Had a great time and a wonderful breakfast. Enjoyed several hours talking to Alla about Europe and organic food. An unbelievable coincidence when we discovered our common interest in Rudesheim. Got a kick out of the chickens. Highly recommended.

Alla and Rick treat you like family. I loved all of the antiques and it was so quiet. The wonderful breakfast made it worth getting up each morning after very late nights. Getting to know Alla and Rick over the weekend was amazing, loved their stories, by the time we left they've become family. Very blessed to have met this couple. Will be repeat customers for sure.

Husband is a history buff and loves all the antiques. I love the warm atmosphere and the AMAZING European organic breakfast! You MUST try it! Alla makes everything from scratch! Alla and Rick make the stay at their bnb as comfortable as possible!!

We had such a wonderful day/night at Alla's Historical Bed and Breakfast in Duncanville, Tx. She is such a high spirited woman and the history in the home was amazing. It was a very inviting and comfortable experience. ¿ The food was delicious and organic. I was only able to take a couple pictures before my phone died. I missed my hubby so much and this is exactly what we needed. Thank you for everything.

This is my second one week stay at Alla's and it feels like coming to visit old friends. Alla and Rick are very welcoming and hospitable. The rooms are very comfortable, cozy, and quiet. My room had a private bath which was a huge bonus! The delicious organic breakfast was made by Alla and chickens roaming in the backyard supplied our fresh eggs. Shopping is very close and Dallas is only minutes away. Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast will always be the place I stay whenever I'm in town and where I would recommend to all my friends and family.

My husband and I went to Alla's for our honeymoon, upon arrival Alla was so welcoming and outgoing, Alla and her husband Rick make you feel right at home and are so funny. The house has a beautiful large porch to enjoy and inside is filled with very beautiful antiques, we stayed in mama pelts room and the bed is so comfortable. We can't wait to stay at Alla's a second time in the near future.

This was our second visit to Alla's! It's our favorite bed and breakfast! The organic breakfast was out of this world!! Alla and Rick are such fun and interesting people! We had a great time playing with the chickens! The cabana hot tub was so relaxing! We are looking forward to our next visit! Mama Pelts room was so comfy, we had our delicious breakfast and fell asleep until noon! That is just how wonderful it is here!!

We decided to visit Allas B&B for a girls weekend. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Alla gives great attention to every detail. The house is decorated with many period pieces so it is like traveling through time. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The wine was delicious and the company was refreshing. Make sure you get Allas organic breakfast. By far the best breakfast I have ever had. She has all of her beautiful chickens in the back, so you know the eggs are fresh!!

Alla is a true joy to be around! As soon as we pulled up to the bed and breakfast, Alla greeted us on the front porch with a warm hug and made us feel right at home. The tour of the property was very interesting and the rooms were beautiful. Alla has the most interesting stories and had us laughing and smiling the whole time. Her breakfast was delicious and the spa package is a must. We will definitely be back soon!

The atmosphere was very pleasant. I felt like I was at home. Our host Rick and Alla were informative of the historical collections they accumulated over the many years. The selection of breakfast was impressive from a Continental to an organic one. It was nice to sit amount the strangers and become friends. I didn't want to part. I recommend this gorgeous down to earth bed and breakfast to anyone that wants to share a special moment with their loved one.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Alla's. Alla and her husband greeted us at the door and were awesome hosts. They really took care of us. The property is beautiful, its filled with beautiful antiques and history mostly over 100 years old. We enjoyed the tour of the property and we really felt at home. We stayed in the Red Room, which was beautiful and very romantic. We had everything we needed just in case we forgot something. We only stayed one night, but it was the perfect getaway that we needed nestled right in Duncanville. We had the American breakfast which was very delicious and filling. Please visit this wonderful place, you wont be disappointed

Staying at Alla's is like visiting you favorite Aunt's house. She greets you at the door, shows you around the lovely historic home, then its wine and snacks at the kitchen table while you check in. Alla and her husband Rick are fantastic hosts and seems to have a genuine interest in their guests lives. The rooms are comfortable, and the rear garden is quiet and charming. Our dinner was served by candlelight outside, and breakfast was served at the kitchen table, with lots of good coffee and conversation. We highly recommend you order her meals. They are wonderfully flavorful, generously portioned, and always made from scratch. We will definitely be going back the next time I need some time away from my busy life.

After being greeted on the beautiful wrap around porch with a huge open-armed hug from Alla, our hostess, we were wisped inside by Rick, Alla's husband. Rick, an avid antique collector and curator, he gave us the tour of his amazing antique room and explained all about the different gadgets. It was truly remarkable. As someone who grew up in Duncanville, we had no idea that this little slice of peace was nestled in and couldn't wait to see what else was to come. Our room was amazing! Beautiful four poster ornate bed with red satin comforter adorned, amazing antique furniture, and the prettiest wooded writing desk I've ever seen! I especially loved all the "extras" that Alla lays out for her guests just in case they forgot to pack something. She really does think of everything! After our tour of the grounds, we settled in for dinner, and returned back for tea on the patio into the late hours of the night before enjoying our private Jacuzzi time, equipped with a romantic bottle of wine imported from Italy, a photo session, and soothing aromatherapy salts. Waking up to the King breakfast was truly a treat. In the dining room, we sipped coffee from Germany and ate fresh organic fruits, eggs, bacon, organic potatoes, fresh crepes with fresh fruit, and homemade jams and orange juice. We'll go back for sure, and it couldn't be soon enough!!

I surprised my GF with an overnight at Allah's bed and breakfast. It was simply amazing! Allah made us feel right at home is a lovely and gracious host. I have already recommended her B&B to a few friends. The house has interesting antiques throughout and the breakfast she prepared was delicious!! A+ experience.
5 on January 04, 2015
We received a Christmas gift of three nights at Alla's with 3 dinners, 3 breakfasts, and trips to the hot tub/spa. Alla is a wonderful hostess and the B&B is charming. We immediately felt at home, warmly welcomed by Alla. The food is outstanding and creative. The dishes were all European in style and presentation. They were simply delicious and the servings were huge. Although Alla typically cooks "privately" so she can concentrate on preparation, we did spend a bit of time with her in the kitchen. The ingredients were all fresh and prepared carefully. Clearly she takes great pride in her service. The Pelt house is interesting with period antiques throughout and a nice collection of antique music boxes. Also, every light bulb in the house is antique Edison. What a wonderful warm glow they cast throughout. For our first night, we enjoyed our special dinner in the dining room, but after that, we were so comfortable that we asked to be served in the kitchen with everyone sitting around enjoying the lively conversation and warmth of company. At our invitation, her husband, Rick, joined us throughout our visit at mealtime. He is curator for a new antique musical museum that is soon to open. His descriptions and stories were interesting and informative. I'm looking forward to visiting the museum with more than 400 exhibits in the near future. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to joining Alla again. Donna and I highly recommend a visit to Alla's B&B. Room prices all are very reasonable so just pick one. Do be sure to order the dinners. The food is outstanding!

Alla's B&B was a dream! My husband and I felt right at home the moment we walked in and received a warm welcoming embrace from Alla. It was as if we had known her for years the way she loved on us. Her historical home had antiques from around the world! We shared dinner from a nearby Italian restaurant that provided FREE delivery to the B&B. The hot tub was lovely. Our bed very comfortable and breakfast, oh the breakfast was delicious!!! We will definitely be back to our "home away from home."

Our stay at this B&B transported my wife and I back in time. Alla is the simply the BEST and is a genuine lady with class. She ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and served the most delicious breakfast with many entertaining conversations. She is hilarious and loving! We will definitely return and recommend this to anyone who is staying in the area. Thank you Alla !!

We tried Alla's B&B almost 2 years ago and had a fantastic time. The house was clean and filled with things from all different era's (Enjoyed watching the Olympics on an original black and white TV). Alla herself is charming and you can tell she truly loves what she does. But above all, we remember that breakfast. I am a breakfast enthusiast and this was the best meal I have ever had. I have had fresh sourdough in San Francisco, fish tacos in Key West Florida, and shrimp gumbo in Louisiana, and nothing compares to this home made breakfast. Everything she can is grown by her, she gets up at 5am to make it, and the spread is incredible. Everything paired well with everything else, and the jellies were just delicious. The best part, we didn't need to eat for 26hrs straight! And we weren't even bloated like one would expect. Just the shear amount of vitamins and nutrients in the meal held us over until the next breakfast. We can still taste it sometimes. So if you are even thinking about getting the breakfast you NEED to. Great experience all around. Thanks Alla!

My husband and I stayed with Alla for three nights in September. She is quite the hostess- charming, considerate, welcoming & a terrific cook! We loved our delicious breakfasts. Her B&B is filled with lovely antiques, and Alla will give you your own personal tour. Alla's husband, Rick, is a great guy, too. Duncanville is a nice little area right outside of Dallas- a quick and easy drive on the interstate. Alla and Rick recommended a great little Italian restaurant for dinner our first night- it was in walking distance of the B&B. Alla's B&B is a comfortable alternative to impersonal hotel chains.

We booked Alla's for a weekend getaway recently and could not be more pleased with the experience. The lodging is quaint and comfy despite the antiquities!! (which are FABULOUS)… not only do you see them, you experience them as Alla and her husband Rick have lovingly restored the home with functional finds from around the world and throughout the ages…We had a fun time learning some of the stories from our animated hostess and enjoyed interaction with the other guests like a small house party. You will be properly spoiled, be sure to add the organic breakfast filled with delicate crepes, exquisite coffee and homemade jams! Delicious or ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ as they say in the Ukraine!

My husband and I stayed for our anniversary for two nights. Usually we stay at 5 stars hotels but wanted to change things up a bit. We love the significance of the historical presence in the house. The antiques brought back childhood memories and the breakfast was to die for. There's no breakfast like Alla's and we've eaten at the best restaurants in the DFW area for years. Alla certainly made our stay memorable. We will be back for the decedent sit down breakfast we ate at Alla's Bed and Breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at Alla's B&B over 4th of July weekend AND IT WAS AMAZING!! We were instantly greeted in the driveway by Rick and he escorted us into the house. Shortly after Alla came from around the corner and greeted us like we were family or long time distance friends. The antiques that they keep in the house are unreal!! The original Thomas Edison light bulbs that still work great and are over 100 years old! Incredible!! We were then given a tour of the house and offered hor dourves and wine. We seriously could have just stayed there the rest of the night talking to Rick and Alla it was so much fun! They recommended a fabulous little italian resturant to dine at and after we came back we began our spa cabana, which was lovely. European chocolate candies are delish so try and get those if you can!! We got to pick the bottle of wine from a wide collection directly from Alla's cellar! PLUS outside was lawn furniture that was already covered in plastic if your hot tub experience gets to hot. We had robes and slippers awaiting in our room just for this purpose. Divine!! The best was very comfortable, there are air conditioners in each room so YOU control the temperature, and don't worry if you forgot ANYTHING because she has literally EVERYTHING stocked already in the bathrooms!! The european king breakfast was a personal favorite. We LOVED EVERYTHING about this experience!!! And will stay NO WHERE ELSE but Alla's when we visit the Dallas area!!

We had such a wonderful time. Alla made us feel like family immediately upon our arrival. Breakfast each morning was so fantastic that I probably gained 5 pounds! The rooms were so peaceful and beautiful. We purchased the Hot Tub package as well and loved it! We visited the antique stores nearby as well as had fantastic Italian food delivered one night. We would definitely stay there again!

Alla's Historical Bed and Breakfast is truly a wonderful place...the hospitality provided by Alla and Rick was beyond my expectations!!! Upon my arrival, I was greeted as though I was a lifetime friend!!! I was graduating from Dallas Baptist University with my MBA and wanted to stay close to the university when my search for reasonable prices in the vicinicity led me to Alla's!! I could not have asked for more...we celebrated my special day with the other guests and it was simply amazing!!!! I felt like I was so special and have now met new friends for life!!!! Alla is the sweetest woman I have ever met and if you guess where she is from, remember it starts with a "U." Awesome accomodations that surpassed my expectations!!!! Chose this place off the beaten path and you will not be disappointed!!!!!

As soon as you pull into the driveway, Alla and her husband were incredibly sweet, accommodating, and generous. Alla is lovable, strong personality and its part of why staying at Alla's B&B is so special. Me and my S.O. came for Valentine’s day. She made lovely appetizers, wine... the works. The house is a lovely house of rich history and antiques. As soon as you walk in you immediately feel transformed into a different world. And her breakfast! The entire house permeated of a rich, home-cooked breakfast. It was complete with eggs, sausage, fries, crepes, homemade sauces and dips, orange juice, coffee, etc etc. The entire experience was an absolute treat and we will be sure to be back there! Thanks Alla!

My wife and I came hear for our one year wedding anniversary and we felt we made the right choice! We loved the "organic" breakfast that Alla makes from scratch---it was impressive. We also enjoyed looking at the fascinating collection of American antiques throughout the house. Moreover, one of the best parts of the stay was getting to talk to Alla. She is an extremely hospitable and delightful person and and we loved getting to visit with her. I would recommend Alla's Bed and Breakfast!

I searched hard for a suitable place to stay in the Dallas area near American Airlines Center and Six Flags. Hotels/Motels just weren't cutting it. Then I stumbled upon Alla's B&B. WOWOWOWOW! Her rates were no different than hotel chains but her service, personal attention, hospitality, organic breakfast, and complete exuberance were all just what we needed! Alla met us on her porch with hugs and and gleeful warmth! Because of her, we will make more trips to the Dallas area and will never stay anywhere else! She went out of her way to accommodate us and my special birthday surprise trip for my husband! Alla added so very much to an already special weekend! I just can't say enough!

Alla is personable, warm, caring, and completely attuned to guests’ needs. We were welcomed with a gourmet snack tray which started us off with just the right touch. It’s so wonderful to come in, harried and hurried and famished, and be greeted by such gracious hosting. The house is remarkable for its décor and content. It is highly historic, with many antiques to admire (including “modern” antiques: Edison light bulbs and fixtures, and early TVs!). Yet it is also completely up to date with amenities and comfort. The spa is superb! Don’t miss it! What an over-the-top wonderful experience. The breakfast can only be described as amazing. What a feast! Quality and quantity were all one could wish. All ingredients and preparations are at the highest level—and all served with a heart of gold! We were refreshed and renewed beyond every expectation. We hope to return and urge anyone to not miss this fine experience.

My husband and I have stayed in many B&B's over the last 11 years and this one definitely doesn't disappoint. One of the big reasons you choose a B&B over a conventional hotel, is that you crave some authenticity to the experience and not just a sterile environment. This place definitely is authentic! I love the passion this couple brings to...well...everything! You can tell that both absolutely adore what they are doing in life. My favorite parts: the antiques and the breakfast!
5 on October 18, 2013
I cannot say enough about the hospitality and warm enviorment that my wife and I experienced at the BB. To top it all off the breakfast is absolute heaven, all organic and by far the best breakfast I have ever had while staying away from home. I highly recommend this BB and will return often.

My new husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding. It was a little hard to find at night, luckily for the sign she has out front! Alla and her husband were very welcoming, and I adored her chipper personality. The home and decor was beautiful, and the bed veryy comfortable. We were gifted this stay so we only received the american breakfast, but it was good. We lisbon coming back on our anniversary, and we will definitely get the organic bteakfast.

Alla and Rick are the best hosts, and I felt truly welcome and blessed to stay with them. Alla always made sure I had everything I needed, and she made the best breakfast ever (it's worth the $20). I felt like I was home while I was on a long journey across the country. Even now, Alla remembers who I am even though I only stayed a night. It takes an amazing hostess to remember all of her guests. I will not forget her.

We wanted to go to our first Cowboy game, but all the hotels are sold out months in advance. Luckily I found Alla's and made a reservation. After calling Alla and making the reservation I felt she was very personable and friendly. I cannot imagine anyone not liking this place. Alla makes you feel like family. Neat. Clean. Epic decor. Well crafted home. Food was home-cooked and delish. Some hotel prices I saw were 3 times more expensive than Alla's. Alla's was 3 times more homey and welcoming. No regrets staying here, we know where we will stay next time, no doubt.

I was searching and searching for a Bed and Breakfast for a Honeymoon night for my wife and I, when I stumbled upon Alla's B and B. From the moment I called her and spoke with her, I knew I wanted to stay here. She was so informative and welcoming. She offered us European Hors d'oeuvres on a arrival as a gift to us. She conversed with us about all our plans for the day and how happy she was that we were together. The Mama Pelt room was beautifully vintage. The bed was out of this world comfortable! I wanted to take it home with me! In the morning she prepared a European Organic breakfast, and I can tell you now, it was by far the tastiest breakfast I've ever eaten, and you can't this quality anywhere in the country. It was the first stay at a B&B for my boyfriend and I and wasn't for sure what to expect. As soon as we pulled up Alla was standing outside waiting for us and immediately made us feel welcome! She is a genuinely nice person and an amazing cook! The rooms were clean and cozy and the hot tub was romantic and relaxing! We will definitely stay there again!

We had the best time at Alla's. She has wonderful stories and is such a welcoming hostess. The house is amazing with all of the antiques and we had a very comfortable sleep. Alla is the best chef! She made us an organic vegan breakfast and was very good with cooking around my food allergies. We were also welcomed into the B&B with home made snacks and wine. What a wonderful experience!!

I came in town to take a test and I don't like hotels. Alla and Rick made me feel right at home. Alla then fed me well and it carried me through my very physically demanding test. I will be back !

What I first thought when hearing about a B&B in Duncanville was, "There's actually a B&B there?" But this is one place you wouldn't want to miss. Ms. Alla welcomes you into her home with a hug and a glass of wine (what better combination of hospitality is there?), and her husband Rick shows you around their incredibly historical house. Edison bulbs that are over 100 years old and still working well, television sets that are larger than microwaves with screens smaller than an Ipad and actually need time to warm up, and bathroom plumbing that I was a little afraid of using in case I broke the handles, it was all so amazing! Any antique enthusiast will find Alla's house a veritable daydream in which they can stay. Food connoisseurs will also drool over Allas' first class cooking, of which we were lucky enough to enjoy the next morning. I've never tasted a more delicious and (mostly) healthy breakfast. I could have stopped myself from eating that second chocolate crepe. But I didn't. If you are ever spending a night in Duncanville, be sure to stay at Allas'!

Alla makes this B&B go from an already incredible stay, to an unforgettable experience. Not only is the home filled with some of the most interesting furnishings you'll find, but Alla is the sweetest and most gregarious person you will ever meet. She and her husband both were so incredibly welcoming and FUN to be around. We had a blast just sharing time with them as we were checking in and out. She also provided an amazing breakfast for us in the morning, and somehow did it all without making a peep to wake us up until it was time to eat.
5 on May 23, 2013
The atmosphere was very welcoming as we walked in the door. Alla is a phenomenal cook who is hilarious to boot. Rick is extremely knowledgeable about all the antiques in the house and was very interesting to listen to. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be going back.

