksgiving. The courtyard was lovely, the room was very charming and decorated for the season. We will go back for sure. Very quiet with a secluded feel and close to the square and local festivals. Very nice owners. Breakfast was delicious but I've never been served a breakfast that didn't include eggs and the portion size was more like a kids meal.
Glad you enjoyed your stay - we are always happy to provide seconds or even thirds on anything we serve - most people seem to say there's too much. We don't serve eggs but about twice a week (you can get eggs at home) - we always have a meat, potatoes and usually something like apple fritter french toast, blueberry pancakes, stuffed french toast, something like that. And we always have fresh fruit and juices. Thanks for your comments - we hope to see you back!

They weren't right on the square (though they offer two apartments that are), or right on the lake, but also not totally secluded. However, it was very private, chill, serene, and very comfortable. The koi pond is beautiful and the innkeepers are friendly and attentive, but not overly so. We will certainly be staying there again, either back in the little cabin we were in this time, or one of their apartments right on the square. We were at a wedding and missed the late night snack, but the breakfast was delicious and the coffee was great. I highly recommend Pomegranate House, Tom and Sara Baker are lovely and their b&b made our little getaway perfect.

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast the next morning in our cottage. I would recommend a stay here to anyone. Sara was very helpful and accomodating.

My husband and I stayed in August for our anniversary/baby moon getaway. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed by Sara and a homemade dessert on the covered porch. Our cottage was so cute and comfy. Tom and Sara have thought of everything to make you feel at home. Homemade breakfast we had delivered each morning and ate on our front porch overlooking the coy pond and beautiful big trees while watching the birds and squirrels play. We will definitely be back!!

This was a birthday gift for my husband and we both enjoyed the serenity of our stay!

We stayed in the Blue Heron Cottage. It was nice, but it didn't blow me away. It is a very nice and quiet place to spend the weekend in Granbury. The woman who runs the place is very nice and will bring your breakfast to your cottage if you mention that that is what you want when you book your stay. The breakfasts are awesome and so are the free desserts she makes. The value is good, but not great. It basically evens out once you factor in what you would have spent on food. All in all, if you plan on staying in Granbury, the Pomegranate Cottages Bed & Breakfast is a good option.

This was a great weekend getaway...everything was so nice and comfortable. The breakfasts were so yummy and the desserts Sara set out were tasty as well. My husband and I enjoyed exploring the city of Granbury. We can't wait to go back!!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a close, fairly inexpensive getaway, and a friend recommended the Pomegranate House. I'm not surprised by how pleasant our trip was after reading the countless positive reviews, but I was certainly glad that everything I read was true. I won't repeat the same info that everyone else has said, but I do have to say: the website pictures don't do the room justice! We stayed at the Blue Heron, and it was SO much nicer looking in person! If you happen to be going to Granbury, you have to stay here!

We booked a last minute trip at The Pomegranate House bed and breakfast. The cottage was clean, comfy and cozy. We loved the privacy and peaceful setting. We stayed right on the square in Granbury, TX. It was great because there was a festival being held so we had to walk only a minute to set our purchases down or take a quick nap after the morning of shopping! Also breakfast over at the main house was easy to get to and they were happy to have us, not to mention the food was AMAZING!! Thank you Pomegranate House for a wonderful weekend

A very pleasant stay. Very quiet and had a nice sitting area by a koy pond. Cottage was small, but cozy and fine for us, the sitting room made it perfect for the three of us. Granbury is a fun little town, and we were right off the square.

Cannot say enough about Tom & Sara Bakers' place. Gracious hosts, superb food and wonderfully relaxing accommodations. Sue Gil

This was our second time staying here and it was just like we remembered it. The courtyard is just so peaceful. The sound of rushing water from the pond add to the calming atmosphere of the place, but the true stars of the place are the hundred plus year old trees that create a canopy over the entire property. To top it off you get homemade cookies all day and homemade dessert in the evenings too. Both times we have thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and lively conversations with other guest every morning. We plan to continue to stay at this B&B every time we stay overnight in Granbury, Texas.

The best thing about this place is that it is dog friendly and they don't charge you a hefty fee if you do bring your pet. Rooms are small but nice, clean and well-equipped. This is the 3rd time we have stayed her and we will be back again. The female owner is very friendly and helpful, but can't say as much about the husband. If you need any assistance, go through her if possible.

Visited a friend of long-ago for lunch and shopped on the square. We had delightful weather and showed my friend the beautiful place where we were lodging. The scenery at the Bed & Breakfast was so pretty with a Kio fish pond and many beautiful plants. One building housed puzzles, games, movies and a popcorn machine for our use during our stay. My daughter and I enjoyed our weekend very much.

Everything about our stay at the Pomegranate Cottages was better than we expected. Our hosts were friendly, the cottages were beautiful, and the food was excellent. This being our first trip to Granbury, I really appreciated the information on things to do and trolley times. Althogh the trolley came right by, we decided to enjoy the day and take the short walk to downtown. When we returned at sunset, it was like walking into a fairy tale, the lights twinkling and shining off the pond made it feel magical.

Great cottages. We liked that they were separate from the main house for extreme privacy. Hosts Tom and Sara respect your privacy. They made the best chocolate cake for the evening dessert and that was a great treat after we came back from dinner. We loved the on site cabana too along with the fish pond. Overall, a great get away from home at a great price.

Our cottage (The Carriage House) was beautiful, comfortable and provided an excellent stay for us. We loved the large whirlpool tub and the kingsize bed was so very comfortable. When we arrived the homemade cookies on the back porch were a sweet and welcoming touch. It was such a cozy setting that we could of stayed much longer if our schedule allowed. We found our hosts to be very nice but not overly friendly (Texans might mistake their reserved nature as being unfriendly but they warmed up very nicely as we asked about the history of their B & B.) Breakfast was served in a charming dining room. Our first morning we had a fresh fruit cup, juice, coffee, delicious french toast and crispy bacon. Our next morning we hada fresh fruit cup, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs in a pastry cup, hash browns and a homemade muffin. We were kind of disappointed that Tom, who is a trained chef, did not prepare breakfast and though the food was good, it didn't "wow" us. We would return because of the overall experience and the quality of our cottage. (We would recommend that the owners remove the small Christmas tree lighting around the Coi pond because ,though it works at night, it looks tacky in the daylight.) Despite minor disappointments, this B & B is definately among the best of our experiences in decor, comfort, cleanliness and ambiance, a charming oasis.
So glad you enjoyed your stay! Most people love our breakfasts - they aren't real fancy - but most people really enjoy them and no one goes away hungry. The little trees will be down in a week or so. We left them up since most folks are around the B&B more at night than during the day. Alot of our greenery around the Koi pond dies off during the winter - so we thought we'd leave them up until the greenery blooms back out. We'll look forward to having you back!

