Great Bed and Breakfast

5 on March 04, 2018

My adult daughter and I had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Claude was our host and made us two delicious breakfast. There were four couples during our stay and we were able to visit with them during our breakfast meals. Our room was clean and so was our separate bathroom. We only wish the water pressure in the shower would have been powerful. I would recommend this B&B.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your recommendation and review. We're glad you enjoyed breakfast and getting to know the other guests. We will check the shower and see if there is anything that can be done to increase the pressure. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

What a lovely B&B!

5 on December 23, 2017

My new wife wanted to stay at a B&B as one of her Christmas presents from me. She specifically wanted to stay at Magnolia House in Fredericksburg, TX. She had stayed there once before years ago and never forgot the experience. She raved to me about the house, the proprietors and most of all the breakfasts. Breakfast was a top notch experience all of its own. The variety of foods served were plated beautifully, they all tasted amazing and the variety was eye popping. Wow. Prior to this trip I had only stayed at B&Bs twice. Both times the experiences left something to be desired and were a bit of a let down overall. THIS stay however has totally changed my views on what a B&B experience can truly be. Fantastic. They had everything you might need available to you right down to medical necessities, soft drinks and even home made cookies. I can't think of any detail that would have made it better for me. What a beautiful experience it was for us both. We WILL be going back!

Innkeeper Response
We are so happy that you had a great B&B experience with us! Thank you for writing this 5 star review. We look forward to having you both come back for another visit sometime soon.

Super clean a well appointed!

5 on November 25, 2017

Every detail was well thought out, the hosts were incredibly gracious and clear put great thought into their guests’ experience. Well appointed bath and sleeping room. Delicious scratch breakfast served at a beautifully set dining room table. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting and the dining table with our fellow housemates.

Wonderful Visit

5 on November 07, 2017

We really enjoyed our stay at Magnolia House. Everything there is first class – food, décor, toiletries, etc. – just as shown on their website. The breakfasts were delicious and with 2 courses you won’t be looking for lunch any time soon. We also enjoyed the cookies in the afternoon. Lisa and Claude are wonderful hosts and very helpful with recommendations for where to eat, wine tastings, museums, and other things to do in the area. We will definitely stay there again.

Innkeeper Response

Excellent Stay

5 on November 05, 2017

The Magnolia House is a great B&B! The rooms were lovely, there was plenty of communal space for my family to play games and sit outside. And the breakfast was amazing! There were also several very nice touches like places to store refrigerated items, snacks (cookies, brownies, teas, etc.), and games and DVDs available. I highly recommend them if you're planning on staying in the Fredericksburg area!

Innkeeper Response
It was a pleasure having you and your family stay with us. The Magnolia House is perfect for family/friend gatherings as we have lots of common areas (both indoors and outdoors) for everyone to gather. We appreciate your 5 star review!

Magnolia House is our home away from home

5 on September 04, 2017

The Magnolia House is a beautifully restored home that is simply charming. Claude and Lisa are fantastic hosts who have lived in Fredericksburg for many years. They offered us many recommendations for outings, dinners and events happening in the surrounding area during our stay. They are also wonderful cooks who prepared delicious two-course breakfasts for us each day. We are going to especially miss their signature morning juice and pastries. We look forward to our next visit and staying with them again.

Outstanding in every respect

5 on August 26, 2017

We travelled to Fredericksburg (from Australia) on the recommendation of our daughter who in turn had received a recommendation from US colleagues. It was a long way to come but in every respect the trip was worthwhile. Apart from the very comfortable physical facilities, Claude and Lisa were outstanding hosts - absolutely comfortable in the role which made us as guests feel welcome and comfortable (in marked contrast to an experience we had elsewhere in another state)! Claude and Lisa and Magnolia House are the gold standard for bed & breakfasts in the US.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your review and your compliments are much appreciated. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and your visit to the states.