Our two-night weekend get-away turned out to be a wonderful reminiscent time. The tour through the historic main house was very educational and enjoyable. And our stay in the cottage was perfect. The Red and Gold Rooms were more than adequate, and the living room of the cottage let all four of us "get caught up" with room to spare. Best of all Breakfast was a gastronomical delight. We'll be back!!!!!

My mother, daughter and I enjoyed the most fabulous weekend at Alla's lovely bed & breakfast. We travel together often and have stayed at over 30 establishments in 8 countries within the past year. While I loved most of them, I've never actually taken the time to write a review. This is the exception! Alla is the most gracious hostess and really goes the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome and at home. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do the in Grand Prairie/Arlington area. The accomodations are beautiful and so relaxing. We truly enjoying learning the history of the extraordinary pieces in both homes, and delighted in Alla and Rick's colorful tales of how they came to acquire many of them. If that had been all, it would have been enough....but NO! The icing on the cake was the BREAKFAST!!! I cannot even describe how wonderful it was. Simply the most amazing food I've ever experienced at any B&B. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I hope to visit Alla's again soon. Julia (with Carole & Shelby) from Krum, Texas

My husband and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary at Alla's this year and it was the right decision. We were greeted by hugs from Alla and a lovely tour of her fabulously decorated bed and breakfast. We then moved to the kitchen for complimentary hors d'œuvres (which were DELICIOUS) and wine while we talked and joked with Alla and her husband. We spent most of our night outside in both their lovely back yard and wrap-around porch. The room we stayed in was very grand and we both slept like babies on the comfy mattress. The next morning we woke up to the smell of a hearty, organic breakfast. Once we sat down to breakfast it was all I could do to not lick my plate. It was a very scrumptious and extremely filling breakfast. We made more conversation with Alla and her husband through breakfast and sadly packed up and headed out. Our stay was wonderful and we are so glad to have met this wonderful couple on top of it. Thank you for starting this bed and breakfast Alla! We love your hospitality, humor, and super tasty food.

My husband surprised me for our 16th annivarsary this April. This was our first bed and breakfast in all are years of marraige. Normally, we are so busy with kids and grandkids that the best we can do is a movie and dinner! Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast was so convenient in location, price, and a wonderful getaway. The bed was sooooo comfortable that I did not want to get up, but when the aroma of "organic" breakfast filled the air and the ring of the breakfast belll, we were up in no time. I look forward to another stay at Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast soon!

This was the first time for us to stay at a B & B and Alla made it the best stay every!!! Listening to her stories everyday was priceless!! We ate breakfast every morning and it was wonderful!! The smell of breakfast cooking every morning filled the house...... She made us feel so "at-home and welcome" from the time we arrived to the time we left. Alla and Rick were the best!!! The spa was so romatic & relaxing. The entire house is so beautiful and so intresting to explore. We were so sad when it was time to leave. We are already looking forward to our next trip to visit Alla.

Alla and Rick are two of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. My husband and I stayed at Alla's Guest House for my Birthday. It was beautiful and romantic. We also enjoyed the Spa and Cabana. If you're Looking for a quiet and romantic getaway that's not far from home I recommend Alla's Bed and Breakfast. Alla and Rick Thank you so much for a special weekend. Love Portia & Anthony

My husband and I stayed in the Brown room in the guest house of this inn for my birthday, and we had a wonderful time! If you are not into too much frou-frou, (where it looks like Laura Ashley exploded, lol) then this is for you! Alla and Rick are probably the friendliest hosts we have ever encountered. Alla is like the loud, crazy aunt you can't help but love for her big, colorful, charming personality. Her enthusiasm and nurturing made my birthday a wonderful occasion, and no details were overlooked. Rick's knowledge of the working antiques he specializes in was a fascinating walk through history. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. The bed was so comfortable that even my shift worker husband slept like a rock for 8 hours, which he never does! The food was also plentiful and delicious. We got the American breakfast, but gazing upon the European one the other couple was enjoying made us want to order it next time. All in all, we would definitely recommend this lovely B&B, especially if you are nervous first time guests. You will feel like you're right at home!

My boyfriend and I celebrated our 2 year Anniversary this past weekend at Alla's B&B home. Alla made us feel welcomed and she was very friendly and excited to meet us. The tour of the B&B homes were amazing as there were many interesting uniquel items throughout homes. She was very informative and explained different facts about the part of history that took place in the home. I was very happy for having the opportunity to book our stay at Alla's. I was glad that we were able to enjoy the home to ourselves. The hot tub along with the wine and chocolate treats made the evening very romantic and relaxing. She provided all necessities to accomodate our stay and woke up to a fabulous, homemade, Organic hot breakfast. The potatoes were my favorite along with the fresh fruit and strawberry crepes. During breakfast Alla shared many stories of her personal life and we enjoyed her company so much that we willl definitely be back soon. Thank you Alla for making the stay special and one to remember always. Love, Lupe and Lalo! Take care and see you soon :D

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay with Alla and Rick last October for 2 nights. What a lovely home. Rick gave us a tour of his interesting collection of spectacular antiques. And Alla, what can I say, she treated us like family the minute we arrived. Breakfast was incredible. In the evening Alla provided wonderful treats and wine. We stayed up way in to the night talking with Alla and Rick. It was a great weekend. Thank you, Alla and Rick.

I stayed at Alla's Bed and Breakfast for my 27th B'day my partner and I wanted to do something different than your traditional hotel. Plus I had never been to a Bed and breakfast. A phenomenal Organic B'day breakfast was prepared for me with a song, banner, and signature birthday cup. I couldn't hav felt more special it was a warm welcoming a greeting as if we were Alla own family. I will definitely say that we enjoyed our stay until the last minute. You have to visit Alla's Bed and Breakfast and get the Organic Breakfast with Crepes. The best Crepes ever a must try. P.S. I tried to get crepes from IHOP today and they are no comparison. I'm going to have to pop up one Sunday morning just for an Alla's Organic Breakfast.

Took a weekend working get-away so that I could get some uninterrupted work time for pressing creative business matters. I needed a place that was quiet AND constructive...something a bit like a muse for inspiration. Alla's was the perfect setting for what I needed: vintage, authentic, seclusive, and very cozy. The afternoon greeting was welcoming: wine and hors d'oeuvres, lively conversation with Alla, an introduction to the history of the house, and then an escort to my quarters. The guest house was well decorated, with many authentic touches, and all that I needed for a productive evening-in. Comfortable bed, in-room gas heater (my fav!), wifi, fully stocked kitchen...and Toshio's Japanese restaurant only moments away for carry-out! The next morning, my husband joined us for breakfast, where we all were entertained by Alla's high-spirited anecdotes and delicious, organic servings of real food. It was a great working escape, by all means! Not a bit like work, I must say!

Alla and James are the owners of a unique oasis of which I can only describe as "Love". This Historical Bed and Breakfast was the experience I needed at such a critical time in my life. From the time I made reservations to the moment I saw Alla's in my rearview mirror, I felt nothing but love. Love was everywhere and I hope to return with the rest of my family in the near future.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Alla's Historical Bed and Breakfast. It was a perfect place for our group. The rooms were beautiful and the decorations were very unique. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We left there so full we didn't eat the rest of the day! Highly recommend the European breakfast for anyone staying here. YUM!

Alla and Rick make the B&B a home away from home! The minute you walk thru the door you are taken aback by the warmth of the hosts and the beautifully restored/preserved home. The house is filled with so many interesting antiques that are still working! The cabana is a the perfect way to end the night. Alla's organic European breakfast is soooooo delicious. My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning for more stories from Alla and Rick, but especially for that breakfast :)

Alla's Bed and Breakfast is everything you should expect in a B&B and more! From the moment you enter Alla's B&B you will be welcomed like you are family. You will feel right at home from the start because Alla is such a joyful, inspiring person and a real pleasure to be around. The historical features of her B&B will leave you breathless. There are historical pieces in this B&B that cannot be found anywhere! If history is not your thing thing then how about comfort? The beds, couches and Jacuzzi will have you feeling so relaxed that you will never want to leave. To top everything off, Alla is the best cook!! We highly recommend her European organic breakfast because you will get top notch chef cooking without having to leave the B&B and it is good for you!! There are great stores (our favorite was the antique stores) and restaurants in walking distance, or a very short driving distance, so there is plenty to do! At the end of your stay you will have made friends with the people you have stayed with as well as Alla and her husband Rick. Alla and Rick will do everything they can to make your stay the best possible. Combine that with great cooking, historical significance, convenience, and friends for life and you have the best B&B experience possible!! Do not hesitate to go here! I promise you will not regret it!!

I took my fiancé to Alla's for her birthday. Neither one of us had ever stayed at a bed and breakfast before and i must say, from this experience we will definitely be coming back! Alla and her husband are absolutely charming and very down-to-earth. When we arrived we received a brief tour of the main house which is filled with antique furniture and a rich family history. We were then ushered into the kitchen where we were greeted by Alla. She is so full of life and an authenticity that cannot be feigned. We relaxed with wine and then we went to our room in the guest house. My lady and I danced to old records on the phonograph, sat outside and talked over wine all night. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Breakfast was ready promptly as promised at 9:30am. We both had the European breakfast. Oh those potatoes are still on my mind! It was all so very delicious! Alla is one of those few people God made and placed on this earth to shine into your life and you never forget encountering them! They are running a very beautiful place. If you like B&B's, you'll love Alla's.

Alla is wonderful, entertaining, and an awesome hostess!!! When you walk in the door you feel like you have taken a step back in time. The antiques and the tour are fantastic. Then there is breakfast. OMG!!! The organic breakfast is outstanding. From Alla's special potatoes to Alla's homemade jam you can spread on fresh crepes. The food, conversation, and atmosphere combine to create an experience I will never forget!!! Alla, thank you for making our mother's 60th birthday unforgetable!!!

Alla's B&B was a delightful place for my fiance and me. It was our first B&B experience. Alla was so funny and delightful woman to talk with and she is an excellent cook. Loved her made from scratch breakfast was very welll worth the price and we enjoyed the hot tub there especially on a cold January night. I would highly recommend going and enjoy a relaxing time away from busy city life and step into antique wonderland Alla's B&B...unforgettable. Great romantic get away.

We like being in historic settings. Alla's B&B is well restored, comfortable, interesting, and (dare I say) quaint. Both Alla and Rick are friendly and enjoy welcoming guests. They live in a different building, so you have the space to yourself for your own quiet and privacy. But they also love telling you about the restorations they have performed and the historic nature of the home and its furnishings. The organic breakfast was very good. If we had chosen to gorge ourselves on it, it would have felt more worth the $20 cost. Next time, we'll have the American breakfast instead. But there will be a next time. We quite enjoyed our stay at Alla's.

Alla’s is wonderful! It’s an awesome B&B with great rooms, an excellent atmosphere, and amazingly gracious hosts. Alla is a fantastic innkeeper, and she and Rick were a joy. It was so nice seeing innkeepers who care so much for making the stay a delight and for the house and services provided. Dinner and breakfast were incredible too! We had Belgian beef that was deliciously tender and full of flavor along with made from scratch mashed potatoes that were great and a wonderfully fresh salad for dinner. Definitely eat dinner here when you stay! Our dinner was excellent in every way. The breakfast was equally delightful with a ton of fresh treats. We absolutely recommend staying here for a great B&B experience.

Eleven days before Christmas, a friend and I were warmly received at the historical B&B by holliday lights, indoor Christmas trees and a lovely vibrant hostess. The same wonderful color, flavor, aroma, and presentation, which describes Alla's "made from scratch" organic meals, also describes the ambiance - the whole experience at Alla's B&B. Homemade bruschetta - toast fingers with wine (upon arrival) and a healthy, hardy breakfast (including homemade crepes and 4 different jams) were served with "flair"... Alla greeted us at breakfast, wearing a crisp chef's hat and a delightful bibbed apron, which matched the wall borders in her kitchen (black and white checks)... what panache!! In addition to her jams, Alla makes condiments such as "mayonnaise" - a recipe which she shared with me. Her amazing life in the Ukraine and in America have given her a broad range of knowledge in culinary lifestyles. I encouraged our resourceful hostess to share some of her recipes and her expertise via publishing a book of recipes and/or one on "eating wellness". I am not sure she will... but we'll see! I have read and concurred with many "rave reviews", but I believe that there is "one special ingredient" which sets "Alla's" apart. She puts her "whole heart" in her food preparation, service, and hosting. She has a genuine love and concern for the comfort and wellbeing of her guests . Although I have frequented B&Bs across America and England, I cannot recall the hosts/hostess of those establishments - but I shall never forget this endearing lady called "Alla", and the "home away from home," she provides her guest... and neither will you!! I would be remiss if I did not mention Alla's husband "Rick", who stands supportively beside his wife. He is a talented man who is capable of restoring various antique/vintage items; he is also certified to "officate" if you desire to make "new or renewed marrage vows" - an extra "perk"!

Spent one night at Alla's B&B just before Christmas. It was the perfect getaway. We got the Spa Package and enjoyed it a lot. Very romantic! The place is great and Alla is the best host ever. We loved every minute of our stay there... away from home and at the same time Alla made us feel at home :) And the food, oh my God...it was just delicious! Perfectly prepared all organic breakfast everybody would truely enjoy. And the best part, the stuffed duck - mouth watering and finger licking...enough for at least a few people...well, we finished it all, did not stop until the last juicy piece of it disappeared! Would definitely go again and repeat this great experience! Highly recommend it to everybody who needs a real treat in a great place by the extraordinary Alla!!!

My wife and I both enjoyed our stay at Alla's. The price was reasonable and the historical nature of the B&B was both interesting and endearing. The breakfast is an additional expense, but proved to be reasonable and the cabana ended up being one of the most enjoyable parts of our vacation.

Alla's Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful getaway, whether you are looking for a quiet weekend, a place to stay while you're in town for business, or planning that special romantic retreat. My wife and I simply wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, and to take in life. We found the perfect place, which came with the perfect hosts - Alla and Rick! Not only were the meals delicious, but the hospitality, wine, and conversation with fellow guests was exceptional. When you drop by, do ask Rick to show you his collection of antiques, and enjoy the beautiful furnishings and ambiance at Alla's. So, take your weariness and exchange it for rest, relaxation, laughter and wonderful company. You won't regret it!

Alla is amazing! She is the most hospitable B&B host I've ever met. The price is actually really reasonable - I was surprised when I saw it! When you go, you HAVE to get the breakfast. It is absolutely amazing! Alla makes everything from scratch (all organic, too!). We were there for 2 nights and only ordered breakfast for one morning. When we go back next time, we're definitely getting breakfast every morning!

If you want to get away from the impersonal treatment from a typical chain hotel or motel in the Dallas area, look no farther than Alla's. Our first time to come to Alla's was on Valentine's Day a few years ago. We came back just before Thanksgiving for our anniversary. If you need a place to rekindle a romance, you cannot do better than spend a night in one of Alla's rooms.

Alla's bed and breakfast was perfect for my boyfriend and me. We were celebrating our 2 year anniversary and his birthday (breakfast the next morning we walked in and Alla had a candle lit and started singing happy birthday to my boyfriend; she made him feel very special). I wanted an evening to escape from reality and Alla's home was the place. Alla's antiques, story's, and love made our stay wonderful. If you go you have to get one of the spa packages; very relaxing and private & her organic breakfast. We will definitely be back! Thank you Alla for our wonderful evening from reality :)

First we love Alla! The place is charming and warm. The bed was comfortable which is always a good thing. We had Alla's special breakfast, which was amazing. She is wonderful, makes you feel very welcomed. We were not even 30 minutes into our trip home when we realized how much we already missed her. We are ready to come back to Dallas so we can stay with Alla. She and her B&B made our trip very memorable. Alla's is a better value than a hotel in both money and atmosphere. Thank you!

This was our second visit to Alla's B&B, and this time we stayed in John's room (last time was Mama's). Beautifully furnished with solid antiques, comfortable bed, and Alla provides so many little extras (bottled water, complimentary wine, all the toiletries you could need, nice robes and slippers, etc). When we arrived, Alla of course brought out delicious hors d'ouvres and glasses of wine, and most of the guests sat around the table talking and laughing before bed, like in the old world inns out of the story books. The best parts of this place: Wonderful organic breakfast, and Alla's comfortable-but-hilarious personality (like the Ukrainian Aunt you never had!). Either would bring us back for a third visit, but the combination has won our hearts. We recommend this destination as an experience in charming hospitality!

Staying at Alla's was a truly unique and fun experience. The house is a historic landmark and it's filled with awesome antiques. It was a surreal experience getting to sit and listen to music from the early 1900s on the old victrola. I would suggest leaving some time in your schedule to hear about the house and the antiques from Alla. She is a lovely hostess! Take advantage of the additional amenities--the organic breakfast is fantastic, and some time in the hot tub was just right for a relaxing weekend. I really could not be happier about our stay, and we hope to visit again when we go to Dallas next.

I didn't want another hotel experience when I went to drill weekend with the Army National Guard so I took my chances at a B&B. What luck! I had the most comfortable stay I could have imagined. Alla made my lunches specific to order and added extra goodies that lasted me through the day and then some. When I pulled my sandwich out someone next to me said, "My, that's a big sandwich". If they only knew the flavor surpassed the size! Although I had to cut and paste the name of the dish for dinner to my email in order for Alla to prepare it, it was the most spectacular meal I've had since I can remember. I just wanted to be taken care of but instead I was served a delicious chicken dinner with potatoes and tomatoes that filled my belly with love. I was surprised how much of the dinner I ate after the large lunch, but the flavor would not be refused. I was completely satisfied and easily digested the wonderful meal which enabled me to perform my best the next day during my duties. The food, the company, and the unique historic lodging made me very happy.

My husband and I have the most amazing time. There was never a moment where we felt uncomfortable. Alla and er husband Rick are the best. The room was nice as well as the bathroom. Alla and Rick also made sure we had everything we need and if we did need something they were quick to get it. This was oir first time and we were celeabrating my husband birthday and our 6th anniversity. We cant wait until next to go back. We have made this our traditional anniversity spot. Plus with the different packages you will never get bored it was an extra spice to our relationship. I am also 4 months pregnant and Alla made sure I did nothing to harm the baby, I was even able to get in the hot tube. Oh and another great thing was the organic food. I feel in love with it. Alla is a great cook and she only use organic products. I have feel in love with All and Rick. Thank you so much for the best time.

Beautiful home, beautiful hostess, beautiful furnishings. Food was superb, there were lots of great antiques and the cabana/hot tub was very relaxing. Really appreciated receiving a phone call before we even got to the interstate that my wife had left her gold necklace. We will be back.

Wonderful hosts, great food, beautiful and unusual antiques, comfortable/homey feeling, private. I don't know how you can ask for more. We would definitely go back. - Donna and Richard Perry, Tulsa, Ok

My new bride and I spent our honeymoon at Alla's Historical Bed and Breakfast. We were greeted with kindness and generosity. This bed and breakfast is first class in every sense of the phrase. Our accommodations were way beyond what we expected. The morning organic breakfast was outstanding and kept this man full all day. The history of the house was intriguing. Alla knows how to make us feel like part of the family and like we were home. We are looking forward to a return trip.