This was a surprisingly nice little get away tucked away in Granbury, TX. We had the option to stay at the local large hotel and went for sweet and charming. We we pleasantly surprised and rewarded for our choice to not do big. The inn was cozy, quaint and comfortable. This was a great choice for us with the small living room / sitting areas inside and outside. Take a look.

We stayed at the Pomegranite House the weekend before Thanksgiving for our honeymoon. The property was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The music was delightful also! The grounds are well landscaped as well. Our room was even meticulously decorated for Christmas. Sara and Tom are wonderful innkeepers. They are very attentive to their guests' needs! Breakfast and dessert were consistently excellent. We also enjoyed the cookies and snacks! Granbury is a wonderful place to visit! We definitely plan to return to the Pomegranite house as soon as possible! Thank you Sara and Tom for exceeding our expectations!!!

We stayed during the week of Thanksgiving. It was more than we could've asked for in a B&B. Private cottages, the rooms are beautiful, the courtyard is so nice in the evenings and the owners are awesome. The breakfast was amazing, cooked to order! Innkeepers had an unanounced catered lunch the second day of our stay and told us at breakfast that we would have to appear by 8 pm instead of 8:30 to get breakfast that day. We were staying offsite but managed to make it. I did not appreciate the pressure - I could have had that at home. Good stay otherwise.
We're sorry you were upset - we wish you had told us it was a problem. We normally do breakfast from 8:30 until 9:30 - giving folks a range of time instead of exactly at 9am which most B&B's do. We announced to everyone the day before that breakfast would be from 8am until 9am the next morning as we needed to get ready for a luncheon that day. You did not have to be in for breakfast until 9am - here again, we offer an hour spread of time - not a specific time. If you had let us know this was a problem we would have been glad to deliver to you that morning - we don't know there's a problem if you don't tell us and we can't fix it if you don't tell us. The luncheon (which we only do once a year) was a charity fund raiser - the ladies who won it had paid over $800 at the benefit dinner. Again, we do apologize.

Outdoor area is so pretty with a koi pond and canopy of large old trees. Hosts were great and breakfast was really delicious. Snacks, too. Granbury square is great fun and the whole weekend was so relaxing. Highly recommend!

We traveled about an hour to spend a night away from the children. Pomegranate Cottages were quaint and quiet. Sara and Tom were pleasant inn keepers and served a delicious breakfast. The garden was decorated for christmas, and they have a gas "firepit" for the chilly evening. It is too far to walk to the square, but we found ample parking.
5 on November 12, 2012
For my husbands birthday, I wisked him away from the stress of work and home to spend the night in this lovely B&B. The innkeepers were so nice and left us to have our privicy in our sweet cabin with large tub. There was also a refrigerator for drinks and snacks in case you want to bring. We took a long walk in a park that is a 5 minute walk from the B&B. Lovely garden and lovely porch. Great breakfast. We will definitely be back. Downtown is very pretty and Lake Granbury is as well. All like 5 mins. away.

We had a beautiful evening at the Pomegranate Cottages Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the romantic cozy Carriage house cottage. The bathroom is perfect with a whirlpool tub and a shower with three shower heads one in reach to accommodate a small child. Luxurious towels and bathrobes to lounge in while flipping through all the available cable channels on the large flat screen t.v. Sara delivered our breakfast to our cottage at 9:30 am. A beautiful tray with eggs, ham, fruit bowl and coffee & juice. This was our best experience at a Bed & Breakfast. Highly recommend ! Thank you, Tom & Sara Baker. Sincerely, Chris & Sharon Spires

My wife and I spent three days at the Pomegranate House last week. We elected to stay in the Carriage House cottage, which is detached from the other units. The exterior looks just like a carriage house, but the inside is fully updated with a king sized four poster bed, small fridge, generous bathroom and shower. Attention to design detail was exceptional. We even had our own little porch to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee. The room was directly on the busy road into town, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise during the day. But traffic almost disappeared completely after sunset; we slept great and weren’t bothered by it at all. Because the cottage faced into the courtyard, we enjoyed excellent privacy and would never have known that cars were driving by if we didn’t hear them. It is also helpful that the Pomegranate is situated about a half mile from the Granbury town square. So walking to dinner or to the store was easily doable (side note: many of the local restaurants are BYOB!). While the room and grounds are very pleasant, it is the food that really makes this inn a treasure. The breakfasts were robust and well balanced. Owners Tom and Sara each have culinary backgrounds and it shows. All three breakfasts were terrific. As an additional treat, desert is served each evening after dinner. While all three deserts were great, my absolute favorite was the chocolate pecan pie. Cookies are available 24x7, too! If we find ourselves in the Granbury, Texas vicinity again, I am pretty sure I know where we will be staying!

My husband and I live in the DFW area and decided to get away for just a night last minute. I came across this place on this website and after reading the reviews we booked the last room available. Absolutely LOVED it! It was so cozy, so peaceful. The KOI pond was beautiful. I loved the privacy we felt even if the cottages are close together. Loved the little porches. Room was lovely. Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was outstanding and they even deliver it to your door if you request it. We will absolutely be back and recommend it to our friend.! Thank you so much for a fabulous time.

My husband & I just needed to get away, even for just 1 night. I found Pomegranate House on line & thought it might work. It did! We got there & when my husband saw the courtyard with the Koi pond he said "This is great". Even though it was warm out (103, I think) we sat on the Blue Heron porch, drank wine, ate the cheese/fruit/crackers that Sara brought to us, talked & listened to the waterfall. So relaxing! Saturday morning we had our coffee on the porch & saw all different kinds of birds at the waterfall. Absolutely loved it! We will be back!

The Pomegranate House is a nice little b&b in Granbury. It's nice if you're looking for something off the beaten path, and many rooms are actually small cottages so you have a good bit of privacy. Not extremely fancy, but a nice place to stay.

