The bayou guest house located on the East End of Galveston Island around L St. & 25th Avenue was very nice and I would return if the need arises. It’s on a street that was quiet at night. There are some houses nearby that Are in need of repair but then again this is a real neighborhood. This area of Galveston is generally safe though and was not a concern. The house is in really good shape and we’ll cared for having been around since before 1900. Kelly who was our host while we were visiting was extremely nice and cooked a great breakfast on both mornings. I enjoyed the hospitality room upstairs where I was able to get coffee first thing in the morning and various other drinks as well hot and cold. Kelli would also leave some fresh homemade cookies in the room as well. There is also a TV in this room. They have parking behind the building for about four cars but I parked on the street side the whole time and never worried about the car. Overall I would highly recommend it and the only issue I really had was that our bed was a little creaky/noisy. Every time I or my wife turned over in the bed it was a little noisy but not bothersome.

The B&B was a great place to stay for a weekend in Galveston. The location was perfect for walking to the beach, Moody Mansion, the Strand, and Bishop’s Palace. The family style breakfasts were very good and it was fun to meet and talk to others visiting Galveston.

I was running half marathon so booked B&B iso soulless hotel. Nice location 5 blks from beach and not too far from the strand. Lovely room on 2nd flr (Elissa) overlooking street. Big bonus hospitality room with 24hr free coffee, tea, soft drinks, cookies etc. For us like an extra room since just across the hall. also balcony overlooking street. I had an early start (6am) for race so they made a special brekkie for me at 10:15 when I got back. Lovely people and we'd go back. You should try it. only 5 rooms so it sells out early. Give it a try. (SteveY)

We stayed one night so we would be nearby (and not feel "rushed") to board our cruise that would set sail the next day. We were so impressed and plan to come back soon. Completely positive experience. Such a cool historic home that survived the 1900 hurricane. Dave is a super great host. We were lucky to stay on an unusually slow night when only one other couple was there so we got to spend extra time visiting with Dave. He gave us so much helpful info about Galveston. We also got to park near the cruise terminal for free (for 5 days!) because Dave has a pre-paid contract with a lot there. -Amy and Mel from Fort Worth, Texas.

Lost Bayou Guesthouse was very nice and comfy. Stayed in the Elissa room that was upstairs in the front of the house. It was very convenient to the balcony and hospitality room. The hospitality room is awesome with everything you might need. Fridge with soft drinks, water, juice and flavored coffee creamer. They provide hot tea, coffee and coco anytime of the day. Snacks and cookies are also provided. There is seating for 6 people and a TV. The breakfast was awesome served family style. Lots of good food. Dave was extra accommodating to us and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great stay and will be back.

We stayed in the Santa Fe Room on the third floor. The bath was in the hall at the top of the stairs. The room was large and the window AC units kept it cool even on the very warm Galveston days. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very good; delicious and inventive. Dave and Kelly were warm and welcoming. We used the bikes ; they were in good condition. We rented a golf cart and Dave was accommodating with an extension cord so we could charge the carts. A Galveston vexperience - warm, relaxed and authentic