Absolutely Fabulous!!! My husband and I contacted Alla a couple of months ago and reserved the Brown room for two nights for our honeymoon. Upon arriving Alla, and her husband, Rick, greeted us with hor d'oeuvres and wine. Alla explained that due to plumbing issues the Brown Room was not available, and that she would upgrade our room to the Pelt room at no additional charge, which was amazing and we preferred the Pelt room instead. The room was great, and there were no other guests the entire time we were there. The entire house was immaculate - I don't think I have stayed at a cleaner, more polished place before. We had an amazing time and enjoyed Alla’s sweet and generous heart. She made an all organic breakfast for us both days, and it was exquisite! Alla’s hospitality is a rarity, and is far and few between. I feel completely blessed that my husband and I were able to have a honeymoon at Alla’s Bed and Breakfast. She put her personal touch on everything. We enjoyed hearing the history behind the building and all of the antiques that Alla and Rick have collected over the years. We are so happy that we will be able to reflect back on this trip and all the antiques we took pictures of for the rest of our lives. We also enjoyed the spa and cabana, and it was the perfect romantic setting! We are looking forward to and planning our next trip to Alla’s!

My wife and I had an amazing time at Allas bed and breakfast. Rick and Alla welcomed us with ooen arms. We came during the week, so we had the house all to ourselves. We loved hearing about the history of the home. We purchased the spa and fruit package, and were blessed with a very romantic evening surrounded by shimmering candles, realaxing music, and a very soothing hot tub the size of Texas. Seriously, the hot tub was amazing! It has stations for each of the muscle groups on your body. It was a total rejuvenation to our bodies after a long day. We retired a very comfortable king sized bed in our room. Waking up to the amazing breakfast, with fresh brewed coffee waiting for us, we knew we were soon to be treated like family. Allah prepares every meal she cooks with love and is certainly from scratch. The art she creates in her kitchen absolutely cannot be found in any of the restaurants around. You will be mezmerized by her culinary skills. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening as guests in her Bed and Breakfast so much that we purchased an enchanting evening for an anniversary gift. I highly recommend Allas B n B over any 5 star hotel as you will be rewarded from the moment you arrive till the moment when you leave. Rick and Alla genuinely whole heartedly care for each and every guest they meet. We read the reviews that several hundred people wrote about their own experience when staying at Allas and have honestly wriiten this as a testament to way we were welcomed and treated. You too will be treated with respect, love and like family during your stay.

My wife and I are avid visitors to Bed and Breakfasts when and wherever we travel, so it comes as no surprise that we looked to stay at one during a recent visit to the Dallas area. We found Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast, Spa & Cabana on BedandBreakfast.com and were immediately intrigued. The pictures of antique filled rooms, bubbling spa, and scrumptious breakfast were complemented by five years of consistent five star reviews; we must stay here! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Alla is the consummate host whose passion to satisfy her guests radiates from every pore. She truly loves what she does and it shows in every detail. We stayed in the John C. Pelt room of the Pelt House. Alla and her husband Rick tastefully decorated the home in museum quality antiques as advertised on her website, www.allasbandb.com. We were treated to wine and appetizers upon our arrival as well as a historical tour of the home and its artifacts. Guess the origin of her beautiful accent and you just might win a prize. I got close, but sadly failed after three attempts. The real prize was our accommodations. The room was regal and the antique canopy bed was the crowning jewel and after our long trip, we truly slept like royalty. Breakfast was simply amazing. We were served crepes topped with fresh fruit, Alla’s home potatoes, eggs, bacon, an entire platter of fresh fruit, coffee poured from an antique server, fresh orange juice and plenty of everything for second helpings. Anyone opting out of Alla’s breakfast would be doing themselves a great disservice. In conclusion, the room was lavish, the service was spectacular, the home was spotless, the food was amazing and the value was unbelievable. My wife and I have decided never to visit the Dallas area without staying at Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast and have already begun to plan our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Alla's. Most comfortable, warm hostess, good food. Would suggest there be a list posted of things to do in the area.
Dear Michele, Thank you so much for staying with us at our beloved bed & breakfast. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and do hope you will be back. You are no longer a stranger and we just adore our repeating guest, because now you become like family! The only one that enjoys my breakfast the most is my husband Rick! ( he is a stomach slave :))))! I do wish to point out that on my website, www.allasbandb.com and others, we do list and post many ideas of things to do while staying with us. Please review. Of course when you are here, you can always ask for suggestions about what to do as we are only happy to answer all questions and point you in the right direction. Looking forward to serving you again. All the best, Alla

The historical marker outside this unassuming house in a quiet residential neighborhood gives a clue to what's inside. The house at 415 Hustead Street is packed full of fascinating antique artifacts, from a refrigerator to a gramophone to a vacuum cleaner to TVs to light-bulbs. Alla has very thoughtfully provided everything you might need during your stay (robes, slippers, toothpaste, Q-tips, etc., etc.) so you won't need to pack anything except a change of clothes. The pièce de résistance , however, is the organic breakfast, which is so good it defies description. You certainly won't need lunch after eating one of Alla's fabulous breakfasts. Highly recommended.

We spent 3 nights at Alla's B&B. The breakfast was amazing, as promised we didn't need anything else to eat until dinner time. We opted for one night with a spa package - very enjoyable. Everything about our time here was memorable and we look forward to coming back.

My girlfriend and decided to get away and have a mini vacation and we came upon Alla's B&B. I was very impressed with the venue. Nothing like staying in a historic home with everything still working. Alla was incredibly friendly and very entertaining. We all felt like friends before we left. It was very relaxing, especially the spa package with fresh fruit and chocolate. But what really hit me was the food. The organic breakfast was amazing! everything was hand made and delicious. There was so much food and variety that both my girlfriend and I did not eat for over 24 hours! We just didn't have to. Incredible experience and would recommend to all my friends.

My husband and I were "wowed" with the warm hospitality provided by Alla and Rick during our recent stay to attend our 50th high school reunion. The breakfast food provided by Alla was outstanding! Phillip, who is the grandson of John C. Pelt, shared with Alla his memories of family members and activities at his grandparents' home during his early years. Alla and Rick have done an amazing job in restoring the old homeplace, enabling the Pelt family history to endure for years to come. Thank you, Alla and Rick, we will come again! - Phillip and Doris Pelt

My wife and I shared our two year Anniversary at Alla's and got to share life stories over dinner with her and her family. The second best part about breakfast were the seconds. All in all we will always remember the peaceful, yet insightful stay at Alla's wanderful establishment.

My wife and I and lots of extended family took over the entire guest house and two rooms in the Historic House for our stay in Duncanville. We were there for our niece's wedding. Alla and her husband, Rick, were excellent hosts. They made us feel at home and made sure that we were comfortable. I highly recommend Alla's B & B to anyone needing a Dallas "home base" or a comfortable "getaway!"
5 on July 21, 2012
we were highly impressed with every experience we had at Allas. We wish our whole family was there and that we had more days to spend at such luxious B& B. We hope to make it there again soon. Next time we will take the time to enjoy the Spa and Cabana.

Alla's B&B and Guest House became out-of-town headquarters for more than a dozen members of the bride's extended family. Two rooms in the historic house and the entire guest house were filled with grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren during the week before the Saturday, July 14th wedding of Abigail Nelson and Tyler Tabor. Alla & Rick were magnificent hosts. They saw that our every need was taken care with special care--from the delicious welcoming treats, wine, soft drinks, candy, and ice cream! The newly remodeling "family room" at the guest house was perfect for my daughter and her three children, and even me, after my great nephew and his wife and 2-year old daughter arrived. I don't know how many times we commented on how lovely it was to be in a beautiful house, with its yard, spa, and ample kitchen. thank you, Alla and Rick. You were marvelous! We stayed at Alla's as a surprise for my wife's 40th and had a wonderful time. She is into all things with history and little did we know that's everything at Alla's B&B! I also learned something in the process - she is a music box junky and did we ever hit the jackpot on that. I would recommend Alla's B&B to anyone - go and have a great time!

I have never been to a hotel or B&B that offers such exceptional overall service as Alla's. The organic breakfast was lush, and all of the rooms were uniquely, historically furnished while each had its own story! The spa (bathtub) experience was fantastic with a super romantic atmosphere. This B&B ticks and exceeds all the boxes and I would recommend it to anyone!

My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Great place to get away from it all!

My husband and I decided to try a B&B for the first time to celebrate our two year anniversary. What a great experience! I have a feeling that we will find other B&B's lacking after such a wonderful stay at Alla's B&B. She greeted us with hugs and gave us a tour of the historical house. We felt right at home. We were served a late evening snack and stayed up talking with Alla. We woke up to a wonderful, organic breakfast! It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary.

On of the best bed and breakfast I have had the pleasure to experience. From the amazing breakfast in the morning with adventure stories told to the comfort you get when you sleep. Alla is one of a kind makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. She leaves you with knowing that you came into her life as a stranger and left her as a friend. Will definitely be back for another stay.

Alla’s B&B definitely gave my boyfiend and me an “at home feel”. It’s an excellent value for the price. She provided a really great home cooked breakfast using fresh ingredients. She’s very accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the entire place was neat and clean, very well cared for, and tastefully decorated. All of the provisions were thoughtful right down to the robes and slippers. Alla is so helpful and friendly, the kind of person you immediately feel as though you’ve known forever, almost like family!

I would definitely encourage anyone to stay at Alla's for a lovely little escape!

My four sisters and I decided to meet "somewhere in Dallas" for a rare reunion. Located Alla's on AirBnB. The website photos intrigued me with the photos of antique furnished rooms, the spa cabana and it's location to Dallas attractions. Alla greeted us with open arms (literally) and proceeded to make us feel welcome and special guests. We stayed at the guest house and Alla returned each morning to prepare our breakfast which we had hungrily anticipated from the lovely photos and we were not disappointed - it was delicious! The cheese filled crepes were delightful, the potatoes filling and delicious and the imported German coffee, superb! We were too stuffed to eat the fruit plate, so Alla wrapped it up and kept it in the refrigerator until the afternoon when we returned from our outing - it really hit the spot! Our only disappointment for the weekend was that we did not get to see the main house with its unique antiques due to it already being booked by guests who worked at night and slept all day. All in all, we had a charming, private retreat to enjoy as we laughed (loudly and uncontrollably at times) and reminisced with our sisters! Would recommend to anyone seeking a quiet retreat with delicious food and an engaging host!

"The Best Ever B&B" Alla's Bed n Breakfast is simply the BEST I have ever stayed in. From the time I made the call for my questions, about the bed n breakfast, I felt so comfortable with Alla. Once I arrived, it was even better than I expected !!! Alla and Rick are in this business because its in their hearts, and that shows in the bed n breakfast. The food here is unbelievable.....Fresh, organic, homemade everything and made with Love!!!!

My wife and I stayed at Alla's B&B on 4/29/12 for our 10 year anniversary and we could not have picked a better place. We were greeted with a big hug and some wine from one of the friendliest hosts in Texas. Alla's beautiful personality allowed for great conversations and added a wonderful European flare to the whole setting. The bedrooms had all the amenities you hope for in a B&B; A king-size bed, pressed sheets and pillow cases, a personal bathroom and shower, a television, and lots of space. Breakfast the next morning was mouthwatering, completely filling, and made from scratch with love by our beautiful chef Alla. Everything at the B&B exceeded our expectations, but the most pleasing thing was that when we were with Alla, we didn't just feel like guests. We felt like part of the Family. If you find yourself close to Duncanville, you HAVE to stay with Alla!

My new husband and I stayed at Alla's for our honeymoon. We loved being two of Alla's "babies". She really took care of all the little details, food and wine right when we arrived, robes and slippers in our room - which by the way was breath taking. We bought the spa package and enjoyed the deck/hot tub for an hour which was paradise - and Alla even provided more wine. The breakfast was by far the best breakfast I've ever had. Everything tasted so delicious, and we were full until 5pm! Alla really thought of every detail and was only a phone call away if we needed anything else. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We had such a wonderful time. Alla and Rick are very hospitable and sweet people who were willing to take care of any needs that we had. We enjoyed the unique rooms and their furnishings, and loved the outdoor area with the hot tub. If you stay, you should really consider getting the organic breakfast. It truly is wonderful and will fill you up until dinner! We loved our stay and will come back if we are back in the area.

Alla is an absolutely charming hostess! A long time friend and I met in the Dallas area for visiting and R&R. Alla greeted us warmly at our arrival and passionately shared the history of her B&B. We found our rooms comfortable and well appointed. Alla gladly answered our questions about places to visit and eat in the surrounding community. She graciously tailored guest amenities to support our particular interests and preferences. Morning breakfast conversations with Alla and her husband, Rick, were great! (I think their engagement story is the best I've ever heard!) You'll chuckle over their fun sense of humor long after your stay. And the FOOD! Truly amazing in taste and portion sizes! Alla is an incredible cook! She loves what she does and it shows--I can hardly wait to return with my husband!

I was only back from Afghanistan for 2 days when my wife surprised me with a B&B reservation here. At first all i wanted to do was relax and enjoy my time being home but we ended up going and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was very nice. I loved all of it and the Italian food down the street made it even better.

What can I saw about Alla's Bed & Breakfast. I've never been so far from home & felt as such ease. I travel two weeks out of every month and I usually do not enjoy my trips to Dallas because it's so revolved around work. I had such a relaxing time while at Alla's that it has made me look forward to coming back! I can't wait.

My fiance and I stayed at Alla's just for one night, quick weekend getaway. We stay at alot of B&B's and the value and everything else here is exceptional! From Alla's personal greeting in the driveway, to our departure on Sunday, she went out of her way to make us feel at home and comfortable! The house is beautiful and she even told us stories about the previous owners and furniture! The food- amazing appetizers & breakfast in the morning were also exceptional! We will go back and highly recommend Alla's!

My husband and I enjoy B&B's for the uniqueness, the companionship, and the out-of-the-ordinary breakfast. Alla gets 5 stars for all 3. You won't find a better place for conversation, a comfortable and cozy room, or a scrumptious breakfast: I never knew that eggs could taste so good! The fresh fruit, crepes, and the indescribably delicious potatoes were worth every penny. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

My sister had her 13th birthday here and was nice enough to take me along. We had the time of our lives in the spa and just hanging out. We also had lots of fun dancing to the record player and eating delicious ice-cream. Not only was the service amazing but we also got to hear a bunch of great stories from Alla and eat her amazing food. The decorations were amazing and we all loved the 100 year old lightbulbs! I couldn't imagine a better birthday than this! All of Alla's "babies" will defenitely be back!
5 on March 08, 2012
To begin, the historic ambiance of Alla's B&B is unparalleled... From the late 19th Century phonographs providing that forgotten feeling of "big band" on a vinyl recording (which is second only to the scrumptious ear candy of "big band" live), to the 100+ year old light bulbs that illuminate the entire house year round. Alla's B&B truly is a remarkable gem! Secondly, some may argue most importantly, the new friends we found in the host and hostess. Rick met my wife and me at the door, welcomed us in, and began the tour of this remarkable home. Only a few moments passed before Alla joined the three of us. That's when the fun really began. Her charismatic personality totally contrasts Rick's laid back mentality. The contrast is so beautiful that one could almost consider it choreographed. Their love for each other resonates throughout the house, which no doubt set the stage for what could be considered the most romantic evening my wife and I have ever shared. We are happy to call these two our friends! Finally... breakfast. The titillating aroma that fills this humble historic landmark during the morning hours is trumped first by the aesthetically enticing spread prepared by Alla, and once again that moment when the first morsel hits your palate. All of these elements combine celestially in concert with the beauty and comfort of the guest rooms, the tranquility instigated via the Jacuzzi-Hot Tub, and - my personal favorite - the splendor of sharing these amenities with my lovely bride. Thank you Rick and Alla!!

My wife and I had a good time learning all about the house. It is jam packed full of history, so all history buffs will definitely enjoy playing with the old TV's, Radios, fridge, phones, etc. We did not have time to eat breakfast, however Alla was gracious enough to provide us with some fruit, wine, and ice cream. She also prepared a delicious snack for when we arrived. It was simple yet fantastic! I could have ate 10 more of those little guys. If her breakfast is anything like that, then you are in for a real treat.

I have never stayed in a B&B before so this was an entirely new experience for me. I thought it was awesome and Alla makes it like you are visiting your family rather than going to stay at a hotel or something. The food was delicious and the spa was so relaxing. The only weird thing is that it's somewhat communal. You eat with other couples, they stay in other rooms of the house, etc. but don't let that deter you. It's an experience that you'll surely love.

My boyfriend and I went here as he surprised me for my 30th birthday. Of course, we fell in love with stories of the house and stared at all of the old gadgets. The thing that holds it apart from everywhere else is the gratitude and service from Rick and Alla. They are splendid and make you feel as if you are visiting home. Alla is a wonderful cook and host! Late one night when we had our meals already there was a new couple we came to greet. She quickly got out some plain ole potato chips and waffle cookies for us so we would not feel left out! We cannot wait to return. The beds are so soft, the environment is so inviting and the hosts are stellar.

I travel all over America for work & stay in B &Bs & Inns often; Alla's is by far the best experience I've ever had. If you are into natural, homemade cooking, then THE FOOD is the highlight. From her homemade mulberry jam (straight from her mulberry tree) to her homemade yogurt, grown from imported Bulgarian cultures, there's no end to the culinary surprises. Every morning we were served sumptuous crepes with homemade sweet cheese, huge, juicy pieces of ham or bacon; the potatoes were prepared differently every day -- pancakes, croquettes, diced with vegetables and spices. I requested a small side of oatmeal & to my delight, Alla made the best oatmeal I'd ever tasted -- slow cooking, steel cut on "non-pasturized" milk with her magic jams. The next day she treated me with her special "millet" imported from Ukraine & the last day was 2.5 hours, slow cooked rice pudding with different nuts and spices I cannot remember as I thought I'd died & gone to heaven. Advice: book a dinner with Alla, but give her a minimum of 1.5 days in advance as she goes to the market & buys everything fresh and takes HOURS to cook the meat. YUMMMMMMM.... The antique wonderland is just the background setting for the best home cooking in Texas!

We stayed at Alla's for New Year's Eve and had the best time!! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and relaxed. Alla told us the history of the house and showed us her and Rick's lovely, unique antiques. We especially loved the beautiful music box in the dining room. We sat in the kitchen after a tour of the house and had a delicious homemade snack and a glass of wine as we visited with these charming innkeepers. We loved our room, enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub while sipping wine and eating chocolates, and relished the ambiance of the inviting living area. We were greeted the next morning with the most delicious, organic homemade breakfast! Alla made the most fantastic crepes, potatoes, and eggs all from scratch. The coffee was imported from Europe and served in an antique coffee warmer. A beautiful platter of fruit and homemade jams were in the center of the table. The meal was truly an Epicurean delight! Alla and Rick are delightful and engaging hosts. We definitely plan to return to this exceptional bed and breakfast!!