We stayed at the Pomegranate Lake house over a weekend. It was absolute value for the money! The house was extremely clean, and had everything in it you that could possibly need or want! There were board games, movies, extra pillows, blankets, towels, dishes - all you need to bring are yourselves, your luggage, some food, and don't forget the fishing poles because the house really IS only feet away from the lake! The house was beautifully decorated and the view from the back porch of the lake was lovely. We will DEFINITELY be going back! :-)

My significant other and I recently stayed at the Pomegranate House & Cottages. Sara, the "hostess" was unfriendly and unhelpful. When asked for assistance her attitude was as if we were bothering her. We tried to watch a movie in our room. The DVD player installed in the TV was not working. We asked her for assistance. She did come to look at it. She said that the young lady who stayed in the room earlier that week stated that the remote was not working. Then said Oh well, you will just have to watch TV. Breakfast is claimed be gourmet. REALLY?? French toast, sausage and fried potato wedges. hmmmm.... Overall the stay/room was not worth the price. The room had cobwebs along the windows, baseboards and corners. The towels had mildewed at one point- and smelled. The jaquisse did not work properly-it kept leaking water and then the jets would be on top of the water and shoot the water all over the bathroom. Not a pleasant romantic experience.

We arrived mid-evening to check in, just as the evening desert was being placed out on the main patio. We didn't realize that not only would breakfast be included, but a homeade desert in the evening. The seperate cottages from the main home allowed the privacy we were looking for with the comfort of a B&B. We really enjoyed our stay and have already recommended this place to family members as well as plan to spend some future anniverseries here.

I had a wonderful stay at the Pomegranate House! The Blue Heron Cottage was peaceful, quaint and just all-around lovely - perfect for a relaxing solo retreat. The breakfasts were delicious (and plentiful! I'd describe them as "farmer's breakfasts!" I hope I didn't offend my hosts when I couldn't finish a single breakfast!" The place was smaller than I expected overall, although the pictures aren't deceiving or anything. But I was initially a little surprised to see that all of the cottages are very close together. And I was surprised to see the B&B in a densely-housed neighborhood. (The Pomegranate House's neighbors aren't NEARLY as concerned with aesthetics as the innkeepers are!) But my concerns about any noise stemming from the surroundings proved unfounded - my stay was very quiet. The location is nice, too - it was about a ten minute walk to the historic town sqaure, and a lovely city park situated even closer. The web site also mentioned a nightly dessert. The first two nights, I was underwhelmed by the chocolate chip cookies that were left out. But I later learned that Sarah, the innkeeper, was out of town for the first part of my stay. Once she returned there were amazing desserts left out for the guests! This was my first-ever stay at a B&B and it exceeded my expectations - I really liked having my own private cottage (I've always found the thought of traipsing through another person's home B&B a little unsettling), the serenity and quiet of the location and the attentive service. If I return to Granbury, I'll return to the Pomegranate House! (But I'll make sure Sarah's in town!)

We stayed at the Pomegranate Lake House, so dining service was not provided. Overall we had a great weekend and enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was the Lake House smelled like smokers had just been there and we thought it was smoke free.
So sorry - it is a smoke-free house. We provide ashtrays on the outside porches for our guests who smoke. Unfortunately not all guests are considerate enough to abide by our policies.

A great little getaway. Room was clean. The king bed was very comfortable and the decor was ever so inviting; not to feminine or masculine. Sara and Tom were like your best neighbor, friendly and there when you need them. Nothing compares to sitting on the screened porch, talking with friends while sampling the wonderful chocolate-pecan pie or havinghaving a fabulous home cooked breakfast surrounded by the sounds of birds singing and the fresh morning. The room, service and food were excellent.

Selecting a B&B off the internet may intimidate some, but we took a chance and we were not disappointed. A sweet note, cookies and ice water greeted us since the owner was on a short errand. Our room reminded me of the beach with the heron theme. We found fluffy robes in the closet as well as bottled waters in the frig. A notebook complete with events, sights to see and maps was a nice touch, not to mention the flashlight in the night table should we need one. To enhance the beach theme the owners provided beach towels for anyone wanting to take a swim in Lake Granbury. Breakfast was freshly prepared by the owner and served on the screen porch. An added touch was "DESSERT" available on the porch each night from 7:30 to 10:00. We would certainly recommend our friends and family to stay.

Our stay was wonderful! The Carriage House was great! The king-sized bed was very pretty and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the bathtub is definitely big enough for two! The grounds were very peaceful and inviting. Tom and Sara are great hosts!

We stayed in the Carriage House and really enjoyed our time! The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is amazing, and the whole cottage is decorated so well. Tom and Sara had yummy treats for us at night and an amazing breakfast the next morning (they even accommodated for food allergies). The location is walking distance to the town square, and if you're up for it, there are several miles of paved walking and biking trails behind the city hall/visitor's center. We'd definitely stay there again!

Very relaxing getaway. I would recomend this family owned B&B to anyone

We came for a wedding weekend. The cottage was quaint and private. It was clean and had everything we needed. I would stay here again!
5 on April 15, 2012
Pomegranate House & Cottages was perfect for our needs. We met friends there and the arrangements with each having our own private and beautiful cottage and being beside each other was great. We were able to sit on the porch and relax and visit. Sara was on a trip, but Tom filled both roles beautifully. The evening dessert was not only a surprise, but delicious, as was our breakfast. We will return!

Outstanding Bed & Breakfast!!! Great rooms and great service.

My husband and I just celebrated our 7 year anniversary with an overnight stay at the Carriage House of the Pomegranate Cottages. It was by far our most romantic and wonderful anniversary stay to date. The Carriage House is gorgeous and secluded so you feel like you are totally alone. I love the separate cottages for this property because you really get a sense of seclusion. Tom and Sara were delightful and the snacks, desserts and breakfast was divine. Our room was exceptionally clean and checking in and out was a breeze. We will definitely be staying at the Carriage House again in the future. I highly recommend this B&B!

My husband and I chose this bed and breakfast based on their website vs. several others in the area. We are sure we made the right choice. Upon our arrival we found warm cookies waiting, and met our hostess who was most congenial. Our cottage was across the garden courtyard from the main house, just past the koi pond. We found a cute little cottage, complete with front porch with our own little wicker chairs. The weather was chilly though, so we headed right inside to find our cottage was comfortably warm and cozy (it even had a gas fireplace, but we didn't end up using that.) The rooms inside (bedroom and bathroom) were immaculate, comfortable and tastefully decorated, and complete with everything you could want - shower, tub, coffee, ice and snacks at the main house, even fluffy robes in the wardrobe were available. When we returned after dinner there was freshly baked cake at the main house for guests which smelled delicious; however we were too full. Thankfully we had room for breakfast the next day though, as it was lovely and delicious. This B&B met or exceeded our expectations in every way, and we hope to return in several months.

