My wife and I only got to stay here for a couple of days, but it was one of the highlights on our two week vacation. The location is up on the hillside above Montreux (accessible by a 5-10 minute cog wheel train that goes every hour), so if you like a quite, relaxing place with a simply amazing view this is perfect. However, if you prefer to be in the heart of the city this may not be the perfect spot for you. From the bed or anywhere else in the flat you can look through large windows that perfectly gaze out over the lake, nearby mountains, and scattered towns. It is about as good as it gets. The owners are super friendly and quick to share a drink or story. They also do a great job of explaining the area and suggesting things to do. If you plan to stay here, please plan on having Anne cook you Raclette. Everything about the meal was amazing! The room itself is clean, well appointed, and has a comfortable bed. If I had to mention a negative (there really was none, we loved it!) it would be the wifi is only accessible in the separate dining area. Price is also very reasonable for the area.

My wife and I stayed at the property for 3 nights during our honeymoon. We really could not have been more happy. The views from the property are breath taking. Amazing views from your room, the balcony, and the dining area. The inn keepers were great. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also cooked us a few delicious traditional meals. I would highly recommend this B&B city of Montreux.

My wife and I spent two days in this B and B with Anne and Slim in mid-June. The room is exceptional and the view from your bed across Lake Geneva to the French Alps is world class, truly exceptional. Balcon sur le Leman is a bit out of the way but just above a train stop for the cog wheel train that leads up the mountain to and past Glion. However, Slim met us at the train and drove us the few minutes to their home. The suite is entirely seperate and below the main house. There is a lovely breakfast room seperate wher Anne served a delicious breakfast and we also availed of her offer to cook dinners both nights. Inquire re: cost in advance so you can decide whether to eat in town. Dining options are expensive in Montreux. We had a terrific hike after a short train ride up the mountain which Slim suggested for us.All in all, a great place with great people and we didn't plan enough time there, I can't recommend the Balcon sur le Leman more highly.