Stayed at Alla's for my wife's birthday. Alla and Rick were very welcoming. It was our best B&B stay so far. I wish we lived next them. After one stay it felt like we were friends. The place has great antiques from the plumbing fixtures to the tv's to the beautiful beds. Okay, now I'll get down to the food. We were served wonderful horsdouvres(spelling?) upon a late evening arrival. I wish I could make bread, cheese, and tomatoes taste half that good. Then, there was the breakfast served at our desired late morning hour. As the web site says, the European breakfast was all organic. I can't comment on the large plate of perfectly presented fresh looking fruit because there just wasn't room in my big belly for it after plate fulls of potatoes, crepes, and bacon. I had to try each of the home made jams after sampling the first on a crepe. The fantastic potatoes made me think I was indulging myself with excess salt. Later, our discussion led Alla to say that her fresh mix of herbs(perfect by the way) makes it unnecessary to use much salt. I hope we get back to Texas and can eat dinner one night

I chose Alla's Historical Bed & Breakfast as a surprise birthday gift for my husband after reading the many fantastic reviews. We love old homes and antiques, so we very much enjoyed Alla's tour and demonstrations of the many antique items and fixtures in this charming home. Our room was comfortable and cozy. It was a special treat to have the entire house to ourselves to explore, and we would definitely recommend reserving the home when schedules allow. Alla has a fantastic personality- we enjoyed visiting with her so much! She spoiled us and made us feel that we had made a new friend, and her cooking. . . WOW! We had the organic deluxe breakfast for my husband's birthday morning- we both think it was the most delicious breakfast we had ever eaten! The cost was very reasonable and we are already recommending Alla's to family and friends. We will definitely stay again and most likely order dinner there also on our next stay.

We were on a one-week visit to Dallas and decided we wanted to try something different for part of our visit. Although we ended up missing our first night (the day before Thanksgiving, we got caught in traffic and didn't make it there), we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Alla's. I can most definitely say that I have never been received at the door with a huge hug at any hotel I have been in but Alla not only did that but made us feel like we deserved one. We were made to feel welcome, the house itself was amazing and the breakfast wonderful!!! Alla's enthusiasm is so wonderful--we both felt that we were long lost friends who had finally come home!!!!

Nice house, beautiful antiques, friendly hosts. That's the good, we wanted to get in and relax, we did not plan on an hour long introduction and long, long list of rules and instructions on everything! We are also dissapointed in the fact that we had to pay extra for breakfast, I thought this was a B&B? We also had to pay to use the hot tub, each time we wanted to use it! Both in the evening when we arrived, then in the morning we went to use it again and found a padlock on it. So it's not the great deal it appears! We are in our mid 50's, just wanted a place to relax and enjoy a hot tub, too much stress at this one, we won't be going back. Ciao.
We are sorry that there were some things during your stay that made your experience less than your expectations and that you felt like you could not relax back in November. We told you personally on the phone that use of the hot tub in our private cabana was an additional charge (of which I gave you a discount of $10.00 that day)for an hour, which is generous. Even in the morning you both used it a second time without paying and apparently you were not satisfied. Also, you felt like that breakfast should be included in the room price as well. You were also told on the phone before you had even made the same day reservation that the three sizes and types of breakfasts were extra and had to be chosen. We offer great value with a chance for all guests to customize their stay with the lowest rates in the entire area. I also know that on the evening of your scheduled arrival, and after ordering all ingredients for your breakfast, you attempted to cancel your reservation. Only after being told that you would forfeit the full room price for same day cancellation as arrival, did you decide to go ahead and come on. I realize that even this put us on a bad footing, but our cancellation policy is also clearly stated on our website as well. The food was bought exclusively for your enjoyment. You were told all of our policies and rules before you decided to book your room. I don’t know what else we could have done to be pleasing.

My wife Sarah wanted to get away for our wedding anniversary. I thought a four star hotel, but she was set on a bed and breakfast. I have never been to one, but I trusted her judgement...and she chose Alla's. At first I thought "How can this be better than some of the high end hotels in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?" But when I got there I understood. Alla greets you with a warm smile and a hug that shows she is happy that you, not your money, is there. She shows you the historic house and antiques she collected as she paints such a rich texture of detail that takes you back to a lost place in time. Then she shows you smiles, more smiles than I have ever seen, of happy and satisfied patrons in photo albums that reassures Sarah's decision was correct. After ensuring you are relaxed about your stay and eager to enjoy your stay, she lets you set into your own world for the night. Offering her spa/cabana gave my wife and I a chance to fall in love all over again as we relaxed before setting in to such comfort I have never seen outside of my own personal bed. The next morning, Alla was there cooking food that left Sarah and I wanting more. After eating our fill, we enjoyed the laughter and friendship that was so easily built with our hostess. I once stayed at a hotel in Charlotte, NC for six weeks due to a child's medical needs while I was in the Marine Corps. It took three weeks for me to achieve a sense of familiarity and feeling of comfort I received within the first few minutes of walking into Alla's. If you are ever going to the Dallas/Fort Worth area you would regret not staying at Alla's Bed and Breakfast, at least for one night. And if you don't believe me, I would be happy to meet you at her place for breakfast to discuss it. Her organic cooking is reason enough alone to stay!!

Step back into time at this B&B with her magic time machine. Like unto a living museum, her home speaks volumes about history and some of her antiques have volume too. How remarkable it was to touch and witness a home filled with appliances and furnishings to help you understand how things used to be. Beyond this experience, Alla's true gift to warm hearts shines forth as she serves her organic food in her cozy kitchen. She knows how to welcome everyone and help them feel like long, lost family.

Staying at Alla's is not just a nice weekend get-away, it's an experience. The organic breakfast she serves is amazing, but don't write off her dinner. I have been twice and have had a different dish each time and they were both perfection. And her house, it's like a museum. I LOVE antiques and seeing all of the antiques really do take you back to a different time; even the lightbulbs in the fixtures are circa Eddison. While the food and the atmosphere is reason enough for you to go to Alla's, Alla herself is one of the top reasons for coming back. She loves her clients and she remembers them too, my husband and I were amazed to find out that she remembered us even after we hadn't seen her for a year and that was the first time we met! You really do walk in a stranger and depart as a friend.

We were in town for an event and were tired of staying in hotels so we tried Alla's Bed and Breakfast. We were greeted with such warmth and were able to check in confortably with ease. Alla's enthusiasm for life was really genuine and enthusiastic. Great location and felt like royalty there.

We stayed at this B&B after we were married on October 22nd. We arrived later that night and were welcomed outside with open arms. Alla and Rick were the greatest hosts. We were invited in and given drinks and hors d'oeuvres along with great conversation. You'll never meet two friendlier people than Alla and Rick. The bed was very comfortable. The house is a very old house and most everything in it is from the time period of the house. It is beautiful and we enjoyed very much staying here. The breakfast was fantastic and again, the conversation was the best. We cannot wait to come back here next year on our anniversary, if not before then. We already miss Alla and Rick.

I will be going back again very soon.

I decided to take some time to myself.. it was the only answer to a very busy week and more to come as I prepared to attend a conference in Irving Tx. I found Alla's Bed and Breakfast online.. i knew it would be perfect. I called to request a room for the following day. Rick was so helpful and assured me I would enjoy the peace and comfort of a lovely home. It was perfect! Alla welcomed me, prepared a wonderful itallian appetizer.. and a wonderful tour. Since I was traveling alone she made sure I felt comfortable and we had a wonderful visit! Oh and how i loved the basket of pecans ready to shell and eat on the lovely porch. And the amazing breakfast!.. This and more reminded me of my grandmothers house. My mission was to have time to myself, read, explore the lovely antiuqe mall and relax before I traveled on to the busy conference. This was the gift of time I was giving to myself! Mission was definatley accomplished! Thank you Alla and Rick for the gift of sharing your home and your generous spirit!

I decided to visit my first bed and breakfast a few weekends ago just to get away and have a weekend by myself away from friends and college work. I found Alla online and was blown away by the photos of her breakfast food and the fact that her food is organic. I decided to call her, and she was very pleasant over the phone. When I arrived she was extremely nice and open. She showed me around the place and showed me to my room; she also had a snack for me and much wine. The place was great: cute and genuine. And Alla was great. We talked all night and we ended up becoming friends. Alla's bed and breakfast is the whole experience! The next morning I had her organic breakfast for the first time and it was incredible. I know I will be back to visit Alla and have great conversations again, and have more of her amazing organic breakfast. I also loved the rooms which are so adorable and inviting. Thanks Alla, and I will see you soon!

Alla's B7B is off the beaten path and is a wonderful place to go visit. My wife and I went for our wedding night but I would love to go back just to spend the evening when we reurn to the DFW area. Alla is a wonderful person and we will never forget the evening we spent there! She truly made it a very special night.

My husband and I love staying at Alla's Bed and Breakfast!! The service is wonderful...especially the huge breakfast she makes in the morning! Alla's B&B is such a relaxing and romantic place to stay. We live in the area but stay here just to get away from everything for a night. The hot tub, huge bed, wonderful breakfast, and lively Alla make us never want to leave! Highly recommended!!

Being at Alla's Bed & Breakfast is more like being with friends than staying in an ordinary B&B. Alla is very attentive to her guests every need. Even without asking for something she see's that you need it and gets it for you. Eating at Alla's is a one of a kind experience. Her cooking is superb! I have never had breakfast as good. Everything is organic and scratch made, even her yogurt. My mouth is watering now even as I write this. There is no way to describe the food you will eat here. You just have to taste it yourself. Alla will also make dinner for you. We are repeat guests to Alla's and every time we are treated to some amazing dish, from pasta to steak and everything in between... it is all wonderful!

I stay in B&Bs at least twice a month. I usually shoot for two things, the food and the experience. Alla and her husband do a great job at making you feel right at home! They are fun and carrying people; really, what more could you ask for? The breakfast was AWESOME! I'd recommend Alla's Historical B&B to anyone.

Highly recommend! Alla creates such a warm, relaxed, and welcome atmosphere that you don't want to ever leave. One good thing about when to leaving is knowing you have gained a friendship with Alla! Sweet sweet lady. She made us feel like we were thousands of miles away from the stress and cares of life and in some other country and we were only 45 miles away! Are room was fantastic ( the brown room)! Breakfast was out of this world! We WILL definitely be back many times and will recommend Alla's to everyone. A+++++ for above and beyond great service.

My husband and I came here for our 1st anniversary and we really enjoyed ourselves! Alla was very hospitable and is an AMAZING cook!!!! We were blown away by her european organic breakfast, it was possibly the best breakfast I've ever eaten. Some of the other B&B's we had looked at were a lot more expensive but we got a great deal here. Even though you have to pay extra for the breakfast, the total cost was still far below what the other places were asking. Alla offers value without scrimping in other areas.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this BnB and as always she goes above and beyond are expectations. She is the most friendly person you could meet and the food is out of this world it is all organic and it is great. She makes you feel like you are family and you get to the point where you look forward to seeing her and sleeping at her BnB. If you are going to be in the Dallas area I would highly recomended staying here.

Alla is very friendly and makes sure your stay is pleasant. The best thing about our stay was the food. We had supper and breakfast there. I loved how all the fruit was fresh and organic! It was really good, and we were so full from breakfast that we didn't eat until supper! She also has some really cool antiques that still work.

We have stayed in several B&B's across the country and this one hold's it's own. The furniture was nearly all antique, house was quaint and the breakfast was fantastic! The location was great, close to shopping and food, but still had a secluded feel. The wine and hors d'oeuvre upon arrival are a great touch. I would definitely go there again, I have no complaints.

From the time I called to set up reservations to the very moment I pulled out of the driveway to head back to my apartment, there wasn't one second where I didn't feel like I was home. This was absolutely the most wonderful bed and breakfast experience of my life. I didn't want to leave, it truly pained my heart to walk away! Rick and Alla made us feel so warm and welcome. The atmosphere is cozy - I forgot I was only 30 minutes from my place, it honestly felt like I had stopped at an inn along the European countryside! The food was out of this world good. I just can't wait to go back. Worth every penny and so much more!

It will fill your HEART.....a memory that will last a lifetime!

If you want a romantic vacation or just want to spoil yourself, Alas is the place to go. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anybody.

We stayed in a lovely room furnished with antique furniture. Even the light bulbs were over a century old and still functioning. Alla, the owner, was very hospitable and made sure that all our needs were met. The best part of this visit was her cooking. She made the best breakfast I have ever had! I would be willing to pay the price for the food alone. Even her dinners are fantastic! All in all, a wonderful, romantic experience.

When you first pull into the drive way you behold a humble little house that seems a bit average. However you leave feeling like you've been allowed to be part of something extremely unique and special! Alla's B&B is a quaint and charming historic house on a quite little street in the suburbs of Dallas. We were welcomed with open arms and felt Alla and her husband Rick were genuinely excited to have us in their home. After a tour, complete with a description of the history of the home and the fully functioning period furnishings, we were treated to a beverage, snack and an opportunity to enjoy a chat with our hosts. The home has 100+ year old light bulbs that still work! Our first morning we opted for the organic European breakfast and were pleasantly overwhelmed with the bounty of delicious food and flavors! We were surprised to find that our healthy hearty breakfast lasted the entire day! Our second morning we opted for the American breakfast and had yet another delicious feast! Each morning we had the privillege of having our hosts all to ourselves since we were the only guests mid-week. They are the most delightful couple who obviously love each other, love their business and most of all love their guests! We felt so welcomed and spoiled that we did not want to leave! So without reservation we highly recommend you take the opportunity become part of the history and heritage that makes Alla's bed and breakfast so uniqely wonderful!

What a fabulous little treasure my sister found for us!! This B & B is so quaint and adorable with gorgeous antiques, each with their own story to tell! We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and had the place to ourselves the entire weekend. The room was clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was clean and stocked with more than enough essentials and toiletries for our use. Breakfast was exceptionally delicious with perfectly cooked organic scrambled eggs, a lovely waffle with strawberries and bananas, and the best coffee ever!! But most of all, I appreciated the warm, welcoming, pleasant, kind, generous, and hospitable nature of our hosts, Alla and her husband Rick. We couldnt have had a more pleasant experience!!

Dear Rick & Alla: Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. My boyfriend surpised me for my birthday a night's stay at Alla's B & B. From the moment I walked into Alla's B & B, I knew without a shadow of a doubt we were going to be treated like royalty. We were given a tour of the home & welcomed with tastey hor'dorves & a glass of wine. My boyfriend and I stayed in Mama Pelt's room, which was amazing & filled antique fixtures. We then were served a nice candlelit dinner in our room with the most amazing delicious food. If I remember correctly we cleaned our plates. We enjoyed the spa for a nice relaxing evening. The next day we experinced the wonderul european organic breakfast. I'm not a scrambled egg eater but I sure was at Alla's. Oh yes, I can't forget about the yummy potatoes & crepes. She really out does herself. The icing on the cake is Alla's personality. She is very warm & builds relationships with her guest. She makes you feel like family. I will definitely be going back there soon!

My husband and I spent two nights here in May. Upon check-in, we were greeted by our hosts Alla and Rick, and were served a light appetizer with a glass of wine. After check-in, we were given a tour of the historical bed and breakfast and the nearby spa and cabana house where we stayed. That evening we experienced a delicious and organic meal prepared by Alla. Soft candlelight and beautiful music highlighted our meal. (The vitamin salad is a must as well as the roasted potatoes). Later that same evening, we played a record on the gramophone. Note: Alla also keeps the frig stocked with goodies for guests to enjoy. We stayed in the brown room and were very comfortable. We did not order the organic breakfast, but instead selected the mini breakfast (the coffee and organic homemade yogurt is delicious). If you are traveling near Dallas, or want to spend a romantic weekend this is the place!

My husband and I take turns every year planning a small getaway for our anniversary. This year it was his turn, and after lots of research, he chose Alla's B&B. Alla greeted us with a big hug, then took us on a tour of her historic home. From the wood floors to the 85 year old light bulbs in the antique light fixtures, we were delighted with everything this B&B had to offer. Not only is it a historical home filled with beautiful antiques, the food that Alla prepares is the most delicious you will ever find. She creates everything from scratch, right down to the jams she makes from the fruit trees in her back yard. We have recommended Alla's to everyone we know, and we will definitely be back! My husband won MAJOR brownie points for choosing this place, and I only hope I can find a place that comes close to this next year when it is my turn to plan our anniversary getaway!

Alla is an amazing host and cook. I love older homes and this was just a very nice, clean pleasant place to stay. Don't know why I would want to stay at a hotel room if I'm around Dallas. It's a very one on one experience. Alla takes great care of you and her breakfast is the best. With that said we also had plenty of privacy. We stayed in the Pelt room. Will definitely go back and must try the hot tub next time. Alla is in the job she was born to do.

My husband and i had the pleasure of celebrating our 11th year anniverary in Alla's Historical B&B. From the time we drove onto the property, the experience was wonderful. We were greeted with warm smiles and hugs. It was beyond what we expected. She made us feel as if we were family and not strangers in her home.Alla was outgoing and loving. From the time we was the until we left, there was never a dull moment. She left a lasting impression on us forever. I truly will cherish this visit with her forever. Words cant expain our experience. We cant wait until to see her again. As we were leaving she said "i want say good bye , but ill say until next time my babies". That really touched my heart and will stay with me forever. Even after our visit, she supprised us by emailing pictures and put together a amazing slideshow. It dont get any better than that. THIS LADY AND HER B&B WAS AMAZING, PERFECT, OUTSTANDING, BEAUTIFUL, EVERLASTING

Me and my husband stayed at Alla's B&B for our 3rd anniversary and it was unforgettable. She is the sweetest, funniest, and down to earth person you will ever meet. The area was quiet and relaxing. The had the luxury of staying in the red room and it was gorgeous. The entire home was more than we ever expected. The breakfast was breath taking and finger licking good. We will definetly return soon and refer this B&B to all our friends!

There is no one quite like Alla! She kept us laughing with her stories and comments. The meals she provided for us were beyond wonderful, and I would drive back to Texas just to have another one. Thanks, Alla!

My husband and I were very happy to find a nice weekend getaway. It was very quiet and our hostess, despite having hurt her foot very badly, welcomed us like her own children. We were very well cared for and enjoyed her delicious breakfast as much as her delicious tales. It is clear that Alla loves her job and her guests. Staying at Alla's is one decision you don't have to worry about ever regretting. Wonderful, beautiful furniture with a wonderful, beautiful hostess with the mostest.

You really cant find a place like Alla's, she has spent so much time and effort into this beautiful place. Im possitive you wont be happy at any other B&B or even a hotel for that matter! Alla is such a wonderful person, ill be back for sure just to see her and also to stay at a place where I know ill be taken care of and dont have to worry about a thing! Shes got it all covered. You will truely will be missing out if you dont go visit Alla!