Pomegranate house and cottages is great. The rooms are very nice, breakfasts and deserts are very good, and the scenery is very very nice

My husband and I stayed here this weekend for our wedding anniversary and had a perfect stay! The cottage was extremely cozy and extremely clean, breakfast was delicious and Sara was incredibly helpful! It is a pet friendly B&B, which allowed us to bring our dogs and we really appreciated that. We will definitely be staying here again!!

My wife and I headed up to Grandbury for a weekend get-away, and we stayed two nights at the Pomegranate House. We did not see Tom until the last day, but we had very friendly and warm conversations and interactions with Sara. She served us very well over our visit and was a kind host. The room was very nice and quiet, the bathroom and tub (important to us) was nice as well. What we enjoyed most, however, was the food, the snacks and the dessert. We were treated exceptionally well and were talking about going back before we had left the parking lot. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend and, in fact, have already done so.

I spent several nights in the Blue Heron Cottage. The room was cozy and convenient to the main house for breakfast and evening desserts. I loved the electric fire place for it's ambiance and warmth. The front porch was nice for sitting, reading and watching the waterfall and koi. I spent my afternoons shopping the antique malls and walking around the square a short distance from the B & B. The breakfast was very good. Sara and Tom took the ordinary and made it extraordinary with added touches. The only draw back would be the stone walkway that was a little hard to walk on. I have recommended this B & B to everyone I have talked to this week. I will return. Thank you Sara and Tom for the restful solitude.

Unfortunately my stay was only one night but I really did enjoy relaxing and the quiet in the Pecan Cottage. Sara was very sweet making sure if I needed anything to just call them. The area is really nice and with the walking path down by the park it really made my morning. Would go back in a minute!

Would highly recommend staying at the Pomegranate house. The house is very private, but yet feels very comfortable at the same time. The breakfast was also very tasty. We had a wonderful time

I stayed in the Blue Heron cottage for two nights during a business trip. I loved my cottage. It was very cozy and nicely decorated. The courtyard just outside my cottage included a big, beautiful oak tree and a koi pond with a trickling waterfall. I have a very expensive mattress at home so the quality of the bed and bedding are always a concern. I slept like a baby in my cottage bed. I slept so well that I was an hour and a half late to the office the next day! I did not get the chance to meet Sara, but I did meet Tom. He was very gracious and attentive to my needs. I also had the opportunity to visit a few minutes with their very adorable little four legged friends. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Check in was quick, easy, and very relaxed. We were pointed to our cottage and asked if we would like B'fast delivered. The cottage was clean, beautifully furnished, and perfect for the two of us. We drove into the town square (long but nice walk, but too cold) and enjoyed shopping. Quiet evening back in the cottage after dinner. Nice big shower for two. A great b'fast was delivered promptly at 8:30. We spent two nights and look forward to doing it again. Highly recommend the Pom House. Sara does an amazing job.

Me and my girlfriend came to visit over New Years Eve and we had a wonderful bonding and romantic experience. The room was very nice and the art work was went so well with the room. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the room was very noticeable. It is located on the main road so the town square and dining was easily accessible, as well. Me and my girl will definitely come back to visit. Jimmie and Tammy

They most certainly are pet friendly welcoming our 5 dogs for a Christmas get away. We chose the Pecan Cottage because we did not want our dogs disturbing other guests and it was just lovely. Clean, spacious, and with the just the right amount of Christmas decorations. They serve a full breakfast that was just wonderful. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Pomegranate House & Cottages.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The rooms were decorated for Christmas when we came and everything was gorgeous. The Blue Herron cottage was very cozy and warm. Breakfasts were much better than we even expected. There were multiple items each morning and your choice of many juices and/or coffee and everything was prepared wonderfully. We will definitely be coming back to stay the Pom House again.

I was beyond delighted with my little cottage - Royal Oak. Sara was a perfect hostess and the Baker's have thought of everything! This was my first time staying in a B&B and I couldn't have been more pleased. The cottage was so cozy and private. I'm grateful the cool weather made it perfect to curl up on the comfy bed and enjoy the fireplace while watching a movie from their guest cabana and reading. The jetted tub was so relaxing as well. Felt all around pampered! Breakfast was scrumptious and I was sad to leave. Can't wait to come back again for rest and solitude soon - just loved it. Loved driving/walking around Granbury as well and the gorgeous historic homes...what a fabulous town. Can't believe in 8 years of living in TX I've never been here. So glad I've been enlightened!

The cottage was beautiful. The individual porch was a nice touch. The evening dessert did not dissapoint and it was nice to be able to take it back to the room to eat and relax. The breakfast was delicious as well. Definitely worth the price. The only problem is the neighbors had a very unsightly yard but I believe the owner of the cottage was in the process of putting up new fences to block that. The bathroom in the cottage is separated by a wall and french doors, however, at the top of the wall is a foot and a half gap so you can hear everything that goes on in the bathroom, from the bedroom. That porch comes in handy for those times. Overall, I would recommend this place and stay there again
Hooray! The new fence is up!!!

The Innkeepers were very nice. We were thrilled that we were able to take our two dogs. Our stay was very calming especially with the front porch and scenery. This was a very charming and relaxing bed and breakfast. Our room was secluded and very nice. Sitting on the porch was so calming, watching the squirrel running the treetops. I came with my sister's for a birthday weekend of a friend and it's a great place for family gatherings with everyone having their own space. I look forward to returning with my husband for a romantic getaway soon as well. Great atmosphere! Certainly recommend it to anyone that is looking to get away and relax!

We booked the Pecan Cottage to celebrate our friend's 40th birthday and had an amazing time. There were 4 ladies sharing the cottage and we had plenty of space. Sara was a wonderful host, despite a difficult personal situation arising. The stuffed French toast for breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be returning as a group and I'm planning an escape with my husband as soon as I can get someone to watch the kids :)

Stayed in the newly remodeled Garden Cottage. All was good. The Innkeepers are very friendly and great hosts. You can close off the bedroom and bathroom from the setting room but they should really reinstall the door between the bedroom and commode area for privacy. Other than that we will see Tom and Sara again!

My wife picked Granbury and the Pomegranate to celebrate my 63rd birthday and boy, am I glad she did. Everything was outstanding from the get-go. Tom and Sarah have created a heavenly oasis just minutes from downtown Granbury and the lake, and the Pomegranate is definitely on the top of our list for a return visit. I want to personally thank them for making my 63rd bday so memorable. Milt Driver, Plano, TX.

