Barons CreekSide featured in the HILL COUNTRY MAGAZINE: "....stands out as extra-special" ! CABELAS has chosen the property to shoot their fashion catalog for the last three years. Two creeks are running trough 26 rolling acres with its own vineyard. Listen to the sounds of nature on your porch ..and if you are ready for downtown Fredericksburg: its only a 2 minute drive. The best of both worlds. The 11 "Swiss Log Cabins" were reconstructed from a 250 year old farmhouse that was shipped from Switzerland to Fredericksburg. Rustic elegance at its best. Whether you want a romantic weekend or gather with friends. All cabins have their own kitchenette or full kitchen(..the gentlemen usually sneak into town early in the morning to get some fresh goodies from one of the German bakeries). We can accommodate up to 59 guests in 18 different cabins and the Big Lodge. An eclectic wine bar / bistro with live music on site (open Th/Fr/Sat). Great fishing just steps away from the cabins.

This was our second visit to celebrate an anniversary. We've decided to make this a regular visit for us. The cabins are incredible. We spent an hour or two just looking at all of the detail in the rustic cabin. Everything was clean and spotless. The tub was relaxing, the view spectacular, the cats friendly and the ducks entertaining. We enjoyed the entertainment of the onsite Club from the comfort of our porch rocking chairs. the music was paired with the babbling of the creek and the twinkling of the stars. We booked a couple's message as well as a wine tour through Baron's and both were outstanding. Great partnership!! Thank to Daniel and Deborah for the exquisite site and the opportunity to relax or go play or in our case....both. Jeff and Kay Meyer Aug 2018

Barons Creek is a lovely setting just outside Fredericksberg. There are numerous swiss chalets in a country setting, so its not like a typical hotel at all. Rooms were clean with a lit if quaint touches. The new bar/ restaurant insite is a big addition so you dont have to go to town. Great weekend. Enjoy!

We enjoyed our stay however the cleanliness could of been better on the floors in the bathrooms we stayed and around the toilets etc. other than that we enjoyed the stay very much. The Club was ok but pretty much started shutting down and putting chairs on the tables and all about 10pm and even the band stopped playing and left. Even though sign said they were open until 11pm. Also the waiter acted aggravated that we wanted to order a cheese tray. He said well let me see if the kitchen is still open?? For a cheese tray. This was at around 9:45pm 8-18-18. Last time I was here and it was 5yrs ago and there was no restaurant. I know it's a nice touch and great to have but the people working should be prepared to be there and still serving up until 11pm, not leave by 11pm.

We stayed as a wedding party. Everyone complemented on how great the houses were and how great it was to be able to walk around to each house to visit.
The original old 2 bedroom farmhouse. The deck overlooks large mesquite trees. Private outdoor" Hot tub" under the stars and a fire pit. Lots of privacy and pet friendly. The Mesquite Farmhouse offers lots of privacy and it has a private dog run, so its truly PET FRIENDLY. Closest to our famous fish hole. You always have the whole house for yourself !
The original Kentucky Log Cabin from the 17th century, very private and cozy, ok with kids and pets as well. The most private of our Log Cabins with a fireplace. Kids and pet friendly. An original hand-crafted bed is the focal point of this romantic bedroom. The bed has rustic wood posts with an old iron gate as a headboard. Special touches include a stained glass window found in the highest point of the eve over the bed.