I was taken here on a special Valentine's Day surprise and it was wonderful. Alla and Rick are not just inn keepers they are a huge part of this experience and why this B&B is so fantastic. When we first arrived we received a tour of all the antiques in the house dating back over 100 yrs! The house is so homey and the room we stayed in was divine. We were given robes and slippers as well! We had dinner plans so we left and came back and the amazing Alla was there when we returned to set us up on our spa adventure. The Jacuzzi Cabana is gorgeous. We slept like babies..and had a truly outstanding breakfast. We as a couple have traveled quite extensively and I can say the experience you get here matches if not tops some of the top hotels. The best part is Alla and Rick, this wonderful couple reminds you that love is the most important thing in life and they really love their guests. We are already planning our trip back! And one more note: I had an early flight out the next morning and Ms. Alla sent me on my way with some of her home made organic crepes..they were equally delicious on the plane ride home. Thank you again Alla and Rick! Love, Angelica and Mike Missing you already!

I researched a B&B to stay at for weeks! I wanted a nice getaway for my boyfriend and I. I came across Alla's B&B and it seemed the most comfortable and the pictures looked awesome! I was apprehensive staying at a random's person's house, however I was willing to try new things. As soon as I walked in the door, Alla and her husband Rick were there to greet us with open arms... LITERALLY! My boyfriend is a history buff, so all of the history and old old atiques were incredible in this house! We stayed in the brown room in a seperate house around the corner. We had the house all to ourselves! We paid xtr for the 1 hour hottub and trust me when I say, IT WAS WORTH IT!! The dinner was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The breakfast was I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E. Alla's skill in the kitchen exceeded any restaurant food I have EVER tasted. All food was organic...which normally I really wouldnt care... but my god, was that good stuff! If you are looking for a place to get away and be catered on by the most beautiful, loving people in the state of Texas, check this place out! You wont regret it!

I emailed, very last minute, to inquire about availability. I received a prompt, and very warm, response. From the start, my husband and I were made to feel welcome and at home. The room we had was beautiful, the food was absolutely amazing, and the fellowship was wonderful. The home is filled with fascinating antiques, and Rick and Alla were gracious enough to give us a complete grand tour. I would stay here over & over again, given the opportunity. Thanks, Alla & Rick. It's an absolutely gorgeous historical house brimming with old fashioned appeal. Beautifully furnished with antique furniture and fully working appliances, it's a great place to get away from everything. The food was outstanding and all-organic and Alla is incredibly friendly and attentive to anything you need. Couldn't have been happier with my stay.

I was looking to do a spur of the moment "romantic getaway". I called Alla and she made it happen with just one phone call. I truly enjoyed my time with Alla and Rick. From the first moment I walked in to Alla's Bed and Breakfast, I felt very welcomed. She allowed for me to decorate the room with roses and candy before I brought my love. She was very understanding when I was late coming back. When I arrived, she made us desert which was the best I have had in a long time. You could not get any better at a 5 star resort. Afterwards she allowed us to have our privacy, which was great. The all organic breakfast was delicious which is an understatement. I would highly recommend her establishment to anyone. If, you are looking for a unique place to stay, that does not have a stark commercial atmosphere, and has a personal touch, Alla's is for you! Thanks Alla and Rick for memorable stay!

I wanted to surprise my Girlfriend for the weekend and take her somewhere nice. I saw the website and figured that it would be fun to check out a bed and breakfast. I never expected it to be so amazing! From the moment we got there Alla and her husband welcomed us and we knew it was going to be an incredible time. The food was absolutley amazing! When we woke up in the morning it wasnt like a hotel, where you order something for room service, or you have to get dressed and go to the restraunt. We woke up in the morning hopped into our pajamas and walked on over to the kitchen just like we were at home. The spread was nothing short of amazing. There were natural jams, crepes, the best potatoes, yogurt. Me and my girlfriend are both very particular on what we eat and our portions. With the food that Alla had made herself from scratch there was no way I wanted to leave that table. Me and my sister used to make crepes when I was a child, If we made them half as well as Alla had I wouldnt be able to ever fit through any normal sized doorway. The yogurts with the jam was better than anything I've gotten from any store. I had never had potatoes like she had made, there were different types of potatoes put together in an incredible... I dont know how to describe it other than you must try it. I could go on forever about the food because again it was incredible, it really showed how hard she worked on it through both the appearance and taste. I could write for hours on end about how incredible our experience was at Alla's and still not be able to do her justice. Alla and her husband Rick are wonderful people and have the most amazing bed and breakfast. I would recommend Alla's to everyone I know and to those who like having a wonderful experience of any type in the Dallas area. Thank you Alla for the best weekend me and Angelica have ever had.

We had a wonderful experience with Alla and Rick. The food, was out of this world. Any "Foodie" out there should make this a stop, Alla's culinary skills are amazing. The rooms were beautiful, clean and very original. I truly enjoyed our experience at All's.

Rick and Alla really do Bed & Breakfast right. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it was a treat to stop for a momentand stay at Alla's. From the very first moment I felt nothing but welcome from someone I never met. Alla is such a wonderful host, her larger than life personality, smile and hospitality made us Completely at home. It is no surprise she has won two awards "THE BEST" and many friends! The tour, the working antiques, the bedding, towels and supplies are all well done details that add up to an excellent experience. Alla and Rick made the atmosphere unique and authenic and that was a rare treat. Thank you for preserving a piece of history and loving it enough to share it.Thank you so much for being a great hostess and friend. We will be back guaranteed! Love you and God Bless!

I will start by saying WOW! From the moment we walked in the door, it was simply amazing. The B&B is an electronic antique museum. You get wine and food when you arrive! From the breakfast (the organic food is 5 stars!!!) to the spa to the romantic dinner for two, I have never had such a wonderful getaway! You cannot find a better B&B chef than Alla anywhere! The beds are spacious and comfortable! Alla & Rick were so warm and inviting, it was like visiting a family from Belgium. I will be back, guaranteed! Maybe even every anniversary here after. We love you guys!

Alla's B&B was absolutely wonderful! Me and my husband stayed there for two nights for our honeymoon. The bedrooms were prestine and the breakfast was amazing. The first morning we ate the American breakfast which was absoutely wonderful, and the other couple whom we ate with had the organic international breakfast. My husband got so excited looking at it that he requested it for the next morning. It was delicious! We also had an hour in the hot tub, which was wonderfully romantic, and a bottle of wine. Alla and her husband, Rick, are absolutely wonderful people and not only do we plan to come visit again, but have intentions to send my husband's parents to them for Mother's Day. Thank you Alla and Rick. We love you.

I'm so surprised by some recent comments about Alla's. I've been there a number of times & have always found it very lovely, cozy & welcoming. Many B&Bs are in neighborhood locations--which I don't mind at all! And some have prices of $200-$250 per night! But after breakfast, you're looking for the nearest McDonald's! Not at Alla's! The food is unique & very delicious--& lovingly prepared. You'll never leave this place hungry! It's like stepping back in time to a more carefree, less stressful time in our lives. The area is very quiet, yet close to Downtown Dallas, antique malls & grocery stores. The surroundings just contribute to the 'back in time' ambiance--& is such a quaint & unique oasis--in a sea of cookie-cutter hotels & motels. Thank you, Alla, for 1 more unforgettable stay. Love you!

Staying at Alla's B&B was an unforgettable experience, full of so many wonderful moments... from the minute I walked in with Alla's sincere 'make yourself feel completely at home' friendliness, to discovering the beauty and incredible history of the house and its furnishings, and enjoying the comfort of my room and amenities. I had selected to stay here because of the price and location, but was treated to so much more! This is a truly unique and special place. My only regret was that I wasn't able to indulge in more of Alla's wonderful cooking. Her concern and desire for providing only the best in food makes her all that more of an exceptional hostess!

We really enjoyed our stay and it was certainly a unique experience, but there are a few things you should know in advance. I hate to say anything that sounds negative, it's just that there are some unusual aspects of Alla's that I wish I'd known. If you're the kind of person who really wants to hermit away, this is not the place for you. Plan to get the full tour on arrival. Alla will make friends with you despite your antisocial tendencies and make you feel like you're staying at a friend's house. The house has no view or curb appeal to speak of - we were expecting something like an old hotel nestled between antique shops. It's just an ordinary house on a regular residential street overlooking the tracks. There isn't even a sign now, just a historical marker. Alla and Rick don't live in the house, so you can't just show up and ask for a room. The inside is a different story. Loveley furniture and interesting antiques, mostly from the earliest days of electricity. The food is great, though waaay too much. We needed naps after breakfast. You won't be disappointed.
I thought it would be appropriate to expound on some key items that we feel our many returning guest already know and that our future guest would like to know. First, we are so proud of our historical property (the only one in Duncanville) as a nearly 85 year old home museum. After our brief historical presentation, we always like to go over the amenities of the home, such as showing where the sleepers are kept, robes, private restrooms, coffee makers, extra towels, drinks, dishes and silverware, and the spa and cabana area. After check in, we leave. The Texas historical marker appears in the front yard with no other sign indicating that the property is even a B & B. What guest would want to be disturbed with strangers that are only curious about seeing the property? We make sure this never happens. Our guests love that. We don’t accept “drop ins” under any circumstances. Finely, we may not be next to a coast line or have a mountain range view, but our near one acre backyard that is covered with beautiful trees, gives a great relaxing atmosphere for those wanting to enjoy the spa and redwood cabana, BBQ, whether a simple get-a-way, or a romantic honeymoon evening. Our guests enjoy being within walking distance of some of Duncanville’s finest restaurants, stores, and other shops, while our antique mall is less than a 3 minute drive away.

Had a wonderful experience. That is what it is...an experience, Great food, clean and comfortable rooms, as well as superb personal attention. Alla is such a vibrant and happy hostess. Rick is very nice as well and very knowledgeable of the home's antiques, especially the electrical items. Alla's cooking and attention to taste is just fabulous. We would visit over an evening drink (or 2) every night that I was there. Very entertaining. I am happy to say that I made 2 new friends on this visit and plan to return very soon. Thank you Alla & Rick. I will always have you in my thoughts. God Bless!

Where do I begin.....This was a night to remember for Darren and I. Darren has never been to a bed and breakfast before and was a little hesitant once we drove to our destination, once Alla came out to meet us when we pulled up I knew everything was going to be great. Her warm welcome made us feel comfortable right away and felt at home. We loved the house and all of it's character. I loved the warm feeling and the food was AMAZING!!! The hot tub was just the icing on the cake. It was so romantic and relaxing and private! we had so much fun the time just flew by. Next time we would like to stay a couple of nights. We look forward to coming back again and would recommend Alla's bed and breakfast to everyone I know. Thank you Alla and Rick for your hospitality and for making our little romantic get away so memorable and something to look forward to again and again and again.....Love, Holly and Darren

Two weeks ago we visited Dallas TX. We we looking for a nice and quiet place to stay. After searching online we found Alla's historical B&B. We loved the place location and interior and of course the ORGANIC breakfast! We are big fans of organic food, and it is very hard to find a place like this. When we saw Alla's dishes online we could not wait to try them all! It looked so delicious and creative. We made reservations right away. After a long flight we arrived to Duncanville. Alla was already waiting for us with delicious food and beverages! She Welcomed us with a big hug and smile. It felt like home. Alla's hospitality is Amazing. She is generous, kind and so friendly. She makes her guests feel really Welcome. We loved and really enjoyed our stay there. Alla's historical B&B is really historical. We saw so many interesting things, we danced and listened to a really old records. We loved the Russian Gramophones. The place was extraordinary clean, neat and comfortable. Every morning Alla met us with a big smile and delicious breakfast! Every day was a variety of wonderful homemade organic food. We also ordered dinner every night. It felt like we are somewhere in Europe having a great dinners. We will recommend this place to all my friends, and we will definitely visit Alla's B&B again. Thank you Dear Alla for everything you do, and your Amazing hospitality. Davis family Boston, MA

Let’s begin with the perfect and most memorable welcoming that I have ever received. Alla was so delightful and she brought a lot of love to the atmosphere as soon as we walked through the door. The bedroom was impeccable and the candle light dinner was so romantic. Soft music with dinner was perfect and it brought sweet melodies to my ear. To call what Alla prepared for dinner a meal, would be an understatement, it was more like a feast. The dinner was amazing and I could not have asked for a better feast to go along with such a perfect night. The spa and cabana really hit the spot. The wine and chocolate combined with a top of the line spa experience left us feeling very relaxed and speechless. The European breakfast was brilliant and put us over the edge with amazement. I miss her home cooked breakfast already!! And the most important aspect of the whole Bed and Breakfast experience was that Alla went out of her way to help me bring to life a very romantic proposal to my beautiful fiancé. Thank you so much for helping me create a Life Changing Experience that I will never forget!!!

I lead a very busy life. I needed to get away just for the weekend. I drove up and Alla was there to greet me and give me a hug!! She showed me all her interesting antiques. Her husband has the most beautiful music boxes! I really wanted just peace and quiet but those two had me intrigued all night. I travel all over the world and I never stay at hotels. I have NEVER had an Inn Keeper like Alla. Never. She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Her food is the best food I have ever had. Ever. She told me she makes it from scratch!!! Not only is her food great but it's beautiful like it belongs in a picture!!! Her Accent is so lovely and she is so happy all the time. I could and maybe did talk to her for hours and hours. All the rooms have a story and are beautiful. I was VERY impressed and happy with my stay. I got my taste of Europe at Alla's B &B. I will DEFINATELY be visiting Alla's again. Especially for a taste of her magnificant cuisine.
Dear Olga, It was an unforgettable Thanksgiving in our bed and breakfast so far having you as our guest! Your wonderful stories of the B & B’s you stayed at all over Europe and other parts of the world simply mesmerized us during our dinner together! (Thank God there were only 350 photos as we might not have left even by 11:00 P.M!) You must return sometime and tell us more! We love you.

They are very hospitable and I enjoyed every minute. Definitely hope to come back sometime - I would stay again for business, or even better, I would bring my wife for a vacation!

You arrive to a beautiful friendly face, piping hot hors d'oeuvres, and a glass of wine that reads .."Come as a stranger, leave as a friend", and thats couldn't be more true. The house is so cozy it feels like a home away from home. Alla is truly a nurturing woman, and it shows in her hospitality. You will never want for ANYTHING when you come here. You are truly pampered in every sense of the word. Not to mention her out of this world breakfast that is worth the drive itself, which is 5 hours away for me. It is literally the reason we come to Dallas, and will make this a destination AT LEAST once a year from here on out... You cant ask for a better second home. Thank you Alla for all you do! PLEASE dont change a thing!

Our stay was November 18, 2010. After being a guest at Alla's B/B a couple of times, our children decided to surprise us with a visit there for our 40th wedding anniversary! Before we could get out of the car, Alla was greeting us with her warm smile and charming personality!! Her B/B is, in a word, awesome!! Her knowledge of the property and Pelt family was very interesting! The antique furniture is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen, so loved and taken care of! The home is absolutely spotless! With Alla as hostess, we were in need of nothing! Had we forgotten shampoo, etc., she has it handy! The food is unbelievable. We had an organic breakfast, fit for a king! Completely organic and homemade. I had a birthday earlier in the week, and to my surprise, Alla had one candle on the crepe when we sat down for breakfast! What fun and so thoughtful. The food shown on the website is exactly what it looks like when one sits down to eat!!! As for Alla....she is a charm and it is quite obvious that she loves what she does! She loves people and wants her guests to be comfortable and taken care of! We came to Alla's B/B, total strangers and before we left, we were friends!!! Overall, our visit was more than expected and we do hope to visit her again!!

Our daughter and her husband had stayed twice at Alla's, and told us we had to go there. We went, and I am ever so glad that we did. First of all, the historical house is amazing, and the furnishings are exceptional. Anyone who loves antiques needs to see this house and hear Alla's stories about how they acquired the pieces. Secondly, Alla served us an absolutely fabulous breakfast. Eggs, bacon, crepes with fruit topping, a delicious potato mixture, sliced fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and homemade jams(the mulberry jam is to die for!) and all of it organic to boot! However, the real jewel of the place is Alla herself. She is such a warm and gracious host, and made us feel "at home" immediately. She is a wonderful "people person" who makes her guests feel special and appreciated. After finding out that my wife had just had a birthday, Alla greeted her at breakfast with a candle on her crepes and singing "happy birthday" to her. Thank you, Alla, for a great experience, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Having never been to a bed and breakfast before, I wanted to treat my love to something special, so I researched locations around the Dallas area, and Alla's kept coming up among the best. So, I decided to give it a fair shot. Nothing could have prepared for how wonderful the experience would be. Alla, is a wonderful hostess with an endless amount of knowledge about seemingly everything. We could have just sat and listened to her talk about her life experiences for hours. She does a phenomenal job of balancing old-world European sensibilities with historical American charm. And her cooking... divine. A bed a breakfast is so much fun when shared with a loved one, but I would seriously come alone just to eat! The fact that this woman isn't a world-famous chef is one of the seven wonders of the world. When it was time to go to our room, the accommodations couldn't have been more inviting. All of our needs were taken care of beforehand, and if we (somehow) needed anything else, Alla was just a phone call away. I was particularly impressed with her flexibility in letting us upgrade to a different room that had become available if we wanted to at no additional charge. This bed and breakfast is really all about service and making the customer feel at home, and we really felt like we've made a new friend in Alla.

My wfe and I decided to turn what would otherwise have been a boring business trip into a romantic getaway highlighted with a truly to-die-for european organic breakfast. The chef and hostess is Alla Wikins, a tour de force in the kitchen, a delight in conversation. Alla hails from the Ukraine and makes everything she cooks with the freshest, organic produce. No preservatives or corn syrup allowed in Alla's kitchen! When I saw pictures of her breakfasts on their website they looked too good be true - especially the quiche and fruit assortment highlighted with pomegranate..the quiche was out-of-this-world goodness - and she wisely opted to make it sans crust to make room for the delicious potato medley. From the delicious high anti-oxidant German coffee (higher than green tea) to the homemade yoghurt and jams, everything else was more than just right, it was absolutely perfect! The setting for this is Duncanville, southwest of Dallas in an historic home built by John C. Pelt. On a walk through the rolling curvy streets I ran into an oldtimer who could remember when the Pelt home was one of the only houses in the area and the only brick house in all Duncanville. Each room is an antique lover's delight and a getaway seeker's paradise. You will literally be transported to a time when things were made with pride and patience and made to last a lifetime. Lightbulbs in the house were made by the Edison company over 100 years ago - and still work! The old refrigerator is as much a work of art as it is a mechanical marvel. The dial inside goes to 12 but it must be kept on the lowest setting of "1" or everything will be frozen. In fact, if Global Warming ever comes, the Dallas area solution might be to turn that knob in Duncanville to 12! We had a marvelous time at the old Pelt home with the Wilkins and can't wait to get back.

I was welcomed w/ a full tour of the historical, antique ladden B&B. Everything was in working condition. The place was so emaculate; not a speck of dust anywhere. Alla is such a marvelous host. I traveled alone and she assured me that everything would be fine and I trusted her, she even offered to stay with me until I fell asleep; if I was afraid, but her word of assurance eased my troubles. The bed was very comfy and I actually felt right at home. This was one time away from home where I didn't miss my own bed. (smile) Everything needed to make my stay comfortable was there. This made my first stay at a B&B very relaxing. I look forward to many more stays at B&Bs when I travel. Thanks Alla for your EXCELLENT hospitality and it shows that you enjoy what you do and it's not just a business but it's from the heart.