We would not recommend this for elderly or handicap person due to rock pathways to the cottages and stairs leading up to each door. The gardens were nice and the coi pond an extra. The bonus area room was very nice but could use a television/video unit for viewing movies, etc. The Carriage House unit that we stayed in needs the a/c moved to another window instead of right besides the bed as it got very chilly at night. Overalll great B&B!
So glad they enjoyed their stay. There is no TV in the public area as each individual cottage has their own TV/DVD. A TV in the public guest area may disturb other guests who may be in there reading, etc. The A/C in the Carriage House is not in a window - it is an individually controlled HVAC unit in the wall. We are always happy to help each guest adjust the control dial to their preference. As in the pictures on our website, there are 2-4 steps going up to the porch of each of the cottages - happily, none of them are very steep.

We enjoyed a wonderful overnight quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. Our cottage was just right - clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Sara was a wonderful hostess (Tom was out of town), delivering dessert and preparing a bountiful breakfast. We took advantage of the Guest Lounge, which has a nice selection of DVDs, plus popcorn to enjoy with your movie. Too bad the record-setting heat made it hard to enjoy the beautiful courtyard and private porch except in the early morning hours, but that's a good enough excuse to return when it's cooler!

This was our second visit and we plan to return again and again!

We checked in on a Friday and only stayed one night. We stayed in the Blue Heron cottage. WHile it was the smallest of the cottages it was more than adequate and tastefully appointed. Great attention was paid to details. The breakfast was simple and very tasty. Pomegranate juice, french toast and bacon. The Innkeepers were very friendly yet not overly intrusive. The place was very clean. I purchased the optional dozen red roses and the fruit/ cheese platter. Both were as advertised and reassonably priced. We totallly enjoyed out stay and plan on a return trip when we have more time.

My mother and I recently spent a night at Pomegranate for a quick Mother's Day retreat. Everything about this property was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect: close to the square, beach, and drive-in, but you wouldn't know it because of how peacefully quiet it is. The grounds are as beautiful as the pictures. I just loved the koi pond, swings, and all the flowers. The community room has an excellent selection of DVDs and bestsellers free to guests if you want to stay in and watch a movie. The rooms were tastefully decorated & had all the ammentities we love: sitting room, tub with hand-held shower, separate stand-in shower, DVD player, rockers on the front porch, even candy dishes full of treats. The bed was so comfortable we almost couldn't get out of it! Sarah made a delicious gourmet breakfast the next morning, and Tom brought out his adorable new kitten and dogs to visit everyone upon request. For those travelling with pets, it is extremely pet friendly. Tom and Sarah both are extremely gracious, personable, and go out of their way for their guests to make sure their stay is comfortable and convenient. I hope to return again as soon as the budget allows!

4.0 on May 29, 2011
We stayed two nights at $165.00 a night which is extremely over priced. If you don't do well in tiny spaces then staying here is an absolute not. The "cottages" really should be called match boxes are a joke. We had our two dogs with us, which again they emphasize "pet friendly" and we could hardly move around in the cottage. I will say it was clean and beautifully decorated, but size and comfort is more important to us as I would feel it would be to you as well. I thought well we're a little cramped, I'm tired from the drive so I'll enjoy a Hot jacuzzi bath. Instead I took a cold pathetic jetted tub bath. There is absolutely no area to walk you're dog unless you want them to do there business on a uneven concrete rock path that if you're not careful you very easily could stump you're toe and fall. I did find a very small patch of ground cover in the far back. By the second night I took them on a walk within the neighborhood. So bring comfortable walking shoes. You'll need them to be safe not to fall walking to your "cottage" and if you have a dog be prepared to take your pooch on a walk so they will be able to relieve themselves. BRING BUG SPRAY. I was stung by a wasp in the bed in our room. The inn keeper did however offer after me informing him that I had been bitten an antibiotic ointment for my discomfort. Nothing was said to the effect, "I'm sorry about that and I'll be sure to spray on your porch area to hopefully eliminate a wasp entering your cottage again." By our second morning we didn't even stay around for breakfast. Breakfast on the first day consisted of soggy french toast and one, yes one piece of sausage. The hasbrowns were the best part of the breakfast and the fruit cup. Dessert is set out in the evening. First night was a chocolate cupcake like something you would made out of a Pillsbury cake mix. The second night was some type of coffee cake. Don't expect any gourmet cooking here.
We are very sorry these folks were not happy - this is the first we have heard about it. If they had told us their problems while here - we would have tried to fix the ones we could. However they chose to write this review instead. We started to address each of their complaints but decided they just probably would have been happier in a motel. We do appreciate their high ratings in all categories and wish them happy travels.

Sarah and Tom were pleasant and gracious, and the food was wonderful. We loved the landscaping and relaxed atmosphere, too. Be aware that there's not an actual shower in the bathroom (Royal Oak Cottage). It's a garden tub with a pull-out sprayer. Also, the walls go 80% up between the bedroom and bathroom. (If I were a newlywed, I would want more bathroom privacy.) All in all, we would go back. It's a lovely property.
We enjoyed having these folks with us. I would just like to further explain the way the cottage bathroom is set-up. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom is approximately 8 1/2 feet high, the ceiling is about 12 feet high - so there is more than enough wall separation between the two rooms. The Royal Oak is one of our less expensive cottages so it doesn't have a separate shower. It does have an extra wide whirlpool tub with a hand-held shower. Most guests don't mind the hand-held shower as they are only here for one - three nights and enjoy something "different". This is a beautiful cottage and we invite everyone to come see it!

The only downside is that there is shabby house right next door, but the property is arranged so you hardly notice it. Breakfast, snacks, and dessert were readily available and the owners were very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again if we have the chance!

I had a great stay at Pomegranate House over a long weekend. The cottages are great and provide privacy. I enjoyed sitting out on my porch each day and although it is right off a fairly busy road, it is very peaceful in the courtyard. The evening desserts were a highlight for me and were excellent!!! I brought my dog and he felt very much at home here as well. I would recommend it 100%.

My sister and I were so pleased to see that the Pomegranate looked exactly like the pictures on their website. The huge trees in the garden, the Koi pond, and trellis were perfect for taking photos to place in our scrapbooks. Inside the cottage, the wooden furniture was ornate. There was even a chandelier in the spotless bathroom. The nice touches that Tom (owner) provided: mints by the bedside, desserts that he delivered to our room, and the dvd's/popcorn in the Cabana room, that made us feel like pampered guests. We totally recommend this place if you need a safe haven where you can relax.