Alla and her husband, Rick, are really super. From the moment that I walked in at 10pm, I felt very welcome. She is a real dynamo and a super cook. I will always remember sitting around the kitchen table with two other guests and her husband Rick listening to him explain about light bulbs - when each filament type was created, the history, everything. He made an ordinary device so interesting. I am sure that whoever stays with Alla and Rick will enjoy the experience. I did. Mike Rogers

I was looking for a last minute getaway, we live in the Dallas area, and when I found Alla's B and B it looked too good to be true, but she was so nice over the phone, I decided to try it...we enjoyed the antique ambiance and friendliess of our hosts and it was hard to get away to explore the nearby Cedar Ridge Nature Preserve, but we did go there twice for some hiking--awesome---and after we saw the spa decided we must try it, better than any spa I have ever been in! We enjoyed the organic European breakfast and talking more about travel adventures, family, etc...I would love to go back, especially at Christmas time, it must be wonderful! Hope to return before long!

I set up a weekend get a way for my wife. I arranged everything ahead of time for the surprise. I ask Alla for several request, and she was very helpful. The tour of the house was amazing and very informative. When we arrived to the room where we were staying there was flowers and candles waiting. In the morning the organic breakfast was AMAZING. The homemade crapes, potatoes, yogurt and jellies were all great. The food was wonderful. My wife and I enjoyed time in the spa as well. There was fresh fruit and chocolate in the room when we finished in the spa. The stay at Alla's was one of the best places we have been.

This July 2010, I had to travel to San Diego for Business with a pit stop at our facility in the Dallas area. As I had spent already two Months at Alla's B&B two years earlier it was obvious for me to stay at Alla's B&B again. A phone call from Belgium to Alla's and reservation was booked. On July 7th, It was like coming back home. Belgian beer and food were awaiting for me!! Alla hadn't forgotten about my favorits! We had a great evening watching the fireworks , with a great Belgian beer digging up good memories on my previuos stay. Next morning up to Dallas Central Market in order to by more ingredients for my Belgian favorit meals! Can you imagine? Haven't seen another place were one takes the time and put in such amount of efforts in order for the guests to feel at home. Alla, Rick, thank you very much for the very warm welcome home. Definitely will be back.

My husband suprised me with a night at Alla's b&b. Wow! Everything was so perfect! The house is beautiful and full of some very neat antiques. Alla and Rick where very hospitable. They were so welcoming to me and my husband during our stay. Alla strived very hard to make this stay as special as possible. She came and set up the spa for us before we arrived from our dinner out. The room was so comfortable and decorated very nicely for me and my husband. The breakfast, the organic breakfast, was unmatched to anything we had ever had. I had an opportunity to try things that I have never tried before. My husband and I loved the food! Alla is an amazing cook that strives to make this breakfast special for the people who are enjoying it. We very much enjoyed the company of Rick and Alla during breakfast. The entire stay, every part, was outstanding! Thanks Alla and Rick!

First of all, thank you Rick for giving me the correct directions to your place, if I had just gone with mapquest, I'd have never made it. You saved me that night. I stayed for only one night, but it was all I needed to know I would be back for more. From the decorations to the exhuberant, delicious breakfast, and most of all, Alla and Rick's remarkable hospitality. It is about 30 minutes from downtown, but all worth it. I have traveled to Europe, Latin America and within the States and nothing compares to what I found at Alla's B&B. When I said good bye, I knew it was not going to be for long. I am planning to go back and enjoy every minute of it all over again!!! Thank you Alla and Rick. Your new friend from Utah! Gladis

We were treated just like family with Rick and Alla. They are wonderful people who truly care about you, and Alla is the BEST cook ever! We stayed in a three bedroom house all to ourselves that was clean and very comfortable. The best part was breakfast though. I want to cook like her someday; I learned a lot from her. She was so sweet and treated my kids like her own. Made us feel really special!

Alla's Historical B&B is perhaps the most unique place I've ever stayed! The combination of the remarkable antiques, the fine European breakfast, Rick's kindness, and Alla's colorful, outgoing personality, made this a truly unforgettable experience. The antiques, while mostly not original to the house, are quite interesting--including beautiful furniture, radios and TV's, a fascinating refrigerator/freezer, vintage bathroom fixtures, and light bulbs that are more than 100 years old, all still functioning! Upon arrival, Alla was eager to give a tour through the house, telling stories about its construction, as well as information about the antiques, including the exact age of many of them! Staying there truly felt much like what it must have been like to live in the early 20th century! My family and I stayed there two nights, and we all agreed that we wanted Alla's signature organic European breakfast both mornings. It was truly tasty and nutritious! Both mornings, Alla provided a beautiful array of fruit and preserves, and the hot part of the breakfast each morning consisted of seasoned scrambled eggs, bacon, a seasoned potato medley, and crepes topped with a delicious fruit topping. Orange juice, milk, and coffee (both regular and decaf) were also provided. Alla and Rick also have no shortage of conversation during the meal! The sleeping experience was pleasant; the beds were comfortable to all of us, and oscillating fans are even provided. The rooms are equipped with modern TVs and DVD players, and there are a few DVDs provided out in the hallway. In addition, Alla conveniently provides WiFi access. (A few modernities to make the stay all the more comfortable!) Also, to anyone who is very hot-natured like we are, don't worry--the A/C is quite effective after it's been on for awhile, even if you want it to be 65 degrees at night! All-in-all, our stay was quite an interesting, enjoyable experience!

Alla's place is amazing! The decorations unbelievable and Alla's company unique and unforgettable. Loved it, will definitely go back there! When you stay at Alla's place, you are no stranger, she makes you feel like family. Thank you Alla, you are the type of friend all of us need on a daily basis! May the Lord always bless you and your family. Gladis Higginbotham

I surprised my husband with a one day/night get-a-way and WOW! From the second we arrived and were greeted by Rick and Alla I knew that we were in for an amazing day/night! I LOVED hearing about the history in the house, and getting a tour from Alla. Rick was to funny trying to correct any little thing she said wrong, they were such a funny couple! We enjoyed having the appetizers/wine with them, after we were done we retreated to our room for a pre-dinner nap. Alla rang a bell to let us know dinner was ready, but the bell was NOT needed, the aroma from our dinner had already woken us up! We walked into the dining room to the smell of our amazing dinner, and amazing music playing. Our dinner was so good, meat fell apart, potatoes WOW, and a salad I could eat every day. And then the real treat, organic ice cream topped with All-made jam YUMM! Next we were off to the spa and cabana! It was so relaxing and peaceful. So romantic my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. We slept so great in the HUGE comfy bed! And again we woke up to the smell of breakfast, which I will mention was at 10am so that we could sleep in and I LOVED that! The breakfast, oh the breakfast, no words to say how good it was, you will literally have to go and try it! We are already planning our next trip back! Alla and Rick are amazing warm people. It was far different from the other bed and breakfast we have visited where it was "here is your key enjoy your stay", they made SURE we enjoyed every minute, and we truely did! Thanks again Alla and Rick! xoxo--Ashley and James (your babies)!

I took my fiancee to Alla and Rick's B&B to celebrate his birthday and our recent engagement. Neither one of us had ever been to a Bed and Breakfast and we decided to try this place. It looked quite and had a fantastic website. I emailed them for reservations and Alla called me very soon after to make the reservations. You could tell over the phone how much she loved what she did and that in itself made us excited to go. I emailed her several times to ask questions about things and she always got back to me that day. Once we finally got there, from the minute we got out of our car, we loved it. Alla greeted us like we were family. She took us on the tour of the house going into great detail at all the historical antiques. She was available whenever we needed her throughout our 2 night stay. She cooked us an incredible breakfast the 2 mornings we were there and we were able to spend a very romantic evening in the spa. I cannot put into words how incredible this bed and breakfast is. We started out as strangers and we left there as friends. We will be going back as soon as we can. Our experience was so great, we dont want to visit other bed and breakfast places because we cannot imagine an experience better than the one we had with Alla and Rick!!!

The location may not seem conventional but don't be fooled, inside the house is full of wonderful historical items representing scientific discovery and evolution in things such as original toasting machines and 100 year old lightbulbs, that still work! Also, spring for the full breakfast. It's worth the cost and you won't have to buy lunch anyway! If ever back in Dallas we would stay here in a heartbeat. -Alicia and Ben, Washington DC

Alla and Rick offer Texas hospitality with Ukrainian flare amidst antiques and music boxes, not to mention Edison lightbulbs. A far cry from a Motel 6 for sure. Interesting synchronicity was finding a magazine in my room devoted to things British. How could they have known I wish to relocate permanently to the UK? Guess that's Alla, the psychic from the Ukraine! Lovely couple. Lovely room. Lovely.

I came to Alla's looking for healing and restoration after the loss of my pregnancy. I found it in so many more ways than I could have imagined! I had expected a weekend of nothing but my bible and running, but instead I found God not only in those two things, but in the friendship, conversation and amazing breakfasts I recieved from Alla and Rick. I have never met 2 people more thrilled to be doing their work or more in tune with what their customers need. I never once, from the time I pulled into the driveway, until the time I said my happy "see you next time!" felt like anything less than family. Alla and Rick exude such an amazing warmth and love that it seems silly to talk about the amenities, but I must say that the house, the room, the grounds and the food, (OH! the food!!) were absolutely to live for! The rates are better than a hotel, and you get so much more for your money. I will be going back for seconds and thirds, bringing my husband along and telling everyone who will listen about this wonderful place. I've traveled many places, but Alla's is-hands down-the best I've stayed. I'm so glad I found her on B&B.com!

This B&B was incredible and a truly memorable experience. I particularly enjoyed the tour given at the beginning which highlighted the historical significance of the house. Alla's cooking was simply outstanding. I would absolutely go back to this B&B!

We enjoyed our stay immensely at Alla's Bed and Breakfast. Not being a "typical" B&B'er I wasn't sure what to expect. Alla and her husband were more than accommodating. We received a thorough history lesson surrounding the house and the historical pieces inside of it deepening our appreciation for the historical significance of the property. The cooking was simply divine as well; well done Alla! I would most definitely visit again and plan to do so next time I am in the area and looking for a bed and breakfast.

My husband and I went to Alla's to celebrate our birthdays and to enjoy some romantic time alone since we have 5 children. The house is amazing and filled with timeless treasures that took us back in time where life was much simpler. We availed ourselves of every specialty that Alla's had to offer, including the romance and spa packages and it was worth every penny! We fell in love all over again! Alla and Rick's hospitality, attention to detail and fantastic cooking will lure us back time and time again!

I felt as if I was right at home and Alla was my long lost friend. The house is beautiful and It was the best experience I have ever had, and I have been to several hotels, but NOTHING will beat the personal, friendly, kind and warming experience I had at Alla's Bed & Breakfast!!!!

I decided to take my girlfriend for a much needed getaway and chose this B&B. I too thought am I in the right place ? But upon our arrival we were greeted in the driveway by Alla, and taken back into a time once forgotten. The experience was one that we will never forget and the hospitality was the best ! The dining was the best you could ever desire. Once you come here you will want to make a return visit as I will in the near future.

My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs in several states in the US. When I made this reservation, we had NO idea how wonderful our two night stay would be! We are not "into" antiques but this B&B was amazing in that Alla demonstrated many of the antiques that are still in working condition such as light bulbs OVER 100 years old! The history of the house is very intersting as well. Our room was very comfortable, very clean. No one else was staying in the house when we were there so we had the entire house to ourselves. We were shown the security system to use when leaving. On arrival, the kitchen aroma was calling us and we enjoyed wine and orderves. The next morning, we were treated to an organic European breakfast that was more delicious than ANY breakfast I have ever had. (It took Alla 1 1/2 hr to prepare) It kept us fueled until supper! My questions regarding the breakfast preparation led to many more questions and, in the end, Alla told me how to prepare my own yogurt and cottage cheese and many more healthy shopping/cooking tips. Alla's passion for hosting is obvious in everything she does for her guests. We were celebrating birthdays so she had a special treat for us as well. When we returned home, we received an e-mail from Alla and three photos she took of us while we were there. When I made this reservation, I was looking for a place to "get away" from routine, jobs, responsibilities for a couple of days to celebrate our birthdays, etc. What I found was a true treasure....Alla. A rare find these days!

When you first drive up to Alla's B&B, you may wonder (as we did) if you are in the right place. The B&B doesn't look like much from the outside. But, don't let appearances fool you! Step inside and be greeted by a warm, loving innkeeper - that would be Alla. Take a journey back in time (you'll see what I mean when you get there!), and get treated to an uncommon level of hospitality and food. Alla has made her B&B more than just a neat place to stay. It is truly a destination.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay for our 20th Anniversary and found Alla's. We were taken back by her genuine hospitality! We had a fabulous time and immensely enjoyed all the antiques and historical significance of it all. We were blown away by the 100 year old light bulbs still working. How neat! We enjoyed the organic breakfast the most though. Alla is an amazing cook and we enjoyed how special she made us feel and the attention she gave to us. Alla made a big deal out of our anniversary and we enjoyed spending time getting to know Alla and her husband Rick. Thanks for the great memories! Hope to be back for another occasion.

From the very beginning, I knew this place would be special. My husband and I were looking for a special place to take his parents for their 40th anniversary. Somebody gave me the idea of a Bed & Breakfast because it was more romantic and would add to the surprise that we were going for. In preparing for our visit, I emailed the innkeeper, Alla many times with MANY questions and requests. She was so patient and helped with those requests and even gave me more ideas to make the weekend more special. We arrived very late due to the vow renewal service. Alla and her husband greeted us with smiles, hugs, a glass of wine & hors d’oeuvres. The home was completely charming. My husband loved learning about all the antiques and their stories. The service and meals were incredible. After breakfast, we were full all day long while exploring Dallas; which was very close. I like to research places and see all the reviews and everything about it before I go. I could not find anything negative about Alla’s Historical Bed & Breakfast. I thought it must be a trick or they have a lot of friends. I found that the second part is somewhat true because everybody leaves this home as a friend. Alla truly goes out of her way to make everyone feel special and truly taken care of. My in-laws told us that this was this best anniversary yet!!

My husband, my brother and I stayed at Alla’s Bed and Breakfast on June 26, 2010. Actually the trip from Louisiana to Dallas was on our anniversary weekend and it was a get-a-way from our 8 year old and 11 month old daughters. We really didn’t know what to expect because my mother-in-law had made all the arrangements for us. She looked for a convenient location and reasonable rates we were very please that she found both in Alla's B&B. It was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the first “hello” I was impressed. Alla greeted us with a hug, and I’m a “hugger”. She was a very warm, funny, delightfully friendly hostess who made us feel right at home. When we arrived we were served delicious wine and hors d'oeurves which we enjoyed while relaxing on the porch. I really wanted a B&B with a historical background and this was exactly what I was looking for. I love the antique furnishings I wanted to touch everything. Sorry, Alla about the lamp but you fixed it with her magic touch (and a light bulb). We chose the organic breakfast the next morning. Everything was homemade and delicious. We shared the breakfast with a couple from the Houston area. Like us, they had small children and we enjoyed visiting with them also. We were not rushed in any way to leave, Alla visited with us on the front porch. It felt like going home to Grandma’s house. We would recommend this get-a-way for anyone. Thank you, Alla, for a very memorable weekend. Sarah and Gene Russell and Cliff Nelson.

My wife and I spend our second anniversary at Alla's Bed and Breakfast primarily because of the organic breakfast. My wife has a digestive disorder and we have to watch what we eat. We love going to b&b's but we can't enjoy the experience if my wife can't enjoy the food. This has been the best all-around experience because of the organic food, the historical significance (which I love), and the most courteous hospitable innkeeper. We felt like we were her children, coming home to enjoy a weekend amidst our hectic pace and lifestyle. This has been a great and refreshing pause in our life. We highly recommend this B&B to everyone we know!

My husband and I spent a weekend at Alla's for our second wedding anniversary. We rarely eat out because I have a digestive disease and must eat a very strict organic/natural diet. I was so thrilled to find Alla's B&B!! Normally I have to bring a lot of my own food to a B&B, but not this time! If you are on a special diet, Alla has you covered from the organic breakfast to all kinds of organic teas and right down to the natural microwave popcorn available to all guests. It was so nice not to worry about the food being served and just be able to relax and enjoy the experience. Besides the food, we were amazed at Alla's hospitality and service. Rick, Alla's husband, greeted us on the porch when we pulled into the drive, and Alla immediately greeted us with a warm hug when we stepped inside. You aren't just her guests. She treats you like family. And by the time you leave, you'll feel like you ARE a part of her family. Alla's is the most outstanding and enjoyable B&B hospitality I've ever experienced! To top it all off, the house is a tremendous historical experience. From 100+-year-old Edison light bulbs to antique gramophones to antique refrigerators to antique TVs to antique sinks, you feel as if you've taken a step back in time. Everything in the house still works (even the old antique telephones!), so this historic B&B gives you a true taste of history. Fabulous food. The warmest hospitality you'll ever experience. And a step back in time that fosters peaceful relaxation. That's Alla's B&B :)

I was looking for a place to surprise my husband for his birthday. I really lucked out finding a place that was close to his job. I called Alla and was pleasantly surprised to find out how nice and helpful she was. She worked with me to help make this a wonderful surprise for my husband. My husband is generally not a fan of B&B's but this one was different. From the moment you walked in the door, Alla treated you like you were family. Our room was warm, cozy and romantic. We used the romantic hottub that night complete with candles, special lighting and chocolates. The European breakfast was superb! My favorite was the potatoes. My husband and I had a wonderful time and we look forward to visiting again.

My husband wanted to surprise me for our 40th anniversary this year. We had never been to a B&B but had talked about it on several occasions. Well, surprise me he did. It was a fun experience and the delicious breakfast was the icing on the cake! Alla is a GREAT cook - we'll be talking about that breakfast for a long time! Our hosts were friendly and hospitable, the rooms were beautiful and the antiques marvelous. We are looking forward to trying a B&B again. It will be hard to find one that can beat Alla's hospitality and cooking!

My husband and I stayed here for a night just to get away and relax- and that is exactly what we did! The house is so charming and full of character. All of the furnishings are consistent with the time and era the house was built in which gave it all the more charm. Alla was an exceptional host! Superb is simply the best word to describe my stay. She blew me and my expectations out the window- she was so great. To sum it up.... We came in as strangers and left the best of friends.

I have stayed in a number of inns and B&Bs. Most have had nice features, ambience, food, location, etc.... but what makes Alla's unique is Alla. I felt like I was a welcome guest in someone's home. We only stayed one evening, but I know we will be going back. And if you don't get the organic breakfast you are missing a real treat! I was full for the rest of the day!!! Thank you, Alla!

It was very memorable and we will definitely be staying again sometime soon.