You must try the dessert which is served in the evening. You will not be disappointed. Tom the inkeeper even took time to track us down on the Granbury Square to let us know that a cottage that we had originally requested had come open because of a last minute cancellation. He then gave us the key, told us to choose which one we wanted, and told us that " even though it was a larger cottage the same rate would apply". This is a wonderful Inn, run by wonderful people. We will recommend this Inn to our friends, and look forward to a return visit.

A terrific little place on the west side of Granbury. It's right on Pearl St., and the downtown square is within walking distance. The Brazos Drive-In is a few blocks to the west. Tom is a fantastic chef and host. Breakfast was delicious and substantial all three mornings we were there. The nightly desserts were also outstanding, and various snacks were available all day long. Breakfast conversation with Tom was lively and interesting; he's a well-traveled, salty fellow, and very friendly. Our cottage - the Royal Oak - was gorgeous and comfortable. While we got out and about in town, this is the sort of place where you could bunker in for a few days and do little to nothing. Full cable TV and an integrated DVD player (with a nice selection of discs in the Guest Cabana) provide plenty of entertainment. Wireless Internet access keeps you connected if you must be. The bed is supremely comfortable, with quality linens and loads of pillows. And the tub is beyond large; it's great for a nice, long soak. The grounds are well-maintained, with enormous oaks providing shade plenty of neighborhood wildlife around; we snapped pics of a beautiful cardinal in the pond fountain. It's just far enough away from the downtown area to be wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Definitely worth the money. Highly recommended, especially for a getaway from the DFW metroplex.

My husband and I had a WONDERFUL stay at the Pomegranate House! They were able to schedule a masseus to come to our room on a Sunday! Breakfast the next morning was yummy, the jacuzzi tub was WONDERFUL, all in all a great stay!

This was my first time at a B&B and I selected Pomegranate because I thought it looked nice. This was a special night out for my anniversary. I kept it as a surprise from my wife and when we pulled up she was definitely surprised. She had never been to a B&B before either and didn’t know what to expect. Tom was very courteous and helpful and he showed us to our room and we just loved it from the start (we were in the garden cottage). The bed was spacious and soft and I fell in love with the HUGE walk in shower. That night my wife and I spent a night out on the town taking in the local scene and even managed to catch a movie at the local drive-in which is a couple of blocks away from the Pomegranate. The next morning we were awoken to the sweet smell of breakfast cooking in the main house. We went over and were pleasantly surprised. The company was entertaining and the breakfast was divine. Unfortunately I had only booked one night and the Pomegranate was completely booked for the rest of the weekend. I would have loved to stay another night. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Pomegranate for some relaxing time and some alone time with that special someone.

I cannot provide a review of the Pomegranate because we were caught in the D/FW ice storms. What I can say is that the owners were more than understanding when I called them (prior to our stay) and explained the situation. They were very flexible and accomodating. I greatly appreciate the fact that they were willing to work with us. I look forward to staying here and thanking them in person.

The Carriage House was very nice. We loved that each room at the Pom is a separate building and the Innkeeers were dog friendly. The large 2 person jet tub was great! We will stay there again. This was my 2nd trip.

Very well put together facilities. Our only dissappointment was a filthy coffee pot in our room. Otherwise, nothing but high marks.
So very sorry - I obviously just missed it - we wish you had brought it to our attention while you were here. Promise - it won't happen again!

My wife & I took a getaway trip to Granbury. We stayed two nights at the Pomegranate out in one of the cottages. Can not thank Tom & Sara enough for making our stay as enjoyable as it was. We enjoyed our trip and did not want to leave when it was time. We still miss Ace the friendly cat that lives on the property. Thank you Tom & Sara

My husband and I went to Pomegranate House over Thanksgiving 2010 and loved every minute! From the moment we drove up, we could see the attention to detail. A lovely courtyard lit with white lights and Koi pond welcomed us to a beautiful cottage with taseful decorations and a warm homey feeling. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, and the breakfast well worth getting out of bed for despite the sudden almost freezing temperatures. The fact that they welcomed our dog was just icing on the cake!

We stayed at Pomegranate House on Thanksgiving night after spending the holidays at my in-laws there in town. It was a very nice get-away. Breakfast was great and Tom and Sara are very nice. We will definitely consider staying there again in the future.

Individual cabins, very comfortable, arranged around a restful koi pond set in the shade of enormous ancient oaks. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts and evening desserts were outstanding. Very convenient to downtown square. Our only objection was an extremely noisy ceiling fan in the bedroom that needed replacement.
5 on November 15, 2010
What an awesome place to stay! The cottage had so much more to offer than I could have ever expected. The Innkeepers were the best. There were perfect little touches that I didn't stop discovering. We will definitely pay a visit again... excellent, excellent, excellent!

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Pomegranate House. We brought our two dogs and had a delightful time. Sara and Tom really understand that our pets are our family. The fact that the cottages were separate ensured that there was no unwelcome noise to bother adjoining visitors. The breakfasts served were delicious and ample and dessert was decadent. We hope to return soon.

We needed a place to stay overnight that was not too far from home. We found this B&B and fell in love with the little cabins and yard oasis. You do not feel like you are cramped or in someone's home. The privacy and quiet was wonderful. Plus the breakfast, snacks and sweets were the best!

My husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in the Blue Heron Cottage. It was a beautiful setting with the landscaping, the pond and all the amenities provided in the room. My husband loved the jetted tub and I loved the sound of the lapping pond water while sitting on our front porch watching squirrels playing in the trees. The Pomegranite is a beautiful place to stay and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Granbury. It beats the other B&B's I've stayed at in Granbury in the past. We'll definitely be staying here again any time we need to get away from everyday living. Thank you Tom & Sarah for providing us with such a beautiful, relaxing & enjoyable place to stay. Breakfast was delicious, the room was beautiful & it was the perfect getaway for us.

Loved the cottage set up at the Pom house. It made for a more private B&B experience. Very cute, exceptionally clean, and loved chatting with the owners. Location is perfect to get to downtown Granbury and the lake. Breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed having snacks and dessert. We also loved the extra cottage with books and Dvd's to check out.