My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary at Alla's cozy and quiet B&B! We throughly enjoyed the facinating tour of the house, and learning the history of the incredible antiques that furnish the B&B. Alla's organic breakfast was an incredible and yummy adventure for our taste buds. Her delicious homemade organic jams were the best I've ever tasted! We throughly enjoyed relaxing in the private spa complete with music and romantic miniture lights glowing around us. The highlight of our time was getting to know Rick and Alla. They were both so warm and welcoming that we soon felt like family. We loved hearing their stories. We looking forward to visiting Alla's one of a kind B&B again. Laura and Andrew Davis

This is a small, comfortable B&B filled with neat historical artifacts. The house itself is homey and lovely, though the neighborhood is nothing special. Alla is a great cook--this was the best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B, hands down. However, don't come here if you're looking to be left alone in peace and quiet. Alla believes in true Old World hospitality, and she will tend to your every need whether you like it or not!
My Dear Molly, You went for so many days without breakfast and I think that even your own Mom would not be quiet! I’m glad that I insisted that you have breakfast at least once on that day! It seems to me that you enjoyed it. I know that you will still fit perfectly into your small wedding gown and will be the most beautiful bride in the whole world! Love, Alla

Alla's personal touch is unmatched, the charm of her outstanding B and B is only surpassed by her warmth and her cheerful personality. She makes her guests feel completely at home from the moment they walk through the door. A stickler for details, she leads her guests through a fantastic preview of their upcoming visit and the stay lives up to every thing she says it will be. We had to leave early the next morning, but Alla went to extraordinary lengths to arrange for us to come for breakfast later in the week. This is an experience for out of towners and for those looking for a retreat just down the street from their home.

Well, I suggested to do a getaway with my boyfriend and asked him what did he think about doing a break and breakfast. Not too far out and not too expensive. Searching close to home I found this lovely bread and breakfast inside the city limits in Duncanville, Tx. Both my boyfriend and I had never been to a bread and breakfast and really didn't know what to expect. Well, I knew I wanted a romantic and lovely time so I made sure to include all the amenities they could offer, which was the romantic package plus a few more additions. I got there first before my boyfriend for the weekend and found that the innkeeper was an amazingly wonderful woman who I knew talking to her over the phone was very caring. She welcomed me with such happiness, I knew at that moment our time at the home was going to be a high! Talk about historical, in a AMAZEMENT so many antiques, so many things over 100 years old, like the lamps and the light bulbs! I couldn't believe I was in a home that still had light bulbs that were much, much older than myself. LOL, I also included the organic international breakfast each morning we stayed at the house. Man! Man ole man! This breakfast we had was so awesome! Everything was either home grown, or organically safe! Alla is an incredible cook and she puts on the WORKS when it comes to her breakfasts and her dinners for that everything made from scratch and healthy! Amazingly great food all the way around. I could not believe that the bread and breakfast would be as romantic as she set it up! She truly loves people and loves romance! She was so excited that we were there, we laughed and talked and her husband Rick is awesome too! The atmosphere was so enticing and so much LOVE in the air! The spa is great, the food was great, the innkeeper and her husband were great, the house was great! I loved seeing all the antiques and to hear about how old each item or piece of furniture was! Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Alla's B&B is the most perfect place for the much needed getaway. My husband and I spent our second visit at Alla's just 2 weekends ago and I'm already looking forward to going back a 3rd time. The home is inviting and intriguing and has so much history. Attention is paid to every detail of your stay starting the moment you get there. The room we stayed in was very clean and outstanding and a fest for your eyes to look at. The breakfast in the morning is nothing like you've ever had before and is soo delicious, I swear I was at a 5 star restaurant. I was happy from the time i got there till it was time for us to check out.

Our stay at Alla and Rick's was amazing. Alla greated us with a huge, warm hug. I felt like I was home. Her detailed knowledge of every piece of antique furniture and decor of the house was so interesting. She is beautiful on the inside as well as being gorgeous on the out. Spending time getting to know her and her family made us feel like one of them. It happened to be my honey's birthday and her and her husband's anniversary. She allowed us to share in their joyous day. The spa was superb. I would say my favorite part. Although, she did get up at 5am to make her yummy gourmet breakfast for us since I had to leave early. I have never been to a B&B that was so hospitable. We loved, loved every minute of it. Can't wait to go back. Austin, TX

When you arrive at Alla's b&b, you feel like you have come home. We walked in and were greeted with a warm hug, a chilled glass of wine, and a homemade appetizer hot out of the oven. Just like the old days where family sat around the kitchen table and talked for hours, we spent the afternoon chatting and getting to know each other. Alla puts her whole heart into her hospitality and it is a wonderful experience to be in her lovely home. We look forward to our next visit. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

I'm so glad my friends could finally meet Alla after months of hearing about my Dallas home and the wonderful person who took care of me. I don't think I could have survived my long project in Dallas if I had not found this place. I'm always so happy here and I'll be staying with Alla every time I come to Dallas. My wife and I need a nice romantic get away and Alla's was perfect. The history behind all of the things house was amazing. We booked the spa and it did wonders for my back and help me sleep like a baby. The organic breakfast was massive and tasty. Potatoes will never taste the same again. And the most important thing to me was the service and I have never meet any one sweetier or more open then Alla and her husband Rick. The price is also very cheap for a bed and breakfast and worth every dollar.

Why does Alla deserve a top rating you may ask. The most important thing to me in a room is the bed and I have stayed in many uncomfortable beds. Not Alla's! The mattress was perfect. The sheets were clean, almost new looking, and pressed (yes, can you believe it), the pillows were fluffy, and I was plenty warm (I'm very cold-natured). What more could you ask for? Well, Alla goes the extra mile. We stayed two nights and Alla took it upon herself to clean and organize our room. We were very surprised. No other bed and breakfast place has ever done this for us. She does not take any shortcuts. Upon arrival we even received a tour of all the antiques in the house and she explained the history of the house. She made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. She took time to get to know us and customized our breakfast according to our tastes and wishes. There was plenty of food and drinks to choose from and all made from scratch - the jams, the crepes, the potatoes, all! You can't find service like this anywhere. Especially not for the low prices Alla charges. Go see yourself! You won't regret it! We have good memories!

Alla reminds me of days gone by when service was as genuine. It's obvious she enjoys making people feel at home and offers every comfort she can. My children and I were delighted with her antiques and her explanation of the history of home and its belongs. Her staying to visit with us, make us feel welcome was beyond my expectations - Thank you, Alla. I felt so relaxed, at home, cared about. I hope to come again and have my husband meet you and your family. Margo and your Babies - Cassie, Cora and Stephen

I was very pleased with Alla's place. She is an charming and beautiful woman and her husband Rick is very cool. He has some great antiques that are all over both houses. I stayed at the other house which was not as pretty outside but the inside was a treasure trove of antiques and charm from days gone by. Duncanville is a great little small town as well. The whole experience was much better than a typical Courtyard hotel or something like that for a business traveler like me.

Alla is a wonderful hostess who truly cares about the comfort and wants of her guests. The furniture was all antiques and was excellently maintained. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts that she serves (both the organic and American ones) were wonderfully prepared. We really enjoyed the leisurely breakfasts and the great conversations with Rick and Alla. We are very appreciative that she could accommodate our vegetarian diets. If you are interested, the house has an excellent collection of old TVs, Radio, Gramophone, music boxes and even a refrigerator, all of which work!! We would love to go back there again!! Padmini, Sreedhar and Mohana!!

Even before we arrived Alla spoke with us on the phone to ask ways she could make our stay more enjoyable--if we needed any special arrangements or had any personal preferences. Upon arrival we were greeted enthusiastically and helped in with our bags, immediately feeling like we were home to stay with long lost family. During our stay Alla and her husband were very accomodating and pleasant despite us accidentally not setting the alarm right and them getting called by the police late at night! Through it all, Alla was very loving and hospitable, never making us feel the least bit out of place or bothersome. She accomodated my special dietary request without hesitation for the organic breakfast which was OUTSTANDING, not to mention the family atmosphere throughout. I was sad to leave this cozy home after staying only two nights, but know that Alla and I will keep in contact and plan to return again soon.

My husband surprised me with a night at Alla's for Valentine's Day. From the moment we arrived, we felt that Alla was so very honored to have us in her home. She and her husband Rick do an outstanding job of making you feel welcome and comfortable. Alla bends over backwards to do anything she can to make her guests feel at home. The spa was AMAZING. And her organic breakfast was wonderful as well. Great conversation and interesting antiques made our stay most enjoyable. I would highly recommend Alla's B&B.

I don't know where to begin! Alla's hospitality is amazing! I loved hearing about the story of how she met Rick and the hilarious part about the proposal. The house is gorgeous and the food is absolutely scrumptious! I don't know of any other place where the food is that delicious! I cannot wait to return and will be keeping contact with them for years to come. I recommend you stay at Alla's because it feels like home! :)

My company sent me to Dallas for two days, and I expected just a place to stay. Instead, I was received warmly, fed exceptionally, and entertained by Alla's personality. This bed and breakfast is a true jewel, and so is Alla.
5 on January 21, 2010
When I first arrived, I was impressed with the over-all beauty of the home. It has been carefully maintained and kept to the period, right down to the light bulbs in the home. The food that Alla prepares is impeccable, beyond reproach, from a basic American style breakfast to a fine European breakfast, and also her dinners, I would come for the food alone if I lived in the Dallas area. Having stayed at many bed and breakfasts accross the country, I have found Alla's Bed and Breakfast in Dallas to be the nicest and most comfortable that I have visited. TOP NOTCH no doubt!

To future Guests: You are very lucky to have Alla as your hostess. She is truly a wonderful person...a lot of energy, gracious & full of interesting stories from her homeland. She will go out of her way to accommodate your wishes to make this your home.... away from home. I hope the next tome I am in, or, pass through the Dallas area I will find a vacancy here. Thank you Alla for a wonderful stay. My best wishes to you & your family.

I'm sure I'll be back to think place. It was the best four days and unforgettable Christmas in my life. Your caring, hospitality and kindness amazed me. I felt like a queen. Your amazing antic decorated B&B is romantic walk to the past. I'd like to pay special attention to Spa & Cabana. It's the best way to have relaxation after busy shoping day :-) I loved your Europian organic breakfast and dinner.I will recommend my friend to visit this unique place and meet the carming lady of the house. Dear Alla and Rick thank you for your gracious hospitality! With warm wishes, Tomaszycki Halyna.

Staying at such amazing place carries you to a place where the style of ancient ary and Ukrainian-American hospitality are closely interwined. The friendliness which I've been welcomed with made me feel like at home. If I felt lonely, Alla was happy to keep me a company. I spent a great time there! During the visit I gained few pounds because of her terrific breakfast and dinner. I would recommend this place to anyone who vslues great rest, unique interior, home made food and excellent cordiality. Now I know there is the place in Duncanville where I am welcomed and awaited. I don't where exactly to begin. But I would start from so many eye-opening experiences from the very moment when I walked in. Everything smelled different, maybe slight sent of perfume, age-wood antiques, fresh linens or perphaps coffee to already have greet me. I'm not trying to describe this place as being TOO HISTORIC to a degree that it smells musty inside, no no. The profound, true-and-authentic history that can be observed inside this handmade inn very-well-kept is what stimulated my virtual smelling sense. Its quiet location, yet conveniently located close to the Dallas/Ft. Worth metropolitan area, the Metro area, warm down-to-earth, whole-hearted personality of the inkeeper, Alla, her hearty food and hand-made deserts, a full care given to guests during/after inn business hours, wealth of information available from Alla (on the premise, local history, her life as an Ukranian immigrant, photography, etc. to just name a few), her spa and cabana in a private corner of the backyard, amazing cooking seen in breakfast and supper, I mean, overall the service is fully meticulous, inn including bedroom, bed, bathroom all areas are kept very clean and neat, I did not see anything wrong to displease me during my stay in Sep. 2009. My sincere thanks goes to Alla and her husband and her son as strong supporter and hosts at this wonderful place. Price is kept well below what this place deserves. I would definately recommend this place to my friends and relatives and sincerely hope to come back to stay some days to come. Thank you, Alla. Y. Konoma

Very charming & sparkling clean home with the friendliest people I have ever met. Furnished beautifully, with lots of beautiful antiques, candles, candies, shampoos, personal items, DVD's & antique refrigerator full of drinks. Microwave & paper plates if you decide you want a late night snack. We were greeted by big smiles & hugs. Had a tour of their charming home, all kinds of antiques, phonograph, tv's, refrigerator/freezer, even a toilet almost100 yrs old, sink 100 yrs, oil lamps, telephones, light bulbs over 100 yrs old, working. WOW! Worth going just to see these antiques. I want to bring my kids to see this great place & to meet these wonderful people. Went into kitchen to see more antiques & have horderves & wine. We had a nice chat getting to know these wonderful, special people. They left for the night, we had the whole house to ourselves. Rooms are large & beautiful. Before they left they asked us when we wanted breakfast, that we didn't have to hurry & leave. In the Morning Alla rang a bell announcing breakfast is ready. We had a delicious breakfast of German coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious & beautifully displayed plate of fruit & three different kinds of homemade jams, organic eggs, & delicious seasoned potatoes & let's not forget the delicious crepes. Yum! Alla put a candle on crepes & lit it, we were asked to make a wish, blow out the candles. She took pictures of us,e-mailed the pictures to us,very special. Had a nice long relaxing breakfast, never rushed. Alla made us feel very special, king & queen for the day. Hated to leave. Made wonderful friends, feel like they are more than friends, feel like we have known them forever, like family. Alla told us of a park close by that had nature trails, we love to hike & explore. Alla drew a map & showed us how to go. We went there, enjoyed that special time too. Can't say enough about these special people & our wonderful stay at their beautiful & charming historical home. Can't wait to go back.

There are so many words I want to describe of our experience at Alla's Historical B&B. With each visit we have, with not only our hostess but the atmosphere we find that there are no bounds to being impressed. Every detail of the house has been painseakingly planned out to give guest the best. Not only in quality but to bring a piece of the past back to this time period. Alla's Historical B&B gives guest a chance to feel as if they are living in a different time. From the beauitful antique beds to the made-from-scratch food. Alla has went above and beyond to exceed anyones expectations. My husband and I will continue to indulge ourselves at the greatest bed and breakfast in the state.

We thoroughly enjoyed our night at Alla's. Alla's knowledge of her treasure of a house along with her warmth made us feel right at home. We both slept soundly in our large, comfortable bedroom. It was really sweet to have fresh cut roses put in the room, so much attention to detail. We had one of the most wonderful breakfasts ever. Ham, crepes, fresh fruit, potatoes and eggs, all cooked to perfection and topped of with delicious German coffee. Alla is a delight and we recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone coming to the Dallas area. Truly a treasure.

Rick and Alla are some of the friendliest people you can meet. We were warmly greeted and given a tour of the house along with it's rich history. The house is immaculately clean and filled with precious antiques in every corner. Walking in makes you feel as if you just stepped back a century in time. The service is outstanding and every detail has been covered. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious! 100% organic everything. The presentation was perfect! Except that it smells so good you almost don't want to eat it. Our room was gorgeous with a comfortable canopied bed and beautiful furnishings. Thanks to Rick and Alla for making our 20th wedding anniversary even more special.

My girlfriend and I arrived late Friday night and left on Sunday. Throughout our visit, Alla was extremely patient and attentive - it is clear that she takes personal pride in what she does, and she is very friendly and personable. When we left, we forgot a couple items and Alla was helpful in returning those to us - a personal service that went above and beyond that we really appreciated.

My experience with Alla's marvelous cooking is beyond my biggest expectation! The European dinners cuisine is like nothing I have ever experienced even here in Germany. Your preparation of the food reminds me of how my parents did it in the old days before the war; truly from scratch! I love your home, antique working phones and TV's, oil light fixtures, beds and 150 year old carved Scottish table! You should never stray from your charming presentation which is simply enjoyable! I hope to someday return and bring my family as well. They'll think they are still in Europe! All the best from Bavaria! Your new friend, Fred from Germany

Alla's B&B was truly a spectacular experience! The historical land marked home instantly brings you back 100 years into history by placing you in a hospital atmosphere of serenity and luxury. The aromatic breakfast blesses the senses due to the fresh organic ingredients and ornate presentation, making us feel like guests in a small European villa. Alla welcomes everyone with enthusiasm and hospitality, making you feel like family during the stay. This was by far the B&B we've been to! -Alex

We had a fantastic stay at Alla's B&B. We had a warm welcome and warm treats waiting for us upon our arrival. We were meeting with friends staying in Dallas all week long, and this was an easy less than 15 minute trip to Dallas. We went with 2 other couples and had the whole house to ourselves. We have stayed at many B&B and this ranks among the top. Breakfast was amazing, go for it, do not miss out on the organic breakfast. This is a must have. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next visit. This is a family operation and we felt right at home. So much history in this house and everything inside is an original and works!

The hugs that she gave us when we first came and left were the best! Also, another thing was we were able to enjoy her AMAZING organic breakfasts after our race was finished and it was the best reward for finishing. Thank you Alla!

My mom and I stayed at Alla's Bed and Breakfast and were blown away with how amazing the whole experience was! We were met with wonderful hospitality and from the moment we walked in we felt like we had walked into the home of a long time friend. We felt very well taken care of, catered to, and welcomed. Alla gave us a fun tour of all her collected antiques and the most wonderful part of our stay was the food!! Alla is by far the best chef ever and made us a huge, wonderful, organic breakfast every morning of our stay. She makes everything fresh, organic, and from scratch and I have never tasted anything more wonderful! The other amazing part of our time at Alla's that only added to the welcoming and relaxing quality of our stay was the spa and cabana that Alla provides. She created a very special atmosphere for me and my mom and made us feel like queens! I have come to love Alla and highly recommend her Bed and Breakfast to anybody and everybody!!

As I had a two Month business trip in the Dallas area, I preferred a B&B to a hotel. I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. Both Alla and Rick did whatever possible to make my stay as European as possible, Alla even asked what my favorite dishes were and checked out the recipes over the internet to serve them the next day by surprise, not to mention the pleasant discussions we had with a good Belgian beer. An unforgettable experience I definitely will repeat and warmly recommend.

Alla's B&B is a peaceful hideaway in the middle of a city. The home is cozy and the beds are like sleeping on a slice of heaven! My husband and I spent 2 nights to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. Alla prepared the most delicious breakfast I have ever experienced. We had a candle light dinner for 2 with wine and candles that was presented so beautifully and I do believe the best salmon I have ever eaten. We had a desert thatwas so fluffy and sweet..mmmm.. The food is amazing. I don't know of anywhere else that we could have had such a awesome meal. Alla and Rick are warm and fun people that we look forward to seeing again-we met as strangers and we all hugged and left as friends and can't wait for another trip to Alla's where her attention and great cheer warm your hearts and make you laugh! My best friend and I made last minute plans for a girl getaway. We found Alla's B&B online, as we wanted a place close to Dallas, but not downtown, and the organic breakfast caught our attention. We were not disappointed! After a long day shopping we arrived at Alla's to find a very warm welcome, and some amazing hors d'oeuvres and wine. The entire house is beautifully finished in antiques. The breakfast was honestly the best I have ever eaten. None of it would have been complete, though, without Rick and Alla. They are so friendly, giving, and full of fascinating stories.