Cottage was very nicely decorated with antique surroundings. Water features were very nice. Had a great time in the cabana playing cards and having popcorn. However, we turned on the heater in our cottage and it smelled and there was a lot of dust and dander on the filter. Also, we could not sit out on the porch of the main house to have coffee as the chairs were not clean. Most of the cushions had cat hair all over them. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

I thought the pictures on their web-site were probably better than how it would really be when we got there, but it was quite the opposite. It was even BETTER, way better, than I expected. Tom and Sara gave us a warm welcome, responded to every request, no matter how random, and the breakfast was pleasantly surprising each morning. Their attention to detail is what will make me come back again and again and again and recommend this place to everyone!!

It was amazing! i highly recommend this place. thanks

My husband and I only had one night to get away from oour extremely busy kid-filled life and we chose the Pomegranate House. Tom and Sara were wonderful hosts. Our cottage was private and the grounds were immaculate and peaceful. Sunday morning breakfast came with excellent food and many laughs. We left with new friends made and feeling like we had been there a week not one night. We were so rested and renewed that we can not wait to visit them again!

Tom and Sara have created a beautiful masterpiece at this location! They are so hospitable and the cottages are absolutely gorgeous and perfect for an overnight trip or romantic getaway! We stayed in the carriage house for one night while my husband was on a business trip. It was romantic, cozy, and just perfect for our stay. The breakfast the next morning was melt in your mouth good with a scrambled egg basket, fruit, hashbrowns, ham, fresh juice, and a homemade sticky bun. My only complaint is that we didn't have longer to stay this time, but I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you so much, Tom and Sara!

My wife and I stayed three nights and were pleased with the accomodations. Tom's deserts were sinfully tasty and his breakfasts were excellent! The only drawback was traffic noise, and fairly frequent emergency sirens because the police station is down the street. Granbury has lots to offer in entertainment and food, and the lake is right there! Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the Carriage House, with a very comfortable bed and sitting area. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, and had it been warmer, I would have loved to sit outside on the swing and enjoy the fountain and pond. We Recently stayed in the royal oak cottage room for our anniversary. It had just been remodeled and was soooo cute. The owners are very personable, friendly, and very keen on detail. The room was immaculate, everything had a formal feel to it, that you were staying in a very classy, rich and high class establishment. The breakfast was a formal breakfast with the comfort of your grandma's porch. The owners were not hotel keepers, they were hosts in every aspect of the word and we loved everything about our stay.

We hunted and hunted for just the right place to spend our wedding night May 2007 and stumbled upon the Pomegranate House. My husband called Betty and secretly arranged champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and all the romantic touches that he could think of to make our evening even more special and Betty was wonderful about accomodating all of his wishes. Everything about the PH is WONDERFUL ! We just spent our 1 year anniversary at the PH and stayed in the same cottage and plan to go back every year from now on. Tom, Betty and their 3 dogs are the perfect hosts ! The grounds, landscaping and tranquility of the PH will make you wish you had booked another night or another week! The breaksfasts are to absolutely die for...you better come hungry!!!!

While my wife and I were celebrating our 4th Wedding Anniversary, we were virgins to the Bed and Breakfast experience, and we could not have asked for a better place to celebrate. Pomegranate House is an exceptionally wonderful bed and breakfast. We stayed in "Camille's Cottage" for two nights, and it was exquisite. From the beautiful Victorian decor, to the dozen roses, the sparkling cider and chocolate covered strawberries, Betty and Tom made sure everything was perfect, for me and my bride. The plush bed was heavenly. We slept better than we have in weeks. The beautiful bathroom with jacuzzi tub-for-two, was wonderful as well. Also, I would put Tom's breakfasts up against any chefs anywhere. Scrumptuous only barely starts to compliment them. Truly a gifted man. Last but not least,by any means, Tommy and Betty are the most gracious hosts. Their warmth, and willingness to serve truly puts most 5 Star hotels to bitter shame. They are true blessings. We will forever remember this anniversary, and the time we spent at Pomegranate House.

Three couples of us made reservations to stay one evening. Our hosts were extremely gracious by opening and describing all their facilities. Breakfast was absolutely beyond compare ~~ so outstanding!! Even though the breakfast table had been set for the next morning, the china and crystal place settings were cleared so the 6 of us could play dominoes. Conversation during breakfast was light and delightful. They do know why we enjoy B & B's and they cater to our cravings to be pampered!!

Pomegranate House is the best B&B I have ever stayed in because: 1. Betty and Tommy love people, they are so warm and genuine, that you feel at home instantly. 2. We were served a beautiful gourmet breakfast fit for a king. 3. Their property is a haven tucked away in beautiful trees, you will feel like you are in paradise. The fish pond is very relaxing. 4. You will have hot fresh coffee served on your private porch in the morning. 5. They have the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.... 6. This property was cleaner than any I have ever seen. 7. I will stay at the Pomegranate House again soon. This time, I will book for more than one night. My first visit was 3/2/08. :)

My two friends and I went to Granbury to celebrate our birthdays. We were greeted with the warmth and friendliness of family; even though we were total strangers. Our rooms were awesome. Not only beautiful but very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the garden angel cottage. It had a huge tub with jets for total relaxation. I slept like a baby and woke up to my favorite coffee on my porch, with real cream. However, if you are not a coffe drinker, don't worry they have a selection of teas, juices and soft drinks, etc. Breakfast was very good and I hope you are hungry because there is no way I could have finished all the delicious food that was provided. (Very large portions and a variety of breakfast favorites) No question I would stay there again.

Individual cottages are a unique set up, very comfortable, private, and adorable. Dozens of little special touches, provisions, and comforts make this a relaxing, "no worries" place to stay. Beverages, snacks, activities, places to gather and visit, morning in room beverage service, amazing "comfort" type food in large portions, great hospitality and stories shared by the hosts.

We were looking for a place to stay after we went to see the show at Granbury Live. We were also celebrating our anniversary. We have stayed at B&B's all over Texas and we are putting this one at the top of the list. We felt like we had gone to stay with our Aunt and Uncle. Our only regret is that we only went one night. We may try one of the other rooms when we go back. I want everyone to go visit Tommy and Betty and take some time to walk the grounds and enjoy the town.

I have always wanted to stay in a bed and breakfast, and the Pomegranate House far exceeded my expectations. The cottage that we stayed in was lovely, with a wonderful jacuzzi tub and beautiful bed. Coffee at the door in the morning, selections of teas, sodas and the most delicious "pink sweetie" cookies made our stay just perfect. The food was to-die-for and Tommy and Betty were great company and better hosts!

I traveled all the way from Sweden to Dallas and I had wished for a real American experience and the romantic getaway at the Pomegranate House was completely breathtaking. It was more than I ever could have wished for. The room was lovely decorated and fantastically romantic, the breakfast was intimate, personal and really memorable. Tommy and Betty are very friendly, caring and fantastic hosts.

Our room was comfortable, clean and restful. Tommy and Betty are excellent hosts. We love the pink cookies and the chocolate covered straberries. We are hoping that next time the porch of the cabin will be a little cleaner and that we can enjoy spending time on it. We love coming to this B and B as often as we possibly can and we recommend it to all of our friends. We especially want to thank Tommy and Betty for their buy two nights get one free special. Three nights in this beautiful place were and amazing gift! This is our favorite getaway!!
5 on March 01, 2008
This was a wonderful getaway from the usual weekend in the Metroplex. When I called to make room reservations, Betty described several eateries in the area and made reservations for us. We hit traffic leaving and had to move the reservations back; Betty took care of everything. We stayed in one of the cottages, clean and quaint. The whole property is beautiful but the house is amazing. Breakfast was delicious and they had several types of cookies and candies always around if you want a snack. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting a getaway from the normal stress.

We have all agreed that this was just a wonderful vacation for some hard-working musicians who stayed here. Breakfast was awesome, rooms awesome, coffee in the mroning at each door was awesome, and the cookies and fruit and candy "laying around all over" was awesome! Hope we stay there again next year!

My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs. Pomegranate House is by far the best. Betty and Tommy are fabulous hosts. Every detail was taken care of and the extra touches like coffee brought to the cottage first thing every morning and a cozy outdoor fire each evening made our stay all the more enjoyable. The garden setting complete with Koi pond is beautiful and restful. The breakfast each morning was fantastic. We stayed in the Carriage House cottage and will stay there again. We highly recommend this B&B and we look forward to seeing Betty and Tommy again on our next trip to Granbury.

Just to say Betty & Tommy are very gifted innkeepers who know how to make you feel right at home. From the very first hello until the last goodbye, we were made to feel so welcomed, and truly experienced one of Texas best B & B's in the state. If you are looking for charm & hospitality, you have found it here. Cozy & comfortable cottages with plenty of privacy, & scrumptious breakfast. Delicious homemade cookies, and special touches for all tastes! New friends.

My husband and I first honeymooned in Granbury but at a different bed and breakfast. When we tried this one, we were completely hooked!!! The private cottage was wonderful and comfortable and we loved walking back to our door through a beautiful peaceful garden. The homemade cookies are fantastic and their breakfast is by far the best we have ever had (and my husband is a picky eater!) We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and already have made reservations to return this spring.

My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's in our 27 years of marrige, and our weekend at the Pomergranate House was by far one of the best. Tommy and Betty made us feel right at home from the moment we pulled into the driveway. The cottage we stayed in was very cozy and comfortable. The best part of our stay came the next morning at the breakfast table. We had the pleasure of dining with our hosts. The meal was outstanding. When we first reserved our stay, we were "settling", or so we thought. What a wonderful surprise!!! From the delicious breakfast, to the comfy spacious rooms, to the overall grounds, to the feeling of being pampered, we were thoroughly delighted. We have been weekending in Granbury for years, and after our old favorite changed owners last year, we have been trying a number of B&B's to find a new home away from home. The search is over.
5 on December 17, 2007
I chose to stay at this B & B because of all the reviews that I had previosly read. It really was as nice as what all the others have said. Nice, comfortable place to stay. Great location, Outstanding service. As far as the breakfast goes "you ain't eatin at no Dennys here". Very unique, very large breakfasts. I would go back again.

This was our 2nd birthday celebration at the Pomegranate House.Tommy and Betty have created an atmoshpere where you can forget about all of the hustle and bustle of your busy lives and just relax!!!!! The rooms are lavish and well appointed. The breakfast that Tommy and Betty create are heavenly and will keep you filled up well into the day. If you leave the table hungry, shame on you!!!! Granbury is such a nice getaway and the Pomegranate House is an excellant value! We will be back many times in the future!

This is probably our 7th or 8th time that we have stayed at the Pomegranate House. We always come the weekend closest to our anniversary. We love the personal attention that you receive and the house is decorated lovely, especially around Christmas. The surroundings are unbelievable. We have been unable to come the last 2 yrs due to conflicts that particular weekend. This was the first time that we have stayed here since Tommy and Betty bought it a couple of years ago. They have done a terrific job and it felt like going home. The gourmet breakfasts are amazing. They are very knowledgeable of the area and the activities taking place. We will certainly come back again & again! I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

We choose to spent our honeymoon at Pomegranate House and that was the best decision we could have made. The setting is warm and inviting and the service can not be better. The rooms are charming and instill a warm feeling like one has come home. The breakfast is a wonder in itself. Not only is the setting inviting, the meal is a culinary delight worth the stay in it's own right. As the time of our stay drew to a close we already made the choice to spend our first anniversary at the Pomegranate House.

The room we had, had a claw tub and were in the smallest room. It was a little small. Next time we will rent one of the rooms with a huge tub and more space. Tommy and Betty were terrific host that made sure that I and the girls enjoyed Granbury (shopping and Granbury Live) and the cottages were so warm and inviting that we just hated to go!!!! Oh, and the food was incredible; cookies, breakfast and more. Thank you so much for making this such a memorable birthday.

We found a treasure just a few steps away from the heart of historic downtown Granbury. The Pomegranate House, a romantic inn nestled beneath the trees, is a reflection of the best Granbury has to offer. Our cottage was secluded and spacious, a completely new addition to an already charming arrangement of attached and detached cottages and rooms. We had the most relaxing weekend of romance at the Pomegranate House; we have fully recharged our intimacy. Take time to enjoy the gardens or feed the koi in the pond. For a special treat, make sure you try the freshly baked Sweetie Cookies. Be sure to spend time with owners Tommy and Betty Potts, as they are the heart of the charm of this cozy Bed and Breakfast as well as ambassadors of this quaint little town. We are already planning our next return to this very special place.

The idea of a B&B always put me off because of the lack of privacy. Then, my wife discovered the Pomegranate House with their three beautifully decorated and very private garden cottages. The attention to detail, friendly service, excellent food, and beautiful surroundings made for a most memorable weekend. Betty and Tommy's hospitality made us feel very welcome. Betty's fresh-baked cookies are delicious and we are still talking about Tommy's gourmet breakfast. We will be back.