You have found what you have been looking for! Romantic ambiance, relaxation and a delicious gourmet paradise are just a few delights you'll experience and enjoy when staying at Alla's. For over two years now, whenever we're in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we stay at Alla's...she's located so close to many area attractions and really, we wouldn't stay anywhere else! Alla's B and B is historically decorated with gorgeous antiques from all over the world and the ambiance is amazing. The last time we stayed in the beautiful "Pelt's" room. We loved the very comfortable antique canopy bed in the gorgeously decorated romantic room. We also enjoyed the new large spa and cabana, made exquisite with privacy and candles. Alla and her gracious hospitality is what makes Alla's B and B and keeps us coming back. She spoils us with her friendly kindness and witty conversation. She is an outstandingly gifted chef and never disappoints us with her scrumptious breakfasts and dinners, in fact her food is in one word, amazing. She always greets us upon our arrival with wine and fresh baked snacks...this will appeal to any "foodies" delight. Yum! My comment wouldn't be complete without mentioning Rick, Alla's husband who is equally as wonderful as Alla. Rick has shared with us many stories of his extensive travels around the world and he's responsible for finding the gorgeous antiquities that furnish Alla's B and B. We have traveled in and outside the US and have yet to find a B and B that comes close to rivaling Alla's. Stay at Alla's and you will not be disappointed! Kevin and Dianna Kruse

Alla's B&B was all that I had hoped for and more to make my boyfriends b-day one he will remember always! Alla is such a wonderful and kind spirit, she lights up a room and makes her guests feel so "at home". We will definitely be back and we will tell all of our friends and family! The B&B is the most beautiful home with antiques and simply gorgeous room decor'. Every room was spotless and very well kept. As we walked in we were greeted with such hospitality, really very nice feeling of warmth the moment we walked in the door. The room we stayed in was breathtaking and our favorite part of the evening was the spa and cabana, I can't even describe it to you, you would need to go check it out for yourselves! The breakfast the next morning was to die for, just an unbelieveable experience all the way around. It's one we will never forget and can't wait to go back again and again!

I was coming all the way from Singapore to Dallas the first time - that's a 26 hours flight and had about 8 hours delay at the transit airport - to receive Alla's warm hug at the end of that long flight at the coziest home was so much appreciated indeed. Both Rick and Alla were such warm friendly people that makes me welcomed in Dallas right away. Alla have such a beautiful heart and a sincere care and interest for people. I had wonderful chats with her with some very good wine on many nights that I was there. I got to meet many new people as well. She is very expressive in her ways and the food that she prepares shows the genuine love she has for people. I'll miss her very much when I return back to Asia - to Singapore. May she continue to bless many more like the way I've been blessed.

Alla is the best at what she does, she truly represents what a bed and breakfast should be. Not only does she make you feel welcome, her organic breakfast in totally in a class by itself! Alla's Bed and Breakfast was my very 1st experience with my daughters, and I must say, she made us very comfortable from the introduction. The history of the bed and breakfast home and its appliances was very interesting. The home felt like "home"; good nights sleep and breakfast served by the cheerful hostess! I will personally recommend this experience to everyone that I know that are coming to TX.... Micheal Williams

Alla my dear....my year tour in Iraq is nearing an end! My husband and I are looking forward to returning to your exceptional B&B. Our second home!! We are planning to book one of your Romantic get-aways. We can't wait to check out your new spa!! We have had so many wonderful memories with you and your family in Alla's B&B!! Its truly like coming home! Having lived in Europe and having the exceptional good fortune to find your B&B... I can honestly say the "Old European" touch you give your B&B is awesome! The food....what can we say...other then that's one of the reason we keep coming back. But more so...we keep coming back... for the exceptional company and wonderful conversations/debates and of course the history lessons!! Alla's B&B is a hidden "GEM" in Texas! I was very pleased when I logged into your web page and saw all the wonderful updates and changes you made. Well done!!

We travel by car, often between Atlanta and San Diego, frequently staying in bed and breakfasts. This was our first, but definitely not our last stay at Alla's. The accommodations and hospitality were the best, and the food was absoultely fantastic. Thanks Alla and Rick. Gini and John KNox

Alla is a wonderful hostess. She is fun to talk to with a thoughtful and gregarious personality. Her husband is equally interesting and we enjoyed learning about his antiques and love of them. The B&B itself is in on a quiet street and feels secluded. It is filled with unique and interesting antiques from furnishings to bathroom fixtures and even light bulbs. The house and kitchen were spotless (Alla takes her position as hostess seriously) and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our breakfasts were tasty, filling and nutritious and for our one dinner we enjoyed the best cooked salmon ever. The spa was the icing on the cake of a wonderful evening of food, friends and music. We will definitely return.

This beautiful and breathtaking B&B is our new found getaway haven. The room was superb, the food was out of this world, and the company and service was amazing! I highly recommend this B&B. It was by far the best B&B experience me and mine have ever encountered! Much thanks to Alla and we will be back real soon! Gina & Amber

Alla is the best cook and hostess I have ever met at a b&b. There was great food and conversation and it made our stay the most memorable. Excellent in every way!!!!!!!!!!

This is our 3rd visit to Alla's and each time we arrive it is like coming into the house of a very close friend. It's a very quiet restful home and the food is delicious, but the thing that makes it so very special for us is the warmth and friendliness of both Alla and Rick have for their guests. As we are driving out of the driveway after good-byes, we start planning our next trip to Dallas (a jaunt from Minnesota!).

My husband and I celebrated our 6th anniversary at Alla's B & B. It was a rushed, action packed weekend, but when we arrived at the Bed & Breakfast, we instantly felt at home and comfortable. We were greeted as soon as we pulled into the drive way with warm hugs, an interesting tour, tasty treats and wine. The organic European breakfast was amazing. The homemade yogurt and jams were awesome! She even added decorations and candles for our anniversary- so thoughtful! Alla and Rick made our 6th anniversary a memorable one... when we make it back to Dallas, there's no doubt where we'll be staying!

Alla and Rick are the most personable B&B owners I've ever met. They truly love people and what they do and it shows in their openness and hospitality. The breakfasts couldn't be beat! I will always stay with Alla whenever I'm in the area and will recommend her B&B to everyone I know. With Love, Clint and Misti

My boyfriend and I decided to stay in Alla's B&B when I came to visit from New York. It was such a sweet little home and we were instantly welcomed with big hugs from Alla. We got a grand tour and fantastic hors d'oeuvres with Alla and her husband and we oogled at their amazing collection of antiques. The cabana spa was relaxing and the entire night was just a dream. We sat down to a gorgeous breakfast spread of hot blintzes, organic fruit, homemade jam, and imported coffee. It was hands-down the best B&B experience we've ever had. Thanks, Alla and Rick for your hospitality :) -Monica and Jonathan

My husband and I were given the B&B gift certificate from my mother "Tess." We were trying to get moved and married before my husbands sudden deployment. My mom insisted that we take time for ourselves and she treated us. We were dead tired, physically exhausted from moving and needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. We were greeted with such enthusiasm and vigor that it instantly energized us. We had a tour of our room and areas of the guest house we would need and she wanted us to stay for dinner. A home cooked meal sounded wonderful and we were absolutely blown away with how fresh and wonderful the dinner was. Alla's stories and service were such a delight that we had energy and were laughing right away. Thank you for helping us escape our bitter sweet reality. I cannot wait for my husbands return and our visit to Alla! I loved "talking shop" antiques and history with you!

Elena & I called in a last minute reservation on Sunday. We were welcome like long lost relatives. Alla took us on a tour of the historic property & we drank wine over humerous personal stories that made us feel right at home. Alla & Rick made us feel like family for our little weekend get-a-way. We felt like we took a trip back in time. The breeakfast the next morning was the best I ever had in my life. It was all organic and was like heaven in your mouth!!! Everyone should eat her breakfast once in their life.. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! The house was beautiful, Alla was so funny & charming.. Rick was comforting.. You do not want to leave. THIS SHOULD PLACE SHOULD WIN AN AWARD! We will definately return.. We feel like we have made new friends.. Please take a piece of the old country in your heart & stay the weekend with Alla & Rick.. Its worth every penny... Chas & Elena

Elena & I made a last minute reservation & was greeted with the warmth of long lost family. We were taken on a tour of the homes impressive historial items. Alla spoke with the knowledge of a historian. " We felt like family!!!!" We were served wine in the later evening & were entertained with humorous personal stories. Itw as like taking a trip back into time. The house was beautiful and accommadations were awesome... But I must say that the breakfast was the "BEST" I've ever had and you have to taste it to believe it... Organic, fresh and abundant!!!!!! Elena & I will definately return.. We highly recommend this B&B but the friends that Alla & rick are to there guests is award wining.. They care and are terrific people... Enjoy a night in the past and stay at the more than words can say B&B... Sincerely, Elena & Chas

You will surely not be dissapointed staying at Alla's. The atmosphere and the food were second to none! Alla is a magnificent cook with an Eastern European flair and will make you feel right at home. Don't pass up the best B&B in Texas. You must stay and you will like it!

My husband and I are from Buffalo, NY. We spent many nights in hotels across the US taking our 1 month honeymoon, and to be greated with such warm welcome and love almost made me cry. Let me tell you the food is AMAZING! Nothing in any of the states we stayed in remotely close to being as good as Alla's dishes! I just wish I could take her home with us to continue experienceing all the love she puts into her cooking, and hospitality! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I can't wait to come back! I just hope my new husband won't compare my cooking...yikes!

You DO have the BEST B&B around! And in our own town, no less. My parents have raved about their two stays and one lunch at Alla's, so when we needed a place to celebrate our 17th anniversary, we stayed at Alla's ... and we weren't disappointed. Lively & warm conversation, a melt-in-your-mouth meal, a fantastic room and amazing still-functioning antiques all came together to make a perfect package. You come too, and you'll see we're right!

My husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with the charming Alla and Rick. We felt right at home and could not have asked for a more pleasurable experience. But be warned, Alla's food is superb and you will get spoiled and never want restaurant food again!!
5 on June 08, 2009
My husband, myself, and our little dog stayed at Alla's bed and breakfast and felt right at home. The organic breakfast was superb! Thank you All for allowing us to bring our little "guy" with us. Most bed and breakfast's don't allow dogs but you do allow small, well behaved ones. We felt like we were in another country!

Alla, Your hospitality made this one of the best weekend getaways we have had. We loved hearing the history of the place and all the antiques in it. I'll be talking about that breakfast for a long time. I wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back next year when the Ren Fair comes to town. God bless, The Ratcliff Family

We had a wonderful time staying at Alla's! It was easy for us to find, convenient to anywhere we wanted to go in the Dallas area, beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, and a most amazing home-made breakfast! We enjoyed getting to know our hostess and her husband, they are extremely hospitable and helpful with anything a guest might need. We have traveled in Europe staying at numerous b&b's and never experienced anything quite like Alla's! You'll want to go back!

This was the most wonderful experience I could possibly have had as a first time B&B stay. It will become a destination in itself. I will certainly try other B&B's after this!

The area is really quiet, which is great, and the food is great! There's a lot of antiques in the house, and the innkeeper is the best!

Dear Alla & Rick It's hard to believe that I have been here over SIX months......... and now I must move on. I am very grateful that the Lord put you in my life and that we have become friends. You & Rick have made my extended stay exceptional with your warm & lovely ways! I have so enjoyed the many conversations and debates of your homeland and your travels to America. More so -- getting to know your family. It's hard to live as your home is not only comfortable but it's been great being so close to my "HQ" the "Army & Air Force Exchange Services" and shopping areas. Alla, you are a delightful and wonderful woman. You add a special warmth to this home as does Rick and all the happy memories that have been shared in this home! I wish you and your family happiness and all life's good fortune! God bless. P.S: My husband asked that I share his words of thanks for all of the great cooking and conversations! (Next dinner at our house!)

Dearest Alla, When I drove into your driveway for the first time, and you came out to my car with the most genuine smile, honest eyes, and angelic voice, I knew that I had made the right choice (it was divine) A million thanks to you & Rick for making an (otherwise mundane week) exciting, memorable, and a fun filled event during my visit at your B&B. When I spoke to you by telephone, I heard a pleasant, soft spoken business woman on the other line, however, when I met you in person - I met an angel. Your great delicious, exotic herbs & spices, perfectly blended , and prepared food, tea, and coffee, exceeded my expectations! YOU ARE THE BEST !!! Quality: Most unique decor - best tasting food in America, and prices can't be best - relaxing atmosphere, perfect ambiance! Service: You are lovely, charming and you made me feel like a quine in my own place. Cleanliness: Immaculate from top to bottom or floor to ceiling. It was incredible. How do you do it? Thank you for a new least on life, Joyce Carrol.

My husband and I were attending a wedding in Duncanville and though not far from where we live we decided to pretend we were "out of town". I surprised him with a stay at Alla's vs. a hotel and we LOVED the relaxing stay at this quiet haven. Alla's enchanting personality, the welcoming hug, the stories including the romantic way she and Rick met, made the stay that much more personal. Oh yes, we can't forget the wonderful dinner and breakfast. This retreat was EXACTLY what my husband and I needed.

What a treat for us to spend one night at Alla's B&B. She was so welcoming and fun! They have a saying on their wine glasses "come as strangers, leave as friends." That truly sums up how we felt about Alla and Rick. We really enjoyed their comfortable home and company. The breakfast was wonderful!!! She made us feel loved and refreshed! We will be back.

My husband and I were so fortunate to stumble across this wonderful bed and breakfast. We were not sure what to expect, but upon arriving we were greeted by our new friends, Alla and Rick, and had a marvelous time from beginning to end. The home is immaculate and the antiques are amazing, along with Alla's cooking. You will leave on a VERY full stomach, with lots of new stories and 2 new friends, and a place to come back to!

This is our very first B&B experience and we are so happy! The house is full of amazing antiques (Edison bulbs from 100 years ago, Gramophone, etc.). Order the organic breakfast, you can have the american one any day at Denny's. The breakfast crepes were just amazing. The homemade jam in the yogurt was unbelievable. Hosts Rick and Alla were warm and affectionate, we had a wonderful time. Definitely would go back again, maybe with more friends!

My fiance and I stayed at Alla's B&B for the Cotton Bowl. We didn't know what to expect as we have never stayed at a B&B, but found our stay to be more fun and entertaining than staying at a hotel! Alla is very accomodating funny! We had a blast and will go back again when we make it to the Dallas area!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend. We stumbled upon Alla's B & B near the Dallas area. We were greeted and treated like family. The home is pleasant and cozy. I made a reservation at Alla's Bed and Breakfast as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We had already had a rough day when we arrived at Alla's. We were greeted with a glass of wine and amazing homemade hors d'oeuvres fresh out of the oven. We chit chatted with Alla and her husband and they made us feel so welcomed and uplifted. The room was very cozy and the breakfast the next morning was phenomenal! I would recommend Alla's to anyone and everyone.

As a business traveler, I typically stay in hotels. i am really glad while in the Dallas are I have a new place to stay - Alla's. From the 1920's decor, comfortable and clean rooms to the outstanding breakfasts and company, staying at Alla's was great. I plan on staying there every time I am in the Dallas area and already have made my next reservation.

I don't even know where to begin raving about this place -- from the amazing food that makes you want to lick your plate to Alla's fascinating stories about her home country (she is from Ukraine) as well as her adventures here in the States -- are a delectable treat to any traveler. The rooms are soaked with antique charm, since the innkeeper has gone out of her way to preserve and re-create the spirit of her 1920s house -- yet she also seems to have added a hint of modernization that weaves so perfectly into an impeccable picture of coziness and simplicity. The breakfast table alone deserves to have books written about it!!! I have stayed in several all-inclusive resorts around the US and abroad, and nothing compares with what Alla can whip out in the kitchen! From fresh-squeezed juices to custom-order eggs and crepes with homemade jams, she surpasses French bistros and German pastry shops alike!! I was absolutely impressed with how she was able to re-create these dishes so perfectly!! Her European roots truly show through in the kitchen -- there is absolutely no doubt about it!! This is definitely a place that I will come back to many, many more times! Thank you so much, Alla!

We loved the fact that we could rent out the entire house and use the grill on the porch. The furnishings are all unique antiques, and the owners are just as unique! Alla is friendly and willing to cater to your needs. She also loves to tell stories! :) Excellent breakfasts...one thought is that the second morning's breakfast could have been varied from the morning before, but was still healthy and tasty. Thank you Alla and Rick!

The best part about this bed and breakfast is the hostess-Alla! She is amazing and intriguing, and makes you forget about all the worries in your life. My husband and I come to this b&b often, and it makes us feel like we are miles away from home-even though we live only 30 minutes away. The food is amazing-all organic and tastes great. Her bacon is the only bacon I eat since I do not normally eat pork. The beds are soft, and the b&b is true to the antique period; from the antique toilet to the antique refrigerator and grammaphone. I recently visted with a group of friends and we talked on the antique phones and relaxed on the front porch. I recommend this place for people looking for a b&b in Dallas. Its affordable and its the best one we have been to. Bests!

This was my 1st stay at a B&B and I cant believe what I've been missing out on. When you arive Alla gives you such a warm welcoming. You feel right at home with great company. The house is a treasure in itself. There is so much to see inside and history thru out. The bathroom was clean and well kept, fully stocked with everything you need, unlike a hotel. The room was wonderful and cozy. The bedroom was very clean and soo much detail was given, very lovely.

We have stayed in lovely Bed & Breakfasts from San Fransisco to the Hampton - but this was the best one ever! Alla's warmth and love was evident in every details - she gave us so many beautiful memories and made our family feel so special and well cared for! She fed us the most delicious made from scratch breakfasts and snacks. Our favorites are the crepes and the sweet potato home - fries. And we can't forget the remarkable Rick who's enthusiasm and expertise fills the house with the most precious authentic & functional antiques! P.S.: Don't forget to ask Alla to play her gramophone! She has a very funny vintage record - JUST FOR MEN !!! (very fanny!)

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Alla's B & B and it was a wonderful experience! The food was excellent, but the company was even better. Alla has a fascinating background and her story of how she emigrated to America is better than the best romance novel. I am already looking forward to my next business trip to Dallas so I will have an excuse to spend some time at my new Dallas home. See you soon! Daniel Markoff, Oklahoma City, OK

I spent a very relaxing weekend at Alla's B & B and it was exactly what I was looking for: a peaceful home in a quiet neighborhood with a quaint porch to sit and watch the world go by. I have a busy life and Alla's is my newfound home away from home where I can just relax with wonderful company and exquisite European food. I can't wait to return!

Dear Alla, What an unforgettable way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary! Thank you for opening your home to us - for we felt part of the family and yet you gave us the choice for privacy which made it all seen like well, we felt like royalty!smile We couldn't belive the "opener" - borscht! Immediately, a flood of memories came to us. We felt my ( Erna's) Ukrainian leritage was put on a pedastole and I wished my parents could have experienced it too. It seems incredible that we found such a treasure - and we only like about six blocks away!!! We will spread the news! Thank you SO very much! May God continue to give you joy as you bring joy to others!
